I have all the regular things down pat, just have a few questions regarding a specific physical trait my character bears, which only really serves to hamper his progression.
Trying to build a goofy character in the vein of Dragon Ball much more-so than DBZ, as I am a far larger fan of the former's goofy-but-heartfelt storylines.
My character expands like a balloon if he doesn't take his magical medicine. This medicine would come pre-packaged with him, of course, but only a small amount would be left. This is the basis of his first adventure: allocating more of these beans, dumplings, bamboo stalks, whatever.
These are really just maguffins this will serve to push this lowlife in the adventuring direction, forcing him to grow his own emotions as well as others.
My question is regarding these maguffins-- more specifically: would my character be allowed to have these magical beans (which at some point could potentially fetch a high price) to begin with?
As well as that, when he expands, he takes on a drastic increase in weight, which could crush normal people and cause extensive damage.
(Really am a noob on forum RPs, and was just dying to hop in. Could use a bit of counselling, but, as a retired roleplay owner and veteran DM, I can understand how tedious this process can be.)

Just realized it'd be utterly pointless for me to work on a character in this old forum when it will be transitioning. That's the benefit of reading, kids and illiterates!

Hey there Fugu-Achoo I like the concept, and I hope you use it on the Sequel Site coming to life very soon. Although I'm fairly certain we can't have you wasting zeni on an item specialized to you, you could perhaps instead be prescribed a specific item in the in-game shop? We're going to be adding a handful more consumable items for "Project: Turbo", so maybe one of them would fit if you flavored it slightly.

Considering my character has a life built around greed, I would be content in having to pay an exorbitant amount for my item, it would be funny when my character gains a huge amount of money through a get-rich-quick scheme and loses it all to get his prescription filled.
The overall theme of my character is the horrible effects of a life built around greed and how this greed will drive every interaction, each trick to try and obtain more objects becoming more and more intense as the story wears on.
So, considering this "medicine" is the drive that begins his story, it would make sense if (at least in the beginning) it was really expensive. \
(And then I find a way to produce it myself once I move onto greater roleplaying pastures?)
I would be fine with it being an item that already exists, but I would be even more fine with having an item that is specialized to me be featured in the shop but it really doesn't do anything for anyone other than me, that'd be pretty funny.
Or maybe it could do something for someone? Maybe it'd have a quarter of the effects of a senzu bean only for human characters? Or maybe it works as a sort of antidepressant or something?
