Rocks, mountains, more rocks, natural pillars of stone, even more rocks, and a whole lot of nothing. Seemed like the perfect place to train. Edoma was still getting used to the earth, this being the longest time he'd been there. What got to him the most was probably the lighter pull to the ground. He had always heard that Vegeta's gravity was roughly ten times that of earth, and honestly didn't notice it his three previous visits. However now that he was having an extended stay, he noticed his push ups seemed to take less effort. To make matters worse, his flying suffered for it. When flying up to practice trading blows with the air, he somehow managed to take off too fast and found himself doing a front flip into a nearby cliff. Edo looked around, praying no one saw his embarrassing face plant.

[Heavy Weights on: 8622|2155.5] We prolly won't fight, but you never know what happens or who enters in an open thread.>->
The Saiyan wouldn't have to look far to find that his worries were completely justified, as a diminutive figure could be found chuckling on top of the battered cliff-side. The doll-like spectator sat cross-legged by the cliffs, his (or her) features hidden by the hood of an old cloak, save for the chapped, bloody lips that twisted into a weary smile.
"Hey, no shame in that, kid. Even the best and brightest have a little stumble or two along the way." The hooded figure called out cheerfully, waving a wrinkled arm at the lad. "You're a warrior in training, ain't ya? Best to just shrug it off, no one else saw that."

Surprised (and now a little red in the face,) the half breed looks up looking fort he mystery voice before remembering he could sense energy and found the source of the voice, along with it's waving arm. "Uh, yeah I'm training to beat some old-" Edo quickly cut himself off, the wrinkled arm leaving him with the assumption that perhaps this... man? also counted as an 'elder.' "I'm training to beat a rival of mine. This is actually my first time training on earth, not really used to this light gravity."

"New to the planet, huh?" The cloaked creature nods empathetically, the smile from earlier creasing into a blank, think line. "You can remedy that gravity problem of yours a bit by putting on some weighted clothes." With a quick, light thump of his chest, the figure gives out a tiny cough, before refocusing his attention on the newcomer. "No offense, but why are ya visiting the Wastes? The stranger's voice deepens a bit, in a way that sounds undeniably masculine, though it only lasts a moment. "You'd prolly have a better time if you trained in the city. At the very least you'd have someone regulatin' yer regimen." He shrugs, allowing a few peeks at the tattered suit and heavy gi hidden beneath the cape's coverage. "That and you'd have an actual sparring partner. Don't get me wrong. Shadow-boxin' is great and all, but you just don't get that extra push on yer own." He tilts to the side, glaring at the Saiyan with a hollow socket on one side, and a single, blood-shot eye on the other. "You know what I mean?"

The teen backs up slightly, catching a small glimpse of the being's face. Edo got the feeling that this person just might not be from around here. That being said it was clear they knew more about this planet than himself, which really wasn't that hard. Though still a little put off by what he'd seen of the creature, Edo figured he was nice enough to trust. "Well I came here mostly because it's close to the town I'm staying in. Since I don't really know the planet all too well, I'm not sure where to look for some good training." Not wanting to seem impolite, though mostly out of curiosity about the stranger's appearance, Edo flew up to his level. "You wouldn't happen to know a better place to train would you?" he queried. He was half tempted to ask the stranger for a spar himself, however given what he's seen of his appearance, and the cough from earlier, Edo was more afraid of seriously hurting him.

"Depends on how you train." The man replies, the smallest hints of gritty confidence leaking into his tone, though he quickly corrects himself with a sudden gulp. "I used t-" The cyclops stops in his tracks, and sighs, air billowing down the sides of his hood, showing off a glimpse of the man's rotting, leathery complexion. "I knew a guy who used to beat on thugs as his training." He chuckles heartily. "Dumb kid with dumb ideas he was. Setting aside a harsh laugh, the stranger shook his head wearily, before pointing at the Saiyan. "You on the other hand, should try North Capitol. I heard there used to be a great dojo that stood somewhere in that mess of a city. Otherwise, the local gyms should do you good." He sighed longingly, as if his mind had drifted off somewhere else for the briefest of moments. "Assuming you can pay for that of course. Really you could keep training here. It'd be better if you could spar with someone though."

The half breed, stood on the air, arms folded in thought, taking in the man's advice. "North Capitol huh...?" he thought aloud. If it was in the north it certainly couldn't be too far away. He could go there, see if he could learn about this great dojo, maybe spar with someone there. It certainly couldn't hurt. "I think I'll check out the capitol once I'm done here. I mean I've already started...ish" he began, pausing to remember his earlier collision with the rock wall, his face burning slightly. He then realized he still knew little to nothing about how training on this planet worked. It couldn't be too different but he supposed it couldn't hurt to ask. "How does training here work, I can't imagine it's all that different from on Vegeta."

"It depends, most people from around here ain't that strong, so their training's pretty light." The cyclops grins on in bemusement, his blood-stained lips making a shrill cracking noise as it widened into a decidedly cheery expression. For whatever reason, the hooded figure seems to be enjoying the Saiyan's company. "As for people like you- aspiring warriors, is what I mean- there's always forms and sparring. And weight training's always popular." With a snap of his fingers, the man summons a weak wave of ki, which billows past both fighters, showcasing the garb hidden beneath the creature's cloak. The most obvious (and perhaps, most surprising) detail is the remains of what was probably a very neat dress-suit. Though between tattered tears and gritty grime, the suit's once well-kept upkeep is nowhere near noticeable. At first glance, it might even appear to be nothing more than a dusty old rag. Underneath the formal attire, one can spot a surprisingly complete set of casual clothing, though the bumps and scratches around it suggest that it's weighted. Which may be what the man is trying to show. "Like I said a few panels back, strapping on some weighted clothing helps you deal with Earth's lighter gravity." He continues speaking, letting the gusts of energy die down. "Though I doubt that it'd be enough to simulate your planet's pull... For that you could grab a gravity-enhancing chamber for your ship, if it's big enough to support one."

