I actually found this place through this advertisement. So yay spamming your site on random forums brought at least one person to this site!
While I could stop there, it doesn't tell the why I decided to further investigate and eventually join WOD so here goes! *Inhails*
My roleplaying life began on a Dragon Ball site but there were many small things about the site that I didn't like (lazy staff, ineffectual enforcement of the rules, grading system that doesn't provide incentive for complex stories, all around weak restrictions on what players can and can't do) but could endure for a good while. It was a good place to get introduced into roleplaying but I could tell that I was steadily wasting time the longer I stayed there, so I left.
I had found a few other roleplaying sites that I enjoyed (and still do enjoy) but I never got the same feel from them as I would from a dragon ball site so when I saw the advertizement (especially the parts about democracy and canon void plotline) I decided it was worth a deeper look. It wasn't long after that I joined up and started making my character.
