Beryl stared hard at both Koldar and Abzerute, dark-brown eyes still hidden behind his pair of sunglasses. His mouth thinned into a hard line. “Wait, Abzerute spoke to you about me?” the dark-skinned human inquired, side-eyeing the bronze Arcosian. While normally Beryl wouldn’t have minded, the fact that Abzerute was giving out information about him to another Arcosian made Beryl uneasy. Arcosians were generally the manipulative sort, as bad as it sounded, and the last thing Beryl wanted was for him to be looked at as a commodity, a tool. “I am Beryl, yes,” the researcher confirmed, nodding once. “Captain Koldar Frost? Arcosian Empire? Well, nice to meet you.” Despite his confusion, Beryl didn’t forgo his manners. As soon as Abzerute started talking, Beryl listened closely, eager for an explanation of the situation. “So, he isn’t a friend?” The human gazed at the military officer once more before looking back at Abzerute. “You two seemed like you were getting along well enough … at least from where I was standing.” There was a pause. “You’re looking for recruits, Captain Koldar?” The question was neutral-toned, one that didn’t have any sort of definitive emotion behind it. “Hold on. You mentioned me as a potential candidate, Abzerute?!” The human’s head snapped back towards the sun-cooked Arcosian. “Why? Before, you were pointing out how you think the way I fight is strange.” Beryl’s eyelids lowered; again, the motion was hidden behind his sunglasses. “Plus, I’m not really looking to join an army. Besides, I’m not much of a soldier.” Despite his unwillingness to join a military force, the Arcosians’ at that, Beryl was still curious about whatever the two Changelings were discussing. The Earthling looked at the two frost demons before speaking up. “Does this have something to do about the Saiyan Solar Empire?” Abzerute Koldar Frost

The man had a very confused sort of style, in the terms of speech. It told Koldar that the man was trying to remain hidden from something, or maybe someone. He noted he wasn't a soldier, that he was not looking to join, and questioning if this was about the SSE. Koldar nodded, as he responded, "Indeed. It most certainly is about the Solar Saiyan Empire, but that's something smaller than what I have in mind..."
Koldar motioned his hand to the empty seat next to Abzerute, to have him sit and listen to what he had in mind. Whether or not he sat, Koldar continued on with the immediate statement, "What I have in mind is rebuilding the empire as a whole. To bring it back to the days when we were once the most feared Empire in the universe. To this effect we need many resources, people who can fight, and those that can think... As in scientists, like yourself, but before you freak out, understand that I am only here to simply recruit the willing and wise. As a man who balances between the worlds of a fighter and a scientist, as Abzerute explained, I would personally like to make you an ally to this rebuilding empire. If there are conditions that you wish to have met before being named an ally to the empire, and this goes to you as well, Abzerute, then name them. I will see to it that what you need is taken care of. By myself personally. Of course, there would be preliminary tests, to see what I am working with at one point in the near future, but that can be figured out as time goes along... Also, how rare do you think it is to come across an Earthling Boxer, all the way out here in Arcosian Space?"

"Humans make friends too easily. I prefer to weigh my options. For now... acquaintance will suffice for a descriptive term if a label has to be attached." shrugged the bronze Arcosian. "He's not an enemy if that's what you're concerned about." He sat and listened to Beryl's questions concerning why he mentioned him to Captain Koldar. "Precisely because your fighting style is strange... although Captain Koldar here appears to be familiar with your boxing technique." he offered as a means of explaining his actions, sitting back and listening to Captain Koldar explain precisely what it was he was planning on attempting to accomplish.
He decided to expand upon the Captains choice of words before the human could completely freak out. He did still need access to the humans Gravity Chamber after all. "Strength is what I believe the Captain is implying Mister Beryl when he mentions those bygone days of the Empire. Back then, nobody dared to mess with the Arcosian Empire... now however? We both know how that reputation has gone. Especially in the wake of Zucceta's assault." the bronze Arcosian stated, watching the two of them closely for their reactions.

