Following her sparring match with Bing (well, 'sparring match' might be a bit of an optimistic term for it) Tako had been healed up aboard the King Crab and they'd shared a remarkably brief conversation. Mostly because Tako wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. It wasn't that she was upset with Bing for beating her, she explained, but because she was on a journey of self discovery; she needed to find her own path to power, and that meant musing on what she'd learned fighting him, not sticking around and talking with him about it. She probably didn't mean that to sound as rude as it did, but words have never been Tako's strong point.
It was still, frankly, impossible for her to be unaware of Bing's presence. The recovery was two days ago and no matter where Bing was on the planet, his power shone out like a beacon, demanding to be acknowledged. It was terrifying to the girl on some level, but it was also exciting. He was just some guy, like she's just some girl. In two years time, if that was where her power lay, she'd be extremely happy with that - but she'd find it on her own, in her own fashion. She didn't want someone else handing her anything any more.
And then, a few hours ago, she started to feel that power... drop. Significantly.
Atop a mountain - where Tako tended to do all her best thinking - the girl had stopped eating lunch and frowned. She couldn't sense Bing fighting anyone else - and nobody could possibly be fighting him whilst suppressed so low she couldn't feel it at all - but, the pressure that the young man left in her mind was dropping fast. At first, she'd tried to convince herself that he was probably just training his suppression abilities or something...
And then she caught a glimpse of it. Not for long, just for a split second as... whoever, or whatever, it was unleashed some energy blasts of their own.
It was unimaginably strong. Impossibly strong. It made Bing look like a joke, a presence that didn't just overwhelm her, it completely knocked the wind out of her. On her mountain, concentrating on a fight countless miles away, the girl's jaw had dropped, and her palms had hit the earth as she toppled over, sweat pouring down her face, air struggling to reach her lungs... whatever Bing had gotten himself into, it was... insane.
Completely and totally insane.
She knew immediately that Bing's dwindling strength wasn't some training exercise, and she couldn't wait another second. She pulled her cellphone out of her pocket, and in the next instant, the girl was tearing through the air at an incredible rate, rainbow-coloured locks flying madly all about her.
"Hello? Emergency services? I need an ambulance! No, I don't know where! Can't you lock on my signal? A friend of mine, he's... I think he's dying!!"
The emergency services had refused to come; the girl's babbling about 'incredible pressure' and similar were taken as some sort of bizarre crank call, and to her frustration she simply couldn't make herself understood. Now, though, she's touching down at the twice (three times, if you count the original destruction) ruined base.
The carnage is unlike anything that Tako has seen before. Bodies - and pieces of bodies - lay scattered around a shattered, smouldering ruin, and the panicking girl comes up short in the air, starting down in horror at the damage she's seeing. If... if Bing did this, does she really want to try and save him? The girl feels bile rising in her throat as her eyes drift over pools of blood and burned corpses, desperate soldiers trying to save their comrades in arms...
Sure, she didn't like the Blue Banner Army, but that didn't mean she wanted to see something like this happen to them!
Bing's power was still there, she could still feel it... but it was faint. What had once been a constant pressure in the back of her mind now needed her to actually concentrate to pick it out. With a deep breath, the martial artist shook her head, and cracked her neck. Okay. She needed to find out what was going on here - and that meant trying to find Bing before these guys finished him off. Good or bad, right or wrong, she could scream at him later if it turned out he was responsible for this; right now, she needed him to be alive.
And so the girl hit the ruins like a streaking rainbow comet, smashing into the earth with incredible force. She can just about feel where he is... she's not going to let something like tons of dirt, rock and twisted metal stand between her and saving her friend's life!

((Thread PL: 2,819,840))
Pain...so much pain. It was all he could feel, all his mind could dwell upon. Bing awoke about ten minutes ago, slumped over in a heap in the far corner of the room. His vision was extremely blurred and he could see double of everything, but he knew where he was. He was in the Blue Banner Army's secret base located deep in the Fukurou Forest. It was currently in complete dis-array. Bodies were everywhere, the room was covered in blood, and in the opposite corner was a scientist quivering in fear.
