Again, Lady Death proves herself interesting to Zuni by NOT obliterating the young Prince when he dared to step forward and challenge her. For someone with the name 'Lady Death', she's really proving remarkably restrained - at least for a Saiyan - and... and was that laughter? Did she just LAUGH?
Zuni felt a shiver run down her spine, and she wasn't sure if it was because she was scared of what she might be about to see, or if she was just getting more and more excited. Chaos was, naturally, something she pretty much lived for... but this woman was rapidly defying the stereotypes she'd come to believe about her species.
Then Vennel came into view, at last, and the two began to exchange words. In the greatest tradition of Saiyan politics, the words would soon be entirely pointless and none of them would hit half as hard with their arguments as they would with force of arms... but it was entertaining enough. Zuni couldn't help but find amusement in that - both women clearly wanted the same thing. In any other species in any other part of the galaxy, they might have been able to come to some peaceful accord, settle their differences and realize that - maybe, just maybe - it would be more sensible if they tried to take the burden of leadership of an entire Empire on two pairs of shoulders instead of one.
But this is Vegeta, damnit, and that means there is only one possible outcome.
There was an appreciative whistle from Zuni as the pair finally began to trade blows. As has been mentioned perhaps to excess, Zuni has been around for a long while - she's seen many fights, and many fighters. What she's rarely seen, though, are people capable of moving with the kind of speed and power demonstrated by both combatants in just the opening salvo of the fight. The man next to her is completely lost - he has no idea what just happened... and for her, it isn't much better. Though she's able to just about keep her eye on the ball, she knows for sure that if either of them had come at her with that kind of strength, there wouldn't have been time to even begin mustering a counterattack - not in her current state at least...
... she really wasn't in a hurry to find out what it would be like in her fully powered state, either, for that matter.
"You weren't wrong." She complimented the man next to her, who just sort of squinted, "What? Has it begun?"
And then the shockwave of the impact from Zucceta's leg to Vennel's torso struck home, and a gust of wind blew across the crowd, whipping their hair into a frenzy. Zuni finally couldn't hold it in any longer.
"Whoo-hoo! YEAH!" She cried from the sidelines, whooping and laughing like, well, a little bit like a monkey. Not exactly the dignified bearing of a true Saiyan warrior - but what can you expect from a woman with ribbons in her tail, right? "Beat the CRAP out of each other, you two! YEAH! We want to see some blood already!"
It is a sentiment which might well be shared by most of the Saiyan crowd but... perhaps not with such exultant glee. Zuni couldn't care less about honour, or the nobility of the fight... she's a DEMON, after all. She just can't help but want to see the violence now that the tension was finally being unleashed.

Icarus didn't like the look of any of this and was quick to consider his queens words. There was a plan that need to unfold should any of this lead to a undesired ending. He was for the moment though a little in awe of the fight as things slowly got interesting. He'd take his eyes only a few moments from the fight to wave down one of his observer drones taking in the fight. Giving it a momentary order to search out for spilled blood as well or DNA left behind should opportunity present itself. He felt a little bad given the circumstances for seizing a way of taking advantage of it but the opportunity was too good. If it presented itself that was anyway. For now he'd just give it the order programmed in while the other two observed for data and film it would watch for opportunity.
Once it'd fly away he'd open a channel with his built in communicator back to his lab. the audible Kikiki's in his ear were canceled out to the outside. A benefit of a built in scouter no one could hear what people were saying to him even if they pressed ear to his. He could see a small display in front of him a saibaman in front of a terminal. A pink one with several green ones behind it. He could see what the camera back at base could see as a little screen hovering in front of him thinks to his eye adjustment and communicator. Sorta like a scouter video options but adjuste for a androids internal use. Of course anyone looking his way if they noticed his eyes s moving about would think he was looking at nothing. As it was more or less just perceived to him as being there. The real tech going on within the eye itself. Just appearing different to himself for personal convenience. He'd mutter very quietly letting himself sink back into a lightly growing crowd to hopefully observe more easily in a silence and out of sight of any powerful observers. His words were near deathly silent. "Kikikik..kikiki. Kikikikikiki." It was weird mimicking there forms of communication basic as it was. But learning to do as they could helped heighten what he could do with them as well as train them for. There were by all means not nearly as dull as your run of the meal mix of green weed saibamen.
After his brief words they scrambled the pink one to a more secure location for its area so it could more viably escape. The others got to their marks as well. Some with little hacking devices so small and below anyone of note it was almost as if they weren't even there. Even if someone did take note they were tagged with patches on their little shoulders to signify they were on official work direct from the throne. Vennel could scold him later if she disapproved... If there was a later. They would set of various back ups while Icarus would set off the main act of what he had planned should he be required too. Although it was sad to think of that... At least he had his personal archives. And hope for his friend.
