Capper sighs, resting his head upon his hand. He sort of felt bad for his fellow Patroller, Articho. Taking a breath in, the saiyan began the fourth arena's combat. "In the Major League we my dude Articho against... Purika. Good luck!"

Articho rolled his eyes as Capper announced that it was time for his match in the Multiversal tourney. Did he really have to refer to him as "my dude?" He never really thought of the Saiyan as a close friend, more of a slightly annoying voice in his ear telling him what to do on missions and who exactly he had to kill to keep a timeline from going awry. He tugged on his gauntlets, the same pair his father wore and that he had managed to retrieve from his own decimated home universe. He didn't know what drove him to go back, but it felt...nice to have at least something tying him to his parents. Plus, they served decently at bracing his hands and wrists against force. Way better than handwraps did or gloves did, at least. The young hybrid walked out of waiting area, giving a little hop to start in his flight upwards to the small planet that would serve as the arena for his fight with the Saiyan, Purika, hailing from Universe 3.
Working as an enforcer for the Time Patrol had its perks. One being he'd viewed information on many different people from many different universes, while also having gone into many universes to eliminate threats to total universal stability. His opponent hailed from the universe where the Saiyans had won in their invasion of Earth, an event he himself had not personally experienced as Alistair had gotten his hands on the Seed of the Tree of Might rather than Zucceta, which was what happened in most other universes. Purika himself was a rather cocky Saiyan normally, even more so now that his race had won their war and dominated their universe. Not that it mattered to Arti. There had been universes where Purika would have been a threat to each respective universes' stability, where his power was destined to rise above all else and the universes would have crumbled beneath him. The hybrid had eliminated each one with efficiency and without hesitation. This Purika was not a threat to U3's stability. He was nothing but an obstacle for Articho to crush underfoot, like many that had come before and thought they would stop him when he had a goal.
Articho landed on the arena, the scar on his face twisting his grin into a harsh sneer. His goal this time: victory. And no one was going to stop him.

The spiky haired saiya-jin stood with his arms crossed in his universe's booth. He was itching for a fight, his eyes floating around the three small orbs as he observed the fights that came before his. It was not too long until his name was finally called, which came as relief. That itch was about to be satisfied. He was called to fight some guy named Articho. He floated up from the booth and hovered over to the 'ring'.
He sat himself down on it, the gravity keeping him firmly in place. It was time to fight. He looked over at his opponent, his facial expression somewhat humorous because of how ugly it made him. His arms unfolded, his right fist meeting the palm of his left hand before he did the same again but with different hands. He entered his fighting stance, energy building up in his arms as he prepared for an attack.
He was going to crush this insect.

"Sensational. A Purika who actually knows to keep his mouth shut. Never thought I'd encounter one," Articho commented, cracking knuckles and shaking his fingers out to loosen them up. "Whatever. I'll teach you fear soon enough. Nothing you've encountered in your universe will ever match up to me." He glared at Purika. He could sense energy beginning to charge within the Saiyan, signalling his using a technique. Stupid. Was he really so quick to drain his energy like that? Maybe this would be easier than the hybrid thought.
In an instant, the black and white clad Time Patroller vanished and reappeared behind Purika, electricity sparking around his fist. He swung a quick, powerful jab at the small of Purika's back, hoping to discharge the electricity into the Saiyan and ruin his charging technique. "You do a poor job of representing your universe. Bow out now so I can actually defeat someone worthwhile."

The hybrid time patroller rambled about how all their versions of Purika never kept his mouth shut, which obviously wasn’t true. Purika didn’t have much to speak about unless someone gave it to him, which was actually the truth for all other versions of him.
The hybrid made a joke, that he’d teach him fear. That was a funny one. If anyone was going to be in fear here, it was going to be the hybrid. Purika was going to tear him apart.
As Purika prepared to attack, the hybrid suddenly vanished from his line of sight. The next thing he felt was something striking his back, sending an electrical current through him which interrupted the charging of his attack.
Something like that was only a delay though, as he lost no energy while doing so. He quickly spun around as the ignorant hybrid tried to insult him, only for Purika to ignore, his leg following him but on a wider path. It was aimed at the hybrids side. Whether this hit or not though, Purika would jump back and begin charging again.

Articho barely glanced at Purika's leg as it swung around to hit him. Too wide and easy to see for it too be effective. He lifted his arm up and braced it with his free hand, absorbing the impact of the kick with little trouble. He watched Purika jump away, the scar on his face twisting his mocking grin again. "Predictable," he said as he readjusted his bracer. He could sense the Saiyan beginning to charge another technique and shook his head. "Saiyans. So certain of themselves and their abilities." Arti chuckled again vanishing again, reappearing on either side of Purika.
Both versions of Arti swung their legs up in mirrored kicks aimed at Purika's chin. Only, the two were only afterimages with the real Articho reappearing directly in front of Purika, swinging his elbow in a swift blow aimed at the Saiyan's chin before moving to grab Purika's arm and toss him over his shoulder in a throw. He planned to finish with a powerful stomp on Purika's chest. "You'll learn your place soon, Saiyan."

