The Electric glow and the tapping of Keys emanated from a room with a closed door. Inside was Sage, reading up on all the different Species and historical events he had missed out on due to the fact that he lived in the desert. He tapped a couple more keys and then Plugged something into his Head. Lines of code funneled into his Vision as Years worth of information was read through in seconds. After a few moments a Ding was heard as the Wire unceremoniously dislodged itself and the Hole in his head closed up. A knock was heard from the door, a Scientist with a Clipboard was knocking on It. "Sage, Administrator Azure will be arriving in the next hour, I advise you to be ready and not stuck in your room reading." The Door swung open and Sage stepped out. "Thanks for the Information sir, I'll be waiting for him."
Sage headed out to the one of the Lookout Towers, he had become Friends with a guard there named Merf. "How's today looking Merf?" Sage asked with a Smile. "Doing just great today Sage, I hear Administrator Azure is coming by today to talk with you! that must be exciting" Merf nudged Sage. He laughed a bit "Yeah I suppose He is, Not sure why he wants to meet me though." Sage looked out on the Vast ocean they were settled in, The massive blue expanse reminded Sage of himself. Merfs Scouter beeped and so did Sages. "Looks like Johnnie needs you down at the Testing Chamber, get to It Sage!" Merf saluted Sage as he walked off.
Sage walked out into the Main Testing Chamber and tapped a few buttons on a console. The Crab-bot from a week ago Lay in ruin, although It was in much better shape than It was when Sage destroyed It. Sage got to work Rebuilding the thing, It was what he spent the majority of his days doing. "Within the next day or two It should be returned to full working order." Sage said to his Partner Johnnie who had handed him a Wrench. "This thing is looking Great so far Sage, with how fast you fix things I might be out of a job." The Man in a Blue Jumpsuit laughed to himself.