He'd accidentally bumped into lonesome as he tried easing into the crowd quietly. It was some blonde women? Perhaps... He couldn't tell the ton exactly but a saiyan maybe with discolored hair. Another on of them cheering on for the fight. Barbaric creatures they were so easily swayed to change loyalties no matter what was at cost. Saiyan loyalty seemed such a fragile thing. Perhaps it was non existent. Just a myth that in reality was a desire to wait for their own chance to take more more and more. Hungry to never stop like a beast if gluttony. He' merely give the girl a saddened look. Deep with sorrowful eyes and would begin heading further into the crowd. Wishing for something of a miracle. He began to mutter something just as he passed her. A old prayer. It was back from the war that fathers said for sons an sons for fathers. Wives for husbands and brothers to each other when they'd lost or feared losing someone most dear. By now words long forgotten. He was not a spiritual man but he said them for a saiyan of all things. Wishing her luck on all levels as sadness filled his face hoping for a miracle for his friend. That in the end she would stand tall over this challenger.

As it so turned out, Vennel's attempted counter ended in failure. Her arms, expecting to grab her opponent's knee firmly and plant her ass in the ground, whiffed at nothing but air. What should have been her time to display her power early on in the fight, ended up only serving as a tool to making a fool of herself, as she was struck by her foes metalic limb. The force of the impact to her spine and lower neck caused her head to snap back as her body was sent hurtling towards the ground below.
However, just before coming into contact with the city streets, she managed to catch herself in mid air, recovering from the fall. Her eye twitched, as her body snapped back around to look at her foe. Damn it, what was with these off-worlders and how did they get so powerful? She was bar none the strongest Saiyan on planet Vegeta, up until a few days ago. Now they all seemed to come in droves with battle powers that nearly blew her out of the water, no matter how hard she trained. She clenched her fists in anger, trying to relieve some of the building frustration that seemed to just keep piling on.
She needed a new plan of attack, and she didn't have a lot of time to dwell on it. Her body shot forward through the air, as she fired off a ki blast towards Zucceta. The ball of spiritual energy careened through the air, headed for it's target, with the Saiyan Queen not far behind it. The ki blast was the red herring, being the obvious feint or ploy, rather, in her attack. The blast would force her adversary to react, or simply take the attack. Meanwhile, should her opponent move out of the way, her goal was to correct her trajectory, and flank the royal contender, throwing a quick jab at her kidney.
It was a fairly telegraphed attack strategy, but not much different than Zucceta's own strategies. And after losing a good deal of energy in her failed attack earlier, she had to take things slower, or else end up simply exhausting herself when her full power would be needed later.

Zucceta smirks as her impact connects, her foe being sent crashing towards the streets below.
Her experiences on Earth were, much to her chagrin, serving her well. She would have never been this focused, cautious or powerful eight months ago, when she had first arrived on the blue planet which had caused her so much angst. She had grown as a person, although she was loathe to admit it.
Her right hand begins to swell with ki, her fingers and palm shimmering with a soft, subtle white energy, a low hum. Zucceta had expected something like the Queen's ki blast; just as the blast churns towards her, she punches her prosthetic forward, the metal arm puncturing and dispersing the ki's structure, her Furiosa only glowing slightly red from the impact.
The follow-up was also expected. Zucceta quickly slams her left knee up, hardened bone taking the brunt force of Vennel's jab. Zucceta grins, as her right hand continues to shimmer with colourless, potent energy.

The citizenry of Cacumber were, for the most part, curious in the fight that took place. Many of them stopping their daily going ons, to watch the fight that unfolded in the sky. On the one hand, many were anxious to see the usurper Vennel taken down, but on the other, the alternative was no better in their eyes. And then there were those in a smaller camp, who fell under the "supporter" branch, either favoring their current monarch as the first in a while who sat on the throne, or those who favored Zucceta, having heard the tails of her previous exploits and conquests. That, and the fight seemed to be at least more of a show than the "fight" between Vennel and the council, who had fallen in record time.
While the locals all stood and stared, watching the two Saiyan woman fight on roughly equal footing, Vennel watched as her plan unfolded. Her foe knocked aside her feint with relative ease, making use of her prosthetic limb to deflect the attack, dispersing the blast. And As Vennel quickly came upon her flank, Zucceta swivelled toward her and used her knee to stop the incoming fist. Vennel's arm felt as if it reverberated, a shockwave going from her fist up through her arm and dispersing through her body.
"Tch, how can she be this strong? Maybe her struggles on Dirt actually were that trying. But no matter, she will die like the rest who oppose me."
These thoughts, and thoughts like them, plagued her mind as she focused on her foe. Vennel saw that her adversary was begining to charge her ki, as her hand began to emminate a soft glow, signalling her gathering energy. The troubling thing was, she wondered if Zucceta even understood the ramifications of what she was doing. Sure, if she managed to win then she'd be Queen. But it would also encourage a cycle of anyone being strong enough to take the throne to simply do it, and might have negative side effects for the Empire as a whole. On the other hand, if Vennel won, her claim would be solidified that much more. Which really meant it was a lose-lose situation for her, so did that mean she just wanted to make things harder of Vennel? Or was she really so short sighted. Or maybe she figured her power was enough to stop anyone that might challenge her. But even then, her power was small compared to that monster that called itself divine not but a few days ago.
