Ornee scratched the back of his feathered head. The time patroller who had started to announce the matches had gone missing. It was now the varga's job to do it, but he knew barely any of these fighters."Uh... In the Middle League we have Koldar Frost and Pin battling in the quarter finals!"
ROUND THREE of the Middle League's Multiversal Tournament has begun! Player Versus Player Matches have a set 48 hour timer for posts. Failing to post in time will result in disqualification. After ten days pass (*10 minutes IC), if a knockout, ring out, and so on is not accomplished, judges will decide a winner. Without further adieu, get to punching each other.

Ever since Koldar's last match, the old Arcosian had been dozing off a bit, while also eating some of the dishes the Vargas provided them, dishes that Koldar himself knew from Arcose and Earth! On top of this he'd been waiting with eager anticipation. There was no official notice, as far as he knew, that he'd won his match against the strong, but disjointed believer known as Tulip. She had promise, and despite being a saiyan by blood, she was someone Koldar felt the Empire could communicate with if the Earth were to try negotiating with those from Arcose! Certainly not the android, though..!
Koldar's name being called out, as well as another was brought out. Someone by the name of Pin? There were two who went by the same name, probably alternative versions of the other. The old man couldn't care. He was nearing his goal, his chance at his wish! It was only a matter of breaking the next few opponents. Just like Tulip and that weaker version Zexama, so too shall this Pin! Koldar leapt to the stage, made of some sort of stone that was cut into slabs, his arms at his side and a stern expression upon his face as he waited for this next one to arrive on this stage. He scanned the sections, aiming to figure out which Universe section they were coming from.
"Which are you... And where are you from," Koldar thought to himself, unsure as to whom was this 'Pin'!

The Mechanical Punisher was heralded by the roaring of his motorcycle’s engines and the heat from its flaming wheels. He rode out onto the battlefield once more, his face forever that frozen mask of contempt. He would fight an Arcosian this time, and he had to admit - at least to himself - he was looking forward to it. It had been quite some time since he’d murdered one of those filthy lizards. How he longed to see that purple blood once more, to purge another filthy beast from whatever universe it hailed from.
As he dismounted his machine, the Arcosian dared to look upon him directly. Pin turned to face Koldar slowly, drawing his shotgun from where it sat on his hip.
“You will join your people in hell, if only for a moment.”
Pin waited no longer, and leveled his shotgun on Koldar. He pulled the trigger, and a spread of ki blasts erupted forth from its barrel, hurtling towards the Arcosian. He hadn’t hunted an Arcosian in quite some time. He wondered if he could still disassemble one blindfolded.

The roar of a machine caught Koldar's attention. He looked to where it was from: A section where those damn saiyans seemed to number greatly! Their uproar was brought on with the rider of this machine, a motorbike of sorts. They pulled a shotgun out from their hip, pointing it at Koldar and telling him that he'd be joining his people in hell. Koldar smiled, hands brought up in front of him with knuckles cracking against his palms, as he uttered, "That's a lot of talk coming from a pickled brain..!"The buzzer didn't even go off to signify the round's start when the machine man shot his gun. Its bullets were made of his energy, ripping forward at the Arcosian. To Koldar, it was nothing new! Energy wreathed around his arms and legs, his arms immediately covering the upper body and head from damage! The shots were splintered just like that of a shotgun, pelting Koldar's Arcosian abdomen. Didn't pierce his carapace, but he certainly felt it sting a bit! "Gonna be a bit of a hassle to fight in close range," Koldar thought to himself, leaping forward despite the thought, "I'll persevere though..!"His leap was swift, with an elbow aiming to spear the walking brain jar's very weapon! Whether he'd hit or not, upon landing, Koldar would whip his tail around his shoulder to strike at the glass containing the brain. He was gonna be in for a hell of a fight against the Arcosian. ( Mechanical Punisher Pin Koldar makes guards on his shins and arms to block the buckshot, taking some to the abdomen before rushing in with a leaping elbow to the shotgun itself, followed up by a tail whip to the brain jar!) Pin watched as the Arcosian created a sort of body armor from its own ki, blocking the bulk of his shotgun blast. No matter, that had been but a warning shot more than an actual attack. He’d wanted to know whether the Arcosian had any sense, of if it would try to