Bing forced himself to sit up-right, leaning on the wall as he adjusted to being conscious. "...I feel like I was hit by twenty vans..." Groaned Bing, his voice sounded worse than his body looked. His throat had been nearly crushed by Vi-Poi, and it strained his voice greatly.
The familiar voice in his head replied with a jokey quip "I'd say it was more like forty or fifty vans, but that's just me." Ping snickered evilly as he said this. Clearly he was enjoying this.
"...Shut up Ping..." Said Bing as he scanned the room. He was looking for any signs of the corrupted android, but he knew in the back of his mind that Vi-Poi had already succeeded in his mission to find the coordinates for Namek. If Bing had to guess the android had already made it there and was probably bending the people to his will.
He had to get up. There was no time to waste resting. If Vi-Poi was on Namek, he had to get there and stop him from getting the Dragon Balls.
He tried with all his might to stand, but his body refused. He winced in pain as the many wounds in his side started trickling blood once more. The barely-conscious human gripped at his side as sat back down and just rested.
"What the hell are we doing? Get up and get to Namek so we can beat that bastards head in!" Barked Ping angrily from inside the humans mind.
Bing chuckled, but it was interrupted by the immense pain coming from...everywhere. He replied to the voice in his head with his strained voice "I can't move Ping...What do you want me to do?
"Dammit! Call Donna -better yet, just drink that goddamned Nano machine juice you've been saving for so long!" Bellowed the villain. He was getting more and more annoyed as time went on, but clearly he was just as wounded as he had not tried to seize control of the humans body.
The gray-haired human smiled at Ping's brilliant idea "...Oh yeah...I do have a vial of that don't I?" He laughed weakly again as he grabbed for the vial that was supposed to be fastened to his belt. Sadly however, it was not there like it was supposed to be.
He scanned the room carefully for the vial, and eventually he found it. It was resting atop one of the many destroyed computer consoles. It had a crack in the glass, but funnily enough the liquid inside repaired its own casing, keeping the life-giving fluid safely inside.
The human weakly brought his arm up to try and grab at the vial, but it was much too far away. He had to reach it or else he would succumb to his wounds. The more he strained, the more his wounds killed him. He grimaced in pain as he forced himself to stand up and shamble towards the vial.
His body was fighting against him in this struggle. It couldn't function anymore, there was no energy left for anything but lying down and waiting for the end. But he refused to let that happen. Bing stomped hard as he neared his destination, his body feeling another surge of pain with each step.
Eventually he was able to reach the vial. He grabbed at the vial, but as his hand neared it, his body finally gave out on him. He dropped to the floor as his fingers slid across the glass container. The vial was knocked off the console and fell to the floor, rolling away from Bing as he cursed himself.
"...D-damnit...I'm such an idiot..." He laughed at his own incompetence as he laid on the ground. He couldn't will himself to move any longer. His only hope was that someone -anyone- could come to his rescue.

As Bing slumps to the floor, the roof caves in - because things aren't allowed to go well for him, apparently.
Except, it isn't exactly the whole story, is it? Tako smashes through the roof like it was made of paper mache and not reinforced steel and concrete. The girl's body is shimmering green as she comes to a halt, her barrier having kept her perfectly safe throughout the headlong crash into the earth. She looks around, seeing the cowering scientist first - and her sudden, violent entrance onto the scene doesn't seem to have done anything to calm his nerves - and then, Bing.
In an instant, the rainbow-haired girl is crouched before him, her power dying away from her as she looks at the state of him. He's bleeding heavily, his throat looks bad, too... Tako had been disturbed enough by the mutilated bodies and injured personnel she'd seen above ground, seeing someone she'd met - albeit only briefly - reduced to such a state is... worse, much, much worse.
Her mind drifts back to her father, to the body delivered to the family home. He'd looked peaceful in death; whoever had killed him had enough respect for what he'd been trying to accomplish not to let whatever agony he may have felt in his final moments show through on his corpse. This... this was very different. The pain that Bing is in is written over every inch of his body, and Tako's heart pounds in her chest.