No matter, Vennel thought, she'd just have to stay focused on the fight at hand. She wondered if Icarus was getting any good shots of their fight. The others that had gathered were good to stay out of the fight as they had, but she couldn't help but shake the feeling it was like a gathering of gulls following a trawler, waiting for the left over scraps after the true labor had been carried out.
Noting her opponent's gathering Ki, she pressed her attack. It was clear that Zucceta was intent on trying to hit her with ample force and strike a decisive blow to end the fight quickly. Not that Vennel could complain, she had to admire that attitude, as it wasn't far from what She'd done in her fight with the ministry, but was she really so naive to think Vennel would fall for it? Vennel used the closeness of the fight at hand and continued with her attack, jabbing out a quick snapping kick, as her body leaned back in the air to better facilitate the action, directed towards Zucceta's gut. Then, switching her body's position, she leaned inward and seemed to throw a haymaker for her temple, though before connecting, she'd reveal the true intent of her arm's movement, being to release a blast of ki from it at point blank range.

Post by Kayle on Jun 9, 2015 9:55:36 GMT
Kayle stood there waiting on the little blue person, who was apparently a Tuffle, to answer. The answer never came. Kayle didn't like being ignored, but he had learned a thing or two in the last few weeks. In the past, he may have out and out attacked the little man for daring to ignore him. Not now. Not this time. There was enough fighting going on between the Queen and her usurper wannabe. Being touch, not being pushed around, and taking what power you could, were all the things that made you a true saiyan at least to the low, middle, and elite classes, when you broke it down and played at the 'big boy' level, it took far more than that. It took real intellect. It took foresight, and planning. Most of all, it took knowing when to pick your battles, and when to let sleeping dogs lie. Kayle also knew that he was only half saiyan, and that gave him an edge over most other saiyans in this respect. Finally, his human blood was being of use to him.
Kayle looked around, deciding to ignore the blue robot boy thing. He looked around to ensure that no one else was going to interfere with the contest being fought. Sure, all the saiyans, and even those aliens that lived on Vegeta, knew that the Crown Combat was only meant to be between the current monarch and their rival challenger, but a lot of off worlders had shown up as of late. Who knows what they would do. No to mention the fact that some of the current Vegetan residents may not care for the rules, and jump in anyway. Stranger things had happened.
Glancing around the gathering crowd, Kayle so nothing to out of the ordinary. People were starting to gather. Some were starting to cheer. Some were betting. All the normal stuff when something of this magnitude happened, and it seemed to be happening a lot lately. The second time in two weeks. After so long of the ministries ruling, it was becoming unheard of. Kayle kept up his search. He still didn't care who won, but he was damn sure going to make sure that they won according to the rules of this combat.
Eventually his eyes landed on a person that was particularly odd looking to him. A half breed, like him, this was obvious, but she had other things about her. She seemed more jovial than most saiyans he knew. She didn't seem that aggressive. Then he caught a glimpse of her tail. Did her tail have bows, or possibly ribbons, tied in it?! Who did that? She seemed to be taking all of this to be a joke. Kayle approached the girl, as she was speaking to another person next to her. Something about betting or some such. He stared her straight into the eyes. "I don't mean to interrupt your little on goings with your friend here, but, umm... I don't think I have ever seen anything like you before here on Vegeta. You seem to be making a joke out of this, and you have bows, or ribbons, or tassles, or something hanging on your tail. I do not think I have ever seen such a thing here on this planet. I'm honestly surprised that you aren't just pushed around by people around here. Not that that is my intent. You do intrigue me however. Would you mind telling me who you are?" Kayle said with a rather inquisitive, but not accusing, tone in his voice.
It wasn't everyday he found something new. Most things on Vegeta were the same. Wake up, fight, eat, fight more, sleep, wake up, repeat. But this, this was new, and because it was new he had to ask about it. Kayle had been like that since he was a child. Always having to know what he did not know. It's how he learned how to fight so easily, and how he absorbed his fathers research on molecular science so easily, and how he combined them to make his own fighting style. He guessed it was his human half that made him this way, as he had not met a pure blooded saiyan that had ever taken an interest in anything other than the day to day life of waking, eating, fighting, fighting more, etc. Whether this was true or not, it didn't matter, because it was part of who he was, and it was something that he would have to sate or it would drive him nuts until he did.

The Tuffle comes wandering over and makes a bunch of condescending noises at her. If she were enjoying the fight less, Zuni might have been tempted to do something about it - but the pair actually seem pretty evenly matched, to her inexpert eye. It seemed that Vennel was favouring a fast, overwhelming response - hitting time and time again, where the challenger was trying to prepare something more dramatic to finish it in a single decisive strike or two. That was worth keeping in mind. Vennel's impatience was written all over her style, where Zucceta was being far more conservative, slow and deliberate.
It wasn't just a clash of fighting styles; it was a clash of philosophies, revealing the truth of each personality within their fists. Fascinating, truly fascinating.
