Snow was encasing a certain hybrid's calves as he trudged through them. The hybrid's forearms were peppered with goosebumps, and his partner wasn't faring any better. A cold chill was creeping down both their spines, and a giant mountain loomed over them. Their environment was enveloped in a white layer of snow, and dark clouds loomed above them. The hybrid's breath was visible within the air, and he was regretting his decision to not bring a jacket of sorts.
"C-Celmaru....w-why must we t-train here?"
Celmaru Waterfield had an uncomfortable experience earlier in his life within the Frozen North, but he knew that he was strong enough to endure it all this time. His partner, Phae Waterfield, wasn't able to truly endure the frigid mountain temperature. Hastily floating over to her husband, Phae pressed up against his back, hoping to obtain or even share his body heat. Two certain globes were pressed against his backside, allowing Celmaru to generate some heat of his own....on his face.
"P-Phae.....p-please don't do that h-here..."
"I'm c-cold...."
"I am too, b-but you don't h-have to-"
Phae wrapped her arms around her husband, nestling against him for warmth. Celmaru couldn't truly fight against it, and continued trudging through the snow. The dying trees surrounded the couple, and the nature around them was being asphyxiated by the heavy snow. The hybrid stepped over fallen leaves and broken twigs, all of them held a thin layer of frost. The mountain loomed over them like a threat, harboring the most amount of snow within the area. As the two reached the base of Mt. Frappe, the wind picked up, whipping at the two fiercely.
"Wha-?!"
"Hyah!"
Snow began to fall around them, pelting them with the white material. A snowstorm was brewing, and escalating quickly. The howls of the wind began to become audible, its cries deafening the couple. Shouting to be heard clearly to each other, Celmaru and Phae yelled back to one another.
"This place doesn't need any more snow!"
"What kind of mountain is this?!"
"One that doesn't like visitors, apparently!"
Celmaru was stubborn, and continued to make his way up the mountain, facing the snowstorm head on. The storm only worsened the higher up they went, preventing the hybrid from flying safely. Celmaru wasn't flying in the first place, but the wind and snow pelting him with its cold truly prevented him from doing much but walk. Celmaru brought his arms to his face, hoping to shield his eyes from the snow and wind swirling around him. Phae was becoming incredibly cold by this point, and her body began to slowly lose its color; currently it was unnoticeable, but eventually it would affect her greatly. The seaweed woman clutched her husband tightly, grasping him with all her might. Their situation was only to become worse if they don't realize the cause of this storm. They'd be lucky to find a form of shelter soon, such as a cave. Either way, this weather would be difficult for them!

The Saiyan had been training in the Frozen North once more, more than usual since he had been residing there; in the Yunzabit Highlands. Though, that day he decided to go for a change of place and move his training up on the Mt. Frappe. He had been there time ago, to help an old man but it wasn’t exactly that pleasant, he could remember there was quite a storm at the time.
“Well, at least the weather’s good now.. It could have been worse, heh.” - he thought to himself. He had been there for some countless time already, but while he was taking a ten kilometer run around the place, a storm suddenly hit up. Cornatto glanced upwards and widened his eyes, he didn’t really see that one coming and he had no reason to suspect an incoming snowstorm.
He let out a sigh and closed his eyes for a brief moment, before he turned and saw someone nearby. “Huh.. I didn’t notice them earlier.” - he said to himself, narrowing his eyes as he attempted to pick up on their energies.
One of them was really strong, he could tell that much but what were they doing there? “Hm.. who knows, perhaps they forgot something here or they just wanted to train a little bit.” - he thought to himself.
He raised an arm and used it to cover his eyes slightly so that he could still see, after that he walked towards the two strangers.
“Hey?! What are you two doing here?!” - He asked, raising his voice so that the two could hear him.

