Jingle Village (Seven Days until the 9th Centennial Conference)
Mei flew deep into the cold wasteland that surrounded her and Oguma and then headed south east towards Jingle Village. She could not sense Akio following them so she slowed down a bit, but not too much. It took her an hour to fly to the village and when she landed her energy was spent causing her to change back into her brown haired, brown eyed human form. Oguma was still fortunately breathing on her back and she let him down gently. He blinked his eyes once and a rush of color came back into his life as he found himself lying in a coat on the cold, hard ground. Standing over him was Mei yet soon Dai, Pei Pan, and then Choi Pan came over to him.
They all looked down at him then at Mei before asking, "Who did this to him?"
Mei answered with tears in her eyes, "A human," as she bent over Oguma and began to use her healing on him.
Oguma winced in pain it felt like a few of his ribs had been broken by the punches because every time he breathed it hurt. "I'm going to make that dumb animal pay," he voiced as he clenched his fist.
"Not if I get to him first," Dai voiced, as he pulled out his giant two handed sword and pointed it at Oguma's nose. "This human has intrigued me."
Choi Pan then stepped in the way of the two brothers, his red hair blowing in the wind, and voiced, "Nobody is going after the human who attacked Oguma. We don't know much about him and we really should be focusing on more important matters like the tournament. Now while you all were doing other things I took the liberty to count our Zeni and I must say we do not have enough to even buy a house on this planet we wish to conquer."
He tossed the bag to Oguma who weakly stretched his left hand up and caught it, "Oguma is our strongest fighter as far as I know and from the sounds of it has actually fought some decent modern humans. So I'm giving him all of our money to use at the tourney. I forget how much is in there, but use it for something good."
Oguma nodded and this would be the end of the matter. Both Pei and Dai (who would have rather taken things into his own hands) picked up the young demon Oguma and carried him into a poorly put together shack at the edge of the village. Mei ran after the two to continue sealing Oguma's wounds and Choi Pan followed behind them all. He would rub his hands together and think about the future. If Oguma could stand up this well to an intelligent, modern human his parents would be happy and he was certain with proper training he would be able to handle the tournament coming in seven days. That said, Choi Pan would give Oguma time to rest for the rest of the evening and that would be final. Nobody was to disturb him during this time, except for Mei, since she was the only one who could heal him.