It was more than interesting enough to keep her distracted from the little blue thing, and it wasn't until Kayle came wandering over that she was forced to take her eyes off the fight to look at him. The woman does indeed have ribbons tied about her tail - a tail which continues to move around behind her, though she also wears old, classic style Saiyan armour which might give a hint about why people don't tend to bother her. Especially in the slums, any sort of warrior was likely to obliterate a fool who dared to give them a reason to do so, halfbreed or not.
"I'm a person, not a thing. And I'm one of a kind."
That irritable response given, she turns her attention back upwards, no longer looking Kayle in the eye as she pays attention to the duel in the skies above; she doesn't want to miss anything exciting, and it certainly looked like something exciting was on the way... besides, if Vennel dodged it, she'd need to be on her toes if she wasn't going to wind up a piece of collateral damage herself.
"You think this is a joke, idiot?" She laughs, "This is serious, but it is FUN. Who doesn't like seeing a fight? Now pay attention or go away. If you want to buy me a drink or something, you can do it AFTER all the interesting things are over."
That's about as much of a response as she feels like giving to Kayle. The guy is... a half-breed, and he doesn't exactly seem very interesting right now; not compared to the fight at least. He was curious, and she might encourage that later... but one or the other of the women fighting up there was going to be the ruler of the whole planet, and that would probably be decided in the next few minutes. It really wasn't a good time to be making introductions.
This really was incredibly exciting.

Kayle was blown off by this woman. Again, in the past, he would have been angered by this, but then again he had learned a thing or two.
"Do I think this is a joke? Of course I do not, but then I again I have already fought Vennel before. I already know how she fights. A bit sloppily at times, especially when she is angry. That works on lower or equal level opponents. On superior opponents however, winning requires you to be smart and tactful." Kayle analyzed Vennel as he spoke. "Yes she beat me, but that is because she vastly out powers me. When she fought me on more even grounds, when she some how had her power limited, my speed and thought in battle vastly out performed her. You can overwhelm anything with enough power, but sometimes the amount of power you would need just isn't there."
"The challenger has a real chance if she keeps her calm and collects herself. Being a pure blood, I see her giving into her blood lust eventually though. I've not seen her fight before, but I have heard the stories of how she fights and kills. I prefer not to go off rumors however. I like to see how she really fights, and this I am doing now." Kayle mentioned of Zucceta.
"Besides, you were the one that seemed to treat this like a joke. Making bets, conversing with your friend there. All I want to know is who wins, so that I know whom to approach after. I won't let them leave me in the dust again. I have to much to offer this place." He would say to the woman that he was now standing beside. She definitely had a saiyan's attitude that was for sure. "Oh, and I never called you a thing. I called that blue thing over there and thing" He mentioned in passing, pointing at the little blue man.
"So as you can see, I was very well paying attention. You just caught my eye as I'd never seen it before. A fight with Vennel? I have. This new person is rather interesting however." Kayle observed again.
"I know nothing of this challenger. Only that she speaks oddly for a saiyan woman. It's interesting in and of itself. I may have to explore that later, if she survives this. We will see I suppose." Kayle spoke again. "And don't think speaking in such a way will get rid of me. I'm used to that in this place. I don't know about you, but I am fully capable of both paying attention to this fight and speaking. Any true warrior would be. I guess you aren't that different after all. Typical saiyan woman." He spoke again with a sigh. "I think perhaps you should know whom you are talking to before you accuse me of something. Do not think I am not interested in this. I know that whoever wins could change things forever, but as a true fighter I can both pay attention and investigate."
At this point Kayle grew silent, still watching the fight, and still scanning for would be interlopers at the same time. He was very interested in who won, despite how it appeared. He knew that whoever won could change things, but they all lived in an ever changing world.

Luffa let the ki dissipate from around his shoulders as he relinquished his attack, more from stunned acknowledgement of the energies being gathered than from the time-honored protocols of throne challenges. For long moments, he simply watched the exchanges, in utter awe of the numbers his scouter was reporting from the attacks being charged and let loose. His fingers clenched tightly into fists. “How could this be possible?” Was this truly Lady Death? He’d heard she was strong, but these powers were astounding! And what great spirit had burrowed its way into the Queen? How could any Saiyan alive be that strong that wasn’t born an Elite? A noble?
His teeth gnashed with anger as he watched the combat, his eyes widened in rage. He could scarcely follow their movements! His dark eyes leapt to the other spectators, who seemed calm and oblivious to this outrage. “You!” He bellowed, thrusting an accusatory finger at Icarus, who was trying to fall back into the crowd. “Where do you think you’re going? You had something to do with all this, didn’t you?” He demanded with shrill accusation, a throbbing vein appearing on his brow. “What did Lady Death mean, ‘suppression by your kind’?! Who are you? How did they get so powerful?!” His kiai flared around him, as he glared helplessly at the fever-pitch combat. How could anything alive be so strong? They were both stronger than the old Kings! Than all the ministers… than the Elites! They’d have reduced Viceroy Mustad to burning bones in an instant!
Luffa tagged his scouter on Icarus, getting a reading of his ki.