The wind and snow continued to whip and pelt the couple with its sudden strength. The hybrid's arm wasn't doing much for to protect his vision, and Phae was simply clutching as tightly as she could. Their current situation was less than ideal. Suddenly, a voice called out from the storm. Somehow the hybrid couldn't pick up his Ki signature earlier, but dismissed his failure and read his power.
"F-Fifty-nine t-thousand...."
Clenching his fists, Celmaru called back to the figure, merely a silhouette from the blizzard.
"Training! B-But this storm is a c-concerning obstacle in that e-endeavor!"
The hybrid was hit with a giant clump of snow, covering his face in ice cold snow. Frantically wiping the frigid substance from his face, Celmaru stepped over towards the silhouette, hoping that it would know of a way through this insane bundle of frozen madness. A chill began creeping up the hybrid's spine, and a frost-bitten sort of feeling began accumulating within his ankles. Guiding his other hand to his face, Celmaru once again called back to the figure.
"May there be somewhere we could take shelter from this storm? It doesn't seem to be letting up!"
"Celmaru, c-coming to this l-location was a terrible i-idea!"
"I've noticed P-Phae!"
Celmaru turned towards his partner as he retorted in minor irritation, but returned to look towards the opposing silhouette as he trudged over to it. A humanoid figure came into view, and a bundle of spiky black hair greeted him. Celmaru had a better reading of the figure's Ki signature as the couple had approached him, and it felt similar to his Father's. The Ki felt akin to a Saiyan's. Keeping his forearm above his eyes, in a vain effort to keep snow out of them, Celmaru awaited a response, if any, from the Saiyan-esqe figure...hopeful that they knew of a place to take shelter. As Celmaru confronted the stranger, Phae's complexion started to pale...and her body began to change into a more sickly green. Phae's power has begun to plummet already.

The Saiyan squinted slightly, looking in the distance as he tried to take a closer look at the two. It was difficult at first, it wasn’t easy to see through that snowstorm but Cornatto could easily see their traits as soon as he stood next to them. He looked at the male curiously, tilting his head slightly as he sensed his energy; it felt familiar. He had never seen him around but it gave him a familiar feeling, he couldn’t tell why but he felt it.
“You know.. I think both of us could choose a better place to train at this point!” - he told him, narrowing his eyes as he shifted his gaze at the.. woman? He had no idea of what she was but her anatomy gave off a feminine appearance, whatever she was, she didn’t seem to be.. overall well.
“I suppose she won’t be able to handle this for long.. Both are quite strong though. Hm, curious.” - he thought to himself, he glanced around for a brief moment. He knew of a cavern in the surroundings but he couldn’t tell if the three could make a run for it. “I wonder if the dragon is still there though.. I doubt it’d try to face me again either way. I gave him quite the beating that time.” - he muttered, looking at Celmaru once again.
“Yeah, there is a cavern somewhere around here! I’d say North at this point, I’d rather not be wrong but it’s my only guess! You seem quite strong.. I believe you can handle this snowstorm somehow until we are there. Come on, let’s go!” - he told him, raising his voice slightly.
Cornatto began walking away, glancing over his shoulder at times to check if the two were following him.