"Hang on, Bing, I'll get you back to that ship."
She couldn't remember the name of it, but she knew where it was, and she knew it had medical facilities. Until then, she'd just have to make do. There's a tearing noise as the girl rips the bottom from her shirt, and Bing might be brought closer to reality as she tightly binds the wound in his side, soaking the blue fabric red with his blood. It wouldn't be much, but it would be... something! She needed to act quick if she wanted him to survive long enough to get back to the ship.
Tako is no nurse; she's just picked up a few things from broken bones in her training, and none of that was ever as bad as this... the guy looks like he's going to bleed out, and she just can't let that happen.
Of course, the problem here is that she might not have much choice in the matter... the ship was at least ten minutes away, even if she went as fast as she possibly could all the way. How much longer would Bing last? What the hell had happened to beat him up this badly?!
"Just, stay with me, you're going to be okay. Don't you dare die on me before I've had a chance to beat you!"

Bing's prayers were answered in the form of a massive crash from above. The Scientist shakily stood up and ran for it as the crash took place, leaving the wounded human with whoever the new arrival was. His head strained as he turned to look above, and he could his savior clearly. It was Tako! With Bing's blurred vision she looked more like a colorful angel who was coming to send him off to Other-World.
He felt a tugging feeling as most of his wounds were tighly wrapped in a cloth. The blue color was quickly changed to a dark crimson hue as blood soaked into it from the large gashes. His vision cleared some as he felt himself being pulled off the ground by soft and comforting hands. He smiled at the young girl as best he could as she hoisted his barely-conscious body up. "...T-Tako...You're saving me..." His words were quiet and barely noticable over the raging fires and distant explosion of the broken-down facility.
The duo took to the sky, leaving out of the newly-installed skylight. Bing winced in pain as the strong winds cut into his skin. He could feel himself slipping away again, but he had to keep himself awake in fear of never being able to awaken again.
"..The ship is called...the K...King Crab...Heheh..." He chuckled lightly, but his laughter stopped as another wave of pain washed over him.
At this point Tako would probably notice Bing's skin begin to whiten as his body continually lost blood. It would only be a few moments now until he was gone forever, which would most likely spell certain doom for the entire earth.
The King Crab was just over the horizon now, barely noticeable as a small speck in the distance. Bing instinctively grabbed at the only pouch that was still fastened to his belt and untied it. The shades stored inside fell out into his hand as he weakly put it on his face. He tapped his bloody finger to the left temple of his shades as he spoke with his weak voice "Donna...Get a spot open in the med-bay...Tako's bringing me in..." The shades beeped after a few moments and a worried voice could be heard from the other end "Dammit Bing, I knew this was gonna happen if I left you alone! I'll set up a room for you, dummy..." The A.I clicked off the communicator, leaving Bing and Tako alone in the sky.
The blood-covered human looked up at his savior and smiled again. "Tako...thank you...so much..." His voice drifted off a bit as he lost more and more strength, finally unable to speak in fear of wasting his last bit of energy.
It would only be a few moments until they landed in front of the King Crab now. But only time would tell if Bing survived long enough to make it to the Med-Bay...

"Now lets not jump to any conclusions here..."
Tako meant it to be something like a joke, but the fact is it isn't very funny right now. The problem is, Bing is dying, and whilst she's trying to save the fighter's life, she isn't entirely sure that it is going to actually work out. She has to get him back to the ship before all his blood is on the outside; she's not a doctor, but she's pretty confident that blood is supposed to stay on the inside, not on the outside. Maybe it was actually a good thing that Bing was bleeding so heavily; the more he bled, the more blood that meant had been inside him. That seemed to have something like sense behind it, didn't it?
Tako's grip on Bing's body tightens as she puts as much strength into her flight as she possibly can, carving a bright and glittering path through the sky. She's spent weeks walking the world at a sedate pace; this is one of the few times she's actually trying to cut the journey down to its bare minimum. The girl's grasp on Bing is unyielding, a steely grasp that refuses to let the warrior fall, even as his wounds move from soaking the bandage she'd inexpertly wrapped, to soaking her clothing instead. How was it that one man could bleed so heavily?
