So, given the recent increase in activity, I thought it should be officially known that we are looking for more people willing to help out as Staff  As part of the democratic setup we run under, each Staff member is voted in rather than being placed straight in the role. You'll also start as a moderator while you learn the ropes, and will be assigned a specific section to manage. Some relevant snippets from around the place: In order to be put to vote, we have a test in place. Bumping this back to the top as we once again find ourselves short staffed. Our current system is set out so different staff manage specific areas(eg. I am on character apps), reducing workload and making it easier to know what to do and to contribute. However a number of people who were existing admin, or volunteered when this came up last time, have evaporated for various reasons, so we need to make up the numbers - many hands makes light work, but we need those hands in the first place for it to be true . So time to elect if you're up to it, including existing people in the volunteer rank as I'll be revoking that title in a clean-up sweep soon. |

If there really is the desperate need, I will volunteer, or in this case I suppose elect myself. I don't reallly know enough about the newer users, sadly, to really make a judgement yet. However, I'd understand if, due to my two past absenses already, that I'm not seen as dependable or suited for the responsibility. However, if I just focus on the one character, I might be able to do better with the workload. Some of the others seem to have multiple characters to juggle. I currently don't really have a day job either, so I should have plenty of time, also.
As for existing staff, I haven't really had any probelms with you Bao, or Peiter, and Oni. Plus, with what I've seen of Hyoza, they seem to be doing a good job. So I'd be up for any of them/you staying in the current positions if willing and able.

And Reiko, I believe in some of the new people as I've been roleplaying with them for quiet some time myself, but it's nice to have ya back here finally. Who knows maybe we'll roleplay again, though this time I'm a completely different character, and you probably don't recognize the name I'm using currently. (Zilo) So, welcome back and feel free to join us, me and Ninjin are currently on Volunteer work, so if you feel as if you wish to join us, start by getting some advertisment's out like Bao has been having people do, such as here.[P.s.: Just helping out Bao, and those that are interested in filling things out :3] |

I'm not so good at grading/judging things. However, if I could help with the more solid aspects like updating people's PL/Zeni/inventory and keeping them current, I'll put myself forward. :3

@ Volunteers - Awesome to see support, those of you who are under the 'volunteers' group from last time have already been given their task and I have been waiting eagerly for you to go ahead and complete it *hint hint* The rest of you I'll likely have to organise come next weekend, we can likely set people up with small scope jobs that should hopefully be fairly easy but helpful. What we *really* need are people to act as grading mods, cause that's really the only daily workload (asides from character apps which I handle now alongside the other general stuff like site patch) that gets generated, so more people we get on that the less work individuals have to do. @ Pieter - that was by design, since beginner admin are set as moderators, their grading and such needs to be verified as correct and balanced. I believe you sent me a pm on the subject too which I've responded to The intent is that once they are familiar they should have the prerequisites met to move up to the next rung where they would have access to edit the profiles themselves, like we do. @ Oguma - indeed, I know you've been working very hard and placed in a rather unfair situation as more and more grading work has slid on you instead of the corresponding moderators. I'm also fully aware that I am not very available for that either, so the hope is to get the numbers back in, proper mods, and get the system working like it should be. |

I would like to volunteer to be trained to handle BPs specifically, no other responsibility or focus area. I don't really want a staff position, as I won't deal with disciplinary stuff or anything but helping a newbie get through the door. If interested please PM me.
I can definitely stay within the two day turnaround that Bao would like for these to have.