>( 5,636)<
An outrageously high power level for an alien! Who the hell did he think he was?
“There are no rules against battle others while the two contenders duel. Let’s hear your confession, worm!” Luffa lashed out, bursting out of the confines of his long and gold weighted cloak, revealing the sleek emerald aegis of his armor and his old battle suit underneath, skipping across the square and burrowing through the crowd, sending spectators flying as he threw out a punch at his smug rival’s jaw, intending to throw him into the air with the sweeping maneuver. He would follow up with a fast kick to his ribs, spinning about to deliver his shinbone into the alien’s gut.

Zucceta smiles. It was nice being the center of attention for once, a whole city of saiyans watching her battle with the Queen. Tens of thousands of eyes settling on her form, Lady Death and Queen Vennel's shared battle poeticism. The city still smelled like ash and coal; it was a smell Zucceta had missed, the Earth cities had clear skies by comparison.
If Lady Death could have read Vennel's thoughts, her reaction would have been genuine distaste. The throne should always be challenged; the strong should always lead the way. It was Zucceta's personal brand of saiyan philosophy; the victor has the truer motive, the winning ambition. It was a flawed theory, and one that had caused Zucceta much distress in her losses against the heroes of Earth, but a simple one to live by, and live by it Zucceta would continue to. She would have disagreed entirely that her fight for the throne was short-sighted; she had a plan she could only enact with the command of the saiyan solar army. A plan that would soon come to fruition, or not, depending on this fateful duel.
Either way, the Arcosian empire better watch out. She smirks. Vennel would still make a good queen, should she succeed here; better still, she would make a fine second-in command for a theoretical Queen Death, the head of her attack-team B. In Zucceta's battle manifesto, she had named this team 'the Imperial Fist'; her own team would be 'Apocalypse Incorporated' once again, although with slightly less narrow code-name choices as the original unit.
Zucceta manages to take a moment to glance at the crowd below. The brat was pursuing the Tuffle, angrily. If they managed to take each other out, Lady Death couldn't foresee herself crying over it.
Vennel's snapping kick impacts on Zucceta's gut, a slither of pain jolting from her body. Zucceta moves her free arm, the prosthetic, with deadly intent, grappling Vennel's hand with her own metal digits with the intent for a crushing grip, not dissimilar to which Virtual Poi had done to her weeks before; the ki blast released from Vennel's hand detonates along her grav-forged alloy. She feels the point where her mechanics meets her stump heat up, but ignores the discomfort.
Regardless of if Vennel was successfully in her mechanical grip, she would generate her Razor in her free hand in an instant, the white chi seething from every finger and her palm into a scythe-like blade, curved with churning, angry energy. She would slice at Vennel's outstretched arm, with the intent of severing her hand from her limb; Zucceta did this in the knowledge that, in this current context, even such a wound as this could probably be treated, an organic hand restored.
Should her previous swing fail, Zucceta would follow through with a lunge, the shape of her blade changing into a straighter sword. The lunge would have the intent of stabbing through Vennel's gut; a non-lethal method of dispatch, although one that would be ultra painful.

Things were going well for the moment he'd contacted Saiba V Jr. An the others in the make shift preparations. His droids making quick preparations information to be gathered but he heard the loud you at first but tried to ignore it moving a bit quicker through the crowd. His small stature helping to be hidden partially like a silver topped thing visible in a small sea of saiyans. But be damned if he didn't quickly rush to his side. Remembering the fight at the feast and treating his injuries after that lead to discoveries on his own body. But now the damned noble was at it again. Icarus clearly looked hard pressed to battle an more so to continue on. Grumbling at what was asked as he didn't believe that saiyan told history. But explaining would take far to long and the boy would never believe and trust him anyway. You can't teach those who don't wish to be taught. "Damn... Luffa I don't have time for this... Let me pass what she speaks of is not properly recorded history. If you can calm yourself I can give you a lesson on it later in private but I can't afford a confrontation right now." His voice clearly trying to suggest to get by. Wishing to move forward on business perhaps. He did look and fit better in labs anyway any and all visitors to the palace often found him in the experimental ward of the research wing of the palace. He;d replaced most saiyan scientists with aliens as well of better skill. So it did have notice to some elites. Kai's help him if Luffa heard of that too.
But before he could try and use reason Luffe and his glimmer cloak that fell were on him in a flash. Icarus trying to move back but taking a considerable blow to the jaw. Being knocked back on his back flat only a few feet away as he tried leaning back to avoid it. But such quick movement was too fast for him. The cloak around him that covered his black clothes blue gloves and boots slid off as well as he rose from the ground. A hand rubbing his cheek with some synthetic purple blood smeared there as it also started to bruise. A few around them made open a circle around the folks watching this fight now as well. "No no no... I don't have time for this." He'd whisper under his breath seeing this might be a spectacle. A double feature to them of excitement. However a few took surprise at a the 'alien'... He hated that term. Alien they call him... they are the aliens but Kai forbid their history remember that. his power shot up to the full 22,545. It had a few staring a few surprised a few more excited. He' stand not far off from Luffa his hands shaking a but but a angered look in his eyes even if his face suggested reason. He couldn't hide the glare in his eyes. "I owe you no confession... This is not the time for this as well as if this is how you conduct business of conversation and negotiation no wonder your family has yet to move further up now that we keep closer watch on the archives." Which was true as many elites were being relieved of foundations powers an responsibilities lately. Icarus was reporting all misuses of funds powers and other abuses to his queen. Rumors of some replacements of holdings soon to be not only elites but some first class possibly taking position. It was all in the works nothing concrete but many elites were getting notices of needing to soon change hands of planets in control and some high positions would soon change. Icarus helping oiling the machine for Vennel so it'd run much smoother.
