Of Gods and Demons (Maeve)

Aidan grinned darkly as he held his hand out. Sparks of chaotic energy danced in his palm as he began to charge a bolt of ki into his palm. He laughed out loud, madness fully overtaking him as he mustered the remainder of his energy to add to the clash. "Fools...Both of you! It will be such a shame when the clan finds out that the human's god caused the death of little Maeve! I wonder if it will spark an open war with the mortal realm! How I would love to see the world you cherish burn!" He laughed out, his tone increasing a pitch as he held the bolt over his head. He intended to rupture the combining energies with an extra bolt of ki! He was going to kill them both!

"Imagine the Earth as you desperately cling to your last moments of lif-"


Cutting Aidan off was the familiar tone of the elder Rakshasa sister. The demonic Earl turned only to see the visage of the star-powered demoness coming at him with fist engulfed in such a vibrant glow that it looked more pink than crimson. She looked different. She changed. Her fiece roar revealed elongated fangs and canines growing in her maw, blade like claws were clenched into tight fists, her scales and even hair seemed to glow lightly giving her an otherworldly appearance. To top it all off her body was pushed to it's physical peak turning her already impressive physique into the sculpt created by the gods of destruction themselves.

Thanks to the star above: She had become a Makyan giant.

"BRIDGGGEETTT!" Aidan roared out but he had already expended too  much energy in his desperate last attack. 

She merely roared out as she slammed her fist into his chest. A choke escaped the huge dragon's lips as a small beam of light seemingly passed through him. A mere second later: the pinkish-red energy  that had been contained in Bridget's fiery fist exploded out with enough force to rocket the dragon Earl into the heart of the energy clash. He let out an agonized scream that echoed through the cave as the energy from all four attacks ripped into him from every angle. The energy ruptured with a rainbow explosion that completely incinerated the roof of the cave. A pillar of light of shifting hues shot high into the air as it carried the Earl's scream high into the sky.

Maeve watched the radiant display standing alongside Bing and tensed seeing the explosion slowly start to make it's way toward them. "B-Bing! We need to move!" She called out, feeling the ground as it cracked beneath their feet. There was no time to escape though, they could only brace themselves.

That was of course until, Bridget appeared in front of them with her arms outstretched.

"Bridget?"

The makayan giant let out a pained scream as she felt the aftershocks of the explosion rip into her, but she was a big enough shield to cover all of them.

The light would eventually fade to reveal Aidan's smoking, slumped over, form resting on his knees. He let out something akin to a mix of a wheeze and a whimper as he finally slipped into unconsciousness. His heavy body crashed against the ground with a booming thud that shook what was left of the cave.

"Serves him right... that b-bastard...." Bridget spoke, surprisingly still standing. Though, like Aidan, steam seemed to waft off of her form from the discharged energy and she had clearly lost her transformation. The way her arms hung heavily at her sides made it clear that she wasn't going to be standing for much longer.

From the looks of it, the fight was over.

Bridget pulled away from Bing before he could heal her. It wasn't due to mistrust, or aggression but for some reason she didn't want his help. She kept her gaze focused on Maeve the entire time and for a long while she didn't say anything. She merely stared. "Sheesh...Are all humans this dense or is it only your mate Maeve?" She finally said, letting out an annoyed sigh as she cocked her head to the side and rest her eyes. "It's going to be a pain having to refer to him as a Brother in law let alone a fellow clansman." Her eyes slowly opened and narrowed to the familiar feral silts that Maeve's often did whenever she focused on something intently or was upset and enraged.

"Maeve! Bing! Are you two alright?" Akemi called out as she rushed over to the two warriors. "When suggesting to bring you both here I never expected things to get this out of hand..." She paused letting out a relieved sigh to see most of the damage had been avoided by everyone (except Aidan.) "I'm just so relieved that it's over and you two aren't seriously hurt... I never would have thought Aidan would have the courage to attempt to murder even Maeve." She paused after a moment and perked her ears as she noticed the tense air between Maeve and her sister. Despite the battle being over Maeve still had her blade clutched tightly in her hand and hadn't once dropped her gaze from Bridget's.

"Bing... Akemi...You're too quick to assume that this over..." Maeve merely said as she took a shaky step towards her sister. "Bridget probably only stopped Aidan so she could remove the distraction..." Maeve lifted her blade up, looking to her elder sister. "Knowing my dear sister the main reason she protected me from the explosion was so I'd still be in fighting shape... She wants to continue."

Akemi's shocked expression turned into a knowing frown as she watched the two slowly step towards each other. She held a hand out placing it on Bing's chest as if to prevent him from interfering.

"...You know...I was hoping to fight you alone from the start. So, I wouldn't have this any other way..." Maeve simply said as she readied her stance.

"You still need to beat me if you wish to claim your title so I would hope you wouldn't give up now..." Bridget curtly responded as she returned to her stance. 

The wind howled between them as the Rakshasa sisters took a moment to scrap together their remaining energy in silence. 

...

Then they attacked. Maeve readied her blade and Bridget readied her fists as they closed the gap between them. 

                                "Chaotic Rebellion Star!"

                     "Blazing Storm!"                                                     

The clangs of steel echoed off the crumbling walls of the ruined cave as they met blows in a synchronized assault. Just as before, their movements practically mirrored each other. Each sister put all of their power into each savage blow. Each tried to overpower the other with everything they had till finally, a crimson spray of blood splashed on the ground beneath them.

"Nngh..."

Bridget stepped back. She pulled away from the searing pain Fateburn wrought when it found itself cleaved into into her collar. The sick sound of wet flesh squelched into the air as the blade was freed from her collar. The heavy splashes of blood soon followed as a thick, warm gush poured from her fresh wound. She found herself kneeling as she bowed her head and let out a shallow pant.

"...I submit and recognize your power...Countess..."

With that: Bridget would fall to her side and go limp, unconsciousness finally taking her.

"Bing..." Maeve gasped as she let her bloody cleaver slip from her fingers. "Please...Heal my stubborn...Bitch of a sister." She too, collapsed and lay beside her sister. The fatigue of the battle taking her as well.
