Laetus' distraction failed. And he so wanted that attack to hit the statue. At the Fish Mans request, Laetus made a rush for a nearby fire hydrant and quickly kicked the thing open. He would then hold his hands over the water to direct the flow above Marautis, letting it rain over the battlefield.

Marautis remained on the spot as Heln would close in on him for battle. The thrilling and brilliant moment that Drake had hoped for would not emerge this time. A moment in which the two warriors clash with a deafening roar as the pure might of their power would intertwine and tangle, each trying to constrict its former. This was not the moment as Marautis felt the wet and moist patter of water drops beginning to rain down on the battle field. This brought a smirk to his face, immediately. He felt the cool liquid begin to run down his body, this was short lived as the pores on his body would begin to open up and take in the water.
"Thankyou my young friend, we may have seized the upper hand here," Marautis would speak to Laetus, using their telepathic link.
Marautis traced another substantial power-level enter the scene. Around that of the young boys. He found himself quite preoccupied at the time, but hoped the new entity would join their fight against this rusty bucket of bolts. Marautis was no do-gooder or life saver. But he didn't like this android, and planned to crush him. Anyone that wanted to join the fight, was welcome. "See if our new friend cares to offer their assistance?" He once again communicated to Laetus via telepathy.
"Now as for you. If it's a fight you want, then I'm happy to oblige." Marautis sneered.
The water raining down being thirstily absorbed and drawn into Marautis' body. He was sure that Heln would be taken aback, and if not, amused at the least; this was something you didn't get to see every day. Marautis' body would begin to expand initially. He size and weight appearing to double. In what could only be described as a fat, jelly like mess, Marautis' body then began to convert the water into solid muscle mass. His body sculpting into a much more powerful and muscular form. His strength spiking four-fold. His transformation now complete, he remained on the spot and awaiting Heln's response.

[Okay so @shock3600 is going to be taken out of the thread temporarily until he is right to come back in. It will just be myself, Laetus and drannec now]
Marautis stood in amazement and delight at the new power coursing through his body. The android approaching on the other hand did not seem quite as astounded as he continued to charge in. Marautis was confident in his abilities to take him down. It didn't appear as if he had any particular battle tactic, surprising for an android. As Heln finally closed in on Marautis, the fish man would quickly lift his fist, hooking it around to connect with the jaw of the incoming android. it connected with a great force and send the body of Drake flying off to the side of the street. His body landed heavily on the ground, as Marautis imagined the such heavy metals in him would. The body of Heln lay slumped and motionless, face down. Was he knocked out? Short circuited perhaps? Either way Marautis doubted this would the end of him. He would remain down for a short while, although Marautis had a hunch he would rise again somehow. With that distraction out of the way he turned to the two remaining souls. "Hehehehe! Thanks for that one boy! I've never been this powerful before, you really did us a favour there!" Marautis cackled, almost manically. "Such raw power...I bet you two combined couldn't even take me! Hah, what an excellent idea! You two pansies...try me" Marautis challenged both the boy and the newcomer to fight. He didn't mean them much harm, but did fancy the idea of testing out his new abilities. This would be fun indeed.
[Salvaging this thread a bit, it should be drannec 's post now? ]

(Well this is a little awkward, I was waiting all this time for someone who wasn’t even planning on posting for a while and I didn’t know about it lol)
Drannec’s tail wrapped itself loosely around the streetlamp he was observing from. This had the beginnings of an interesting battle about to take place, but even if not it certainly was better than wandering around aimlessly and hoping for something interesting to show up. This shouldn’t disappoint him at least.
When the weakest person here, save for himself, rushed over and kicked open a two-foot tall red contraption in order to cause water to shoot into the air, the hybrid watched the geyser of water with concern and worry painting a slight frown on his face. If his hat got wet then so help him…
The sudden onrush of power immediately attracted his attention, making him forget about his wardrobe concerns for the moment in favor of watching the blue alien. He was transforming? But how? Have mortals discovered the way to unlock their hidden powers? The implications boggled the half demon’s mind, who thought the ability to become something stronger than they currently were only resided in his fellow demonkind. He looked a little closer at the being and noticed he seemed to be absorbing the water to become stronger. So that is why he said something about wanting to have a source of water nearby!
A drop of water splashed audibly onto his hat, forcibly reminding him of an even more pressing matter. Diverting his attention away from the now bulked up alien about to punch the other, and looked at the final member of the group still standing by the fire hydrant. “Hey, Turn that off! Do you know how long it takes for my clothing to dry off? And that’s not even going into how to properly clean it!” He called out, raising a gloved hand to point at the male.
He heard the stronger alien call out a challenge, but merely waved it off indifferently. “Just a minute, I have a problem here I need to take care of.”