"Do not prod at this subject now... An I am not the alien.... I hate being called that it was my race on this planet long before you ever showed up..." He'd stutter out wishing he hadn't shortly after. What would Luffa care of his loss or even would he be capable of understanding. He loathed the idea of a fight but chances are another attack or possibly a challenge was coming. He' rub his cheek lightly the sore sensation making his skin ache lightly at the cheek where bruise was forming.

The feeling of her leg punching into Zucceta's gut, brought a grin to Vennel's face. It was reassuring to know that she could still yet deliver a blow to her opponent. The reaction on Zucceta's face making the small victory all the sweeter. But as Vennel lurched closer to the challenging woman, her arm was caught just shy of it's strike, her ki blast exploding in the metalic grip. The heated metal's crushing grip felt like it could potentially crush her very hand if she remained locked in that struggle with Zucceta for long. Vennel summoned most of her might to try and break free of the metallic limb, and thankfully it was just in time to watch the flash of white light as it blurred past her. "What the-" Her thoughts didn't even have a chance to finish. A blur of Saiyan and white light was all Vennel saw before a heat in her gut consumed her body. Her face seemed to turn white as a sheet as she looked down. Zucceta's arm, transformed into a blade of ki, was plunged into her stomache. At first the shock of the blow was enough to dull much of the pain. But as the kinetic force from the strike pushed her back, and her body slid off of the razor-sharp ki, Vennel seemed to lose control of her ki control as her body fell. The sight of Lady Death seemed to speed away from her, even though Zucceta was not moving away. No, Vennel's body was what was moving away, and at high speed with the greater mass of the planet pulling her down like a rocket. Her body hit the pavement in a thunderous crash of debris and dust, as it shot into the air, before raining back down on top of Vennel's limp body. The pain in her stomache seared as she tried to slowly, pull herself up. Her hand instinctively went to cover the wound, as if it could stop the bleeding. Rolling over, she tried to pull herself up, before coughing up blood into the dirt below her and her body falling under it's own weight. "Is.. this it? I-Is this how I... Die?" Her thoughts were a torrent of confusion and rage. Was this the limit of her strength? Was this all she could do? No matter what she'd done, always to be made a fool of by those who danced to another's tune? What made this defeat seem all the more embarassing was that it came at the hands of someone who worked for that thing that called itself a God. Her wound's blood poured out, mixing with the dirt and dust that lay under the pavement, recently brought to the surface from her fall. Her life seemed to flash before her eyes, all that she'd done, all that she'd accomplished, her turn from outlaw to Queen. She recalled her days in the academy, when she'd first arrived on her home world, the feeling of being too weak to overcome a challenge, but she always found a way. There was always a way, something she could do, to surpass the obstacles that were in her way. Why, why then, did this have to be any different? NO!
There had to be a way. She wasn't going to die here, not like this. Struggling once more to stand, her lithe muscular frame started to writhe in pain once more, but seemed to slowly push itself up. The Saiyan Queen pushed up with her arms, her stomache's wound made any movement with her torso wrack her body with pain, but she'd push through it. She had to. If she couldn't get up from this, she'd not only have lost everything she'd worked toward, she'd also go down in history as the pretender Queen, or the one who couldn't hold onto her throne. She'd be the laughing stock of the Saiyan race! Vennel tried desperately to pull her legs up, to help support her wounded body, and then pushing up with her arms, she managed to get vertical, clutching her stomache wound once more. She turned toward Zucceta, looking at her foe through blurred vision. This, could not and would not be her end. Not like this, not here, not so soon after taking the throne. "No..." Her voice was low, shaking with the storm of emotion that was swirling around in her head. It was one thing for that alien to show up, call itself a god, and sic her pet Saiyan on her. It was one thing to have been made a fool of in front of the Saiyan nobles. It was one thing for this woman to have arrived and decried her a false Queen. But, it was another thing entirely for Vennel to die here. Her free hand balled itself into a tight fist, as she grit her teeth. "NO!" She cried out, as a single bolt of lightning crashed down, inexplicably from the sky in front of her. However, the force of nature was unknown to Vennel, as her focus was so finely tuned as she gazed at Zucceta. That woman, that bitch, She would pay for this. Another bolt of lightning crashed behind Vennel. The passerbys on the streets and in the buildings around her all seemed to be in a mix of confusion and worry for what was happening. Never before had they seen a Saiyan, in recent history, with this much power that the two combatants displayed. And now one of them was bending the laws of nature to her will? But their reactions meant nothing to Vennel. Blood trickled down her cheek from the side of her mouth, caked on from the mixture of dirt that she had formerly been face down in. Another bolt of lightning struck the ground, as her hair seemed to grow lighter of all things, flashing a bright gold for a moment. A