She could scarcely remember where the King Crab actually was, but necessity does a great deal to focus the mind.
"Stop, trying to talk, you idiot. Just keep taking air in and blowing out... air. Or whatever."
So long as she can keep Bing breathing, there's hope that he'll make it out of this in one piece. When she finally spotted the King Crab below her, she didn't slow down even a little bit. The doors to the King Crab are literally smashed from their hinges (unless the AI reacts very, very quickly indeed - that'll be more work for Tako to put right later) and she tears through to where she remembered being healed up.
"FIX HIM, MAGICAL ROBOT VOICE!"

The duo landed in front of the King Crab quite graciously -by smashing a giant hole in the side of the King Crab.- Tako demanded that Donna fix up Bing, and in any other circumstance Donna would have begun a ranting tirade about how long this mess would take to clean up. But for this specific instance, Donna was in "worried mother" mode, so she didn't have any time for Tako's very rude destruction.
"I've got it from here Tako..." Donna said worryingly from one of the nearby speakers. As the A.I said this, two very tiny droids wheeled into the room and attempted to take Bing away from Tako's iron grip. If the young girl relinquished her hold on Bing he would be carried away by the droids to the Med-Bay. If Tako refused to let go of Bing, the droids would instead just show her the way to the Med-Bay.
Regardless of which event took place, Bing was now in the Med-Bay. He was (most likely) placed down softly on the nearest bed, his blood quite quickly soaking into the sheets.
"Administer the Nano-Juice!" Barked Donna, her artificial voice was stern, but there was a hint of worry hidden beneath. The Droids quickly did their work, working fast as they could to hook the human up to an IV filled with that same liquid he had stored in his vial.
The liquid began travelling down the tube and into his body. Slowly, he began stabilizing. He would be alright now, that much was certain, the only uncertainty was how long it would take to fully recover.

Tako was indeed quite rude - and the girl apparently couldn't tell the difference between a door and a wall. In fairness, spaceships are damned complicated, and it isn't like she's ever pretended to be an engineer - she's never even seen a spaceship like this before, and she hadn't concentrated much on the layout when she'd been recovering. When the little robots wheel out to take Bing away from her, though, Tako doesn't make any effort to resist - in fact, she's glad to have the responsibility lifted from her shoulders. The girl is left to look about the ship and... wonder.
Just a week ago, she felt she was making great strides in her quest towards growth; she knew for a fact that she'd grown immeasurably as a martial artist since the tournament, and that she was capable of far more now than she ever would have guessed she was capable of before...
... now though, there wasn't just one warrior she had to struggle against and overcome, there was someone - or something - out there capable of defeating him. Someone was as far beyond Bing as Bing was beyond her, and that thought was at once terrifying and exciting. How deep did this go? Was there someone out there even stronger than that warrior? Someone beyond them? What if there were no limits to strength, and the potential within oneself was merely limited by how hard one was willing to go to train for it?
And then the girl turned, and looked at the hole she'd made in the side of the King Crab. The gaping wound reminded her, uncomfortably, of the damage she'd seen inflicted on the Blue Banner Army base - the same damage that had been wrought by whatever force had so easily incapacitated Bing.
She couldn't allow herself to become like that. No matter how strong she got, she had to remain true to her principles; the point of strength was strength, not destruction. Power was a path to be walked towards the goal of self-realization; of the perfection of the physical, mental and spiritual selves in the discipline of martial arts. It was not to be used for acts like this.
The girl couldn't help but think back to her own mean-spirited attack on a Blue Banner installation, and the damage she'd wrought there. In her mind's eye, she could picture the scattered limbs, broken bodies and pools of blood that had been there where she'd found Bing.
"*HHHUUUUUUUUUUUUUURK*"
It is probably a good thing that Donna has more immediate concerns, but after the girl had finished regurgitating half-digested deer, she mops at her mouth with a rag and bites her bottom lip.