"I wholeheartedly agree, sir!" Celmaru exclaimed, shaking snow off of his arm, "Surely you know of nearby shelter, I can only hope you do!"
Snow was beginning to accumulate upon the hybrid's upheld forearm, and his senses were numbing. The cold was slowly suppressing his ability to feel anything, and Celmaru was sure that it was affecting Phae as well, and the hybrid's concern rose. She hasn't been moving as much as earlier, possibly to preserve bodily warmth; but that won't last forever, especially in this kind of blizzard. The Saiyan mentioned a cavern nearby that could be used, and the hybrid's expression brightened slightly. Trudging through the thick, white snow once more, Celmaru followed Cornatto in hopes of finding decent shelter. The frozen substance surrounding the three was accumulating along the ground, reaching up to the hybrid's calves. Phae wasn't faring any better then before, and was passively reaching for her husband's belt. The Saiyan periodically looked back towards them, making sure they were following his lead successfully. Eventually a dark cavern came into view, menacingly welcoming anyone to enter its maw. A unsettling feeling overcame the hybrid as he cautiously entered the cavern, keeping his wit about him to sense any nearby threats. Gently dropping Phae onto the rocky ground, Celmaru turned towards Cornatto, who he could now see clearly. Folding his arms, Celmaru spoke out towards the Saiyan, hoping that he was friendly to hybrids such as him.
"I'm surprised you could even find the focus to sense us in that snowy mess...unless you were able to simply see us, which I doubt, our chances of survival within that blizzard would be minimal....so I humbly thank you for your help."
Turning towards Phae briefly before continuing, the hybrid noticed a lack of color in Phae's complexion, and he simply furrowed his eyebrows before turning to the newly-acquainted Saiyan, guiding his hand to his pant's belt rings. Grasping a tiny capsule, the hybrid unattached it from his pants, holding his index finger over the trigger. Keeping eye contact with Cornatto whilst doing so, he continued to speak as he unhitched his capsule from his belt rings.
"I'm sure my partner here would be thanking you as well, but she's somewhat...er...disabled, currently. I'll be giving her some sustenance momentarily, but for now....what might be your name, sir?"
Tossing the capsule over to Phae, the trigger was already clicked down upon. A small splash of salt water materialized into existence, falling upon Phae like a bursting water balloon. As the salt water fell onto Phae, the hybrid brought his Ki to his hand, forming a simple sphere of Ki. It shone brightly within the cavern, as cloaked in darkness it was; and Celmaru blatantly tossed it behind him, allowing to land behind Phae without exploding. It rolled along the floor quietly, emanating both light and warmth. The salt water, now becoming absorbed by her seaweed body, picked up the orb of Ki tenderly, making sure not to force it to erupt. Looking up towards the Saiyan, she kept neutral expression as she spoke.
"I apologize for being incapacitated for such a time, but it is nice to meet you."
The seaweed woman held her husband's sphere of pure white Ki in her small hands, enjoying its natural warmth. The blizzard raged on beyond the confines of the cavernous shelter, and it wouldn't end until the woman in the group left the mountain; Phae.

The Saiyan was really annoyed by the snow, which kept accumulating without a break. He was getting used to such environments but there was only so much he could take, and as he glanced over his shoulder, he could tell the two had the same issue. But he couldn’t really blame them, it was difficult to keep up that pace against a snowstorm. “Eh, I really miss the wastelands at this point..” - he thought to himself. Still, he couldn’t explain himself why of such sudden snowstorm even if he had heard something related to the mountain but he couldn’t remember what it was about. “Hm.. nevermind. It isn’t probably anything important.” - he muttered.
He narrowed his eyes slightly as he gazed off in the distance, taking note of an unusual gap in the mountain. “Is that..” - he muttered, speeding up the pace.
The Saiyan had just entered the cavern and he could feel it; much more comfortable than staying out in the snowstorm. He smiled warmly as he let out a sharp exhale, stretching himself for a brief moment.
He turned to face the Hybrid and the seaweed woman, nodding shortly after. “It’s fine, you would have probably done the same I guess.” - he told him, looking at him right in the eyes before he glanced between him and Phae.
He blinked slowly, quite unsure of what the Hybrid had just done with that capsule. He had never seen anyone doing such a thing before and couldn’t even understand why that woman needed what looked like mere water.
“It’s fine I suppose.. Uh, whatever you are. I am Cornatto and it’s nice to meet you two as well.” - he paused his speech there, staring at Celmaru blankly. He could tell there was something familiar in him and he was finally capable to see- or rather to feel it; his aura.
It felt like Raisu Hanamura, one of the several Saiyan hybrids on Earth, he could feel the spirit of a Saiyan within him but he couldn’t tell precisely, it was quite difficult with Hybrids.
“Uhm.. Don’t you happen to have Saiyan blood in your veins?” - he asked curiously.

