Capper smiled like an idiot, noting to keep an eye on this match."In the Middle League we have Gira and Captain Nova battling in Round Two!"
ROUND TWO of the Minor League's Multiversal Tournament has begun! Player Versus Player Matches have a set 48 hour timer for posts. Failing to post in time will result in disqualification. After ten days pass (*10 minutes IC), if a knockout, ring out, and so on is not accomplished, judges will decide a winner. Without further adieu, get to punching each other.

"STAR POWER... SHINE ON!"
The all too familiar voice of the world famous: CAPTAIN NOVA rang out through the arena as a flash of golden light exploded through one of the doors leading to the center stage. Stepping out of it was the costumed crusader himself. His stance was confident, strong, and determined. He walked to the center stage before thrusting his fist up much to the excitement of the crowd. The sea of applause from all across the multiverse put a big smile on the hero's face as he crossed his arms.
"Fair citizens....LET'S GO FOR BROKE!" He cried out, letting his aura explode around him in a vibrant array of color and light.

Gira finished lacing up her boots, an excited grin on her face. Her last match ended up in a relatively easy victory with someone from one of the other universes, but now she was apparently facing someone from her own universe. Not only that, it was someone she knew of; Captain Nova! She almost couldn't believe she was going to get to fight a famous hero! Gira tightened her belt and walked through a door and out into the ring. In the center, she saw her opponent. He seemed to be putting on a good show for the crowd. At this point, she almost wished that she entered the tournament as the Watcher. She really missed a good opportunity for a heroic battle. Approaching the great Captain Nova, the teen gave him a respectful bow before greeting him. "Hello! I'm just gonna... skip the fangirling and just say that my friend Pota and I are big fans. We're heroes too and you're... well, you're an inspiration." After that, the teen took a couple of short hops, putting about ten feet of space between her and Nova. "Okay!" Gira flashed him a grin and slipped into her battle stance, her left fist down by her waist, palm up, and her right fist up even with her face about a foot and a half away, her elbow bent at a ninety degree angle. "From one hero to another, I wish you the best of luck! Let's make this a good fight."

The hero looked upon the girl as she hardly contained her excitement upon meeting him. A soft but genuine smile crossed his lips as he absorbed all she said. In a way, her reaction reminded him of how he acted upon meeting certain heroes in the past. It was pretty touching he had to admit. So, while the crowd was hungry for violence and action: the hero left his bluster and pizzazz behind as he walked over to the girl.
"Do you know why I took up the mask instead of seeking the fame and attention fighters like Vi Poi or Bing Gan receive? It's because I knew, that if it appeared that anyone could be behind the mask: it'd inspire everyone to be the best that they can be. Anyone can be Captain Nova for the individual doesn't matter as much as the ideal the mantle represents." He smiled, he couldn't help but feel like he was the main character of a comic book as he imparted his wisdom on this impressionable youth. "So to hear that I'm inspiring you to achieve greatness...Well, it just puts a mighty grin on my face! Show me just how strong your ideals are! Show me just what kind of hero you can be!"
With that, the hero would erupt in a mighty aura as he stood before her with a look on his face that was unlike his last fight completely. There was no anger or single minded drive for victory in his expression...Instead there only remained hope and excitement for the future. Two souls, lit by the flames of justice stood apart as they prepared to clash. Nicolas grinned, his aura shining brighter and brighter as his soul burned.
"Star Power...SHINE ON!"

