[Thread PL: 3,951. Ki Suppression. Ki level: 5]
So, this was the tower. He had heard many things about it, read about it in numerous books. Atop this deceptively thin white shaft, sat the great lookout, where the kami resided, where he looked over the world. A part of Lunar was still surprised that anything would be able to sit on such a thin shaft, and be up so high an NOT fall over. Then again, the world was full of amazing, and seemingly impossible things. Heck, regular humans could learn the ability to fly. Not that that could be considered evolution. Numerous things could learn how to fly. And if something could be learnt, rather than brought out by one's own biology, then it wasn't really evolution, now was it?
Though right now, flight was an ability Lunar wished he had, as he stared up the tall tower. He had read that tribes around here used climbing this tower as a sort of test, and though Lunar was now much stronger than your average man, he wasn't particularly fond of the idea of having to climb to the very top of the world. It had taken him a while simply to get to this spot. The thin pale man in the black coat leaned against a tree, pondering his next move. He could have rented a flying car and tried to fly up there, but would it have the gas t make the trip? Falling from a massive height in a steel trap didn't sound that appealing. His chin fell into his hand. At the very least he knew where the tower was. Who said he couldn't come back here later. He just wished there was more he could have done out here to make the trip worth it.

[Thread PL: 66,141. Heavy Weights ON. Ki Suppressed: 1,500]
It had been an eventful day for Toma. Well, eventful in the sense that he had figured out how to use the Afterimage technique after seeing Xitica use it about a week prior. A useful technique, Toma had found, that allowed one to rapidly move from one place to another almost instantaneously, while leaving a fake image of himself in his place. One might call it teleportation in a sense, though it was simply moving incredibly fast rather than instantly moving from one place to another.
How did Toma train this, you ask? Well, it’s simple really. He had discovered that if he raised his power level in very short bursts and dashed to where he wanted to be, he could perform the technique. Though it was far more complicated than that in all actuality. It was much more difficult than simply raising ones power in order to move faster than the speed of sound and sight.
Of course, Toma was outside. He couldn’t exactly train a technique such as this while being confined to an indoor area, now could he? He had decided that if he were to test this technique, he’d need to pass something. Something quick. Something that could hurt someone. And he had just the thing to do it.
Toma looked up at the bright blue skies of the Earth. He smiled some. He loved this planet. It was peaceful, for the most part, and it had been kind to him. He had met new friends, found a lover, and had even gotten far stronger than he had previously been on his home world. And he was going to use that power to protect everyone that he could.
And then, it came to him. He would use his new speed to stop a Ki blast. Not just any Ki blast, but his own Ki blast. If he could outrun his own power and deflect it into space where it would harmlessly explode, then he could prove to himself that he had gotten stronger and had mastered the technique. Of course, he would have to be quick about it, or else he might risk hitting the lookout, or worse.
So, Toma took a fighting stance. He spread his legs and bent his knees, bringing himself lower to the ground as he threw his hands forwards, pressing the ends of his wrists together. The ground began to shake some as he began to charge up the energy required to create such an attack. A beautiful emerald ki or began to appear in his hands as lightning sparked around him, the wind kicking up and the trees moving with it.
“FINAL SHINE!” Toma shouted as the Ki blast fired up into the air. It traveled for a few seconds, more than high enough for anyone around to see it, before Toma cut off the power from it’s source. But it was still traveling. That was when Toma had decided it would be best to move. His blue ki aura quickly flared up around him as he disappeared from the spot where he had been standing, only to move quickly in front of the Ki blast, materializing almost from nothing.
Toma floated in the air for a second before throwing his hands forwards, catching the blast. Grunting in pain as the blast pushed him back, he let out a loud yell before pushing his Ki forwards, redirecting the blast upwards into the sky.
Shortly after, Toma was panting very hard and sweating some. He wiped his forehead, only to start laughing a bit. Yes! He’d done it! He had gained the ability to learn the after image!
So, with that, Toma began descending once more towards his home, wanting to conserve a little bit of energy after that workout.

Lunar was still pondering his next move when something caught his attention. A surge of power in the back of his mind. Pulling away from the tree, he spun around to see a glowing orb of power shooting up into the sky, only for something, it was hard to tell from this distance, to appear before it and stop the blast. He could sense some power coming from the flying object, definitely higher than your regular human. A small smirk appeared on Lunar's face. It seemed there was someone of interest out here after all.
And now he had something to do.
He took off in a run, making his way in the direction that the orb flew from. All the while, he made sure to lower his power even further, to the point where nothing seemed to emit from him. If this person could sense energy, he didn't want to be caught out. This person would make an excellent test subject, and the one way to ruin an experiment was if the subject knew they were a part of one.
It wasn't long before he arrived at a small home, in the middle of the forest. It was curious to see someone actually living out here by himself. His eyes immediately fell on the young man outside, instantly spotting his tail.
A Saiyan? Well, that certainly explains it. Still, a subject is a subject. Their minds are no different from humans.
But first, a little something. If he let his subject go inside, he'd lose his chance. Keeping behind a tree, he closed his focused on nearby, forming an illusion of a shape, any shape, just barely out of the Saiyan's sight, making it zip off into the woods. Anything to draw his attention. At least, not towards himself.

