The new warrior caste leader sat by the edge of the cliff, Samuka besides. ”Samuka. My father has already told me leader must be the wisest and strongest. You are my wisdom, I understand, but I need to learn. There is so much I do not know. Can you teach me?” Samuka looked at him, and he stood up.
”I see I have chosen well. I gave you a choice to simply go by your power, let me have wisdom instead of you. Yet you still seek knowledge. You are smart to do so. One day I will be gone, you know this. So I must give you as much as I can. Now, I feel a certain topic is needed to be discussed. The Mazoku.” Paengi’s eyes almost went wide, and he felt a little. Mazoku were the monsters under your bed, ancient legends. He know he had seen the fin headed Namekian. Everyone knew what Mazoku were. Yet Paengi could not accept it. Aliens were bad, the red figure in the sky, the powerful alien that removed his arm. But Namekians? Namekians were his people, they were all good. Yet there was one, aliens by his side, that slaughtered his own race. Mazoku. He hadn’t thought about that namekian. He couldn’t. How could he wrap his mind around that fact? Paengi stood up suddenly, rage filling him.
”No- you’re going to tell me that’s just a story right? Demons like that don’t exist. They were meant to scare children! That- namekian wasn’t a namekian. He was, he, he was some sort of alien that looked like us!” he said desperately, not able to accept that namekians could be the enemy too. Samuka stared at him, before he talked again.
”Paengi. I know you find it hard to accept. But you have to! There are more enemies than just aliens! You have to be ready, as leader, for anything. And Mazoku aren’t the only ones…” he finished quietly. Paengi stared back, taken by surprise. What was this nonsense. He almost wanted to laugh at what Samuka saying. He couldn’t be serious, right? This was all a joke. Even if there were evil namekians, they were all Mazoku. ”Listen to me! It is possible Paengi. Warrior caste, dragon caste. They have fallen astray before. However, it is not common. But all Mazoku, every single one in our records, have been horrible.”
Paengi turned away, terrified. His race- they were not pure. But no, it was almost only the Mazoku. His face turned into a snarl as he made his mind. ”Mazoku are not namekians- they are nothing more than alien scum! They deserve the same treatment as aliens!” Samuka frowned, not quite happy with the result, but glad he had accepted it.
”In a way, I suppose you are true. They are not quite true Namekians- some are not even born by an egg. You remember the feeling you experienced Multiform? Many have described what happens as similar. A namekian’s sins, they may grow stronger. To purge this, Namekians release them. However, they release it in the form of a Mazoku.” Paengi froze. A single drop of sweat rolled down his spine, as he remembered that night. Suddenly his limbs grew weak, and he collapsed. ”Paengi!” Samuka shouted as he reached for him, just barely stopping him from hitting the ground. ”Paengi, what’s wrong?” he asked puzzled and worried, not sure what was going.
He was on the lake, and it felt like a shadow had stepped from him. He turned towards it, and saw a dark shape. A Mazoku was standing behind him. Demonic red eyes were in it’s skull, and lightning seemed to ripple around it’s limbs. ”I am you Paengi. Your very sins. Now you shall burn the whole world down,” a horrifying voice whispered to him.
”No!” Paengi shouted desperately. ”This never happened! No! All that happened was I felt better, more pure!”
”That is only because you let me out, foolish warrior. Now your sins are a weapon to be used against the planet you love!”[/i]
The silver warrior’s eyes shot open, and Samuka almost dropped him in surprise. Paengi raised himself, not needing support from the other Namekian now. ”Samuka. I- I felt that feeling before. And it felt like something left me.” Samuka stared, his mouth agape. He took a step back, and looked like he was going to faint too.
”Paengi. I fear- I fear there is another half of you somewhere. I- we need to take care of this. With your power, a Mazoku of you could be very powerful, and have just as much potential as you. However- there is something very dangerous about this. If one of you dies- you both die.”
Paengi and Samuka shot across the sky, a torn up area of land in the distance. The scar. ”The scar is the mazoku hiding place. I do not know why they reside their. Perhaps it is the isolation, or the fear it strikes in namekians hearts. Maybe they no one wants to go there besides them, and maybe to them, it is beautiful. Whatever the case, your evil half will be there. You must be prepared. They could easily be just as strong as you, may be stronger.” Paengi nodded, staring at the scar as they now arrived on the outskirts of the region. He had to stop whatever evil he had unleashed on this land.
