Name: Veiss

History About Veiss: "Wealth is not just some measure of accumulation, it's status. And when your parents have all but paved the way for one's future, it's a matter of working smarter--not harder. You see, by profession, my parents? Wonderful stock-traders. Very adept at playing the market. You know, riding out the lows, knowing when shares reached their peak selling point, being able to predict a prospective company's fate when it first started. Really, I'm surprised that they were silly enough to venture back to Arcose, prattling on about saving our 'home'. Their home, anyways. I personally don't care, I love the amenities provided by our modest estate in Friezaton. Loved. But then the funds I was able to access, they withered. So now I have to find a place to linger until I find a way to get my hands on the family fortune before those bureaucratic fools decide to appropriate it for those miserable refugees. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need a nap. All of this talking and reminiscing has bored me. But before you go, be a darling and pass me that bottle?"
Veiss isn't the finest example of a proud, rigid, and ambitious couple's offspring. That mold belied in his elder sister, Vaug, who nobly gave her life defending fleeing refugees when their homeworld was besieged. Really, the fact that Veiss is still alive is only on the sheer virtue of his apathetic demeanor and heightened sense of self-status. Why fight when others kill and die for you? Or work when you can pay someone to do it to save effort? If there was a problem and throwing money at the problem made it go away, rest-assured, it's likely on the forefront of Veiss' thought process. Curious, however, is that while he does not frequently fight--or does not make it known that he does--Veiss has shown a considerable degree of talent in his ability to fight. Markedly is using only the necessary amount of force to pacify or subdue someone, in doing so, it often appears that he's evenly matched with his foes when it comes to trading blows with only a slight edge in his favor. In reality, Veiss often outclassed most of his opponents in most, if not all aspects. It's only when faced with a truly powerful opponent that he concedes before the battle can begin, sabotaging what could possibly a learning experience by the fact that he might have to exert a great deal of effort to overcome his foe. It's inconsequential to him, more often than not, for Veiss cares not what others think of him. It only matters how he elevates himself upon some narcissistic pedestal, effortlessly making excuses for himself without batting an eye, declining actual challenges through evasive speaking, and is keen to inflate someone else's ego if it'll satisfy them and remove them from his presence.
