Sunset had cast over Fukurou Forest. It had been a few hours since Kelvin had crashed onto Planet Earth, and things so far were very quiet. There was no noise in the forest besides the sound of his three-toed feet planting against the muddy ground. Some humans had tried to attack the little Arcosian on a few occasions, but the ten year old had managed to flee every time. Unlike those officers, most of the ones he recently encountered had sharp swords or tiny swords that they could throw. There was the occasional ruined building as well inside the woods. But his feet were killing him now! The soles of his feet were covered in dirt from his long trek. But flying would draw more attention to himself, so the child decided to suck it up. His eyelids drooped as he walked through the forest, meandering around the tall trees that populated the area.
Kelvin wasn't used to being alone. He had his brother with him for as long as he could remember. Every step in the forest felt like he had stepped on a barb. It was not a pleasant feeling to say the very least. He kicked a small rock on the ground, knocking it into a nearby pond in his boredom. He was on Earth now, away from the rest of those mean Arcosians. But... what now? The humans would not be ecstatic if he came into one of their villages, judging to how they reacted at the mere sight of him. Why were they so scared and angry at him? He clutched onto his scarf as he picked up his pace in the woods, despite having no real destination.
Before he could get any deeper into thought, the child's head snapped up as his pupils contracted. The sound of footsteps echoed through his ears, instantly putting Kelvin on high alert. Oh no. He couldn't get into another chase now! He was already tired enough. Frantically looking around, the Arcosian eventually darted into a hole in the bottom of a tree, just barely squeezing through the small gap. The child curled his tail around himself, poking his head out a little, but the shadows inside the tree and his jet black skin provided decant cover, his bright green eyes being the one contrast. Either way, he could hear someone or something out there. It could be one of those harmless animals in the forest, but it could always be someone that wanted to hurt him. The child's breathing was shallow as he backed up against the bark of the tree, trembling a little. Everything on Earth seemed to be out to get him so far, had he made a mistake coming here? Was it something he did that made everyone want to attack him? Needless to say, the child's thoughts and worries did not help lessen his fear. All he knew was that someone was nearby, but he was not going to take any more chances now.