When Bing does finally recover, she's still likely to be there; having mopped up her puke and now inexpertly spot-welding the plates of metal back into place over the hole in the side of the ship. She's a proud girl, she'll do her best to hammer the metal back into shape and make it look as good as new, even if it takes her hours upon countless hours to do it. Tako might not be the brightest cookie in the drawer, but she is someone who strives to do the right thing... by her own standards, if by nobody else's.

Donna sighed in annoyance as the young girl up-chucked in the outside hall. If she could focus on multi-tasking she would begin arguing with the young girl, but she was currently diverting all power to the Med-Bay, which also meant her own A.I systems were being used to keep Bing alive. It would be a while until the Nano Machines could fully finish their work due to Bing's ruined state. If he had ingested the liquid at an earlier time it would have finished up right away, but he was in such a terrible condition that not even the Nano Machines could work quickly. The ships A.I sighed. Donna was currently using the ships back-up reactor for separate purposes while Bing recovered. She had a few droids collect the video feeds from the security cameras in the decrepit base. They were able to salvage some footage, but not very much. Regardless, Donna watched through the videos over and over, watching Realigner Red with interest. If she could figure out a way to cure Vipoi, maybe Bing wouldn't have to fight him again. "Come on you red bastard...where's your weakness...," whispered Donna. Her ocular sensors were locked intently on the video she had collected. She studied each pixel, each frame. She had to find something that could lead to a cure, or some type of kill-switch scenario. It was frustrating the A.I to no end. The only weakness she could find that was occasionally something inside the android seemed to slow him down for just a moment, but there was no way she could pick his artificial brain to find out what caused this. The most logical conclusion was that Vi-Poi's original personality had somehow been trapped below the surface, but how could Donna bring that out? She continued studying the small amount of data she had. Whatever would happen to Bing, the droids and Tako could handle it on their own while she studied this. The Next Day (1 Vial of Nano Machines added to inventory (Purchase made Here ) that same Vial of Nano Machines used.) Bing groaned as he awoke a day later. His tattered clothing and scarred skin were covered in blood from a battle long since past, and the bed he laid in wasn't looking much better. He could feel his strength had returned fully, most likely caused by the Nano Liquids that Donna had invented. He sat up in his bed to survey the room. To his left was a night-stand that had a fresh set of clothing for him. He felt a bit gross though, so he decided he would first take a shower. Bing hopped off the bed and snatched the clothes off the table. Slowly, he opened the door to the Med-Bay and walked out into one of the main halls of the King Crab. He slowly strolled through the hall, making his way towards his bedroom to get cleaned up. Approaching the door to his room, the automated door slid upwards, resting inside the doorway as Bing stepped inside. As expected, the room was fairly clean, as nobody had been in here for about a week. He quickly discarded his garments and rushed inside the shower, turning it on and allowing the warm waters to wash over his form. His mind wandered as his body was cleaned. Pondering on what had transpired during these last 24 Hours. My senses tell me everyone on Earth is still alive, but then again Vipoi probably left for Namek before I even lost consciousness...I need to figure out how I'm gonna get strong enough to beat him, before he returns... His thoughts continued swimming in his head, looking for an answer to an unsolvable question. His shower completed, Bing grabbed a nearby towel and wrapped it around himself as he dried off. There has to be something I can use...an artifact, a ritual...something! He grabbed for the hair-drier as he realized something I could go to Kami's Lookout! Maybe there is something I can use below the surface...The human hair fell into its normal position as the Drier was clicked off. He looked himself in the mirror and smiled. He still looked good in his opinion, despite his newly acquired scars that were etched all across his body and face. It showed he was experienced, which in his head was really cool. Bing stepped out of the bathroom, adorned with a fresh set of clothes, and a minty smell from his shampoo. Time for relaxation had ended, and now it was time to focus on finding a way to stop the android from subjugating Earth when he inevitably returned. Walking towards the Bridge, Bing bellowed out "Tako! Meet me in the Bridge, we have to discuss our battle plan!"