Laetus backed off of the hydrant and sighed. "Can't I meet one person in the world who doesn't want to kill me?" He mumbled as he twirled his sword in hand. He then glared at the half-demon. "Are you serious?"

It seemed the two remaining beings in the whole of the square at this point were more concerned with hashing it out by talking, rather than purely letting their actions talk. This didn't worry Marautis in the slightest, he had all the time in the world. He'd happily takea few minutes or two to get to know them. He had held some respect for the young boy who had activated the hydrant for him moments ago, maybe he deserved to be heard out after all. This was also the first time Marautis was able to lay eyes fully on the demon that had emerged. Marautis wasn't quite sure of his race, but his power didn't seem too much of an initial threat. He appeared quite calm and relaxed in demeanor, Marautis liked that. Reminded him of himself somewhat. He admired those that valued their pride too much to even give a sniff of bearing emotion. That's how he had always been, and at times he had felt outcast for such.
He watched as the demon boy fiddled with his hat that had appeared to taken on water, much to the boys displeasure. “Just a minute, I have a problem here I need to take care of.”
"Hahah!" Take your time..I can wait." Marautis bellowed back. Then turning his gaze to the other boy who appeared to be mumbling under his breath.
"Can't I meet one person in the world who doesn't want to kill me?"
"Huh? Speak up boy! If you've got something to say, then by all means say it properly. I'm less inclined to want to kill you that way. Hehehe!" Marautis cackled. His ears had picked up the murmur of the boy. Of course he had no intention to kill the boy, but he found his sarcasm amusing. Though he didn't like to be judged so quickly. Marautis liked to think himself capable of quite a bit more than just killing.

Although it was impossible to discern from behind the impenetrable shades covering his yellow and black eyes, the hybrid’s eyes narrowed and seemed to sharpen -- the most obvious outward sign of his anger. There were few things that got under this half demon’s skin with relative ease. Insults on his impeccable appearance was perhaps the worst anyone could do to a half incubus, but thankfully he hasn’t faced anything like that yet. Below that would be intentional damage of his precious wardrobe, and below that is being forced to repeat himself. Even though he doesn’t flaunt the assumed title, he is a demon prince in his head and if he says something then people should listen to him!
The hand gesturing at the young warrior tightened into a fist with the pointer finger stretched out in the other’s direction. A ball of grey energy was summoned to float about an inch in front of the outstretched finger, the side facing Laetus forming three visible circular indents to make the appearance of a screaming ghostly face. “I don’t feel the need to explain myself to you, but make no mistake that I am deadly serious when it comes to protecting my clothing. Turn. It. Off.” Drannec deadpanned, his voice having a certain hard no-nonsense quality to it.
While he was entirely focused on the hybrid before him, the demon prince would have considered it lucky that the blue alien took his dismissal in good humor. It would be quite unwise of him to be making enemies heedlessly, especially of those much stronger than himself. Some might consider it spineless, but the less enemies you have the larger your chances of waking up tomorrow alive. Besides, isn’t friendship just another form of subservience?
(Lets see if I can do this right, first time describing a combat action haha) Drannec begins charging an attack! [N1] Ghoul Beam (3000 *.33 = 990*2= 1980)

Laetus sighed. "I said I wish everyone I met didn't wanna kill me, fish man! First robot boy, then you, now this tacky asshat?!" He said, gesturing at the demon charging his attack. He then waved his hand over his sword, charging a shining slash. "So if this guy has a problem.." He says as he presses his foot onto the water, sending all its pressure at the demon. This wasn't simply petty, he expected it to at least be enough of a distraction to weaken the focus on his attack. "At least let me handle one thing at a time!" ___________________________________________________________________________ [N1] Light Slash. 3500 x.33= 1155x2=2310

