Unexpected Visitor

This was not the first time Kouda had entered the strange, Namekian city. Unlike the large metropolises Kouda had ventured through on different planets, the Namekian Capitol was as peaceful and serene as one of the island villages. Several Namekians walked up and down the pristine streets, tranquil smiles on each of their faces. Although it was hard to tell, they seemed quite excited about something. Kouda had stationed his mobile C.R.A.B. lab at the mouth of the city while he left to explore the city and meet any namekians willing to help him. Garbed in the purple cloak the Namekian Elder from Nail Island gave him, Kouda approached many docile Namekians. Some of them had recognized him since his last visit. No doubt he was an alien sight at first.

Kouda walked up to a nearby namekian father and his children as they passed out a bean like food to people passing by. It seemed at first that he was a sustenance trader but Kouda quickly realized that the people taking food did not need to exchange any form of goods or services for it.

"Quite odd," Kouda thought, scratching the side of his with a clawed finger. It seemed that Moori Capitol was functioning on whatever system these Namekians were using for their society. The green father turned and smile at Kouda as he approached.

"Oh, hello! I've never seen you before. I usually see every face that passes through this city. Welcome to our capitol. My name is Onica. These are my sons: Har and Moni," the father said in a pleasant tone as he gestured his hand to the children cowering behind the man's back, "don't take offense to their frightened state, they're not used to seeing, um, people that are not common from here."

Kouda raised his hand, "None taken. I understand. Is this food what Namekians normally eat?"

"Well it is very common in this region so yes. They are really easy to harvest" the man said, pointing at the bins carrying multicolored beans in front of him.

Kouda spurred on a glove as he began picking the beans and dropping them into vials which he stored again underneath his cloak. He would look into their dietary purposes and match it with any Namekian data he found later.

"Say, are you here to see the new guru? He's here in town today. Many people have traveled to the city just to see him! They even say he's been unlocking the power of the city's strongest defenders."

"Guru? Ah, yes. This guru you speak...he is the spiritual leader of your people, or this entire region perhaps."

"Guru is the wisdom of all of Namek. The last Guru passed away recently but before he did, he chose a successor. The new guru came to visit us today."

"'Wisdom of all of Namek'? Quite interesting. I should take a look into this 'guru'," Kouda thought. He finally broke his silent thought by thanking the kind Namekian man.

"I will find this, Guru, then. Until we meet again, Onica..."

The man waved at Kouda as followed the stream of people heading towards the center of the capitol. There was a strange, white namekian walking directly ahead of him in the crowd. The guru could wait. This namekian had caught Kouda's interest. As he approached the namekian, Kouda saw that he shared many of the same features as the rest of the Namekians besides the blaring albino complexion.

Kouda walked up next to the tall, albino namekian as they continued down the crowd.

"Greetings. My name is Kouda. I am a doctor from a faraway place called Arcose. I have been studying mutation and genetics of several species in the galaxy throughout my life. My research has brought me to this land to collect information on your people and their physiology. Your white complexion...it is unlike any feature I have observed on this planet before...it is quite intriguing..."
