"That was certainly unexpected. Are you alright, kid?" Despite being genuinely concerned, the demon couldn't help but nod in bemusement, as he was only slightly surprised by the Saiyan's outburst against the poor, innocent rock. That thing had a wife and family. What an unfortunate, and completely unnecessary death. That was just gratuitously violent. May rock, son of rock, rest in pieces. Peace, I mean. It's what I meant to say. Not too long ago, the demon would probably have done the same. Such was the nature of young folk, it seemed.
"Hey, I have a proposition for ya." The cyclops called out excitedly, hoping to cheer up the lad. "I have a- er- a friend, who can help train you. You two could spar, take your training to the next level." He chuckled hesitantly, but held out his hand to his side. "If you'd like, he'll be here in- in a second."

That rock had it coming, if he cared about his family he wouldn't have just been standing there taunting me! Coming down from his rage, Edo listened to what this man had to say. His tone certainly let onto the fact he was trying to cheer up the teenager, and it worked, not only would a sparring partner help purge the remaining anger, but also give him the chance to get some real training. "Alright, that sounds good. Who is this friend of yours?" His anger started to bleed into excitement, for now being a concoction of both emotions, exciting being the dominant feeling. It made sense, a man in a condition like this must have some strong friends to keep him safe.

"It's hard to explain, but uh..." The man trails off, his round head bobbing back and forth underneath the hood, as he attempted to think of an answer that would make sense. But the demon, being who he was, quickly realizes that no explanation will satisfy anyone's curiosity. "... H-he's an old friend of mine. Don't sweat the deets. He'll be here shortly." The hooded figure sighs in defeat, before raising his singular arm up weakly. Within a matter of seconds, a cold gust of wind surrounded the demon, as a burst of ki began ringing through the air around him. The energy, as cold and twisted as it must've felt, was oddly inviting. But as quickly as it came, the power left the vicinity, leaving behind a small, childish being in its wake. The creature was leagues more powerful than the figure who summoned it. And it is also dressed like a party clown, because... Because of course it is.
"Sir Jerry, it's been awhile." The clown stretches, looking bored out of its mind. "To what do I owe the pleasure?" It asks, its high-pitched voice may have sounded cute, but something about its tone was just unnatural. Par for the course, at this point. "And who, pray tell, is this? A new friend of yours? Or have we finally found a new employer?" It asks once more, though this time much more playfully, as it points teasingly at the Saiyan's direction.
"Good to see you too, Poltergeist." The demon, who is apparently named 'Jerry', nods back, smiling warmly. "This young man would like to train with you. It'll all be in good fun, of course." He continues, as to try to reassure the lad. "And uh, I did fail to ask that, didn't I? Hey kid, you got a name?" The man asks, looking back up at the Saiyan.

This man is full of surprises, not only can he summon clowns, which upon closer inspection was beyond the teens abilities, but even stranger, was that such an odd looking person had the simple name of Jerry. Well they say you can't judge a book by it's cover. He then realized he failed to introduce himself in the time they've been talking. "Ah, my name is Edoma, Edo works fine though. And you are... Jerry?" hesitating at the name, still trying to wrap his head around the situation. Still out of politeness, and despite knowing what his hand looked like. Edo offered his hand to Jerry.

"You sound surprised." The creature chuckles cheerily, as he extends his withered hand forward. As he meets the lad's hand, the man suddenly seems uncomfortable, awkwardly tilting his head to the side, if only for the few moments that he has to come into contact with the boy. Despite his appearance, the demon's hand doesn't feel nearly as gross and fleshy as one might think. Instead, its texture is less like aged, rotten flesh, and more like tough, heavy leather, being coarse and dry to the touch. "Anywho, nice meeting you Edo." The man waves off, setting his hand deep inside of his coat. "In any case, are you still up for your match with Poltergeist?" He asks, pointing at the sentient clown doll, who shrugs nonchalantly.
"I'm ready when he is." The Poltergeist adds, yawning a bit. "A match should be fun."

Taking up a combat stance, Edo prepares for a round of sparring. This was certainly a welcome change from the death match he had previously. "Alright then. If it's alright with you, I'll start." he announced, his voice teeming with excited cockiness. In what he had hoped would be a fast enough speed to at least catch the clown by surprise, he went behind the clown in an attempt to land a bunch to the back. Edo had made an assumption, which he seemed to do a lot and usual at his own expense, that this silly looking clown could be as strong as the teen had sensed him to be. Perhaps he just wasn't used to the ability yet.