Combat had broken out at last. Marautis was surprisingly left out of the fray, that was unusual for him. Normally in the thick of it, the instigator or getting it handed to him, being the onlooker was a pleasant change for once. He watched as the much weaker warriors took to arms and began charging their attacks.
"Hehe boys, so quick to start fighting. We haven't even introduced ourselves yet, shall we be gentlemen about this? It's the polite thing to do, at least make an effort to introduce yourself to your foes, so they no who to address when they beg for your mercy, hehehe!" Marautis chortled, "Maybe I should start this off. We wouldn't want to get off on the wrong foot now would we? My name is Marautis, of Zoonamite descent, not that that would most likely mean anything to you. But at least we're on a first name basis."
Marautis then turned his head to the demon boy, eyeing him purposefully. "You? What's your name? Perhaps a demon?" he questioned, awaiting his response.
He didn't feel the need to jump right into battle. These two weaker powers however seemed very keen to start taking each other out rather mercilessly. They both seemed extremely short tempered and petty as well.
The water that had only momentarily ago come gushing out the hydrant and high into the air, had no been reduced to a small dribble. The flow of water had stopped, not before forming puddles that littered the city square. The authorities had reacted to the commotion but remained in the side streets up until this point, not even they dared to enter the scene. Perhaps they'd rather voice their concerns from a megaphone from the confines of their squadron cars and wagons. Perhaps they'd just watch on hindered by the thick tension that filled the air. One thing was for sure, it didn't seem like much good would come out of this heated stand off.

(Sorry for not being active for the past while, video games and youtube steal my hours before I’m even aware of it)
Drannec’s eyes widened as he seemed to freeze in place as he heard the human call him tacky. In the course of his three hundred year long life no one, absolutely no one dared insult him even in passing like this! His surrogate father dared not risk the abandonment of Drannec’s succubus mother, all of his brothers and sisters either adored him too much or didn’t want to incur their mutual mother’s ire, and even the various other kingdoms he was sent to didn’t want to risk open war. The proud demon’s mind whirled as his body trembled, fists clenched and jaw tight. Words could not express what he was feeling. Sure, he had been angry before, but this was on a level he never experienced. It was as if his very blood boiled, yet all he could do is stare at this man. A trained warrior or overly violent person would have instantly attacked, but he didn’t seem to have such instinct. Instead his rage roared within him without any obvious release.
He certainly heard the blue alien’s call for introductions, but it might as well have just been someone buzzing in his ears for the amount of consideration he could even give his words. Drannec was like a bull in a red room, unable to process anything other than the object of his ire. In most circumstances the hybrid might be most well mannered of the group here, but he was so far out of his element he couldn’t even think properly.
Then laetus directed the flow of water directly at Drannec. Over a century's worth of protective instinct and care for his clothing activated in an instant, and as soon as he saw the potential danger he leaped up and backwards out of the danger, the blast he was charging dissipating harmlessly. Thankfully, the flow of water coming out of the broken firefighter’s tool was quickly lessening and didn’t even make it halfway to where the hybrid was dodging away. However it did not stop his reflexive action, nor did it stop him slamming the back of his head full force into the pole he was leaning against a moment ago. The lightpost bent, but held for the most part, however Drannec fared much worse. His tight jaw slackened as the sudden impact jarred the sunglasses off his face and revealed his demonic eyes glazing over slightly.
Then he was falling, both literally and figuratively. His slack body started to descend face first to the ground as his consciousness began plunging into a suffocating pool of night. Each second seeming like an eternity in his mind as he fell, but then power rose up to meet him. This sheer power that he had never experienced before overwhelmed his senses, swallowing him up in a bundle of power and rage. Truely, he was unconscious yet his body started to move on its own regardless.
Just before he would have faceplanted on the pavement, Drannec’s purple aura exploded around him and his hands and feet shot under him and he landed powerfully on all fours. His glasses clattered to the ground next to him, but he paid it no heed. The hybrid’s head slowly raised itself until he was staring directly at Laetus. A beastal growl sounded deep in his throat as his macelike tail flexed behind him. Under his leather pants his legs bulged before he rocketed forward, the pavement cracking under his explosive force. The intense movement caused his hat to tear itself off his head, letting his long hair whip around freely and reveal his petite pair of red horns ontop of his head. He shot across the distance with his fist ready to slam into his target’s chest. There was no real tact or trick here, but his current power and ferocity could overwhelm the young man if he wasn’t stopped. Should he hit then he would follow up with a quick twirl that would send his tail slamming into Laetus’s side with equal force as the punch, however with the city police and authority figures gathering around the scene it wouldn't be a good idea for the three of them for this fight to get too intense.

Laetus watched the demons panic attack with a mild amount of pride. He thought he had actually ended this without a fight. He almost let his sword lose charge, but then Drannec's energy burst. He defused the bomb but set off a nuke in the process. "See where you get me, brain?!" He yelled as the raging demon rushed at him. He held his sword up to defend against the first punch, but that meant nothing when the beasts tail struck him. Laetus was launched hard into a nearby building, making an impact crater in the wall, coughing up a bit of blood as he hit. He was held there, suspended in his own imprint with an expression of shock on his face. After a moment to process the situation, Laetus wiped the blood from his lip and looked at it on his hand. He soon began laughing. "Wow man! All this over your lame outfit? Can you believe this, Fish Man?" He asked between laughter as he pried himself off the wall. He stumbled as he touched ground, gripping his worn and chipped sword with a shaking hand. "Is this fear or..." He mumbled before trying to shake it off.