There was something larger and bigger to discuss than the Saiyan Solar Empire? Here, Beryl thought that was the most prevalent issue at hand! The realization made him incredibly antsy; the dark-skinned human wringed his hands and messed with his fancy, sleek shades, adjusting them unnecessarily. It was a good thing neither Koldar nor Abzerute could see Beryl’s eyes from behind his shades; if they could, it would only make it more painfully obvious that Beryl was freaking out despite the Arcosians’ attempts to calm him down. “What is it then, sir?” the Earthling asked Koldar, anxiety riveting through his voice. The legion captain’s explanation was lengthy and packed full of information. The Arcosian Empire’s reputation and glory had been tarnished, soiled, eradicated. Koldar wanted to build the empire back up to what it was once was -- where the mere mention of the Arcosian Empire made people either widen their eyes in awe or tremble in their boots. Beryl was being scouted as a potential recruit, an ally who could help make Koldar’s (and Abzerute’s) dream a reality. While Beryl listened, he started to get an uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach; it felt like his stomach was turning flips inside of his body. Though before Beryl responded, he listened to what Abzerute had to say. Apparently, it wasn’t actual, legitimate fear Koldar was referring to; it was strength. That calmed Beryl down slightly, but it was still skeptical about the whole ideal. Gulping, the twenty-three year old human finally spoke up. “I am sorry for what happened to Arcose. Nobody should have to go through the loss of their home planet,” Beryl said, his words genuine. Then, the worry ebbed through his speech and being. “I understand where you’re coming from; you want to build your home back up to what it once was. That’s fine but -- …” He paused, unsure of what to say; he seemed reluctant to give his true feelings. “I can’t help but be scared about what will happen if the Arcosian Empire gains so much power again. We all know what happened in the past with the PTO …” Sighing, the young human slumped his shoulders. “Now though, I think we should all work towards helping each other out. I can’t say that I’ll join your empire. I already have my own home to worry about.” Speaking of Earth, Beryl still wasn’t sure how the blue planet was doing. Hopefully, it wasn’t too wrecked. “However, I’ll try to do what I can to help you and your people get back onto their feet. I think that’s … fair enough, right?” Still, he was worried. Abzerute proceeded to simplify Koldar's statement to something that could calm the Human. Koldar remained staring strictly at the antsy human. He was stronger than the both of them and, if Koldar had to guess, if he wanted to, he'd be able to snuff them out without so much resistance, even if they were in their true forms. The young man, though, proceeded to bring up logical reasons behind his antsiness: The Planet Trade Organization. It seemed the man was fearful of them, and quite frankly, he wasn't wrong, but the way he put it was odd. Was he implying that only the Arcosians were the PTO and not a company of peoples.
He, however, agreed to at least assist the Arcosians back on to their feet, relieving the Arcosian a bit. Koldar replied, "That is also helpful in its own right, but it also seems you know not enough about the PTO. But, for now, let's get a drink, shall we? Having this stout and drinking alone at this table of 3 is a bit odd, wouldn't you say?"
He looked over to the bar and waved to the bartender, who proceeded to send a waitress over with a gleaming, digital notepad. She was a sea-blue, hard-skinned looking Brenchian woman, wearing a dark red shirt, a white apron, and dark red slacks. She asked them, with a quick hand shooting a menu out before the three of them, "Good day, gentlemen. How can I be of service to you?"
"Nerves are a bit wracked at the moment and I can say that everyone at the table here could use a drink. I, for one, am finding the stout a bit weak, despite drinking it vast quantities... Beryl, being a man from Planet Earth, surely you know a good drink or two, no? What do you recommend?"

"I'll handle that aspect." said the bronze Arcosian, in regards to the Planet Trade Organisation portion of the discussion. "I like to consider myself something of a historian." Abzerute stated whilst the waitress arrived looking for their drink orders. "I'll not imbibe, thank you." he politely declined, glancing at the menu briefly... then relenting. "However, I will give the Racnallion Shrimps a try." he said before regarding the human.
"Now, the Planet Trade Organisation and the Arcosian Empire did indeed have several connections to one another in the distant past, but they were seperate entities from one another... as much as the galaxy tends to forget that fact and tars all Arcosians with the same brush." the bronze Arcosian explained, a slight grumble in his tone. "Honestly, it would be like us considering all of humanities organisations the same after... that android's antics involving the now New Namek asteroid field recently." he suggested.