prove how strong and tough it was by just absorbing the attack in full. Pin had been impressed by its defense, though was not surprised that the accursed thing didn’t just get out of the damn way like any other sensible fighter. When the Arcosian launched himself at Pin, he was ready. A flying elbow driven towards his shotgun - it was clever to disarm an opponent, but this creature was not clever. This attack was a diversion, and so Pin let it through. His shotgun clattered to the Arena floor, sliding over to where the motorcyle sat idling. When Koldar’s tail came around towards his braincase, Pin dropped to one knee, ducking the attack. At the same time, the Punisher released the locks on his Gaoler’s Chains, which slid from his back like metallic snakes and wrapped themselves around Koldar’s tail. Pin stood and shifted his weight ever so slightly, and the chains followed, pulling Koldar by the tail and attempting to toss him past the ring’s edge and into the out-of-bounds area. _________________________________________________ Pin was disarmed, but dodged Koldar Frost ‘s tail! The shotgun was smashed with Koldar's attack, but when his tail came around, Pin dipped under the attack and released these strange chains from his back that wrapped around Koldar's tail! He was then pulled, being flung to the side to try and ring him out. The android was trying to mess with him, wasn't he? The moment he was released, Koldar shot a hefty ki blast toward out of bounds, stopping him just feet away from Pin with its force. He lifted his hands up before spinning around with another elbow strike lunging toward the kneeling Pin's shoulder. Koldar's tail kept his body in balance with his bending legs, should the android try something like tripping him. "Gotta keep in mind that this guy's a android. He's gonna have lots of hidden gizmos around him. These chains and that shotgun are just the small parts," Koldar thought to himself, "Definitely don't want to discredit these chains either... I'll have to get him to show me what he can do with these attacks while evading those things."( Mechanical Punisher Pin Koldar is flung into the air, but he fires a ki blast to the out of bounds area, to stop himself from flying out of range before diving backward to elbow slam Pin's shoulder! The fluid that surrounded Pin’s brain bubbled in dissatisfaction as Koldar so easily avoided being thrown from the ring. Sure, Pin wasn’t surprised, but a part of him had really been hoping it would. Embarrassing the Arcosian would have brought him even greater joy than killing it. Now he was only left with the latter. He would just have to be okay with that. He was definitely okay with that. When Koldar lunged towards him with his elbow outstretched once more, Pin waited. If the Arcosian’s reaction time was as good as it seemed, Pin would need to bait him into overextending, overreaching. He would have to make the vile thing think it had a better chance than it did. So he waited, and allowed the elbow strike to land - but only just. As it struck his shoulder, he rolled with the impact to help minimize the damage it dealt while giving the illusion that he’d been knocked away. As he came out of the roll and got to his feet, Pin sent a series of whipping attacks Koldar’s way with his chains, striking at him with the manacled ends. He could tell that this opponent, like most others, was unsure of exactly how to combat his chain ‘limbs’. He would press this advantage as much as he could, hoping to frustrate Koldar into making a mistake. ___________________________________________________ Pin is lashing out at Koldar Frost with his chains once more! A connection that was rolled off was had, with the chains coming in at Koldar! He retreated the elbow, maintaining his balanced position and sought to clash with the chains. They were striking like whips, the Arcosian smacking most away in this flurry, while also having chosen to grab one every now and again to let it take the blow from another chain. Koldar wasn't unfamiliar with attacks like this. They were many, but in the end, the quality of the strikes were weak to him!
"Lets see if this guy's chains regrow, since he likes to use them," Koldar thought to himself, quickly dropping a hand down towards Pin's back, the guard on the arms shifting upwards and forming a ball of explosive energy. It blasted out at point blank, Koldar sliding on the ground with his feet and tail holding him up as he got distance from Pin. He slammed a hand on the ground, giving himself the force needed to stand back up and come to stop several yards away. A dust cloud had formed where they just were, masking what had happened to the Android. He continued to think, "If those chains are blown away, he'll have to start using some other means. If not... Then chances are, those are his real weapons, which'll have be removed like a jellyfish's barbed tentacles..."