Toma had begun walking towards his home, when he began to hear something behind him. Someone shuffling around in the shadows? Unlikely, Toma thought. He figured he was just being paranoid. Surely he could sense a power like that. Besides, the animals around this area made plenty of noise on their own. Surely, it must have been one of them, right?
Toma then stood up on his hands, before moving one hand behind his back, and started doing singular hand push ups. It was a fairly decent workout, meant more to keep his sense of balance and center of mass keen and sharp, rather than build power. Both were necessary of course, but he had his gravity chamber for the harder workouts. And Ninjin. She liked to give him a run for his money too.
But then, he saw something. Just barley. Something out of the corner of his eye. He turned his head towards what he saw for a moment, before figuring it must’ve been a rabbit or something. When one lives in the woods, it’s not too uncommon to see animals running away from your establishment.

Lunar's eye twitched at the rather lackluster response his subject had given him. Did he just simply ignore the illusion? He definitely saw it, and then just went back to his exercise. This sent a shot of irritation through the scholar, before he managed to calm himself. They were sitting in a forest. There would be wildlife. He could have simply just passed off the shape as nothing more than a local animal running for cover or something. That had to be it.
So, if Lunar was to get this little experiment on the road, he would have to do something to REALLY get his attention. Not towards himself of course, that would be silly. No, he just had to pull him way from his exercise.
He decided to try again, this time on a more well defined illusion. He focused his illusion on the top of the man's house, just above where he was exercising. He gave a sinister smirk when an almost shadowy version of the man himself appeared on the edge of the roof, squatting down and watching the man do push ups. Seeing another version of himself would surely get his attention. Lunar had it planned out. He'd wait until the man looked up and saw it, then have the illusion run to the back of the roof out of sight and vanish. A good starting point to gauge the man's responses.

Toma continued to do his exercise before he began to sense something. Something tugging at the edges of his mind. Something trying to break in and mess with him, but it was failing. Toma was so much stronger than the power trying to mess with him that it simply was unable to alter Toma’s mind in any way. Though, now, Toma was alerted to the presence.
Toma pushed himself off the ground for a moment before backflipping onto his feet. He began to look around, scouting out for anyone nearby. He didn’t see anybody around, but he remembered, he had heard a noise behind him. Turning around to face the general direction where Lunar was at, he raised his arm, and began forming an emerald Ki ball in his hand. He, of course, looked rather pissed off that someone would try to attack his mind on his own turf. Even if it had failed, it was the principle of the matter.
“You have five seconds to reveal yourself, whoever you are, before I start leveling this forest.” He spoke as the Ki ball sat in his hand, gathering power. He was not going to let someone have their way with him, not at his own home.

Intriguing. This individual was mentally strong enough to resist the illusion. And now, he was aware that Lunar was nearby, though still unsure as to where. Not that he seemed to care, the way he was brandishing his power. Would he go so far as to level the forest he dwelt in? Well, he was a Saiyan after all. They were prone to violence. It seemed this little experiment would have to end.
Or would it?
A small smile on his face, Lunar calmly stepped out from behind the tree, causally turning his head to look at the young man, his red eyes hidden behind a pair of shades.
"My my, such a violent reaction. Is this normally how you treat surprise visitors? Though I guess that would explain why one such as yourself prefers solitude." His voice was completely calm, devoid of fear for the man before him. Why should he? Anything this man could do to him was pitiful compared to...
He had to train his face to prevent the manic grin from spreading across his face. But that was the usual reaction whenever his mind went back into those past for years.

Well, this guy wasn’t a human. At least, not completely. That much Toma would deduce from simply taking a look at the man. Dark blue skin, red hair, and whatever color his eyes might be behind those glasses. Not that it mattered to him, really. An enemy was an enemy, regardless of whatever race they were born to.
Though, now that the man had revealed himself, didn’t mean that Toma would drop his guard. The ki orb continued to charge in his hand as he stared the intruder down. His face was stone cold, his expression honed from years of training and fighting.
“That depends on the intent of the visitor. You are not one whom has good intentions. You are not welcome at my home. So, tell me, why is it you have come here?” Toma asked. There was a reason Toma lived by the tower that lead to The Timeless Lookout. He was here so that if anything happened, he could go to Scargots aide at any time. Of course, this also raised some suspicions as to why this man was here. Was he wanting information on Scargot? Maybe. But that didn’t matter. It wasn’t like Toma was going to tell him anything.

