(General Background + Synopsis)
Deep in the wastelands far to the north there lived a family of demons worthy to note in the briefest stories ever wrote. None of them were respectable and none of them were alive, but they used human bodies to hide. And then when someone entered their place they killed them and left not one single trace. The pillaged some villages here and there and ate their fill of souls without care. All the demons were demons from Other World disguised as humans to take over the Living World. All belonged to the Inugami clan, the demon dogs of fire and earth, but here is a tidbit that is worthy to note. Two were servants and three were great demon successors coming of age. The trio's parents lived on the other side, the Other World, where evil resided. They had sent their children to the planet Earth in hopes they would grow strong and destroy the Earth.
Yet it is important to note their caretakers first, because they two had failed to take over the Earth, so for now they were teaching them the ways of hiding in shadows and killing with blades. First among them was the drill sergeant Pei Pan, the "Howling Queen", now a servant of the Inugami clan. Pei Pan's power was the essence of wind and with it she beheaded good and bad men. Yet to her students she did provide the ever increasing necessities of life. Oguma, Mei, and Dai suckled from her all the knowledge the could for an entire year. While the second was a man named Choi Pan. With his deadly claws he had made a name for ripping out souls and eating them like grain. He became the Choi Pan the Wheat Demon and helped gather Oguma, Mei and Dai the souls they needed to sustain their life.
In the coldest region of the world they marched south and ate their fill. Human towns and settlements disappeared from the map yet these demons retreated when their stomachs grew fat. They lived this way for up to a year, training, fighting each other for food. Though the strongest among them was the middle child, the young Oguma who was never too wild. He was a bit wiser than the other two and unlike them found ways to sneak food. He would use these skills and get personal training from Pei Pan and Choi Pan in fighting. Though his ultimate goal was to rule the Earth, however, his name held no girth. Nobody remembered it and nobody cared in terms of the people he tried to scare.
It made him mad and quite upset so when rumor came around of tournament all continued to train and get strong and this is where the story really begins for us all. As the son of two demons living in Other World, his father Akatsuki and his mother Yuna, they would not be happy if he gave up. So he made it a goal of himself to see the Earth and challenge its people those who could hurt him.

Gizzard Wasteland (Two Weeks until the 9th Centennial Conference)
"March you maggots!" a woman's voice rang loud and clear. She had long black bangs and hair twisted into long strands with a band tying them tightly to the back of her head. Her eyes were black as coal and her pale skin glistened in the snow falling around her. She wore over her body a white shirt with short sleeves, long black pants, and a sandals. Despite the cold weather though she felt none of the cold though due to having lived there for nearly the last one thousand five hundred years.
Next to her walked a man with red hair and green eyes, coming of his head were two small, curved black horns and he wore only a pair of gray pants. He looked back behind him and whispered, "Pei, do not harass our students. We have been walking for a month straight without rest and by now I am sure they are tired. His skin was also pale, but much paler than hers causing it to blend in with the snow around him as a cold blast of air rushed against them. His name was Choi Pan and he was the "Father Figure" of the house training the current Inugami clan students on Earth.
Walking behind, a man with brown eyes and hair wearing a black suit leaned on a giant, black claymore as he walked. Every breathe he took was labored and he moaned, "Souls... Must have souls..." This was the normally reliable Dai Inugami, most-likely future heir of the Inugami Household in Other World. The issue was he was not suited for long times, especially since they had not feasted on living souls for many days. The family had been living in secret deep in the coldest wastelands of the world, however, ever since Pei Pan and Choi Pan had taken him, Mei, and Oguma in they had simply consumed far too many people and animals in their wasteland to even consider living there anymore.
Though everybody knew the above issue to a very dangerous and concerning issue a woman with short brown hair wearing a black and yellow jacket, a skimpy black bra, and torn black pants and shoes came up behind him and kicked him in the back of the head. Dai instant fell over and the woman brushed her white hands together as she leaned over him and said, "Shut up big brother, I, Mei Inugami will really kill you if I have to hear you speak of needing souls to sustain your stupid self."
