Despite the fact that he had chosen to follow in his parent's footsteps and earn a degree in the Sciences, Sam was, at his core, an incredibly creative individual and something of a voracious reader. As a child, his desperate urge to know more had plagued him and led to equal parts intellectual discomfort and outbursts of frustration. But as a young man, Sam had been given access to one of the most well stocked libraries in the world. Among the many things he had read while attending the university had been a book on world history and a number of theories regarding the world's 'true' history.
Now, as he listened to the fellow who had identified himself as 'Alistair' he felt a small portion of his mind kick into overdrive and he drew a number of connections to a message that had been intercepted by a company's prototype interplanetary messaging system; he had recently 'investigated' the same company's headquarters, searching for some sign of wrongdoing. As more and more ideas popped into his head, Sam nodded politely at Alistair before snapping a photo of the kneeling 'Zucar', making sure that his positioning relative to Alistair gave off an oddly dignified ambiance. It would work well if the accompanying article were written to make it seem that Zucar was a proud and capable member of whatever team they belonged to.
"Well, it's very nice to meet you 'Alistair'. My name is Sam, and while I am flattered by your request to document your event, I was wondering if you could just answer some questions for me" Sam asked the question without actually using a tone of voice that would typically accompany someone making an inquiry; it sounded more like he was making a statement.
"Recently, a group identifying itself as the 'Saiya-Jin' sent out something of a gathering call in which, they claim that the BBA has been suppressing them. As the caterer in charge of providing service to the BBA do you condone the suppression of the population? Similarly, some historians have drawn connections between the archaic and now defunct 'Red Ribbon Army' of old and the more recent BBA, do you have any comments as to these claims?" Sam spoke rapid fire, making sure to give the man almost no time to answer; he didn't want to give him anytime to come up with anything but honesty.
"Note to self, speak to that 'Mayze' guy about what exactly a 'Saiyan' is and his opinion in regards to the message that was released from West City" Sam whispered to no one in particular.

"Very intuitive, I see you are, Mr. Photographer," Alaistair replied, drawing his sword as he prepared the ceremony, "I will answer your questions about the BBA's message about the Saiyan populace in a moment. First, I will need to bring this man up to service to myself and the Cherry Valley Loft. He offered services when he was a downbeat individual in the streets of the Western Capitol and these Gizard Wastelands. I, myself, am a trained swordsman in this planet's very ancient arts, but the man I met yielded more potential than I expected in an individual, but his body was so tired... So wounded. Originally, I was supposed to knight this man with the acquisition and re-opening of the Cherry Valley Loft under my ownership."
He adjusted his position, having Zucar be in front of himself. Alaistair would have to reveal his full strength... Or at the very least, the majority of it. His aura flared up, a dark-maroon in color, his amber eyes flaring into a bright gold color! He asked, power flowing in his voice, "Zucar, warrior of the saiyan race. You have proven your worth and have been dubbed worthy of being made into one of my knights. Do you accept this knighting, and with it, the power and knowledge that comes with becoming one of my knights, to serve and bring forth justice and the rules that I decree, for as long as you and I live?"
(Not the full power level being read here, as the PL needs to be added from our previous thread, but you guys understand how strong Alaistair is. Roughly on your own individual levels.)

Bing looked to Mazye slightly disappointed in his response "I don't like It, but you're right. Whatever this guy Is doing to him Isn't something we can break him out of." Bing watched as Alaistair shifted his position before addressing Zucar. The Demonic energy flowing from him Skyrocketed! Alaistairs power continued to grow as Bing stood there absolutely shocked. I knew somthing was up, his power is almost as high as Mayze's!
Bing looked down at the Kami Emblem on his gi and grasped it. This guys seems like bad news, I should step in...right? I mean that's what Kami would want Isn't It? Bing contemplated for a moment, looking up at Alaistair before looking back down at his Emblem. He wasn't sure what exactly to do, because at the current moment Alaistair hadn't actually done anything wrong.
If anyone else made a move, Bing would try his best to defend anyone he currently deemed an ally by trying to block any attacks that may come their way. (Current Allies are: Sam and temporarily Mayze)