fourth bolt of lightning crashed down, this one very close to her body, as once more a surge of power seemed to rush out of her body, as her hair seemed to turn gold once more, before settling down into it's normal dark chocolate color. Finally, the skies let loose one last bolt of lightning that seemed to strike Vennel dead on, as a surge of energy poured out of her, sending a gust of wind out in every direction around her. Vennel's hair shifted again, but the shift seemed to take, her hair turning a brilliant gold, and her tail's color did so as well, her eyes also changed, becoming like twin emeralds. "NOT LIKE THIS!" She cried out at the top of her lungs as her power skyrocketed beyond any limit she had ever reached before. She was oblivious to these changes, of course, her rage giving her tunnel vision as she stared down her adversary. But the sudden rush of power and her anger fueling her on, not even her wound seemed to bother her, running on adrenaline and hatred. Her body seemed to lurch forwards for a moment, before darting toward Zucceta in a flash of golden light, as even her aura which was naturally blue, had turned as gold as her hair. Her body rapidly closed in on Zucceta at speeds that she'd never managed before, her arm glowing with a brilliant blue ki. And as she was within striking range of Zucceta, she'd unleash her attack, throwing her ki at the royal contender. The erratic blue ki bursting out of her arm in a large destructive ball of pure energy. [ Transformation: Super Saiyan activated; PL: 102'495 → 1'229'940] [ "Attack names are dumb" [N1] used @ Zucceta ( PL: 405'880)] [ KP: 2/3]

"I'm not accusing you of anything, except being an idiot... idiot."
Zuni really couldn't care less about the half-Saiyan she was insulting any more. The guy was overly verbose for her liking - and that was saying something - but there was also a scuffle between the arrogant tuffle and the little Prince. She quite liked the Prince, but now they were being a nuisance too, because the fight was taking on a far more dramatic turn. When Zucceta's attack sent Vennel into the ground, Zuni flinched. That had definitely looked like it hurt, and her decision not to take her eyes off the fight was vindicated as she raised her hand to avoid the blast of debris thrown up by the impact.
Then things started to get weird.
At first, Zuni thought it was just a temper tantrum by the downed Queen - but no. Lightning impacts from a clear sky, and that raised hairs on the back of the demon's neck. She can't sense energy, but she knows an omen when she sees one... and as Vennel's hair started to flash, Zuni's eyes widened with honest shock. She'd expected the fight to turn nasty; she hadn't expected to see anything quite like this.
"Oh sweet, merciful kais."
With a grunt, the demon raised her arm to shelter herself as the lightning bolt impacted Vennel. Even given the quite significant distance between them, she could feel the thrum of power on the air; the strength of a Saiyan's anger given its true potential, allowed to rage in the world once more. For the first time since she started watching the fight, Zuni's expression isn't one of glee or excitement; it is one of genuine fear, her heart beating faster in her chest as she tried to make sense of what she was seeing.
This sort of thing wasn't supposed to be possible! Yet here it was, all the vague rumours and half-whispered myths she'd heard in her journey back to Vegeta made true before her very eyes. Worse still, this could mean the end for that other interesting Saiyan! Sweat beaded on Zuni's brow as she tried to calm herself down. It surely couldn't be as bad as all that, could it? Saiyans are still just saiyans, even if they do have more power than it seemed they did at first - Vennel had already been operating at such a high level it was difficult for her to believe that it could possibly be that great an increase.
Of course, just as she was reassuring herself of that, the Saiyan Queen actually started her counterattack.
Zuni's jaw dropped. For all the world it looked like the woman had simply stopped existing in one place and started existing in another, thrusting an immense wave of blue energy right at her opponent. Most of the Saiyans around Zuni are looking on with admiration, pride, even excitement...
... Zuni looks like she might be having a heart attack, her eyes shrunk to pinpricks and her mouth just hanging open. Even her tail has dropped down behind her, hanging limp with all its ribbon accessories. If this was what they were truly capable of, if this was how strong the Saiyans had become... what chance did she possibly have at trying to rein them in?
"This... this can't be happening, this is impossible! IMPOSSIBLE!"

Kayle stood by, now ignoring the horrible woman next to him. She spoke as if she were a pure blood. He had not time for that. He was growing bored with this fight as it went on. Anyone who understood the true mechanics of fighting, knew that Vennel could still win even though she is less powerful than Zucceta. If only she would learn to use tact and thought in battle. Power was always good, but with thought you can do more with less power. Making the fact of when you got more power, an even better gain. It was a never ending cycle, those with more power were beaten by a lesser source, when that lesser power source used thought and ingenuity in fights. All one needed to do was study a little history to know and see this. Maybe one day the saiyans would learn, and on this day, the saiyans would take their rightful place in the universe as their unquestioned rulers. The one next to him was obviously blinded by the status quo of saiyan life to understand this, obviously.