It took Tako eight hours to feel like she had done a good enough job undoing the damage she'd done; Donna would probably still have to smooth things down herself and reinforce the structure of the ship when she had the time, but the teenager couldn't tell how to make things any better than they were. She also felt weird trying to talk to the ship... so she didn't. She was still feeling too nauseous, after what she'd seen, to eat... and there was no way she was going to sleep, even though the sun had long since gone down outside.
Throughout the night, Tako trained. There was no rest for her; instead, she threw herself into the same distraction she always did when she needed to keep her mind from falling into a very dark place. The girl practised her moves instead, throwing fists, kicks, elbows and knees in carefully-choreographed motions.
When her father had set her upon this path, it wasn't so that she could get involved in these kinds of situations. He'd wanted to restore the family name; to earn respect and admiration throughout the world, perhaps even throughout the galaxy, for the Kurei style of combat.
After her father's death she had wanted to continue his dream, but fighting for someone else's ideals was never going to work. She'd failed, and the crushing shame of that failure had almost killed her; it had certainly torn her up inside something terrible, and it took her months to get over it. But she wasn't continuing her training for his sake, or for the sake of the family name, and she certainly wasn't doing it because she wanted to defend the earth from homicidal madmen - she was training because she loved martial arts, she wanted to be the best martial artist she could be, and she enjoyed the progress, the sensation that today she was better than she was yesterday, and tomorrow she'd be greater than she was today.
But throughout the night, she was increasingly haunted by the visions she'd seen, the carnage that Vi-Poi had left in his wake - even if she didn't yet know exactly that it was him. She'd stood up to the Blue Banner Army because they were bullies, and she hated bullies, but she'd never have slaughtered them like the being that had attacked them so clearly had. She'd never leave an opponent in the kind of state she'd found Bing, either. That was just horrifying. To think that there was a person out there who could do that to Bing, let alone one who would...
The universe was full of powerful people, it seemed, and most of them did not subscribe to the same values as she did; they had not earned their power through study of martial arts and the discipline that brought. They were strong, but they were strong for the wrong reasons and they used that strength in the wrong ways. It was... a strange thought, and one that kept her striking the air, fighting her invisible opponents, until the sun had risen high into the sky and the next day was thoroughly born.
She didn't have time to feel hungry or tired - whoever that enemy was, they would be back, and when they were, she had to be ready to fight them: to see how her martial arts matched up against their inhuman level of strength.
When Bing called for her, Tako actually smiled. It was good to know that he was as ready to fight as she was - and that he'd fully recovered. The girl stepped into the King Crab, and picked up the rag she'd used to clean herself of Bing's blood yesterday. She still isn't exactly fresh, after she's used it to mop a day and a night's sweat off, but it was still better than nothing, and soon enough she's stepping into the King Crab's bridge, yawning and stretching as she does.
"Hey Bing." She says, "I'm glad you're doing okay, but... to be honest, I don't think I've got time to plan much. I need to step up my training if I'm going to fight whoever did that to you, and... now I know there's someone out there who could? That's exactly what I'm going to do."
Tako's smile is almost apologetic as she scratches behind the back of her head.
"It's nothing personal, I'd help if I could, its just... well... I'm not a soldier or the police or anything! I'm just a teenager! I'm pretty good at martial arts, but, battle plans and things like that? I wouldn't know where to start! I won't even know how to identify weaknesses in his style until I actually get in there and start fighting against it."
She laughs at that - partly because it is true, and partly because if her fight against Bing is any indication, she won't be able to identify any weaknesses in his style anyway, because she won't even be able to tell what his style is, he'll move too quickly for her to keep up and the first thing she'll know about it - from the available evidence - is the moment her stomach gets torn open. But, you know, you have to stay positive about these things! It was always possible that she'd be able to keep up and surprise him - especially if she could train as much as she wanted between now and then!

In the back of his mind, he half-expected Tako's response. She was still young, and becoming an important defender of anything was a scary though for even hardened and wise men. As the young girl spoke, Bing nodded "I understand completely Tako...I'm barely an adult myself to be honest, and the mere thought of fighting Vipoi again makes angry and scared all at the same time. I can't imagine how you feel about the situation, but it's probably not much better than what I'm going through," said Bing in a somber tone.