(Heavy Weights On) (Thread PL: 2,428,848 (With Weights: 607,212))
The Blue Banner’s latest gizmo, a HOPPER, or High Oscillation Personal Protection and Exploratory Robot, leapt through the air, soaring across the sky. It could leap up to several thousand meters – up to three, after the last system tweak, nearly as high as where planes flew – and if its gliding fans were sprouted as webbing in between its long metallic toes, it could run along the tops of the clouds for a short span of time, using the dense condensation as a buffer before aerodynamic forces took over and it was forced to arc back down to the ground.
Burst air-jets and an electron-ki inertial dampener softened its landing. It could run on water for much longer periods than it could on clouds, and travel at speeds faster than most hovercars. If it’s density arc on water began to fade, its long legs could transform into a churning dual propeller motor, put-putting around the Sea. It was powered by advanced fission cells, with a half-life of five thousand years, so there was little chance that its nuclear fuel would ever phase out.
It would be the perfect infiltration vehicle for Blue Banner’s non-ki Special Forces and Special Corps operators.
Right now Vi-Poi was piloting one, sitting in its control bucket while he raced towards the secluded island fortress that was the Site A Android Research Complex. Vi-Poi had never been in the synthflesh, only accessed it through digital relays, so it was an exciting prospect to visit. Further, he was coming to test the very first independently successful Android ever produced by Blue Banner. Site B’s Bio-Android research had been far more successful with its early constructing of BREU, and now Site A had finally caught up, thanks to the intrepid efforts of Dr. Slouch, Major Vermilion, and the entire Science Corps.
Before long, the island -- heavily obscured by thick and mountainous jungle – loomed before him. He leapt and landed on a pearly-white beach, flipping open his built-in scouter and scanning for signals. There were massive and extremely dangerous dinosaurs on the island, more than one careless worker had strayed into the brush and never returned, some found days later half-eaten by the predators. Vi-Poi would have no such issues, of course, but he did worry about the prototype HOPPER becoming damaged by some angry tyrannosaur.
He stuck to the clearest paths along the stream network that fed into the Sea, leaping along the rocks that broke the rushing whitewater. Only twice was he ever harassed by the local wildlife, but the HOPPER’s nimbleness and speed proved more than a match for the interested hunters. When he reached the long and low pyramidal stack of floors that was Site A, he toggled his HOPPER into a low power setting and slowed to a walk.
Major Vermilion was awaiting him, along with the hunched figure of Dr. Slouch. The two would barely look at each other, but both greeted Vi-Poi with gracious salutes. After speaking with them briefly about the subject, a cybernecrotic surgery-recovery operation named Sage, Vi-Poi moved deeper into the complex. He was also briefed on the android’s personality profile – Sage had been something of a local ki-using hero in his small community in the Fortuneteller’s Desert. Vi-Poi had spent enough time in those small holdfasts to know that such a distinction did not come easy.
Vi-Poi paused as the large doors of the Main Testing Center slid open. Inside was the subject, who his Heads Up Display immediately tagged as Sage. Curious, Vi-Poi engaged the new suite of his built-in scouter as white crosshairs formed in his irises, locking on to the android.
(Lock-On/3D Scan Mode [SU3] learned)
Not only did the new scanning technology allow him to process much more about the target data, he was able to perceive the immediate area around him in a much more azonal, complete way. There would be no hiding from him in such short quarters – it even allowed him to see through walls at close distances. Vi-Poi offered a pleasant smile, deciding to keep the lock for now as he approached the subject. A blue-clothed facility worker of some kind was also with him, throwing Vi-Poi a nervous salute.
“Hello.” Vi-Poi said, nodding to them both, but keeping his eyes only on Sage. His built-in scouter brought home readings:
>(3,339)< Impressive. Very much so. It was nearly three times stronger than anything the Science Corps had managed to produce thus far out of Site A, and was a completely stable, functional platform.
“I am Administrator Azure. But you may call me Vi-Poi. Like you, I am an android, though we came to this destination while walking down different paths – I was never human, as you were. With us, you will learn for certain that your cybernetics are in no way a hindrance to your growth as a ki user, but a boon, a catalyst.” Vi-Poi let his circuits flood to maximum, allowing Sage to detect his maximum battle rating while wearing his heavy weights. Though the weights were as heavy as an armored war tank, Vi-Poi barely even felt them any longer. It wouldn’t be long before they’d lost all practicality entirely.
“What you sense now is but a fraction of my true potential. And this is but a sliver of the potential we can help you reach, together.” He walked to them, his neck craning high as Sage loomed over him by a good ten inches. He could sense it now, the electronic ghost inside of him. It was a near-perfect, flawless design. In short order, this flawed and oh-so-human genetic diceroll had been transformed into an engineered marvel. Vi-Poi gave a crisp salute and a quick wink, then crouched by the Crab Bot. Completing its reassembling it took only moments of his precisely agile, blurring hands. He infused its batteries with ki to finish the process.
“I here you are something of a hero among your people.” Vi-Poi said as he rapidly worked. “Are you willing to fight to defend the planet against those who would carelessly and callously destroy it?” He asked, tilting his head thoughtfully as his eyes slid back to the burly android.
(Figured we can have Sage fight the Crab Bot again if you want, this time supped up more )

The Large Metallic Doors of the Test Chamber slowly Slid open, It seemed that the leader of the BBA had finally Arrived. The Small Android had stepped into the room wearing Hefty Battle Armor. Sage stood up and Saluted his superior. "It's an honor to meet you Vipoi, as I'm sure you already know My Name is Sage." Johnnie stood up as well. he Saluted nervously and let out a fake cough "...I think I should split, you seem to be kinda busy here." Johnnie saluted again before Leaving quickly, not wanting to Intrude much longer.
Vipoi began increasing in Power, Sage took this chance to study his Superior with his Scouter. He activated it and allowed it to take It's readings. It took a few moments but eventually the Scouter beeped and displayed It's Reading.
>607,212< It was Astonishing, to say the least. It Dwarfed Sages power at least hundreds of times over. Sage looked down at Vipoi as he walked towards him "All I can say is I'm amazed. I didn't know someone could possibly become that Strong, I'm willing to help in any way I can." Sage watched as Vipoi began Rapidly repairing the Crab-bot in mere moments, something that would have taken Sage at least 2 Days. As Vipoi continued working he mentioned Sages Past to which Sage responded: "I Was a Hero, But I failed them, There's no-one left alive who used to call me that..." He Trailed off for a moment before he was asked another Question.
"I'm ready to do whatever It takes to defend the Earth, Even If I have to sacrifice my life again In the Process." He looked at his Leader who was just finishing up the Repairs to the Machine. The Crab-bot whirred to life, It awaited orders like an Obedient Dog waits for it's master.