(Skipping over for now. Feel free to post when you can, Beryl Roarke.) Abzerute didn't want a drink, but asked for something called Racnallion Shrimps. It must've been a species of fish on this planet the Brenchain ate. Koldar proceeded answer this quarry by asking, "You know what. Do you have any Spirits?""Yes we do. We have Gin, v-""We'll go with the gin, in those little, bulb-like glasses," Koldar immediately responded, gin having been his favorite of the spirits. The waitress noted this, with a smile, as she pinned a 2 into the holographic menu. Koldar, though, didn't seem satisfied with just the two, as he told her, "Bring a whole bottle. I'll pay for the whole thing, if needed.""Well now! Something nice must've happened over here, hmm? The whole bottle will be 500 zeni."Koldar proceeded to hand the girl 500 zeni, plus an excess of 200 as a kind gesture, which the waitress graciously took! She made her way towards the bar area and proceeded to get the whole bottle and three glasses, in case all of them were to get it and brought it back, noting the order of shrimp to the back kitchen. She came back with the drinks and told them with a smile, "The shrimp will be on the house, boys.""Ah, that's great! Thank you very much."She placed the 4 items on the table before walking back. Koldar proceeded to pull the cork off, the sound of a smooth pop ringing in their ears. Koldar poured the drink into two glasses before putting the cork back on and putting the bottle on the table, to keep the drink clean of the bar's musty air. Koldar grabbed a glass, as Abzerute proceeded to give the history lesson, noting the unfortunate destruction of Planet Namek just recently in the process. Koldar sipped the juniper-drink, before agreeing with Abzerute's grumbled comparison. "Indeed, that would be true. Speaking of the android, though, was it not heading towards Planet Earth the last we heard of it? It happened during the destruction of Arcose, if I remember correctly. Apparently that arrogant abomination figured it could take on the warriors there as well and decimate the planet, like it did Namek."

The bronze Arcosian nodded when the waitress arrived with his shrimp, collecting one of the shelled fish in his fingers before consuming the whole thing in one bite. They seemed to resemble normal Earth shrimps... except for the added small spikes along their shells, and they were purple rather than pink. "Between the android and the Saiyan Empire... I dare to wonder if there would even be a shred of Earth remaining from the resulting conflict." Abzerute mused as he ate another of the shrimp.

Perhaps Beryl didn’t know enough, but what else was there for him to know? To be fair, he had always feared Arcosians ever since he learned about them. It was a mix of their latent power as well as their infamy for being tyrants and conquerors. In reality, he never thought that he would actually be working alongside Arcosians at all, especially ones who treated him with some inkling of respect. With a sigh, he adjusted his sunglasses and gave a slow nod. “Maybe I don’t know enough about the PTO,” he admitted. Thankfully, Abzerute filled him in on the details regarding the infamous organization. Apparently, the PTO was a separate entity from the Arcosian Empire, a fact that initially surprised Beryl. He could’ve sworn that the PTO and the Arcosian Empire were the same thing. “You mean the PTO and the Arcosian Empire were completely separate from each other?” Beryl asked, still mildly shocked. “If that’s the case, why didn’t the Arcosian Empire do anything about the PTO?” The talk of drinks and food quelled Beryl’s nerves. Once Koldar asked what kind of drinks he liked, Beryl blinked and made a face. “I -- uh -- I actually don’t drink,” the human informed. He was plenty old enough, being twenty-three, but alcohol never appealed to him. Beryl considered it a blessing in disguise. By now, the waiter had already been called over and after she handed Beryl a menu, the dark-skinned human looked over it confusedly whilst simultaneously slipping into a seat in the booth. He looked over the selection of foods and drinks. Despite how enticing many of them were, his nerves eradicated any sort of appetite he had before. “I’ve heard about that android though; they run some kind of security force or something back on Earth,” Beryl stated, still without a drink or any sort of food. He shook his head politely at the waiter, telling her that he wouldn’t need anything else from her. “Namek’s destruction really hit me hard. It might’ve not been my home, but to just hear about a planet being vaporized just like that in a blink of an eye?” Memories flashed through Beryl’s mind, unpleasant memories. “I don’t know what’s going on with that android right now though. The fact that Earth hasn’t been blown up yet is reassuring enough to me.” The black male’s dark colored eyes swept between the two Arcosians. “I feel a little better about helping you guys out. The only thing is … I just don’t want to be used or manipulated. That’s what I’m afraid of. I also don’t want anything happening to Earth either. If you two can at least promise me that, then I’ll do what I can to help both of you.” Beryl turned to face the Captain, sleek shades glossing over in the bar’s lighting. “Still, I’d like to hear more specifics from you about what exactly you want to get accomplished.” Abzerute Koldar FrostOOC -- Very, very sorry for the wait. A lot of unexpected stuff happened, but I'm good now!