Kayle had been watching the fight the whole time and had not missed a beat. He say as Vennels blow made its mark, but that her ki blast had blew on the fake metal hand of her opponent. What he didn't see, was that Vennel was starting to get worried as she began trying to break free of Zucceta's grasp. Vennel wasn't out however, she gathered just enough strength to break out, and dodge a point blank ki blast.
He watched on as Zucceta's fake metal hand turned into a blade of Ki and plunged into Vennel's stomach. "If she would just use more finesse and less straight on fighting, she might just have avoided that" He thought to himself. He saw as Vennel's body slipped to the ground, crushing it and sending debris everywhere. Kayle had to shield his eyes from it. When the smoke and debris cleared, he looked at Vennel's face. Vennel had a look of shock on her face at first, that lead to a look of confusion, and then sheer anger. He then looked at her gut, as the wound poured blood onto the pavement. "I wonder if this is it for Vennel." Kayle thought to himself.
Something seemed different. Vennel seemed to be pealing herself off the pavement, with a look mixed of anger and determination on her face, while clutching the still oozing wound. She began to visibly shake. She balled up her fist. Kayle could see the intense rage on her face at this point. Lighting began to strike all around her, so much so that Kayle had to shield his eyes, but still made sure he was able to view the goings on. He saw as her hair seemed to grow lighter. It flashed gold. Then it flashed again. His scouter was going off the wall! Her power was growing so fast! "I can't believe this! How much power does she really have?! This is impossible!" He said out loud. "There is no way she could have that much power!" Vennel's hair turned to a brilliant yellow gold color, and here eyes a greenish color, as her power grew ever higher.
Kayle quickly shut off his scouter, knowing that it might explode. "This is physically impossible! Is this.... it has to be! The legend! A super saiyan! She has to be! If this isn't a super saiyan, then if one ever does come about we are all doomed!" He said aloud again. "This is amazing. The sheer power."
Vennel had gained a power that Kayle had thought not possible for even a saiyan, the highest of all races, could reach. She had transformed into a super saiyan. It had to be. Granted, it she had just used more thought and tact she wouldn't have needed that power, but still it was impressive. "I must have this secret." He thought to himself as he watched her blur toward Zucceta. All he was the golden blur. He couldn't keep up with anything else. "This secret will be mine. Just imagine what I could do with a power like that. That power, with my ingenuity. I could be the most feared person in the universe." Kayle pondered still thinking to himself. "I will learn it's secrets."

Post by Radasha on Jun 10, 2015 17:49:55 GMT
Radasha and Acadova were coming in from the wasteland after a training session. Radasha sighed, having heard the challenge on her way back. It was bound to happen sooner or later with the reinstatement of the old tradition. She didn’t think it’d happen this soon but oh well. She hoped Vennel could pull out a win. Radasha liked the younger saiyan and thought she’d make a good queen. They had needed someone like her for years now, to finally take down the ministry. They’d proven themselves very un saiyan-like. They had refused challenges based on the fact they were traditionally one on one and since they were ruling as a group…they couldn’t very well do that could they.
Vennel had no such advantage and Radasha had doubted she’d resort to something like it. No Vennel would accept any challenge to her rule, this proven as Radasha was currently reading her power level with the challengers. They were near equal. It’d be a fight of skil and experience rather than outright strength. Damn those were always the best and she was missing it. Sure Vennel might lose, but Radasha still enjoyed watching a good fight
Unfortunately for Vennel, it seemed she was losing as Radasha made her final approach, her power was dropping rapidly. An injury most likely. Radasha sighed. Maybe she’d be allowed to live….After all, the empire didn’t have many fighters of Vennel’s capability. Killing her would be a real waste of talent.
Suddenly Radasha’s scouter freaked out as it seemed a storm was brewing, bolts of lightning striking down. Wait….That wasn’t a storm. “What the hell….” Radasha murmured, narrowing her eyes. Suddenly they widened when she noticed her scouter’s readings. 400k…..500k…..600k…..Vennel’s power was climbing rapidly. Way past most of the strongest fighters on the planet, including the challenger. 700k…Radasha had to slow the reading as it was about to overload her scouter. What was this? 800k…
Radasha was nearing the scene of the fight, stunned by what she was seeing. A bright flaming aura and hair of gold. She could almost FEEL the power Vennel was putting out. “What…..What is….” She stuttered, unable to get any words out as the younger saiyan’s power climbed higher. 900k…..
Radasha stared, looking down at Vennel with wide eyes. She hadn’t even noticed she had flown somewhat near Zucceta, too mesmerized by the power she was seeing to notice. She quickly realized, however, when Vennel fired off an attack. There was more power in that uncharged attack than anyone present had in their body. Radasha quickly flew away as the attack made a beeline of Zucceta. She landed and shouted at Vennel. “Do you realize you’re reading over 1 MILLION!?”
Acadova merely landed among the crowd of gawkers, equally surprised.