Vi-Poi watched with mild amusement as Johnnie left the room, and then turned his attention back to Sage. After listening to Sage speak, Vi-Poi nodded slowly, his azure locks of hair partially obscuring his large blue eyes. “Failure makes us stronger. Success without effort makes us complacent, and weak. The military we replaced suffered from too much success. It had grown entrenched in its ways, so much so that it was paralyzed to change when true challengers arose. It would have buried its head in the heaping ash of a smoldering Earth, if it had its way. If we hadn’t stepped in, to correct the course.”
The blue-haired android raised a hand and signaled for the crab to attack. It’s energies had grown from Vi-Poi’s brief infusions. The mechanical monstrosity leapt forward on its large legs, swiping a clamping pincer at Sage’s head. Should the attack connect, the crab would move further forward still, looming over the android while gripping his head in a vise-like grip, threatening to crush it. Should the attack be dodged or deflected, the crab would follow through with a club-like reversing swipe of its claw, before dual lasers shot from its glassy ocular lobes.
Vi-Poi folded his arms as he watched the fighting begin. “Disassemble the creature as fast as you can.” He instructed. “I want to see you at peak levels of performance. No need to access your Overdrive – I know what those can do. No, I want to see you operate at your best possible continuous rate.”
The speed of the crab was uncanny, and dangerous. Even if its armoring was torn, it was a hearty system, one fully capable of fighting while partially disabled. Even with torn limbs, it would continue to struggle onward with the dogged determination and durability that only machinery could possess. “What does your best technique look like?” Vi-Poi asked thoughtfully.
(Feel free to tear it up, Vi-Poi wants to see whatcha can do )

The Crab-Bot leaped forward at much faster speeds than before, seemingly enhanced by Vipoi. It tried to crash It's metallic claw into Sage's head but he Back-flipped out of the way before the Claw could reach him. The Crab-bot swung it's claw once more, this time nailing Sage right in the chest. He was launched back but he stopped himself in mid-air just in time to see the Eye Lasers shooting towards him. He barely brought his Energy Shield up in time to Defend against the Beams of Crimson that had smashed into the Bubble. The Ocean-Blue Bubble of Ki sizzled and whined as the Eye Beams tried their best to penetrate It, but It was no use. The Crab-Bot stopped pouring power into the Beams and Sage released his Energy Shield.
Sage took this window of opportunity to go on the offensive. He rushed towards the Mech aiming right for It's eye globes. If it tried to shoot him again he would fly above and try to land on top of the Crab-Bot, If he landed on top of the Crab-Bot he would attempt to smash out the eye globes from above with his fists. If he broke or damaged the Eye Globes he would then Reel his fist back and slam it into the Top of the Hull, intending on breaking through and hopefully causing some internal damage.
If the Crab-Bot tried to swipe at Sage with it's claws, he would aim himself downwards to get under the Crab-Bot. If he succeeded in getting under the Crab-Bot he would continue flying, Throwing out Rapid punches at the under-side of the machine as he flew by it. Regardless of whether or not this succeeded he would then try to Rip off one of the Crab-Bots legs, whichever leg he was closest to at the end of his last attempt.
After either of these attempts he would Land try to land back on the Ground, presumably behind the Crab-Bot if any of his assault was successful. He would then get back on the Defensive, waiting patiently for the Machines next move.

Vi-Poi watched as the crab attacked, swiping its claw and nearly connecting with Sage before its backhanded claw smashed Sage into the chest. The large android’s bright blue energy shield hissed and crackled as the beams pulsed into it, but held. After the attack Sage moved into an attack, darting forward. The Crab-Bot released another lance of laser, but Sage expertly leapt over the blast and landed on top of the robot’s crown, punching out one of its dark eye-globes with a spray of shattered glass and sparks. The second punch against the Crab’s head dented the armored top, much of the kinetic energy of the strike being absorbed by the overcharge Vi-Poi had provided its batteries during its reconstruction.
The Crab-Bot was damaged, but wasn’t through yet. It snapped its pincers at the android, throwing its arms upward and then trying to make lunges at him when he landed to the ground. Some of Sage’s punches were blocked by its smaller middle legs, but a few of of the blows made it through to the more-vulnerable undercarriage, causing large craters in its metal body. The Crab-Bot stumbled back, but not before Sage was able to grab one of its arms and with a mighty heave tear the limb from its body. More sparks crackled from this much larger wound, wiring hanging limply from its exposed innards.
Suddenly, a hatch opened in the top of the Crab-Bot, and a near-endless barrage of missiles rocketed straight for Sage. The crab seemed to be more cautious now, keeping him at range while firing its massive supply of ki-tipped rocketry.
Vi-Poi gave a signal, and two other machines sprang from the walls. These small and bulbous humanoid robots were PEEPs, Periphery Enabled Environmental Probes. They were extremely weak, but could prove a distraction to Sage.
One of them attempted to latch onto his back immediately, trying to wrangle its short cylindrical arms around his throat as the Crab-Bot suddenly leapt in with a grasping claw…