Mayze continued to watch Zucar, tensing when he saw Alaistair pull out his sword. He shifted into fighting stance, prepared for a strike. Instead, Alaistair simply answered the young and inquisitive photographer’s question. Mayze snorted at that, apparently the man had no idea what a Saiyan was. That was odd, especially since the Saiyans nearly destroyed a city on Earth a few months back. His eyes narrowed as an aura colored dark red flared to life around Alastair. The man’s eyes started to turn a goldish color, showing that he was in fact, not a human, or at least, not a normal one. Suddenly Mayze’s red tinted scouter started beeping, detecting a sudden increase to Alaistair’s power. His eyes widened in surprised when the power level stopped increasing. Somehow the man had suppressed his true power! Mayze watched as Alaistiar powerfully spoke to Zucar, asking if he wanted to become one of his knights. He frowned at this, still hoping that Zucar would stand up for himself and join Bing and him. Of course, Mayze was positive he wouldn’t. The Saiyan must have joined Alaistair in search of power. Mayze might have done so himself when he still thirsted for revenge, but now, he simply wanted to keep his promise to his father. He glanced at Bing, his expression one of worry. He thought for a moment for speaking quietly, “ Meet me in Fukrou Forest if we manage to live through this. We need to discuss some things, plus, I need some help,” Mayze was by no means a friend of Bing, but the expression, " the enemy of enemy is my friend", rang true in this scenario.

Sam felt as if this 'Alaistair' fellow was choosing his words carefully; he had made sure to compliment him BEFORE denying his request and in Sam's mind, unsolicited compliments always came with an ulterior motive. "Maybe this guy has something to hide" he thought as he began to mentally pick apart each and every word Alaistair threw his way. It wasn't that Sam thought Alaistair was a particularly bad person or even had particularly bad intentions, but he was involved with shady people and no one who held a particularly altruistic goal chose to hide those in the shadows.
As more and more of Alaistair and Zucar's shared history was revealed, Sam made sure to memorize exactly what was being said and abandoned his default method of mental paraphrasing. Given his exceptional, but often overlooked, intellect, Sam was more than capable of committing the tale, and many other far less interesting things, to memory verbatim, but given the sheer quantity of information he tended to come across in an average day, he tended to paraphrase things even as he heard them; it was an old trick he had mastered during his time as a student. As the story wound down and Alaistair adjusted his positioning, Sam....something right in the pit of his stomach. Something...not quite right.
Suddenly, there was an enormous spike in Alaistair's ki and Sam found himself instinctively abandoning the second photo he had been setting up with Alaistair standing over Zucar and he leaped as far and as fast as he could, his own power spiking as he let it loose. Normally, Sam kept his power cut down to a fifth or, if he was trying to be particularly stealthy, even a tenth of what he was capable of exerting. However, something in Alaistair's ki seemed to demand that he prepare to defend himself. It wasn't that it had been directed at him but something felt inherently predatory and....'wrong' with what he was sensing. So, Sam had moved purely upon reflex and now found his side chosen for him. Back-flipping as he landed, Sam found himself standing to the side of the 'saiyan' who everyone kept referring to using an archaic synonym for corn.
Blinking at Alaistair and his glowing golden eyes and strange aura, Sam muttered "Huh. I finally get what 'impulse' refers to".
Turning to face corn-name and the one who appeared to be named after long since defunct, but legendary sitcom character, Sam whispered urgently
"Can the three of us agree to not let this turn into a huge brawl? Please? Assuming this plays out the way the tension in the air is suggesting it will, grudges will form, people will die and things will get....complicated; it's basically world history at this point, but giant battles between people with superpowers tends to turn out poorly for humanity!"

Well, what the hell did you think I was here for? "Yes, my lord. For as long as I live!" Zucar allowed himself to be knighted, still knowing that Bing and Mayze would probably dislike him now. Well, whatever. He didn't care. Knowledge and power would go over them any day. After all, Mayze would do the same.

