The man introduced himself as Defrosch. Defrosch, Raisu thought as he tucked the name away in the back of his mind. He could remember that name. It was easy enough, like the other Arcosian he had met's name: Polar. And Raisu had to agree with him there: it was nice for their encounter to not devolve into fighting over something stupid. How many times had that happened to him before? Plenty of times before.
And then Defrosch said most people freaked out when he saw them. Raisu liked to think he was the accepting type. He had to be if he was on the road. You met all kinds out here. How silly would it be to travel around and hate everyone you met because of their appearance?
"Well, I consider myself the accepting type," explained Raisu, "But you're not the first Arcosian I've met."

Ah. So it was both being accepting and the fact that Raisu had met another of Defrosch's species. Now isn't that just great... "Wow. I kinda feel a bit sorry for you. My... 'People'... I guess- aren't exactly the most hospitable. Mind givin' me a description of 'em? So I know who to avoid like the proverbial plague in the future?" Yeesh, Defrosch sounded mighty sour in regards to this particular topic. Whats his deal, anyway?
"I mean, I guess you don't really have to if you don't want to though. Your choice... Mostly just hoping its not someone that I personally know." Defrosch grumbled as he hooked yet another fish, again he quite effortlessly hoisted it out of the water and caught it. "Mm... Bit small, but I'll take it."

Defrosch sounded a bit bitter as he asked for a description. The way he said it was so odd. It was almost like the way Raisu hated being lumped in with the Saiyans. Probably exactly like that. It was a shame that one did not get to choose the circumstances of their birth. It would make life significantly easier or more entertaining. But, alas, that was not up them. They were instead tied up by whatever binds fate had seen fit to outfit them with, as cruel or unwanted as they might be. He said it was Raisu's choice, but Raisu decided there was no harm in it.
"Uh, kind of a short guy. Well, he is most of the time. I saw him transform into some big monster guy once. But yeah, short. Has like blueish-white armor stuff and the rest of his body is deep blue. Goes by the name Polar."
Would Polar take offense to Raisu describing him to the strange Arcosian? Possibly. The man was hard to predict.

Defrosch nodded as he listened to the physical description of this other Arcosian that Raisu was giving. He also- though mostly unwillingly- cycled through those he could recall when he was on Arcose as a youngster, trying to figure out if he had met anyone like that. He wouldn't bother to remember their names though, they weren't important to him at all. The only ones that wouldn't leave his mind in both visage and name were those of his immediate family, most of which he utterly despised; namely his father Sleete. The Arcosian's face formed a scowl. He didn't like giving even the smallest iota of time thinking of his father beyond wishing to beat the living daylights out of him.
"Hmm.. Polar huh... No, can't say I know him. Its probably for the best anyway." Defrosch shrugged, no real point in worrying too much about someone he didn't know, nor cared to meet. "Didn't give you any trouble did he?" Defrosch thought that he must have been angered somehow if he was to shift out of his suppressed form... Couldn't hurt to ask, could it?

The Arcosian nodded, quite visibly thinking. He didn't seem happy about whatever he was thinking about. Perhaps he was not the biggest fan of Polar, if he even knew the other Arcosian. But it was only a few moments later that Defrosch confirmed that he did not, in fact, know the alien Polar. Of course he didn't, thought Raisu. The galaxy was vast. The chances were slim of them actually knowing one another. He even asked if the other Arcosian gave him trouble. Well, the other Arcosian had caused a little trouble, but it wasn't his intention.
"Nah, he didn't," said Raisu, "He's nice enough, though a little rough around the edges. We ran into some trouble with the Blue Banner Army, though. They didn't take kindly to his crash landing."

Defrosch blinked in mild confusion. He was expecting a different answer entirely, but no matter. It is what it is. "Not much trouble huh..? Thats new." Raisu also mentioned the Blue Banner Army. Defrosch vaguely remembered them, he met a few of their members and fought with the KAOS troops in West Capitol during the invasion. "Hah. I don't think most would take kindly to a crash landing if it causes any problems like property damage or something. I know I wouldn't..." He recalled that two Saiyans had gone off course and landed near his 'home' in the desert... Perhaps they had managed to flee once they woke up? Who knows.
Defrosch didn't, thats for sure, and like with most inconsequential little things, he didn't really care. This was simply because if they showed up to enact revenge for Defrosch humiliating them, he'd just beat them up again.

Defrosch seemed surprised that Polar had not cause any trouble for him. Were Arcosians just prone to trouble? Where had he heard that before? Of course, he was thinking of Chaz and Ibby, the duo he had met in South Capitol. Trouble went wherever they went, for better or for worse. But it seemed that trouble was a common thing these days, for everybody. He couldn’t think of any time he had met somebody without it devolving into trouble. Defrosch might be the first person he had met without trouble arising.
But he was right. The Blue Banner Army had not taken kindly to Polar’s crash landing. It had, of course, devolved in fighting and trouble. But that wasn’t because of Polar, not at all. Some people just caused trouble, like the Blue Banner Army. Of course, they meant well. But like with any army, trouble makers came with it.
“So, uh, what brings you to Earth?”
Of course, it was Raisu’s way of asking if the man was a refugee from the battle of Arcose.