Sage smiled to himself as his assault worked perfectly, each hit worked how he had planned it. To his surprise however it seems that the Crab had some extra tricks he hadn't seen in their first battle. It opened up a hatch on it's back to launch hundreds of Ki-tipped Missiles! Sage started running clockwise around the Mech, causing the rockets to impact and explode just behind him as he ran. He noticed a duo of power levels appear from nearby, they were small but they were heading for Sage.
The barrage of Ki rockets were winding down as the PEEPs approached slowly. The First PEEP locked itself onto Sages back, while the other one floated slowly, watching from afar. He couldn't focus on the PEEPs however, as the Crab-Bot took this chance to try and grasp Sage with It's claw. He met the claw with his own hands, trying to clash with the Mechs Enormous Metallic Claw. If he was successful in holding back the Claw he would then Charge up his Lightning Fist, Most likely over-loading and destroying the creature on his back as the Electric currents flowed through every bit of his circuitry.
After the Electric charge reached a sufficient level, Sage would send the Current through his arm and attempt to once again send the Electricity up the Creatures claw, hopefully disabling it.
If his attempts to clash with the claw failed he would be at the mercy of the Mech and It's miniature allies.

Sage’s robotic fist met the clawed arm of the Crab-Bot. The two limbs seesawed for the fraction of a heartbeat before a great surge of electricity and bright blue shockwave pulsed from the Android’s arm, and the Crab-Bot sizzled and smoked, then caught fire. It ended with a great boom, pieces flying everywhere. Vi-Poi dodged one errant piece, his slender arms folded across his armored chest.
“You’ve done well. Better than expected.” Vi-Poi said, his built-in scouter flickering across the soot-stained remains of the robot. The destroyed parts were still struggling to move, but there was nothing meaningful left, a mere faint ki residue that would soon fade into oblivion.
Vi-Poi’s bright blue eyes shifted over to the tall and brawny android. “Look at you. You are a marvel of creation, Sage.” A small smile grew on the blue-haired android’s pale face. “Where your old self was defeated, your new self ascends. You are no longer the product of fickle fate, but of the brightest minds in all the world. On a billion planets there are none like you, none crafted by nature. Just as steel makes a harder edge than the many stones it was fashioned from. We are the steel, my cousin. The stone that made us is of lesser substance.” Vi-Poi’s gaze returned to the collapsed contraption. He raised a hand and a shimmering pink wave of energy shot out, hitting the dying Crab-Bot and causing a bright rosy glow to surround its metal carapace.
(Diet Chocolate Beam [N1] used)
A puff of smoke gust upward, obscuring the space where the Crab-Bot had lay. When the drifting grey fumes dissipated, only a small block of baker’s chocolate remained.
“I recall from your file that your village was destroyed by a ki-user. Should you need any assistance answering that, you need only ask.”
Vi-Poi moved to extend a hand of fidelity to Sage. It would be the beginning of things.
(Figured this would be a fine place to wrap it, if you want! Lookin forward to more. We need some KAOS threads soon, goin up against people )

Electricity sparked as the Crab-Bot exploded in a similar fashion to their first encounter. He looked over to Vipoi as he praised him and smiled. "I'm grateful to you and your Science CORPS for giving me another chance." He watched as Vipoi raised his hand and let out a strange Pink energy, causing the Metallic pile of junk to become a small block of chocolate. Sage blinked a few times in disbelief. "You'll have to teach me that sometime."
Sage nodded. "You've read correctly. I'd appreciate the help but I'd like to find him on my own first. I let him go the first time, I can't let that happen again. As soon as I find out where the 'Crimson Lion' Is hiding I'll let you know and we'll deal with him when the time comes." Sage extended his own hand and shook Vipoi's, a smile grew on his Robotic Face. Sage walked over to the Block of Chocolate and picked It up, tossing it into the air and grabbing it again. "I assume our meeting is done. It was an honor meeting you, but I've got some research to do. Plus I've gotta show this to Johnnie." He laughed to himself as he gave a salute, and walked off.
In the distance, a yell of "NO WAY!" could be heard.