"Very well," Alaistair replied, tapping the sword on Zucar's shoulders softly, "You are now, 'Sir Zucar,' of the Saiyan race. Rise and receive my blessing...!"
Alaistair whisked his sword away, grabbing Zucar's head and letting his energy flow into the saiyan's head! Memories, knowledge, and part of Alaistair's very essence flew inside him! From his age as a Kaioshin, living on the world of Kaishin, to the day his body became twisted by that wretched Demon from the southern Galaxy all those years ago, and to the days of plotting his revenge from the very depths themselves. The cries and sounds of torture that Alaistair experienced, as well as that dreaded laughter, starting off quiet, but progressively getting louder and louder that happened every day, for every year and every millennium that flew by, along with the moments of insanity Alaistair himself briefly experienced and the times where he was driven so insane, that it practically made him sane once again. Over and over and over, until the point Alaistair reclaimed what he once was, to a degree, and with the resolve tempered for a hundred thousand years, plotted his revenge and split his essence amongst the millions of souls who longed to escape that he, personally promised to release when the day came to exact revenge.
Then, came the fateful day, where Alaistair recalled all his split essence, back to his person and achieving a power so great, his presence had ripped open the boundaries between the mortal realm and Hell for but a moment... A moment long enough for Alaistair, whose power quickly diminished to what he was now, could escape! Along with the memories of the poor souls, who actually considered the twisted Kaioshin's offer like Zucar did before, but because of that Hellish torture, he accidentally slew those very servants, thinking the demonic clown had made a return to the living to reap madness once again! The sadness he felt, which still burned hotter than a Supernova itself, waiting to burst! All of these things, flew into Zucar's mind.
Alaistair removed his hand from Zucar, cleaning to his heart as he did. The sensation was all too familiar with him, and now with Zucar as well... The emptiness that came with this Blessing of Alaistair's. Alaistair needn't look at Zucar to acknowledge the power and thoughts. He could feel the core of Zucar himself, that untapped potential soon to be tapped. The devil Kaioshin turned towards the people there, looking at them to see what they had thought. He could tell immediately what they were thinking: 'This man is a monster! We need to kill him! That twisted essence of his needs to go back to where it came!'
To their visuals, and their questions unanswered and with a dusting of his suit as he stood up, he told them, "I am no monster. Everything I've worked for so far, there is a reason for it. My appearance comes from a monster who twisted my form to what it is now. What you have witnessed is my own form of knighting. By bestowing my own essence into him, he is given power and knowledge that I've come to acquire over my lifetime, which is vaster than you can imagine... We will not fight you, as your eyes speak to me, for we are not enemies. If you do, you will be attacking..."
He paused to catch his breath, loosening his suit and tie to breath easier. He continued, "If you do attack me, you will be attacking someone who recently announced that he and his workers, which also means Sir Zucar here, will be catering to the leisurely pleasures of those at the games that are happening in the Southern Capital, as of Sunday, April 12th of 2801. With it, you will make yourselves enemies of the public, with evidence of yourselves attacking me provided by myself and the bystander, who has surprising potential as a fighter himself, but chooses to be Public servant of photography and information. What's more... We are in a field of massacred men and women, who decided to go rogue, which will instantly make yourselves the perpetrators. It's currently viewed as commonplace, due to the Blue Banner Army's announcement, that saiyans are reverting back to their barbaric ways and need to be brought back to the right path. Zucar is to be the representative of those who're trying to progress forward and NOT regress to those self-destructive ways... I could point out another factor, concerning how you would be forced to eliminate the photographer before he releases this scandalous information, but I don't think it needs anymore explaining. Wouldn't you agree?"
(Twist Spirit special technique used. **Update** With the previous thread having been updated, Zucar's power level is being increased by 2194, while mine is dropping to 19745. My full base pl, coming into this, was originally 21939.)

Bing watched intently as Alaistair placed his hand on Zucars head. It seemed he had branded the Young Saiyan and placed an "A" on his Forehead. One very noticeable Side Effect of this branding was that Zucars power had shot up significantly, while Alaistairs went down a tiny bit. He listened intently as Alaistair spoke his piece. He gave a stern expression as he replied. "I'll believe you for now Alaistair, but just because you say you aren't a monster won't prove anything." Bing took the sky and was about to take off but before he did, he had to address his Allies.
Bing looked to the Photographer who had jumped to his side of the battlefield. His power had spiked, reaching something similar to Bings power when he first left his little Island. He tried to re-assure him. "Don't worry, This isn't about to get violent." He looked over to Mayze and replied to his earlier comment "Whatever It is you need to discuss, I'll be waiting in the Forest." He looked back to The Photographer and smiled "I can tell you've got potential, If you ever need any help, meet me in Fukurou Forest and I'll be glad to help." And finally he looked back to Alaistair and Zucar. "Expect me to be at those games, I'll be keeping a close eye on you and your 'Knight' " with those words he flew off, In need of some time to think.