Koldar defended himself readily against Pin’s barrage of chain whips, sometimes using the chains themselves to block an attack. Clever, but certainly bullheaded - to wrestle an octopus by grabbing its arms would be an ill-advised strategy. Fortunately for Koldar, Pin was not an octopus, and so he allowed this confidence to go unpunished for now. Quickly, Koldar closed the distance and unleashed an energy attack at Pin’s back. A great cloud of smoke and dust was kicked up as the attack landed, and Koldar used the force of it to create some distance between the two fighters. Pin had been staggered, nearly falling to one knee by the positioning of the blast. Whatever Koldar’s plan had been, it didn’t appear to go quite as he’d anticipated, unless the plan was to give Pin distance and cover and trade another couple of bruises with the Android. Pin used the smoke to reposition himself, relying on his robotic nature to go undetected by his opponent. He crept off to one side of Koldar, approaching his motorcycle where his shotgun lay. Pin knelt to pick up the weapon, then aimed it at the Arcosian. Toying with the Arcosian had been a fun idea, but Pin was quickly growing sick of the creature’s face. He began to load energy into the shotgun, charging it up for a more significant attack. _____________________________________________ Pin was blasted by Koldar Frost! It seemed as though the mark hit, Koldar's opponent not having moved out of the smoke for some time. A weakness, perhaps? The Arcosian brought his hands up, partly bending his knees and propping his tail behind. He wasn't too sure if this individual could sense energy. He could certainly use it, and being around such powerful foes for himself, the Arcosian anticipated that this would be the case. "He doesn't like to use his own power that much," Koldar thought to himself, "He could've tried tripping me before but he didn't. Might be some sort of bait. Just gotta focus reacting and hitting where it counts!"The back on this guy would be hus target, despite the chains being there. This would be his target! He had still yet to realize that Pin had slipped out of the smoke through the back. ( Mechanical Punisher Pin Koldar is building up his energy, looking toward the smoke as ge waits for Pin to come out. His experience leads him to believe Pin isn't going to try fighting in fist fight, using the chains to keep at a distance. He plans to react and break Pin's back, the moment he comes out the smoke, not realizing Pin already slipped out!) (Eps Purah Kahnsh, level 1 (N1): Turn 1 charge.) (KP: 3/3)

Pin looked on as Koldar stood and waited. He watched as the Arcosian began to gather his own energy. Pin cursed silently. Based on the energy readings he was getting off Koldar, whatever he was charging would likely match Pin’s shotgun blast. A decision had to be made. Wait, put more energy into the shotgun, and hope that he can continue to go unnoticed, or launch his attack now, hoping that the element of surprise might get him past the Arcosian’s defenses? The answer was clear. To wait could only bring ruin. Never load all your shells into one barrel. Pin reassessed his aim. At first he’d aimed for Koldar’s center mass. But now he reconsidered. Much like Saiyans, Arcosians were very fond of their tails. While those tails weren’t nearly as sensitive, any major damage to or loss of the tail was a major blow - both to the opponent’s strength and their morale. Pin adjusted his aim down by a series of degrees, choosing to now focus his shotgun’s blast on Koldar’s tail. With any luck he could blow that disgusting appendage clear off. He pulled the trigger, and a massive burst of deep purple energy erupted forth from the shotgun’s barrel, hurtling through the air towards Koldar. ______________________________ Pin fired [N1] Shotgun Blast, charged to 66% at Koldar Frost ! It was quiet in the ring, aside from the rising energy of the silently observing Koldar. At this point, he figured the android would've recovered, but he was not anticipating that he had already done so, having slipped out to his motorcycle and gotten himself a new shotgun! By the time Koldar realized, a blast instead of energetic buckshot came rushing at him, the tail being his target. This Pin guy must've figured he was vulnerable there... The fool! Koldar shifted his foot toward the smoke, the tail being brought forward. His energy pooled to the tip of his tail and with a crack, Koldar whipped the tail at the blast! The power behind it caused Pin's shotgun blast to burst like a bubble, the explosive kinetic energy in it neutralizing! It fizzled out very much like a soapy bubble around Koldar, the Arcosian smirking and asking Pin, "Well played, I must say, to target my tail. Yet, you're not too keen on Arcosian physiology, are you boy? Let me give you a course on that..!"The moment he finished, he cracked the ground with his step and was upon Pin in an instant! Strikes towards the torso would be given, almost surgical in how accurate Koldar was aiming them. A quick jab to Pin's left eye with his right, followed by a hook to his right collar bone with his back hand, a kick to Pin's knee to knock out his footing that would either dislocate or crack the leg so it'd bend more inward, and with a lunging knee strike to Pin's chest cavity were what were