"What brought me to Earth, huh?" Defrosch could give his new acquaintance multiple answers. "Well..." He could say that Arcose was a societal craphole in his eyes riddled with egotism and selfish hedonism beyond all belief. Perhaps he could detail how his personal ideals that he learned on his own while growing up would always clash with his 'dearest' father Sleete and his devilry. Or that he didn't particularly care for anyone that was there bar his kinder more light-hearted brother Hayll. Any combination of these things and possibly many others would more than cover what brought him to Earth, beyond an accident in frantic coordinate input of course... But sometimes simplicity would be the best route to take.
"I dunno, really. Dumb luck, I suppose." He shrugged, recasting his fishing line once again. "Ah well. There are worse places to spend seven years of your life. Such as Arcose. Its a dump. I wouldn't recommend going there, even in the slightest."

Dumb luck? Interesting, thought Raisu. But he could understand that. Hell, it was dumb luck that brought Raisu just about anywhere. So, if anyone understood the power of dumb luck, it was Raisu. One could even say that this very meeting was a result of dumb luck, though whether it was lucky or not remained to be seen. Things could always take a turn for the worse, but somehow Raisu doubted that Defrosch here was the murderous, evil type. He certainly didn't seem like it. Of course, thought Raisu, he might be hiding whatever nefarious plans he has behind the fishing. What was he doing with all those fish anyway? Plotting some kind of sea creature takeover? Raisu laughed to himself. It was sort of funny to entertain himself like this, but it was distracting him from the conversation at large.
"Ah, I see. Yeah, I can feel it. And besides, I'd imagine you're not keen on going back to Arcose, especially now that the Saiyan Empire is done with it. You can bet it isn't in good shape now."
Raisu had seen some of the destruction on Earth, and that had been with a successful defense. He couldn't imagine the state of Arcose.

It seemed as though Raisu was in deep thought, perhaps of something more positive, given that he laughed for a moment. "Mm? Think of a good joke or somethin'?"
Raisu then mentioned something else about Arcose... That being the Saiyan Solar Empire had been there at some point- and to Defrosch's estimate- quite recently. Perhaps just before Earth? That confirmed that any mention of Arcose during the lookout meeting was likely of this situation. So, its just like Jarvis had told him; Arcose was barren, or rather; more barren than usual with the added side effect of malicious, vampiric floral growth. "Ah, so they're the ones that put the murder tree there? Or whatever it was that was drinking the planet's life juice? Yeah, I'd imagine that it would be quite grim and all, but... I can hardly muster up a single shit to give, sooo... Nah. Not keen in any sense of the word." Defrosch shook his head. "Really, there isn't any point in it. Arcose might mean something to some, but it means basically nothing to me." Defrosch looked over to Raisu. "Harsh, I know. The thing is, I had nothing but bad times back there. I was something of an outcast cuz apparently its bad that I wasn't an aggressive domineering jackass, and didn't want to steal planets, only to sell them off to some rich space-bastard just like everyone else." Well... Thats certainly something.

Raisu shook his head to this. No jokes, at least one worth mentioning or retelling. Very rarely was that the case with Raisu's jokes. He didn't consider himself a comedian and nobody else did. Good thing he was a fighter by trade rather than a comedian.
Apparently Defrosch just did not care about his home world. How cold, thought Raisu. Raisu couldn't imagine taking that stance in regards to Earth. It seemed near impossible to Raisu to hate one's home. But of course, Raisu had mostly good experiences here. He thought it was a beautiful place, one that made him almost get teary eyed in tender moments.
But Raisu didn't know Defrosch's life. He could not say what the Arcosian had went through or seen. He was an outcast because he wasn't an ass? Raisu had to step back and consider that a moment. That would be like Raisu growing up on Vegeta. In another world, Raisu's father might have taken him back there and what would he be like then? If Raisu was anything like he was today, he'd probably hate Vegeta. Perhaps the idea of hating home was easier to imagine than he gave credit for.
Raisu stepped away from the Arcosian. Perhaps they should leave it at that. Raisu had a few things to think about.
"Well, Defrosch, it was nice meeting you. I need to get going now, but I'll see you around. Maybe next time I can show you the full extent of my power, eh?"
And after hearing the Arcosian's response, Raisu burst into the air and flew away. What an interesting experience, he thought. You met all sorts out in this world.

"Ah.. No jokes, huh? Tough crowd..." Defrosch winced, he probably took that rant a bit too far. Raisu didn't look as though such negative thoughts sat well with him at all. "Uh... I went a bit overboard on that, didn't I?" Defrosch took a deep breath and awkwardly blurted out the following "Erm. So I guess I'm Soorrryy..?" With that, it was clear he didn't have experience in apologizing. Likely because nobody he had thus far met had given him much of a reason to, but in this instance it was legitimate, no matter how confused he sounded while speaking.
"Okay, maybe I'm a bit salty at times. But hey, you can't always be super positive and sugar coat everything." Defrosch nodded to Raisu as he stepped away, hoisting yet another fish out of the water. "Nice meetin' me huh? Thats a rarity. Nevertheless, I see it similarly. Nice to meet you too Raisu." Defrosch grinned as Raisu offered to show his true power one day. "Ahh, is that a challenge? Well, even if it isn't, sure! I look forward to seeing the full extent of your hidden strength if we meet again."
Defrosch waved as Raisu flew away. He sat there thinking over some things for a while. In his mind Earth wasn't anything similar to Arcose by any means, and Defrosch liked it that way. Yet he still couldn't properly call it home as readily as others would. He was an outcast on Arcose and hes an outcast here, though for different reasons.
Perhaps one day he would truly see Earth in the same light as the others that he met on the lookout...
Defrosch let out a sigh, and gathered his things before making his way back to the Fortuneteller's Desert.
"I really need to get out more..."
[Thread Exit/End, I'll take PL with suppressed form bonus, thanks~ Yeees, its good to chill sometimes ay Raisu? :P]
