Hey everyone,
As some might know I been curious about the Crane Sensei role. Since I'd really like Reikiko to learn Kikoho for plot purpose, the fact that the current Crane Sensei seems absent is the reason why I made this thread. But first let me explain a bit more about Rei's plot.
Rei is part of a complicated project known as Project Chimera, a experiment where 8 Bio-androids with the potential to be strong have been raised with the same goal in mind: Obtain the ability to become the perfect being. While Reikiko already absorbed 2 of her sisters, the recent events with Scargot have slowly mellowed her, turning Reikiko into less of a predator and more of a Tsundere wild card. Nevertheless, Reikiko's recent exposure to the overwhelming strength of her sister Keiko, who deployed the Kikoho to obliterate any defense that Rei could have created, and the following episode that involved Reikiko narrowly surviving an absorbing struggle with her sister, the girl is pretty much obsessed with obtaining power.
This brings me to the subject of this topic: The Crane Sensei. If I read right then Tomare is the Crane Sensei, but I also was told (unless I misunderstood) that one can challenge a role. This leads into my current idea.
Story-wise Reikiko is trying to track down the Crane Sensei through a series of training threads where she is on an adventure that involves challenging friends or students of the Crane Sensei. Finally, upon confrontation with the Crane Sensei (either Tomare if they return by then or an npc) Reikiko will be revealed to possess the genes of one of the past sensei (her human bio gene) what explains her aptitude for the martial arts style. If Tomare returns in time Reikiko will merely ask to learn the Kikiho, but if it's an NPC Reikiko will end up in a situation where she'll take over the sensei role.
For those who wonder about the idea of having a crazy midget like Reikiko become a sensei. I think that Reikiko's attitude fits a lot with the original school of the Dragon Ball setting. If I recall right they are shown to be rather ruthless, doing anything for the sake of winning (for example cheating during the tournament arc) and yet also known for their brutal power.
Reikiko's attitude is a lot similar to that. She can be incredibly ruthless in combat, Is willing to go extremely far to obtain more power, follows a 'The end justifies the means' approach and possesses a decent amount of power.
She also would be more than willing to teach anyone, should they be able to handle her attitude & trials (and knowing that Rei lives at the lookout, you can expect some fun trials.) The fact that a chaotic neutral might be the sensei, would offer a lot of different players an opportunity to learn from her (since I believe the Turtle School Sensei doesn't teach baddies~ But I might be wrong about that)