The fighters' vast different in power levels shows, as the Poltergeist effortlessly dodges the Saiyan's blows with a set of funny looking (but effective) bounds in the opposite directive. It also seemed to help that the Poltergeist is a tiny clown doll, who probably shouldn't have existed on the material plane. However, in a moment of overconfidence, the clown is struck by a single strike to the back, and is launched forward with a WHOOSH. The blow sends it flying for a decent distance, though it had less to do with a large amount of damage (as demonstrated by the ki still pumping heavily from the clown), and more with the fact that the toy's minuscule stature made it incredibly light.
"Not too bad, are you?" The Poltergeist manages to smile (which is admittedly, kind of unnerving), as it regains its footing. "You're almost as strong as sir Jerry." It nods, readying itself once more for combat. "That being said, it looks like I'll have to take this fight a bit more seriously." It pumps its fist, and begins cackling, as it propels itself towards the Saiyan. Its lanky limbs stretch out further, as it prepares to launch its own wave of attacks at the Saiyan. But in the spirit of good fun, it still holds back.
[The dodges were just for flavor text. Mechanically, I think a basic melee rush beats the outstanding input of absolutely friggin' nothing. So, I take the hit!]

At first, the teen was afraid he went too hard too quick, surprised to see the clown fly off into the distance. However, when his opponent came charging towards him as if nothing happened, he was both relieved and a little let down by his own weak opening strike. Still, Edo wanted to take this time to test the strength of the poltergeist. Doing his best to dodge, block, and counter the oncoming blows. The hybrid then decided to let the clown hit him, though really it was more like, had no choice but to get hit by it due to it's higher speed. Edo reeled back, taking a second to evaluate the blow. "You hit pretty hard for a little guy." he said to the clown. "But Dura hits harder." he sneered, a bit more arrogant than he had at all intended. In fact, he meant to say that more to himself than anyone else. He then threw himself back towards his opponent, hoping to land more hits himself. though he though that if maybe he couldn't land any physical attacks, maybe the clown wouldn't be opposed to him bringing ki attacks into the mix.

"Maybe one day you will, young sir." The Poltergeist winks at the boy, before going into another frenzied dodging session. Each and every blow just barely manages to miss its intended target, as the toy-like creature turns and twists its seemingly malleable body in the most subtle of manners, requiring a very keen eye to even spot the added deception. But as the seconds went by, the Saiyan's combinations grew more and more complex, eventually managing to make the clown sweat (metaphorically, of course, as the Poltergeist isn't exactly organic). At some point, the Poltergeist's speed isn't enough, and the moment it momentarily loses its footing, the doll is slugged by a hard fist that connects with center of its tiny chest. Once the strike connects, a small wave of energy erupts in the air around both fighters, before the Poltergeist is sent flying into the opposite direction, spinning uncontrollably. Still, its power level refuses to go down, and one might suspect that as fantastic as the hit seemed to be, it wouldn't have amounted to much in an actual battle. But such was the beauty of sparring, no one involved has to be serious to gain strength.
Once the clown stops spiraling out of control, it comes to a complete stop, facing in the direction opposite from Edoma. With a slow, creaking click, the doll's head begins to turn itself to the Saiyan's direction. Its body, however, remains staring away from the lad. Had this owl-like feat been accomplished by anything else, it would have been disturbing and unnatural. But coming from the Poltergeist and its tainted ki, this was normal, almost jarringly so. "A phenomenal blow, Edoma." The Poltergeist's contorted head speaks up, as it begins to allow its body to follow suit. "I had no idea where that last attack would land, much less guess that you were aiming for the center of my chest." It continued its spinning around, until its body and head finally align. "Now, why don't we take this up a notch?" It offers with a devilish grin. "Hit me with your best Ki attack, you may even charge it up, if you'd like." It begins cackling in a low tone. Not out of arrogance, it seemed, but excitement. "I'll wait, scout's honor."

While Edo was no doubt having fun, he was also slightly put off by the poltergeist's odd movements, demonic smile, and tolerance to pain. That was a solid punch, and it barely seemed to care. It took the hybrid fighter a bit of self control not to ave another outburst at the owl like neck movements. It could also be due to his general adaptation to Jerry's... similar qualities that had slightly numbed him to this. What's more, the energy given off by the doll was, wrong. Still though, Edo was having too much fun to really care. The teen scoffed at the clown's statement, "My best huh?" He really only had two attack, and one was much more effective when angered. Cherry Bomb was practically mastered, however he wouldn't get much better with the Dura Cannon if he never used it to it's full potential, and this was certainly the best time, rather than in a more dire situation. Edo held his arm back, charging a red ball of ki in his palm. "Alright then, if you don't mind twiddling your thumbs for a bit, I'm going to use a relatively new attack." He then had another thought, if this doll was as strong as it looked, he could help him with something. "Mind if I ask you to do me a favor though?" he asked, the attack still charging. "Don't worry. I don't mind waiting." The Poltergeist smiles warmly (which is admittedly very jarring for one to see), giving off a girlish chuckle as it does so. "I'm a very patient doll, you see." It assures the lad, crossing its little arms as a gesture of peace. Despite both it and its master's brand of ki, both of them seemed to be affable enough. One might even wonder why (or how) they've become this way. "Go shoot." The Poltergeist states, mimicking a gun shot gesture with its gloved fingers, as it stared up at the Saiyan with its painted-on eyes. "What do you need from me?"