Gravity chamber huh? Well that would require a place to hold it, which currently the teen had none. Surprisingly, the weighted clothing piqued his interest the most. Purposely limiting yourself certainly seemed foolish at first, though it definitely could help with training. Just as this thought crossed Edo's mind, the stranger created a soft wave of ki, throwing up his cloak. The clothes revealed were, odd to say the least, though not at first glance. Despite the almost out of place old rags, the half breeds attention immediately went to the bumps on the clothing. This did give Edo a whole new slew of questions. First and foremost involving how the weighted clothes can affect one's power. "Interesting... I've seen weighted armor before back on Vegeta but never tried it myself. Does it limit you? Er... I mean besides with weight being heavier and uh... yeah..." He tried to ask, but ended up talking faster than he could think, feeling as if he took another face plant, though this time verbally. "I mean, how does it limit you besides weighing you down?"

"It cuts down on my strength greatly. Ki included, if that's what you're interested in knowing." The demon answers with a nod, his smile still as bright (and as bloodied) as it was earlier. "I'm barely three and a half feet, and I weigh much less than the average person, much less an actual fighter. The clothes on my back are the heaviest kind out there. They're around four- maybe five- times heavier than I am." The figure brings out his withered arm, and begins counting on his cracked and dry fingers. In full view, one can see the full extent of the rotting and infection that covered the creature's leathery skin. Along with that, blood and bile oozed from the aged stitches that held the man together. "With this on, I doubt that I can access more than a quarter of my full power at any given moment. Not that I'd ever need it." He shrugs, hiding his grotesque right upper limb into his cloak. Oddly enough, his other arm has yet to be seen. "These are all over North Capitol, you should look for a set if you'd like. Just be wary of having to strip down whenever a match comes your way." He laughs, his smile shifting into a sly grin.

Edo lurched back, now taking in the grotesque visage before him. He had been too distracted by the weighted clothing at first to notice just how decayed this man looked, in fact he began to question if this person was a man at all. His mind completely forgetting the weights, he found himself thinking aloud. "What the hell?!" he found himself impulsively shouting. He then stopped, trying to keep a polite manner, though he had a feeling he was feeling. "I-I'm sorry that was rude." Struggling to change the subject as quickly as possible, he thought of a new question about the weights. "So er, the power you're giving off now, isn't er, your full power I take it?" he stuttered, hoping his attempt to defuse the tension he had assumed he created.

"No, no. It's- It's fine. Don't be sorry." The man just attempts to smile off the Saiyan's outburst, though his tone still carries a tinge of embitterment. Whether he meant to show it or not, the demon was obviously offended by the lad's reaction. "You're not exactly wrong, kid." The figure looks up, his hood now just barely obscuring the patchwork of diseased flesh and leather that was his skin. "I'll be the first to tell you that all of this..." He wiggles his right arm, gesturing towards the rest of his body. "... wasn't made in Heaven. That's for sure." He chuckles, before settling down.
"Right, my 'power'." The cyclops snickers a bit at the mention of the last word. "No, no one can feel your full strength when you're wearing weighted threads." He grins, recovering his good humor from earlier. "You can sense energy, ey? Neat."

Hearing his pride being awoken, he forgot about his accidental insult and simply could not resist the chance to brag ever so slightly. "Yep, I learned how to do that when I..." Edo stopped short, his prideful tone left as quickly as it came. He then rubbed his eyes, remembering what had triggered his new ability. He gave a weak smile, deciding not to talk about his defeat, though still wanting to explain how he gained the ability, being the prideful teenager he was. "I took a blast to the face, left me blind for a while." he said, still bragging, but in a more subtle tone. He then perked himself up slightly, deciding to ask one of the two burning questions on his mind. "So if you don't mind me asking, what IS your power level?" At first glace he appeared rather frail, but if those weights were the reason, perhaps he wasn't as fragile as Edo had assumed.

"Good on you for recovering from the blind thing. Being blind is never fun, ey?" The demon nods, grinning in relief. "But, hmm, a blast strong enough to actually blind someone." He clicks his teeth, his mind drifting off for a brief moment. "Lemme guess. We're talking about yer rival here, right?"
"My power level?." The man is taken off guard by the question, but sighs it off fairly quickly. "Er, no idea. Low? Very low? Eh, po-tay-to, po-tah-to. He chuckles quietly, cracking up a bit at his own attempt at self-deprecation. "It was pretty low, last time I had someone check it. The demon shrugs, not thinking much of his own strength. "Why do you ask?"

"Oh..." the hybrid says a little put down, though now riled up by two mentions of his hated rival. "Just curious, I guess it's the saiyan in me." he added, trying to take his mind off of his now four losses to an old human man. He does a poor job hiding it though, his hand returning to his eyes, as if dust was constantly trapped over them, refusing to move no matter how hard he rubbed. He had to take out his anger somehow, but he could hardly bring himself to attack an opponent weaker than himself out of no where. Edo knew what it meant to be the weak one, though this person didn't mind one bit, which he actually found to be a pleasant surprise. Still though he found himself thinking of his fight not even a full day ago. "I... I'm sorry can you give me a moment?" Edo turned to face a nearby cliff away from the two, thinking of the perfect outlet. "Take this old man!" he yelled instinctively, firing his Dura Cannon at the cliff. "Yeah..." he panted after the blast. "That was him." he breathed, relieved to have gotten that out. ([N1] Dura Cannon - 33% used on a poor unsuspecting rock formation)