(I just realized it was my turn! My apologies guys! Also, I think now would be a good enough time to wrap things up!)
The Human evidently agreed to being an assistant to the mission Koldar embarked upon. He asked Koldar what he wanted to get done, to which the Arcosian Captain replied, "There's several matters that need taken care of. Many of my soldiers need their pay on board the ship I'm captain of, as well as the need to get the ship repaired, and establish a new base of operations here for the Empire until Planet Arcose can be brought back to life. There have been plenty of rumors in my life time concerning people restoring planets with intricate matters, like reigniting the cores of the planets and making the environment hospitable to a living entity, if they need air to breathe to begin with, and water to sustain themselves... So, to wrap it up, there's an entire list to cover, and if you have a base of operations here on the planet, I'd like to explore it as I think we've stayed here long enough," Koldar explained, placing a couple hundred zeni on the table underneath his glass.
He stood up and gestured for the Human to lead him and possibly Abzerute to the place, if he was willing. Though he was weaker, it was the sense of providing a welcoming, but suggestive nature to his newly found allies that he was emitting to the two. It was a reflex that Koldar had built up over the years in service as a military leader and wasn't meant to be 'demanding' of them.
(Short post, but ending on a strong note doesn't need to be lengthy! I'll take zeni for this thread!)

The bronze Arcosian shrugged at the dark skinned human's questions concerning the PTO. "At the time it seemed a good idea, given that it was an Arcosian family that were in control of the Planet Trade Organisation back then. It was beneficial as it allowed the Empire to expand its borders and forces through the actions of the PTO, without having to expend much effort on its own part." he explained with a shrug.
He gave a chuckle at the humans request concerning Earth however. "Have no fear, I personally have no desire to set foot near Earth let alone destroy it. My concerns right now are dealing with the current situation with the Arcosian Empire's remains and then the Saiyan Empire afterwards." Abzerute said to assure Beryl. When the Captain gave his list of requirements, and began to stand up, the bronze Arcosian did the same. "Currently I've procured myself a location near the library due to my ongoing research into the biological weapon the Saiyan Empress used on Arcose." he informed him.
"It would do us no good to bring the planet back to life with that Tree of theirs still embedded within it... for now, Arcosians can still survive on it as we can survive in the vacuum of space, which is what Arcose effectively is right now... but I see where you're coming from." he said with a nod to Koldar. "I will personally continue to secure my funding from my old accounts from Arcose, hopefully soon enough to procure myself a proper structure in which to establish myself, and no doubt any guests that decide to visit." he said, nodding to the two men before he began to take his leave. "Till we meet again."
Exiting thread, would like zeni for this one :3

Judging from what Koldar was saying, there really was a lot to do. Being a Captain, it was to be expected that Koldar had forces working under him, but Beryl didn’t know that Koldar had a ship of his own as well. However, the thing needed to be repaired, meaning that until then, the three of them had to find somewhere they could call as a base of operations. “I wouldn’t exactly call it a base of operations, but I do have a ship,” Beryl started. “And it’s a pretty big one too, enough to comfortably house five people. Ever since things started going to hell on Earth, my ship’s basically been my home.” A shrug lifted the young man’s lean shoulders. “But I’m fine with showing you my ship, Koldar. I can send you the coordinates, or I guess you could just use your scouter to find me specifically.” Since his power level was on the higher end, Beryl figured that Koldar would be able to easily filter out lower power levels with his scouter. Abzerute’s responses caught Beryl’s attention next. “So, the PTO was just an easy way for the Arcosian Empire to get more turf, but since it sounds to me like they didn’t keep an eye on them closely enough. That or they just didn’t care what the PTO did so long as it produced results,” the ki researcher mused, shaking his head in clear disagreement. “However, I’m glad to know that you aren’t going to be targeting Earth,” Beryl muttered, still eyeing Abzerute. Still, there was a bit of skepticism in his voice. “Anyways, I think Koldar has a point; we should discuss all of this somewhere else. How does my ship sound?” He then turned towards the two Arcosian males, large shades glossing over in the light. “You two know how to find me. I’ll be at my ship whenever you decide to come on over.” With that, the human nodded once before making his way out of the bar. As much as it looked like he was keeping his cool, Beryl very much felt the opposite; he couldn’t believe that he was actually agreeing to help the Arcosian Empire of all things! Although it felt so wrong, he figured that he was still doing the right thing: giving aid to people who desperately needed it. At least, that’s what he hoped. OOC -- I would like PL for this please.