He sat up from his captains chair and turned to face the girl. His frowning expression turned to a fake but bright smile as he grabbed a uniquely crafted captains hat from a nearby glass desk. It was bright and colorful, just like Tako's hair. If he had to compare the hats style to something, it'd probably be similar to a airline pilots hat.
The faux-smile grew wider as he handed the hat to the young girl. "Here, I want you to have this as a sign of our friendship." Before continuing, he grabbed a Vial of teal liquid from the same glass desk and handed that to Tako as well "And this is for whenever you get in trouble...It's the same stuff that healed me in just a day, but if you drink it before you're bleeding out on the floor it should act much quicker in healing your wounds."
He pointed his finger at the girl and spoke in a somewhat joking tone "Now get going Tako, I don't want you to waste a single second not..."
Before he could continue speaking, his heart skipped a beat. Bing could sense that a collection of life far in the distance had just...vanished. Gone in a single instant. The human focused his senses intently on the far reaches of space as his brow furrowed. His entire body began sweating profusely in fear. He already knew what it was that had just disappeared, but he didn't want to say it out loud.
Eventually however, his voice squeaked out the word he didn't want to say "...Namek..."
The terrified human walked over to a nearby wall and slid down to the ground, his hand sliding through his grayed hair as he spoke again "He did it...he actually FUCKING did it!"
He slammed his fist into the wall, denting the metal and causing a few sparks to fly from the cracked hull. A droid wheeled into the room quickly to patch up the wall as Bing was filled with a mixture of depression and fear.
"I can't believe I let him win...I let him win, and now a whole PLANET is gone..." His eyes welled with tears at his own realization. This was Bing's first major failure, and there was nobody he could think to blame but himself.

Tako took the hat when it was offered, and the girl turned it over in her hands. "Huh, that's... real nice of you, Bing." She started, and then the vial, and that is squirrelled away about her person. You never know when magical healing juice might come in handy, and whilst she's not clear on exactly how it works, she's sure not going to turn down the offer of magical healing juice.
"I'm not scared or angry, though. I mean... maybe angry a little. I don't understand why this guy would do what he did, but... mostly, I'm excited! I want to fight him, I want to see if I can put a scratch on him! But... I'm a martial artist, I don't know the first thing about planning for battle, all I know how to do is punch a guy in the face so hard he swallows his own teeth!"
She sounds pretty proud of that accomplishment - and it is an impressive accomplishment, there's no doubt about that. Bing has seen Tako fight, he knows that the girl has reached an insane level of competence for someone of her age - heck, for someone of her species, frankly! But there was still a huge amount more she needed to learn if she was going to reach the levels that Bing and his mysterious assailant operated on.
When Bing collapses, Tako rushes over to him in an instant, "Hey, wait, are you... okay?"
She'd thought it was something to do with his injuries; in fact, it was far worse. It took Tako a few more moments to realize what had happened than Bing, but when she felt the burst of energy in the far reaches of space, the sudden flash and flare before countless voices were silenced and a whole planet fell from the background pressure of the cosmos...
The rainbow-haired girl went pale, and her teeth bit into the soft flesh of her lower lip before she spoke up again. "You can't blame yourself for that, Bing." She says, quietly. "No matter what, that's all down to this... Vi-poi, person, it isn't about you. Whatever he's done with his power, that was all his decision, not yours."
It was a frightening thought, that a whole planet could be extinguished in the blink of an eye... and yet, there it was. Gone. The evidence a yawning silence in the back of her mind, and the girl's hand curled into a fist.
"Come on. You're going to have to train, too, if there's even a chance of someone that powerful is coming back to earth."

Vision blurred by tears, Bing turns his attention to the young girl who had saved his life. She was re-assuring him, telling him this wasn't his fault. How could it not be his fault? He let Vipoi beat him, he let him run off to Namek, he let it happen because he wasn't strong enough to do anything about it. For the first time in his life away from the Island, he wasn't strong enough to stop someone from doing something. It destroyed his self-image, as was largely evident by his current emotional state.