Mazye watched as Zucar submitted to Alaistair’s knighting. He frowned, wanting to intervene, but decided not too. Zucar would just attack him if he intervened, and to be honest, he didn’t really want to kill the foolish, young Saiyan. He didn’t really know why, but he just didn’t want to kill him. He would if he was forced too, but he knew this fight, and by extension, Zucar’s probable death, could be avoided.
Mayze started to feel pain emanating from his stomach. The attack from Bing earlier had definitely done some internal damage. Despite that, it wouldn’t take that long to heal, only about a few hours of rest. Then he’d be back to training, and learning how to control his tail. He shook his head, and ignored the pain
His eyes narrowed as he watched Alaistair put his hand on Zucar’s head. After a few moments, Alaistair removed his hand from Zucar. The young warrior now appeared to have some sort of mark etched onto his head. Mayze’s frowned deepend, not liking this at all.
Alaistair then started to speak, stating that he shouldn’t be attacked, because Mayze and Bing would make themselves enemy of the public, and the Blue Banner Army. While Mayze could care less about such things, he knew that Bing probably didn’t want to ruin his goody two shoes image. Alaistar then went on to talk about some kind of games that Mayze could honestly care less about. Lastly, he talked about how the Saiyans were reverting back to their old barbaric ways, something Mayze viewed as a good thing.
Mayze was about to speak, when Bing started to first, saying that he believed Alaistair. He said a few other things, and took off to the skies, flying away from the wastelands. Mayze’s eyes widened, surprised by his sudden leave.
He turned towards the two other beings right in front of him, and said, “This isn’t over.” with that said, he left, flying after Bing.

The power and knowledge surging through his head felt... felt... amazing... His power dramatically increased, and Zucar could feel it going through his whole body, from head to toe. The knowledge was even better. He saw Alastair from his age of being a Kaioshin, living on to the world of Kaioshin, to the day Alastair became twisted by that wretched Demon from the southern galaxy many many years ago, and to the days of plotting his revenge from the very depths themselves. The sounds of torture Alastair experienced, as well as the dreaded laughter starting off quiet but getting louder and louder over time, that happened every day for every millennium that came by, along with moments of insanity Alastair himself briefly experienced and the times where he was driven so insane, that it actually made him sane once again. Over and over and over, until the point Alastair reclaimed what he once, to a degree, and with the resolve tempered for a hundred thousand years, plotted his revenge and split his essence amongst the millions of souls who longed to escape that he, personally promised to release when the day came to exact revenge. As he was being marked, Zucar had a flashback about his life. From where he was born, where his mother was killed and where his father had raised him. [See my training 'History of Zucar'] All of this was inserted into Zucar's brain like a USB stick that had every bit of information about a computer in the world. God, he even felt smarter and... well, you'd call it 'posh'.
The others weren't so accepting of it. He didn't care. He was going to catch up with them soon. Suddenly he felt himself tired, falling to the ground. "What's... what's ha-happening to me?" He felt his whole body burning, his head considerably more. It wore off fairly quickly as he felt the inscribing on his forehead. There was a dent that felt a lot like the letter 'A', which must've meant Alastair. Zucar loved his new power increase, and he realized his lord had also had some power taken out of him by giving Zucar the energy. He stood back up, folding his arms and standing next to Alastair. Zucar spoke out to Bing, Mayze, and the photographer especially. "This is what power is, friends. You're all so... clouded in that weight training, while I've taken advantage of this opportunity. I now know the secrets of the universe, which you will never know until you come to the end of your days." As Zucar saw them leaving, he thought him and his master should too. "Lord Alastair, may we please go back to that 'loft' you speak of now?" Zucar awaited for his master to leave, and with that Zucar would follow him. [Thread Exit, PL please.]