Marautis watched the the demonic boy begin to tumble down towards the Earth. He took a large gasp of air in, ready to almost erupt in chortled laughter. Alas he was left waiting and in steady amusement as the boy rose back up with a powerful blast and landed ever so intently on all fours. Marautis' brow lifted, "Mhm, not bad,"
The demon then blasted off of the ground into full pursuit of Laetus. With his ever so precious hat sent flying into the air, Marautis watched it float back slowly to Earth, gracefully. As the demon began to engage in combat with the other boy, Marautis found himself a bit left out of the action. Though he didn't mind it. The demon boy was clearly enraged. Marautis found himself grateful he wasn't on the receiving end of that attack. He then moved off the spot and steadily mosied over to the fallen hat. Seeing the two other members locked in the brawl as they were, Marautis bent down and gently picked up the hat, balancing it carefully on his outstretched index finger.
He turned his head and gestured to the policemen that sat in the outer areas of the square on stand-by. With their guns raised and ready to shoot, they all shared the same look of fear and amazement as they witnessed the extraordinary physical feats before them. "Hey fellas, think he'll miss this?" Marautis leered waving the hat to the policemen in reference to Drannec. A few tubby fat policemen would wag their fingers to their peers, and crack nervous grins. Even a couple of stifled giggles erupted but none dare to publicly display their amusement in Marautis' antics to proudly. They were trying to look professional and in control. They clearly were not.
Marautis then lost interest in the police squads admiration and turned his attention back to the demon boy. He held the hat resting on his finger high into the air to show he had claimed it. "Hey demon boy, you dropped your hat! It's a bit dirty...." He laughed, letting it slip off the end of his finger onto the ground and allowing one of his big feet to stamp down onto it. This pressed the hat forcefully onto the dirty pavement below, and left a slight foot imprint on the top side of it. "Let me rephrase that, it's a lot dirty,"
Two in particularly rotund policemen, who sat at the back of the mob of policemen, leaning rather languidly against the squadron car, had to make a determined effort to hide their laughter. The first of the fat men turned to his companion, "Hehe, gee Harris, this looks like it's about to get interesting!". The blubbery hands of the man resting on his belly as it jiggled rigorously with glee. "You bet Kingsly, I think this fish guy's about to get it!" the second policeman replied. The two of them against bursting into a fit of silly giggles.

(Well this is slightly embarrassing. I had just apologized in my last post for an unexplained absence, so I have to double apologize now haha. Ended up burying myself in an mmo for the past good while, and only now came out of the binge due to being reminded why I left said game a long time ago. But I'm back now, and don't plan on going anywhere for a good while. Marautis Laetus , If either of you are willing to continue this thread or want to stop considering the absence just let me know.) Despite his currently shattered cool and beastal feroricity, Drannec landed softly on the ground after his swift combination. His sharp yellow and black eyes traced the soaring boy easily as Laetus slammed into a nearby building. When the male pried himself from he man-sized crater his body had made, the demon’s lips pulled back, revealing distinct beastal fangs, and a growl sounded from his throat as he started to pace his way towards the hybrid. His aura was still spiking around him uncontrollably as his tail was raised up behind him like a menacing snake ready to lash out at a moment’s notice. Then the words of the blue alien pierced him. Everything froze, even his aura died out, as he learned that his precious hat has been possessed. “No…” He whispered hoarsely, eyed wide in genuine horror as his head slowly turned to watch the alien, or more specifically his hat as it fell to the ground. The hybrid’s world condensed to single piece of clothing for the brief second it fell to the ground. He felt powerless despite this unprecedented transformation he’s in. All he could do is watch, barely even breathing, as Marautis then stomped on it and completely flattened the hat; completing the action with a well placed taunt. The reaction was near instantaneous. Drannec’s aura exploded around him, even more violent and uncontrollable than before, making his jacket and hair whip around frantically. A powerful roar boiled out of his lungs and it seemed as if his eyes became bloodshot red, completely losing their focus. He charged at the blue alien, the roar of his continuing on for an uncanny long time. He made it about three fourths of the way to the blue alien before the roar dwindled off and he started to collapse. Ultimately it seems his untrained surge of energy proved too much for him and he burned out, falling flat on his chest with a blank look on his face.