Gira kept that big grin on her face as she listened to one of her heroes state his values and that hearing that Gira was aspiring to greatness made him happy. Gira almost couldn't believe that Captain Nova himself chose to impaet his wisdom upon her. She too felt like the conversation they were having was straight out of a comic book. The young hero had always wondered what it would be like to meet Captain Nova and she had to say that she wasn't disappointed. She heard people say the old phrase "don't meet your heroes." The hybrid understood what they meant, but she knew now that those people were wrong. At Nova's challenge, Gira nodded enthusiastically and prepared for battle. Her eyes drifted to her wrist once she did so, however. Her insta-change watch was right there. She wore it constantly, so its presence escaped her notice before now. This could truly be a battle of heroes... and Gira wouldn't pass up this chance. Slipping out of her stance, she smirked at her opponent. "Captain Nova! You truly are an inspiration. I was just going to face you as I am now, but I feel that it would only be right to face you as a true hero would!" Gira struck a pose, spreading her stance and sticking both of her arms straight up in the air. She then stood on one leg, spinning around in place before stopping, facing her opponent and pressing the red button on her watch. A shimmering light covered her entire form, shattering like glass after a few seconds. Gira's gi was gone, replaced by a silver gymnast's uniform with a white cape that went down to her lower back. The young hero crossed her arms in an "X" shape in front of her face, then quickly extended them to either side, a white, expressionless mask appearing on the top half of er face with the same shimmering light as before. Hopping lightly from side to side, Gira suddenly crouched low, making a muscle and flexing her biceps. "Evildoers beware! The light of justice is a light that burns! Who wields that light?" Leaping to her feet, the hybrid lashed out to the side with her left fist, then her right before running in place. "West Capitol's ardent protector and ally of justice..." Bringing her fists in and aiming them at Nova, giving him a double thumbs down. "The WATCHER!" Gira grinned at her hero, hoping he liked her performance. "Let's DO THIS!" A violet aura erupted around the Watcher's form as she prepared her classic Watcher Cannon. Nova appeared to be preparing an attack as well judging by how his energy was spiking. Gira's Saiyan blood boiled in her veins. THIS was why she wanted to participate in the tournament.

A grin stretched on the hero's face as he clenched his fists and lowered his form. "That's it! Show me what you've got! Cause I'm not gonna hold back!" The aura around him whipped up for a moment only to stop in the next. It was at this pause when he made his attack! The hero dashed toward the girl as she prepared her own attack and made his daring attempt to stop her! As honored as he was that he inspired her, he in no way wanted to go easy on her. It'd only do them both a disservice...
So with this in mind: he unleashed his combination attack, the Starlight Destruction! He started said attack by aiming a hook toward Gira's right kidney only to follow with a mirrored strike to her left a second later! The final part of the multi level attack came with a lightning-quick chop to the saiyan woman's throat with the intent to either send her crumpling to his feet or flying back into the nearby wall.
With each attempted strike he let out a furious war cry to empower his movements. "C'MONC'MONC'MON EYYYAAAHH!" He roared in his typical dramatic fashion...His movements: were purposeful and vicious, it was a far cry from how he faced the Silver Dynamo or Realigner Red once upon a time. He had really grown as a fighter and now he knew he could live up to be the man Gira had been inspired by! The fight was only the beginning, but the crowd was eagerly awaiting with baited breath to see how the clash of heroes would turn out...

With that, the battle of heroes truly began. As Captain Nova went for his attack, Gira took the precious milliseconds she had to continue building her energy. If she could pull off this attack, she could at least give as good as she gets. As the cosmic hero rocketed towards her, the teen drew her arm back, preparing to throw her attack his way. He was quick though. Too quick for her to react perfectly. Her tail twitched briefly as the half-Saiyan detected the hero's coming assault. As Nova's first blow connected with her kidney, she gasped and took a step back, gritting her teeth as a small amount of spit flew from her open mouth with the force of the blow. She would get no time to rest, however, as she was struck from her left flank by yet another punch. Gira shut her eyes tight on this one, aiming to focus on holding the energy she mustered for the attack, waiting for the opportune moment to throw it out. Then, she saw her chance. As Captain Nova went for a chop to her neck, she found an opening. "Go! Go! Watcher Cannon!" She cried out, a ball of yellow energy manifesting in front of her palm a mere second before she threw it towards Captain Nova's midsection. This wouldn't stop his chop, however, and it struck her right in the throat, taking her breath away for a moment, causing her to fall to one knee and into a coughing fit. Realizing she was still close to her opponent, however, the Watcher took one long leap backwards, taking a second to recover from Nova's brutal assault. Wiping the spit from her mouth, Gira grinned at her opponent and stood solidly on her feet. She wasn't about to go down. Not yet. She was having waaay too much fun. There were no words, just an air of giddiness and excitement around the hybrid before she launched herself into the fray again, aiming a sweeping kick at Captain Nova's left knee before attempting a solid knee to his stomach, finishing the combo by spinning around in the air in a stylized manner and aiming a roundhouse kick at the side of her opponent's face.

Ornee blinked awkwardly. The time patroller who'd been commentating the matches had never come back from his bathroom break, leaving the Vargas all alone at the desk.
He squawked nervously as the timer clanged, noting the end of the match. Uncertainty in his talons, he clicked a button, and moved up to the microphone.
"Ahem-- The winner is... Uh... Gira!"