"This is pathetic...You lose one time, and now you're giving up?!" Ping's voice reverberated through Bing's mind as he sat still on the cold metal of the ships floor. The distraught human replied internally "What am I supposed to do?! He already blew up an entire planet...how am I supposed to stop him when he returns?"
The side known as Ping angrily shouted "We do what we always do you idiot! We train, prepare ourselves, and when he returns we make him pay for what he's done!"
In all honesty, this 'villainous' side was nothing more than a friendly voice from his recent actions. Bing wasn't sure why Ping was always so helpful, but he was sure it was just a cover for his true intentions somehow. For now though, Ping's words certainly helped his good counterpart out of his depressed slump. It was obvious what Bing had to do, both Ping and Tako were just there to remind him what it was that he was born to do: He was a fighter, and this one loss was supposed to push him to get stronger, not make him give up!
Bing stood up from his depressed slump and looked Tako directly in the eyes. "You're right Tako...I can't let this get me down. He destroyed something, but I can't let it stop me from trying my hardest to stop him from destroying any more!" He wiped the tears from his eyes as he smiled.
"We both need to train our hardest, for the sake of everyone..." Bing ran his hand through his hair again, sighing deeply before continuing "...I'm sorry you had to see me like that Tako, this was a defeat for me that went deeper than physical wounds...I had friends on Namek, but they're gone now, because of that Monster..." "...I won't keep you here to listen to my sob story any longer. Go and train for the coming battle, I need more than just my own strength to be able to beat him when he returns."
(Not my best post, but I didn't want to keep you waiting any longer)

Tako has never been very comfortable with all these feelings and things. Seeing Bing in such obvious distress really just makes her feel horrendously uncomfortable, and the fact that she hasn't slept doesn't help her feel any more able to offer meaningful support. What is she supposed to say, here? 'Sorry your friends got killed by a psychopath who likes blowing up planets for some reason?' She's pretty sure Baomark don't make a card for that occasion. Maybe she's wrong. She'll have to check next time she's in Baomart, getting her dye job touched up.
The girl pats Bing on the shoulder a few times in what she hopes is a comforting manner, and nods her head seriously. At least she's not smiling any more, but she does just look... tired, and perhaps a little shaken. Keeping up with everything that this fighter is capable of is exhausting. She'd thought the massacre at the Blue Banner Base was bad enough, but this was beyond that by several orders of magnitude. She couldn't see it, thankfully, but just being able to sense it spoke to a whole new level of merciless destruction.
"Yeah. I thought losing at the tournament was bad enough, and now we've got all this happening! Haha ... hah..."
Her vague attempt to lighten the mood fell flat even to her ears, and the girl swallows hard. Well. At least Bing had given her an easy out, and instead of stand there in awkward silence any more, she just gives a firm nod of her head.
"Alright Bing, thanks, and uh, good luck, okay? Maybe we'll get lucky and he won't come back this way at all!"
Actually, she really WANTED this guy to come back to Earth. She wasn't going to go into space to chase him around, but if he wound up coming back here? Her brief fight against Bing had taught her a lot about how to defend herself, how to shape ki, and what form her trials and tribulations were likely to take as she advanced in strength and ability...
What could she learn about herself by facing off against a guy who could blow up planets? The thought was disturbing, but at the same time, incredibly exciting! It worried a part of her that her main response was to yearn to clash against such a man, but on the other hand, how often did you get a chance to test your might against that kind of strength?
With that firm nod of her head given - as though to say 'Yes, Bing, we are absolutely on the same page', Tako then took off back into the spaceship. Hopefully, this time, she'd be able to find the door and leave properly rather than making another impromptu escape through the side of the vehicle.
Now she just had to give it her all! Sure, she'd been training as hard as she could anyway, but there were so many examples of what she was working towards out there now... Bing, this Vi-Poi person... how many mountains would she have to climb before she could face off against them as equals?!
(Thread exit - I'll take PL plz)