Purika's kick was blocked, but e had gained his distance from his opponent. His opponent called his attack 'Predictable'. Purika couldn't really argue with that, it obviously was. The hybrid made another comment, which was an ironic one. For the first time this match, Purika would speak. "It seems you are saiyan as well, judging by your tail." he said. Then, his opponent vanished from his sight. Purika's guard was up, he was prepared. Then, from what he could tell he reappeared, but in two forms.
Purika quickly ducked down, having ki flare up around his forearm and sharpening into a blade. In the split second he was about to slice the two afterimages apart, still crouched down, the hybrid appeared in front of him. "Decoys!" he thought. Without a second thought, Purika jut the two blades around his forearms towards his opponent abdomen, attempting to pierce skin and organs.

Articho saw the blades form on Purika's arms and adjusted his movement, bringing both arms up and glancing the blades away from himself using his gauntlets. Electricity sparked off of his fists as he turned inwards and aimed a double fisted punch into the Saiyan's gut, aiming to interrupt his charging technique once again. He followed by dropping back onto his hands and sweeping his leg underneath Purika's own to trip him up. He finished with by pushing himself back to his feet and aiming a powerful side kick at the Purika's side, aiming to knock his opponent back a fair bit.
"You'd be a idiot to assume everyone with a Saiyan tail is a pure breed," he replied to Purika's earlier comment, running his fingers through his hair. He blue eyes pierced through the Saiyan, always searching, calculating, looking for a weakness or opening. They were sharp, yet cold at the same time, the eyes of a ruthless, experienced killer. "Now, will you fight me like as a Saiyan would or will you continue to sit and charge your techniques for that hopeful one shot kill?"

Purika's blades were deflected by his opponent. As they were deflected, he watched as electricity began to spark around hiss opponents fist. He quickly remembered feeling something akin to electricity hitting him before, which caused his charging to interrupt. As he prepared to motion himself back, he only managed to retract his arms before he was met with two fists in his gut. This time was different though, his technique was not bothered. The opponent's effect was weaker, as his attack was stronger. As he wasn't stunned by his technique being interrupted, he quickly shot backwards, dodging the opponent's leg as it came.
After gaining enough distance from his opponent, his feet collided and skidded across the ground until he came to a halt. "Looks like my attack has become too strong to be bothered by that." he said. He continued charging his attack, he was going to crush his opponent. He had just the right method of doing so, by crushing his head. He was going to give his attack a little more time, though. Not too much though.
His opponent replied to his earlier comment. "I'd be at least half, or less, right." he commented. His opponent made another statement, which Purika quickly responded to. "I'd prefer to not waste what I have now."

Articho's face stayed a stony mask as his stun technique fizzled out. A minor miscalculation, but it wouldn't matter in the long run. He would still win. Even if he didn't kill or knock Purika out, he was currently the only one in their fight to have actually done any fighting and the clock was continuing to click further and further down. One fizzled hit wasn't going to win Purika the battle as he so clearly thought it would. "You would do well to keep from counting your chickens before they hatch," he replied, quickly dashing in again. Electricity crackled across his arms again, stronger and more chaotic than before. "Don't let you arrogance get the better of you!" He shouted this as he swung his right fist upward in a powerful uppercut aimed at Purika's chin. He followed with a series of rapid fire punches aimed at his face and chest before he finished by jumping up and aiming a powerful kick right at Purika's face.
"Half right isnt a thing. If you're not right, you're wrong. And my heritage isn't the only thing you're wrong about," Articho said as he landed back down on the ground. "Here's an idea: Try actually fighting me so you can earn yourself some points and maybe you can scrap out a win."

Time was counting down, Purika would need to finish the fight quickly. As he was about to attack and finish this worm, his opponent replied to his earlier comment. His opponent was dashing towards him. "Yes, that's it. Get closer, makes it easier for me." Then, electricity began forming around his fists. Purika didn't have enough time to get out of the way! As he was about to spring in the air, he only made little progress before his opponent's fist struck his chin. The electrical current rippled through him, disrupting his attack and dispersing his ki inside him. The attack did little damage, but it was sure as hell annoying how it just cancelled his attacks.
As his opponent was about to follow up, Purika frowned before roaring out. His hair flickered golden, his yellow aura wrapping around him, electricity did so as well. With that, he blocked the rest of the punches, his charge being completely disrupted. "That technique is getting annoying!" Purika quickly bent his elbow, sending ki rushing through it before bringing it down on top of his opponent's head forcefully. With that done, he quickly jumped back and began charging again to finish him off, ignoring anything else he said.

Another rather uneventful match that frankly, bored the crowd. Capper sighed, eyeing the judges. He eyed their choice on a slip of paper, clearing his throat to announce the winner. "Articho will advance to Round Two against Wyntre!"