sent out! Koldar was going to start ramping up he engines, now that he knew more about this Pin and his preferred fighting method..! ( Mechanical Punisher Pin Koldar's finally realized that Pin had snuck out and retaliates to Pin's incoming blast by sending all his built up energy to his tail and whipping it into the center of the shotgun blast, effectively neutralizing it! He then commends, and mocks, Pin for his his attempt before blindingly rushing Pin and aims to deal the strikes specified in the last paragraph! Confidence is present.) It turned out that whatever Koldar had been charging could be launched directly from his tail. A miscalculation on Pin’s part to be sure, but well within acceptable victory parameters. He was, after all, coming into these fights with minimal intel on his targets. There had to be some margin of error taken into consideration. Once Koldar had mitigated Pin’s shotgun blast, he was upon the android with a furious barrage of physical melee attacks. Some aimed at Pin’s torso, some at his joints, some generally aimed at what would be points of physical weakness on an organic opponent. Pin raised his arms to block, and shifted his weight to dodge, but some of the attacks did get through. Still, he had to wonder if the Arcosian realized that he was up against a machine. That his attacks for areas like the collar bone or even the knee would be far less effective against an android than they would a living, breathing creature. Perhaps it was just more of that Arcosian hubris. Regardless, Pin waited for the right moment, a pause in the attacks in order to counter with his own. He started with a punch to Koldar’s stomach, followed by an upward elbow strike to the face, and then a series of knee strikes starting at the legs and getting progressively higher on the Arcosian’s body. Finally, with the highest knee strike aimed at the face, Pin would plant his metal foot against Koldar’s chest and use it to launch himself up and backwards, flipping over his motorcycle. He grasped the bike in both hands, lifting it high over his head. The engine roared, and the wheels began to spin - clearly Pin could control the motorcycle remotely on some level. He swung the bike forward, driving its flaming wheel, spinning mercilessly, into Koldar’s face. _____________________________________________ Pin has counter-attacked Koldar Frost ! The metal crunched with Koldar's blows, but it didn't appear as though they were having an effect on Pin's maneuvering. While he was managing to strike the joints, the android's body didn't get detrimented. A punch got sent to Koldar's gut at the moment he connected his knee to Pin's blocking hand. The Arcosian would manage to bring his own hand to block that punch, balancing on one foot. However, Pin released Koldar's knee and jabbed his elbow at his chin! Koldar staggered back, recovering his balance to see Pin encroach with knee strikes. The first was toight to block with hands, but the rest became easy. Koldar only stared with raised eyebrow, a questioning gaze given to this robot who then stepped on Koldar's forearms and pushing off to land upon his bike, revving it up and bucking it up to shove its flaming wheel in Koldar's face! The Arcosian darted to Pin's right, the heat of the flaming wheel felt on faded pink flesh though the mark would be missed! Koldar grasped at Pin's face, aiming to get a hold of it and slam Pin in the ground. Pin showed Koldar that he didn't like hand to hand, even with that sturdy metal body of his! Koldar wouldn't allow him anymore chance to fight at range. His development of the Eps Purah Kahnsh had, afterall, been developed to fight opponents like Pin! There was to be no chance to let him have range. ( Mechanical Punisher Pin Koldar blocks the first initial punch, but then takes the elbow to the face. He staggers back, before recovering his balance in time to block the knee strikes, questionably looking at Pin as he just uses knee strikes one after another predictably. He then darts to the side, seeing what Pin is trying to do upon landing and using his bike to try to scorch Koldar's face. He then tries to grab at Pin's face and throw him to the ground!) The Arcosian was proving difficult to nail down. Pin had to at least give the thing that much credit. If he were still capable of feeling anything other than spite and fury, he might even feel excited or invigorated by this fight. Instead he just felt...well, spite and fury. His brain fluid was roiling, almost as if it were reaching a boiling point. When Koldar grabbed him by the face and slammed him to the ground, Pin grabbed him by the forearm tightly. To have the audacity to lay a hand on him in such a way was a punishable offense back home, and for such offenses, the Mechanical Punisher was himself authorized to be both the judge and the executor of his own verdict. The verdict for such a crime was clear to Pin’s mind. Two of Pin’s chains thrashed out from behind his back, wrapping themselves several times around Koldar’s arm where it met his shoulder. The chains themselves heated up in that moment, and shortly after they began to move, grinding against Koldar with a cutting force of a powerful saw. The verdict, of course, had been to remove the offending hand. _____________________________________ Pin uses [N1] Chain Saw!