Dai could feel anger seeping through the pores of her beautiful body and smiled. Her fragrant aroma of crushed skulls and worm guts quickly revived him and he stood up in the snow and proudly announced, "I must con-"
He barely got a chance to finish when a golden spear covered in purple binding soared through the air and landed directly in front of him. The owner of the spear, a young man with spiky black hair and calm brown eyes, approached Dai from behind and stepped in front of him to pull the spear out of the ground. His olive skinned body, toned with hardened muscles and his heavy, bronze armor covered in demon head designs gave him the image of a proper warrior compared to those around him. He wore a black tunic with matching pants and a white shirt underneath. Unlike the others, he also wore fine leather boots. Clearly, he had prepped himself for this journey across the snow, but as he looked to his friends and family he could only think that they were all fools even if they were all demons.
"You all need to go home," he stated as he pointed his spear at Dai, "especially our masters." He looked back at his masters who were looking at him from behind and watched them walk over to Mei and Dai.
"We would not be having to do this you know, but apparently someone fed Oguma all the remaining souls in this region." Pei Pan voiced as she let her voice raise at Choi Pan. She pointed a long finger at him and added, "Even if you are my husband it was not right of you to power up the young man in front of us for the upcoming tourney. You really made him far too strong with all the spirits you fed him."
Choi Pan laughed and looked at Oguma, "Go, they do not understand why I did such as a thing as I did. Yet you are the only demon among us who can gain strength enough to open the gate to Other World that you have shown you can already summon. It is your natural birth right to maybe rule this world and the family you see before you do not understand that."
Dai grit his teeth and stepped forward to try and challenge Oguma but Mei got to him first and hit him hard across the face with a strong punch. She smirked at him and said, "Demons cheat to get strong you know. While you did normal training I heard Oguma here went out and ate people in his spare time. You should be grateful he has been since eventually we will be able to get home and see mommy and daddy." She smiled at her brothers continued to say, "We just do not have what it takes to go to this tournament. We have been training a year though and I know we have gotten strong."
Oguma then took his spear and hooked it to a holder on his back and said, "Listen to little sister she is smart."
Dai put his sword away on his back and then looked at Choi Pan, "So master, if we have killed every person in the region here probably what do you want us to do?"
"We need to go south, only for a little bit, however, I we can make it to a small place called Jingle Village, once there, hopefully there will be enough food to go around. In the meantime though, we wait there and allow Oguma to continue south and then follow him to the Budokai Tenkaichi Tournament Grounds I have heard of over the years. None of us can fly except Pei Pan, so um, we will probably take some time to get there."
Oguma listened to Choi laugh and said, "I guess while you are gone doing that I can fight or find a few people to kill before the battles take place at the tourney grounds. That said though, we will be gone from each other for a while. So thanks for everything..." He then turned and started to walk off into the snow heading south. He could hear his family of demons shout, "Goodbye Oguma and good luck!" before he looked back and witnessed them walk off into the general direction of Jingle Village.

Fukurou Forest (Two Weeks until the 9th Centennial Conference)
He hoped they could find enough food there since none of them had eaten proper souls for a while to keep their bodies from falling apart. He could feel his legs wobble a little as started to walk again and took out his spear and used it as a walking stick until he made it to the edge of the cold wasteland. Once he had he found himself in a warmer region, a nice forest, and sighed with happiness as a deer crossed his path. His spear shot out as he pulled his arms back and thrust them forward to skewer the beast on the end of his weapon. The deer let out a loud bleat and shuddered before he felt the shadows of the night fall upon him. It had taken him an entire day to reach this region, but he now felt certain he was in a region he had not explored, due to their being living prey, and also felt he was one step closer to the tournament grounds themselves. He could only hope his demonic family was okay and thought, "I should probably get something to communicate or invent a technique to locate them again one day soon."
After thinking this thought he tiredly sat down in the forest and ate his meal before laying down on the ground and falling asleep. The stars came out, yet due to his dark aura and fearsome power no animals dared to go near him that night. The demon Oguma was ready to hunt and in order to do so he had let his family go and went about his business to become the most powerful demon in existence.