Well you CERTAINLY can't just a book by its cover. Looking at the two strange looking creatures, one could easily assume they were both monstrous inside and out. However Edo couldn't focus on that right now, any distractions, and his beam could turn into a bomb. "I'm going to be honest, I haven't quite gotten this attack down just yet. Mind telling me how the beam feels, y'know besides any pain. I mean sort of rate the attack of you know what I mean." The teen asks, hoping he had picked a good judge to use this on. The ball of ki is his hands grew larger. This would be only the second time he got it to full power, if he could.

"Not too big of a problem, assuming the blast doesn't run out my charge." The Poltergeist smiled, giving off a tiny giggle as it spoke. The attack seemed to excite the clown, in a manner that would have been disturbing had the doll not looked as cute as it did. It then turned its head to its master, leaving a hand on its porcelain hip, before calling out to the demon. "You mind explaining that to him, sir Jerry?" It asked, rolling its eyes a bit.
"Right, that does require explaining." Jerry nods in agreement, but still doesn't quite say what that is yet. And the question grows a bit more infuriating, as the duo spend the next few minutes awkwardly dawdling, with the clown making up hums and the demon thinking up a rational explanation for whatever that is. He settles for the next best thing.
"The Poltergeist can't stay here long." The cyclops finally lifts his head in reply. "She can only remain in my presence as long as her energy remains, before having to charge up again." He frowns. "It usually takes awhile for that to happen, but when I'm forced to put him into a fight, his power drains faster." He gives the clown a sly look, as if awaiting its approval, which he receives via wink. "They're weird that way."

"But you can bring it back right? I wouldn't want to break your toy." the teen sneered in a cocky voice. He tried to make it come out as fun loving and benign as possible, just as friendly banter, though may have let a bit too much arrogance along with it. The ball of ki now reaching it's peak, Edo smirked, ready to let fly the attack. "Thank you by the way." he added before sending his hand forwards, an almost primal shout following it's wake. A large red beam shout out towards the clown. Despite the hybrids almost blinding excitement, he managed to keep his beam on track, if the clown kept it's word, which Edo figured he had no real reason not to, you know besides that it might hurt, then he would hit his mark square in the chest. That being said, Edo surprised himself with the beam's size. Be it the clowns small stature or the beam's size, though he figured it was most likely the former, the beam could very possible engulf the doll.

"Kid, trust me, I'm strong enough. I wouldn't even need to bring the Poltergeist back." Nabel sneered playfully in response to the young man's adorable sense of arrogance, but was forced to soften his teasing expression by the Poltergeist's icy glare. "-but I'll do that anyway." The demon added, his eyes rolling as he chuckled, much to the clown's displeasure. The demon trudges with, continuing his speech, as he watches the young Saiyan fire the beam at his summoned guard. "She's lovely company, and I don't know what I'd do without him." He continued (once again flubbing the pronoun game), his voice was completely sincere, in spite of the sugary tone.
"But that ain't the point, we're focusing on that right now." Pointing at the wave of energy that engulfed the clown, Nabel's eyes widened with a small burst of interest, which quickly settled as the dust cleared. Despite the wave's massive size, the Poltergeist remained undisturbed. Sure, it was much more worse for wear than when it started off, with its (literally) porcelain skin marked with ashes, and its polyester fabric ripped and burned making that abundantly clear. But it remained, not only unmoved, but even more excited at the prospect of fighting more.
"It isn't much, just a solid Ki blast to the temple." The Poltergeist spoke up, its voice could be heard louder and clearer, despite the lack of moving lips. In fact, its jaw appears to be unhinged from the blast. Impressive for a beginner, but not to Nabel and the Poltergeist. "But." The demon continues, getting ready to add to its previous statements. "With a whole lot more power, or a little bit of ingenuity, this attack could be impressive." It smiles, wiping the dust from its tattered clothing. "You have potential. Not too much of it mind you, but you're certainly not lacking in any regard." It pumped a confident arm, and flashed the lad an approving thumbs up. "And before you ask, if I could feel pain, then it probably would have hurt."