As things wound down and the others began to leave the area, Sam removed his camera from around his neck and stowed it away in the carrying case he kept attached to one of his belt loops. The carrying case was a simple affair of black canvas with Sam's name written in white-out, so as to deface it and make it less of a target for thieves. So far, Sam wasn't certain whether it was his inhuman physical abilities or his, admittedly, juvenile preventative measures, but so far, the camera had served him faithfully for two years and had yet to suffer any sort of mishaps or disappearances. Swallowing his fear, Sam began to make his way over to Alaistair, doing his best to suppress any of the physical manifestations of the fear he was experiencing.
This wasn't the fear of the rational mind; this was not his mind taking into account what it had encountered in the past and making assumptions based upon that information. This was fear born purely of instinct. Sam was venturing forth into the darkness that swallowed prey whole and left the bones to lie where they may, meat having been sucked clean off, leaving them dry and white under the sun. This was the fear that told you to be cautious in the dark, even if you knew no danger skulked. This was the fear that told you to beware the edge, though you knew how to walk a straight line. This fear was irrational and cold and it sat in Sam's stomach like a lodestone, making each and every step Sam took towards Alaistair feel like he was walking a mile in slow motion.
But this fear would not stop him. The fear asked Sam to slow, and he did, and then, as he neared Alaistair, a mere ten feet from him, it begged him to stop and he refused. He was Sam-Mitch Anjips. He had screamed defiance into the face of a soulless Goliath and sneered when the behemoth chose to bellow back. He had brought corporations low with only his trusty camera, his tattered sweatpants and a tip from a fellow user of TumbleBook. He dealt with fear each and every day and he certainly wasn't going to let a little thing like a purely instinctual desire to run with his tail between his legs stop him from doing the things he set out to do.
So as he came within arm's reach of Alaistair, Sam held out his hand and did his best to smile. It looked a little bit more like he was feeling vaguely ill given his blanched hue and weak grin. "T-thank you for the information and your opinion Alaistair. Make sure to keep up to date at 'Oneshot!' on TumbleBook or 'Oneshot Dot TV' for videos." Sam would then turn and walk woodenly towards his car, doing his best to hide the fact that his knees were shaking ever so slightly.
"I really have to start thinking these things through BEFORE I show up"

The two warriors decided to take their leave, the saiyan telling Alaistair that it wasn't over. To that, the Devil Kaioshin replied, "So long as you keep that mentality, you will indeed become the enemy of progress and this meeting will result in a cataclysm that will collapse what sanity all the people have strived for."
The other told him that he would agree with him for now, and to that, Alaistair replied, "This is only 1 moment I will show that I am no monster. Come to the games, and there, you will see that I am speaking truth."
Zucar, having regained consciousness, and with the knowledge he gained, asked Alaistair if they could return. Alaistair told him, "Soon. First, I must calm the photographer here and have him call various hospitals to find any of the poor souls who've managed to survive... Or at the very least, bring back the bodies to their cities and have them buried properly."
Alaistair allowed the boy with the camera approach him, who proceeded to 'thank him' about his opinion, and proceeded to give him information about the network he worked for. Alaistair shook the boy's hand, telling him, "My apologies on the terrifying form. When there are warriors like that, one must show the respective force, for them to understand. As for your questions about the saiyans, please come by my parlor later, the Cherry Valley Loft, as well as recommend that you become aware of the world and its network. Saiyans, Arcosians, Namekians, and many others are as common on the planet Earth as humans are. There are plenty of networks details what they are... I would recommend acquiring one of these nifty devices," Alaistair explained, tapping the scouter, "These machines have been updated very much over the past few thousand years since their first appearance on Earth, thanks to the Capsule Corporation and the continued contact with our Alien friends."
Alaistair released the boy's hand, watching the boy walk back to his car. As he did, Alaistair called out, "Oh, one more thing Photographer! Get plenty of water and get some food in you! You'll be fine when you've done that."
The devi Kaioshin turned, floating up. He looked at Zucar, telling him, "Zucar, we are leaving... I've much to teach you about service, so that we are prepared to serve those coming to the games."
(Alaistair is leaving and going for Power Level. Do note, my base power level in the mini profile is not to be effected by the ability's usage when updated, as everyone'll need to know my power level, in case I recall the mark(s) in the future to go to that full strength. My signature is going to be updated every time this happens, as well as the faction page.)