[OOC: Toma, Lunar's skin isn't blue. He's just really pale. Sorry if the avatar is confusing]
"What is to say whether my intentions are good or not? After all, good and bad are subjective. Besides, you do not know what my intentions even are, so you do not have the information to judge." Lunar cocked his head as he looked unfearingly at the man. He hadn't lowered that orb of his. In fact, he seemed to be charging it more. Did he really see him as that much of a threat to go to such extremes? This was a man who took no chances. Did that make him smart, or did that make him cowardly? More often than not the two went hand in hand. Again, it depends on perspective.
He began to pace lazily back and forth, as he began to speak. "As for why I'm here, well, I'm a travelling scholar of sorts. Always seeking knowledge and willing to share it with the people. After all, our minds are what sets us apart from the animals, does it not?"
His covered eyes looked up at the tower. Even from this distance he could see it, that white shaft heading up into the sky. "I had read about this tower. At the very top, the lookout where the Kami himself looks down upon the world. Must be a marvelous view from up there." his head shook ruefully, giving a small chuckle, "Alas though I cannot simply fly up there. Though I did read that the native tribes in this region would climb this tower as a test of strength. I can certainly say that's quite a test they made for themselves." His gaze then turned back to the Saiyan. "Tell me, have you ever climbed the tower? Oh, I know you can fly. I saw you flying around up there earlier, but I wonder if you ever took the time to climb the tower yourself. You certainly look capable of it."

“I know that you tried to invade my mind, at my own home no less. That is more than enough reason for me to distrust you.” Toma spoke once more, as he stared the man down. The man then begin to speak about the lookout and how he had come here to study Korin Tower. He spoke about how the native tribes had climbed the tower as a test of strength. This made Toma recall the memory of Pieter, whom having climbed to the top of the lookout, had been absoloutly exhausted and looked like a mad man. Of course he was fine after a few minutes of rest, but that’s beside the point.
“No, I haven’t tried to climb the tower. If I were to ever go meet this ‘kami’ you speak of, I’d simply fly up there.” Toma spoke. He didn’t want this man knowing he had any releation to the Kami of Earth, Scargot. He got nothing but bad vibes from this person, and he didn’t trust him one bit. The less he knew, the better. “But I have no reason to go meet this guy you speak of, even if he does exist.”

Lunar gave a small chuckle as the man spoke of him invading his mind. "Oh, you mean this?" he gave a casual wave and a rather transparent projection of the man appeared between them. "Nothing more than a mere optical illusion. I had dabbled in a little of the occult arts in the past, so I picked up a thing or two. You see, I saw you flying around, smacking around that energy ball, and got a little curious. I wanted to see how you'd react to something a little, well outlandish. Since you ignored my first illusion, I decided to try harder. No real harm intended at all."
As the man mentioned never meeting Kami, Lunar rose a quizzical eyebrow. He never met the Kami? Surely he must have been curious. He had a feeling this man was lying. However, saying so to his face might prove hazardous to his health, especially with that ki ball he was charging at him. "Well, to each their own I suppose." Lunar shrugged, turning his back on the man, "It seems though I caught you in a bad mood. I shall make my leave then."

Toma continued to stare at this man. He was creepy, and going about messing with people's minds was definitely not something one did if they wish to make friends. “I’m normally very welcoming to people at my home. But when someone goes skulking about in the shadows trying to mess with my head even if it is something simple, I tend to get suspicious.” He spoke, still staring at the man. But now, he lowered his hand, the green energy sphere dissipating away from the area.
“If you wish to leave then leave. If you wish to stay then that’s fine too. Just don’t try any more mind-game stuff on me, alright? Because if you do I will not hesitate to retaliate. I really don’t appreciate people trying to get into my head.” He continued, before he turned back towards his home, beginning to walk inside. He was getting rather hungry and decided it was time to eat.

Seeing this man lower his attack, letting it die, brought a small smirk to Lunar's face. It seemed this man could be reasoned with, somewhat, though he knew he wasn't one to push. That charge showed him just how strong this man could be, definitely something to remember in the future. Right now though, he had everything he felt he needed.
"I think I will take my leave. I feel I've been here long enough, and I've intruded on enough of your time. I'll leave you to the rest of your day." He gave a small, lazy wave as he began to walk away, soon disappearing from sight amongst the trees. Lunar gave a soft chuckle as he looked up, seeing the tower through the trees. He had a feeling this man knew what lied atop that tower, that he had indeed met the Kami. Lunar was very interested in meeting this individual, the man who guarded the earth.
