Hiya everyone! Max here, and this time around I figured that since Souls is about to close and Turbo is about to open, maybe I should make some threads to celebrate this grand exit and entrance. The first few will consist of Souls-related stuff, then the last few will be Turbo-related. To give you an example of how this is gonna work, I am gonna kick off the series with this thread, and as you can read from the title, I will post one up daily until I run out of idea or until Turbo releases.
Now that I have all of the formalities out of the way, let's get on to the meat of the thread. Today I wish for everyone to tell about their favorite character out of their own lot and their favorite moment that that character was in. If you can't pick one out of your babies, then just give a moment from them all. I will start:
Although I feel like all four of my characters kinda sucked cause they didn't really do much, I guess the one I feel attached to the most is my first, Maxxie. Definitely the most memorable moment is when she walked up on Kanassa and pretty much took it with no effort (then I archived her the next week...).

Well, in my case- my most memorable RP character on souls was bell. I barely did anything with him sadly, but I think the brief moment where his anger and caution exploded outward in the beppa de was pretty cool. I managed to turn a one on one around for a post despite being heavily outmatched. I was also that last remaining sse member alive (or rather, fighting- now that I remember capper)

Well shit, guess I'll throw my hat into the ring here (also cause I apparently haven't logged in here since early december, christ)
First of all to you any of you that may be reading this:
Thank you all so much for making this site and community as great as it is! I never knew that you all would turn out to become such an important part of my life when I initially joined the site, and I honestly couldn't go without you guys now. All of you helped create something beautiful here, and I hope we can do the same for Turbo. There's been moments where I've actually caught myself getting teary-eyed behind my laptop realizing that I will soon have to say goodbye to this site and all of it's characters, that's how much I care about this place.
Buuuut ofcourse everyone is biased, and I obviously care most about my own characters :^ )
My favorite moment from my own character's was, as some of you may have guessed, Kaza's redemption as a person. Having to write her finally finding someone that cared and knew what she felt hurt so much, and it's the first (and hopefully not last) moment in my RPing career where I've actually had to cry. The fact that Kaza's character got an actual ending that wasn't rushed or forced makes me immensely proud, so I guess that's another favorite moment.
I'm proud of all of you though, ya'll did a fantastic job making this place as memorable as it will be.

This is fun! I'm excited for Turbo just as much as y'all, so I wouldn't mind taking a look back with you guys. It's kinda hard for me to honestly pick an absolute favorite. I like Xylo a lot, but Breech is fun too, and I wouldn't be here without Bing. Vocado and Kuroma were fun one-off characters too... Every one of them had a lot of heart and thought put into them (except for Muck, but that guy never got accepted so we won't talk about him). If I had to pick a moment that stands out in my mind, I'd be torn. Of my favorite moments, Bing holds a lot. His fight with Realigner Red (all three of them), his duel with Zucceta in the Tree of Might, or that moment after his cyborgification where he finally breaks free after trying to kill both Zucceta AND Vi-Poi in the same battle. There's some awesome moments, and I can remember how tense and excited I was writing all of them. My other characters, though, I always more enjoyed seeing how other people felt in the moment. When Xylo revived on Namek, seeing everyone's reaction when he attacked while the Porunga wishes were happening made me feel like I had done my job as a villain, regardless of if I won or lost that DE (I did win  , but that's beside the point) Breech was a blast in his own way too. It was my only foray into "low-tier" villainy, and I'd say SCAR pulled that off so well. Taking over Konats in the shadows, and legitimately lying hidden for so many months felt so cool. Like we pulled off some big heist. People might say the end was a bit wonky, what with Konats being trampled over by some Super Saiyans and a vengeful Konatsian King, but I felt like it was a fitting end for SCAR. Only the mightiest could tear them down! Vocado was different, though. I originally intended him to just be a prison guard for the Knutts RP board, but nobody ever showed up, so I started going places. It didn't really end well for him, but I feel like his downfall from mighty Saiyan Elite to depressed, near-suicidal drunkard on some vacation planet is definitely... Unique. ... Gosh, I sure did gush about my own characters. Sorry if I went on a bit too long. I've been writing here for nearly four years, and at this point its starting to feel like a part of my life I'll always have with me. The friends I've made, and the stories I was able to tell with all of you have been some absolutely breathtaking stuff. You can't find this much heart in any book on the shelf, I'll tell you that much. I hope we'll get to hang out all through Turbo's life-span too. |

Oh, so were doing this... Cool!
Well, my girl, Jala is obviously my favorite character ever written up and I love and adore this character. My 2 favorite scenes are first with Snakki. My chance at my first kill and I decided to give a character arc that I never gave for the original. She was gonna kill him, then had a change of heart, gonna try to be a better person and be good.
Second favorite scene is my DE; the first (and last) DE I've been in. It was terrifying, exciting, and awesome. It was a new experience and had a LOT of people that could shit on me and I was able t survive. Taught me NOT to be a dumbass and go creating DE's willy nilly. It was pretty cool and I enjoyed making it.
Also, cool idea max! ^w^

OH! OH! Me next! I didn't really get as far with Pota as I wanted but my favorite part was when his Twin brother Onio and his Father Tato came to Earth in an attempt to hunt down Pota and all his friends. Pota and Callion, after an intense fight with his brother, worked together to take down Tato who had tormented Pota most of his life. Me and Callion coordinated in this thread a lot both in the thread itself and in the PMs working out important details that really made a huge difference in it's quality, At least in my personal opinion. It was also the first thread where I used events inside one thread to create a totally separate Solo Thread, Hence the battle between Pota and his brother (#SiblingRivalry). But what made this thread important was it was a source of great character development for both Pota and Callion to the point where having fun with it was just a big fat bonus to the whole thing so it made me really happy and proud that I could create a thread like that. On another note I want to thank you all for a lot of great times on this site and hope that we can create some more on Turbo. Special Thanks to all the mods who did an amazing job running this site as well as Gira, Callion, Pracross Yendatta, Chili Pepper, Nabel, Sansho, Kiraburu Sarutobi, and Articho RevilleYou guys were very central roles in Pota's development and also helped irl when things got rough for me even if you don't realize it. NOW ENOUGH SAPPY CRAP!! IT'S TIME FOR TURBO!!! |