"Er...excuse me, I forgot to introduce myself....my name is Celmaru Waterfield. This one behind me is-"
"Phae Waterfield, once again, a pleasure to meet you, Cornatto."
Both of them gave Cornatto a proper introduction, despite their current circumstances. Phae, who still held the Ki sphere, absorbed the remainder of the salt water that she was doused with, and completely recovered her strength. She smiled happily as she rested her tiny nose upon the bright orb of energy, taking in its natural heat as if her life depended on it. Meanwhile, her husband spoke with the Saiyan, being questioned if he had Saiyan blood. An uncomfortable look permeated throughout the hybrid's facial expression as he answered, preparing for the worst.
"Er....yes, I do have Saiyan biology within my genetic structure....however, I often act more akin to a Human than a Saiyan."
A cold chill struck the hybrid, covering him in goosebumps. He truly regretted his decision to not obtain a jacket before traversing this terrain. Stroking his arms absentmindedly to warm himself, the hybrid surveyed the cavern that sheltered them from the storm. Rocky walls surrounded them, and dark, penetrating spikes of stone poked at the frosted atmosphere. Shifting his gaze back towards Cornatto, the hybrid cleared his throat, shifting the subject of himself over to that of the Saiyan before him.
"So, I'm guessing you're a Saiyan? The warrior variety, I'm sure."
"Might we kindly ask what you were doing out here, Cornatto?"
"Er....yes, I'd like to know that myself."
The hybrid faced the Saiyan, his eyes meeting Cornatto's. As Celmaru did so, he formed more Ki blasts within his palms, tossing a few into the air and holding them in place. The concentration was almost overwhelming, forcing the hybrid to sprout a vein upon his left temple due to the mental strain, however it illuminated the cavern, making it seem more homely for the time being. Celmaru hoped that this was sufficient for now, as the strain would leave him incapacitated if he created any more.

The Saiyan offered a polite nod in response to the two’s introductions, they were quite the curious couple but that’s what made each unique at least; Cornatto chuckled at the mere thought. “The pleasure is mine, Celmaru and Phae. I admit I didn’t really expect to meet anyone around here but it’s good to know I wasn’t the only one about to get stuck in the snowstorm.” - he said, smirking subtly. He could tell the two were more than earthlings, even if it was quite obvious with Phae; he could sense their energies and both were above the average.
Cornatto tilted his head slightly to the Hybrid’s response, his answer was probably one of the most complex he had ever heard, he blinked slowly and just decided to ignore the rest but his first word, which was: yes.
“..I see. You’re not the first Hybrid I meet who is more like an Earthling to be honest but I guess that’s fine.. And yes, I am a Saiyan. I have no idea of what you mean by this warrior variety though.. all Saiyans are warriors.” - he said.
He looked at Phae for a brief moment, nodding shortly after. “Of course. I was just about to finish my daily training routine and there was this huge snowstorm all of a sudden.. It’s quite weird, huh?” - he said.

