The round had ended, as it had before: in a blurr, that he couldn’t tell what had happened. He had hobbled out of the arena, landing before Yadaran. The ogre would respond by taking his arm, and promptly cutting through it with a blade of ki. The charred knub would fall to the ground, and a collection of millions of tiny threads would explode forth, connecting together and weaving into another limb.
“Thank you…” he’d rasp, but Yadaran would stop him. “You bet to much on her ability to charge, and dampening the attack. You should’ve focused on stopping the attack all together, or preventing any of it from damaging you. You would’ve been able to have gotten out of the way if you hadn’t exhausted all of your energy on that blast.” He said, frowning. Tomoka would nod, before Yadaran would beam a new set of armor upon him. “Make this next battle a decisive one.”
He had said that, and now he sat on the sidelines, in preparation. He would continue to look at the information on individual combatants. It appeared as if though Pota would be the victory once his fight ended… and it looked like the princess had been defeated. “A pity…” he would say aloud, sighing. “Ending this tournament with a battle between a low class runt who pledged himself to the enemy… and the sister of the Queen Herself. Nothing could be better. Course, the birds wouldn't care.”
He’d sit back, closing his eyes. The semifinals would begin soon, and than the final battle to determine it all would begin. He would walk away, from all of this, stronger than he ever had been. This tournament wouldn't end any other way. Besides, who'd stop him from simply killing the victor if he lost, stealing the wish, and than running back to hell? He couldn't think of anyone.