Celmaru was surprised how well-mannered this Saiyan was acting. It almost completely baffled him, he didn't even ask for a fight yet, or even question the hybrid true power yet. Mentally dismissing such thoughts, Celmaru folded his arms across his chest, keeping his thoughts at bay whilst conversing with the Saiyan. However the hybrid's brows perked up once he heard Cornatto wondering aloud about the varieties of Saiyans. Celmaru's interest was piqued, and he compliantly dispensed knowledge for Cornatto, telling him about the two common varieties of Saiyans. The hybrid could thank his Father for this knowledge.
"Well, you surely know plenty of the warrior variety and their classes.....however there is a certain type of Saiyan that doesn't fight; the meat distributors. They aren't known for their fighting prowess, and slice and distribute meat for the Saiyan who do fight and conquer worlds. Its not very surprising, considering that many Saiyans wouldn't know much about preparing a meal, and they were fortunate enough to establish such a system; allowing those of their race that can't fight to be able to support their planet in some way."
A spark of interest lit up within the hybrid's eyes, shedding light upon a sliver of his true nature. The expression upon Celmaru's face must have been a strange one; a bright look of excited interest in his eyes, with a vein protruding from his left temple, along with a somewhat neutral expression via his mouth and brows. Despite this, the hybrid continued dispensing information for Cornatto.
"The meat distributors are often, unfortunately, considered lower than the low-class Saiyan warriors, and, once again, are to only distribute meat and cut if up for consumption. Its possible that they use smaller, more precise tools for such cutting activities....however they just blatantly use cleavers for cutting up massive drumsticks of raw meat. I personally would like to see such workers doing their assigned occupation...however I doubt I'll be on Planet Vegeta anytime soon."
Meanwhile, Phae had stood up, still grasping her husband's ki sphere, and silently began floating behind him. She had reached her husband's height as she did so, standing in midair just behind Celmaru. Phae had took it upon herself to reply to the Saiyan's other remark from earlier, and spoke in a neutral tone.
"Well, we're glad you're safe...and hopefully warmer than before, Cornatto. This snowstorm, however, is rather unnatural....I wonder what caused it..."
She turned to face the outside of the cavern, watching the snow pile up in the wilderness. The snow didn't seem to be letting up at all, and would only continue if the source of the problem persisted. Subtly shaking her head, Phae turned towards both Cornatto and her husband, wrapping her arms around the latter's neck like she usually did. The orb of Ki hung by her feminine hands, lightly pressing against the hybrid's chest. It took a decent amount of his concentration to not allow it to explode. The vein upon his temple twitched a tiny bit as the hybrid spoke in a somewhat strained voice.
"Well, I hope we could have something to do whilst we wait this out....or possibly find a way to stop such an unnatural phenomenon. Either way I'd be alright with doing either....as long as we aren't forever trapped in this cavernous shelter."
Both Celmaru and Phae began to subconsciously warm each other up, using their bodily heat to provide a certain degree of warmth. Cornatto seemed to be more familiar with this terrain, so the two would allow the Saiyan to provide some sort of plan of action to either escape or secure their survival in this blizzard.

The Saiyan listened to the Hybrid in mild interest, he could tell Celmaru was definitely well quite aware of Saiyans’ hierarchy even Cornatto didn’t remember of the ‘meat distributors’ mostly because he had never considered them. He had never been on Planet Vegeta and there were no such Saiyans on Earth even if in the end Cornatto was a technically a low-class warrior. Which was quite hilarious considering how strong he was compared to the average Saiyans on Vegeta.
“Heh, I hope so for you. I’m not even sure how badly they’d take the presence of a.. so different Saiyan Hybrid just like yourself. And to be honest, I doubt I’d be welcome myself and I’m a pureblood.. so, go figure.” - he said, letting out a faint chuckle.
He looked at Phae for a brief moment and nodded in agreement, it was just a cavern but it was better than just standing out there in the middle of a snowstorm. “Aye, at least we’re not in danger.. yet.” - he told her, following her gaze to face the outside of the cavern. He narrowed his eyes and began tapping his foot on the ground, he could remember he had heard something about these snowstorms but he didn’t remember exactly what caused them. “There was.. some kind of legend..” - he said, almost to himself.
Last time, making his way off the mountains he had heard something about a legend from a few men in a nearby village, he had it on the tip of his tongue but he couldn’t come up with the word.
He looked at the two once more before fixating his gaze at the seaweed woman. He widened his eyes shortly after as he took a closer look at her details, he couldn’t take guesses but she didn’t really look like a man. “Uhm.. Phae, you’re a woman.. right? Not a human one but you are, right?” - he asked.
“Perhaps I mentioned it earlier but I've been here before for.. reasons and a few villagers were talking about something; some kind of legend. It’s about women, and it says their presence here tends to cause huge snowstorms. You two were way back on the mountain compared to me.. and the weather was good a hour ago or so. I suppose it might be more than just a legend then..” - he said, folding his arms.

"W-Well, I'd probably be chased off the planet if I were to be found on Vegeta, considering that most Saiyans, as far as I can tell, aren't very partial to hybrids..."
The hybrid looked away sheepishly, still aware that Cornatto himself was a Saiyan, however he did mention most of the warrior race not being very fond of his own kind, not all of them. Suddenly, a Ki Blast erupted from its floating position, shaking the cavernous environment slightly as it ruptured. The hybrid flinched, staring back into the partially illuminated cavern, another blast exploding along with the first.
'....There goes my focus.'
Cornatto had begun to tap the stone flooring beneath them with his foot, a soft echo emanating throughout the cavernous shelter. Several Ki Blasts ruptured within that time, and overshadowed the Saiyan's mumbling as they did so. Phae pressed against the hybrid, burying her facial features within his nape. The seaweed woman lost her grasp upon her husband's Ki sphere, the one that she held personally.
"Ah!"
"Wha-?"
The blast exploded upon the hybrid's feet, stinging the hybrid's feet directly through his own shoes. Celmaru inhaled sharply via the pain, and stood stiffly as he toughed his way through the stinging pain within this sensitive toes. Meanwhile, the Saiyan began speaking of a legend that the locals spoke of; that of which concerning the mountain they rested upon. However, Phae had answered Cornatto's questions of her gender beforehand, replying bluntly.
"Yes, Cornatto, I am a woman. I identify and am preferably a woman."
The Saiyan spoke of the mountain's curse, or rather its condition; any woman that comes within a certain distance of the mountain will cause a severe snowstorm; a blizzard. The hybrid couldn't believe what he was hearing; woman cause blizzards on a specific mountain? The very thought was near-blasphemous.
"Women cause blizzards? That's an odd legend, I must admit, Cornatto. I suppose I should just leave Phae at the home that I don't own?"
"Celmaru, we could simply not train upon this mountain...there are many other places on Earth we may visit."
"Its just...near-impossible to comprehend in a sense, Phae. Think about it; your gender creates a sever blizzard on a specific place on the planet? Its....its-"
"Strange and normally impossible, yes, I will admit that, however we've seen much worse."
Celmaru shifted his gaze towards his wife, a skeptical expression upon his facial expression fading.
".....Yes, that true."
"A snowstorm won't be the worst event we'll come across; we'll simply leave and move on."
"...Easier said than done. I doubt I can fly in this weather, and you can barely stay moisturized in such cold."
"Might we trudge through it like we did so briefly before?"
The hybrid shifted his gaze towards Cornatto, both his ire and his curiosity piqued upon this discovery; however he would still like another opinion before moving on with any sort of plan of either escape or survival.
"Well, Cornatto, sir.....what do you think?"
@orangotto, I apologize for the wait!

The Saiyan nodded shortly after, narrowing his eyes as he looked out in the distance. “I doubt that all of this is just a coincidence at this point, the legend might actually be true if you think about it..” - he said, folding his arms on his chest as he lowered his head. At that point it was clear the only way to get out of that snowstorm was to leave the mountain but it would not be easy with such a weather but the Saiyan could probably think of something. “I admit I couldn’t tell if Phae was a woman or not, so I didn’t really think of that earlier but that aside..” - he paused for a brief moment, taking a deep breath.
“It’s an odd legend indeed but we better leave this cave right now, else I fear this might turn out worse than it is already.” - he said, glancing over his shoulder.
He looked at them with a serious expression, the Saiyan was trying to come up with a plan. He could tell flying away would not be easy in such a situation but it didn’t take him long to think of something else.
He turned to face the other two, offering both a smirk. “Very well then, let’s get out of here. Celmaru, make sure to hold Phae tightly.. we’ll use our Ki as propulsors to enhance our speed and make sure we get out of this. It’ll consume a lot of our energy but better than nothing.” - he told him.
