Capper whistled, having got some of his breath back now after announcing all these matches in a row. One-sixth of the way there, he told himself. He could do this.
"In the Minor League we have Kluttz and Turys in Arena Nine, Round One!"
ROUND ONE of the Minor League's Multiversal Tournament has begun! Player Versus Player Matches have a set 48 hour timer for posts. Failing to post in time will result in disqualification. After ten days pass (*10 minutes IC), if a knockout, ring out, and so on is not accomplished, judges will decide a winner. Without further adieu, get to punching each other.
Kluttz walked with the nice Vargas, heading to the arena when his name was called. “G-geez I’m nervous... “ he muttered, passing by someone who kinda looked like him with a sword that DEFINITELY resembled his sword but he ignored it, he had a fight to focus on.
“C’mon my friend, you’ll do fine! If you lose, then you can improve upon your skills!” the Vargas said, giving him a smile. “I kinda need this wish for my friend… I can wish him back.” he said, sad. “Well, I’ll be rooting for you.”
“T-thanks.” Kluttz said, heading out, shaking in stage fright as he heads out, nodding to Capper and breathes, holding a hand on his sword's hilt. ‘Alright, let’s see who this person is… Hopefully they're not sadistic…” Kluttz said, nervously as he waited for his opponent to arrive.
Strolling to the edge of the spectator and contestants seats, the woman held aloft a giant sign with large letters scrawled across it. They were visible to the majority of the crowd, and namely the young announcer commentating the tournament. “I <3 CAPPER!” With a point towards the young man, the woman shouted loudly so the entire crowd could hear.
“If I win this tournament, I'm wishing for a honeymoon for the two of us, you lovable guy!” Tossing the sign to one side, the woman leaped forward and sailed inwards towards the small planet that made the ring. Landing in a kneeling position, she waved at the young man who was her opponent. Grinning at him, she flexed her arm and spoke firmly. “I'm hear to win this for love. Not sure what you're deal is, Kluttz, but I'm not planning on losing too easily. Unless Capper wants me to~!”
She turned around, waving at the young commentator again. Then, as she blew a kiss in the young man's direction, her other, downcast hand twisted slightly so it was angled towards the swordsman. A bright flash shot across the arena, aimed for the center of the man's chest. She sighed and turned around, a new gleam entering her eyes. “After watching myself from U15, I don't want to give a bad showing for the rest of the universes.”
Ki energy began building around her body, as she prepared her body for the first battle of this multiverse shenanigan.
There was only one thing Kluttz could say when the woman landed on the stage and stated what she was wishing for. “You gotta be fucking, kidding me. That is such a self-centered wish it sickens me. There are some people who want to use this wish to save people; I have a fucking need to use this wish! My friend and villagers were slaughtered by demons and I’d love if they came back... “
Kluttz said that, drawing his sword he gives her a glare, which turns to confusion and small blush when she blew a kiss at him. “T-this is a fight!” he yelled, leaping toward her and slashing his sword, cutting the beam in half.
To start things off, Kluttz felt she was charging something and so, he knew he had to stop it. He began channeling ki into his blade, readying it to block anything that this strange lady sent at him.
“Huh? You think that's self-centered? It's more arrogant to use a wish to undo what nature dictates. People die, babies are born, and the strong beat the ever-living crap outta the weak. It's just the way the world works. You'd love for them to come back? I'd love to have a milkshake and you outta my business, but see where that's gotten us? And the kiss wasn't for you, average, it was for the cute commentator. I love you, Tall Capper!”
Dropping her charge, the woman turned and waved with both hands towards the commentator, doubtless busy with important, smart things. He was definitely busy, or he'd be waving back and receiving her praise with tact like a real man. As she grinned and let her hands drop to her sides, she stepped backwards, closing the distance between the two in an instant. Planting her feet just shy of the reach of the man's blade, she spun and faced him. Looking at his glasses, his messy hair, and the plain appearance of his overall look, the woman sighed and thrust one hand towards him.
“I'm not capable of making swords like my cooler counterpart, but I can do this.” Making a finger gun, she began firing blasts of honed energy at different points over his body. One was aimed for his groin, another for his head, another for a shoulder, and the last for his chest. As the last bolt of green energy left her fingertips, the woman shot forward, bringing her fist back to strike. Her long, brown hair hung in the wind, as she waited for his blade, fist, or energy to come forward in a counter.
Calling a girl's dream selfish; this guy isn't popular with the ladies, I'm sure of it!
No Change in PL
KP - 3/3
[SU3] Charge dropped; firing basic ki blasts again
“How is selfish to bring people back before there time!? How?! They went due idiots in my village summoning demons! How is it selfish to give them the life that they deserve!?” Kluttz roars, feeling anger that rivaled when his friend was killed.
This woman was pissing him off greatly. “Yes, a wish of a honeymoon or whatever is SO much more important than people’s LIFE’s!” he continued to yell, getting pissed off. “Your just pitiful, sad excuse of a person.” he finished, watching her close in the distance. He jumped back, not wanting her to get close.
He watched her shoot ki bullets at him, and he raised his other hand and blocked them, wincing as they stung. “Tch, now…” he muttered, dropping the charge on his blade as he pointed the blade at the woman. “BURN.” he said, heat rushing toward his blade. Any sort of heat just dropped a few degrees in temperature as he charged his attack, using his magic to control it.
It was very small, miniscule orb of fire that radiated heat within a few feet of it.
Adding some SPICY flavour to my charge! Turys Copper Dropping charge on [MP3] Full Counter! Charging [MP3] Inferno Manipulation for 100% this turn! KP 3/3
“People die; its the nature of life. Now give up and let me have my happily ever after.” When his sword didn't come, but the heat radiating from the immediate area spiked as the air cooled. She could sense the energy flowing into a tiny ball of red that hung in the air. Sighing with irritation, the woman planted her feet and threw her punch directly at the man's face. It was clear he was working on some magic, based on the angle of his blade and the focus in his eyes.
The fastest way to disrupt a magician is to punch them right in their smug face! Turys was aiming to punch the man directly in the face, when her fist stopped just shy of his jaw. Was it really right for the woman to be fighting this man, who's goal could be something far nobler than hers? She shook her head, before hopping backwards and creating distance between herself and her opoponent.
“Tell me, Kluttz...do you have someone you love back home, who's depending on you to get this wish?” Letting her hands fall to her sides, the woman stared at the magician. Her gaze was unwavering, despite a slight tremble in her hand. Clenching it into a fist, the woman spoke again. “Is it for love that you seek to bring back those that were lost? Or is it out of a sense of duty?”
Her gaze fell, as her clenched fist trembled slightly. She waited for the magician to answer her questions.
“N-No!” Kluttz yelled, seeming to lose his resolve slightly. W-what… What if she was right? If this is nature to die, why should he interfere…? NO! He couldn’t give up now! He was close!
He watched her plant and swing at him, terrifying him, making him nearly lose the charge and it fluxs, about to detonate. The punch stopped just before hitting him and she jumped back, weirding him out as he put away his sword, letting the heat retain in the area as he once again canceled the charge. “Why did…?” he asked, a bit confused.
“L-Love?... Not something I thought of, no. My friend, Cassew did I think… No I’m wrong. No.” he said, getting a little embarrassed. He wasn’ used to an opponent stopping the fight to talk, so he was a bit unsure. “I’m doing this… For myself…” he muttered realizing it. Kluttz a sudden realization.
“This… Is for me. To gain closure.” he continued, now feeling like a douche. “Ha. I’m such a hypocrite… I judge you for your self centered wish when I am doing the same thing.” The older swordsman finished with a sigh. “Sorry for calling your wish self centered… Well, we can have this emotional talk AFTER this fight. ‘Cause I don’t think that people want to see two people fighting when there supposed to fighting.” he said, shifting into a fighting stance.
“You wouldn’t mind continuing, right, your highness?” Kluttz said with a joking tone, resting his hand on his blade's hilt.
Turys Copper Damn, never expected feels from a fight between complete strangers. XD Once again, dropping charge on [MP3] Inferno Manipulation!
“...hmm. So her name is Cassew, huh? That's nice.”
The woman grinned at the swordsman, who was preparing to fight again. The girl strolled forward, crossing her arms behind her back. It was clear she wasn't in any sort of stance, or preparing any kind of attack. Stepping past the man, her gaze was towards the blue sky far above them. She smiled bitterly and whispered.
“If I raised my fist now, my soul would be ripped apart due to the unbalance it'd make between my two halves. Irys is beside herself with tears right now, while my Tulip half just wants to win out of stubbornness. So make me a promise, swordsman. Even if you can't get your wish from this tournament, go back to your universe and hunt them down. Find those Dragonballs and take back those you love. I'll fight my war for love on normal terms, without using the power of the wish. That's the most honest route, after all.”
Turning back towards the spectators and the crowds of people, the woman raised her hand and shouted loudly. “I'm forfeiting this fight! Kluttz wins, through force of will!”
Looking back over her shoulder at the swordsman, she winked at him and grinned. “Maybe, in another life, we could've been lovers. And smile a bit more; you're kinda cute when you're not all stressed about stuff.”
Walking away from the swordsman, the woman would jump off the planet, landing in the bleachers. Her smile slipped, as her grin turned to a pained grimace. She'd put up a horrible display of skill in front of everyone, let down all of her friends...before anyone could ask her, she sprinted out of the arena, hiding her tears from those watching.
Kluttz was contemplating his choices and his decisions. He came to a conclusion… Then Hell broke loose. “W-wait WHAT?! N-No, Cassew isn’t-.” he started, but wasn’t able to say it as Turys continued and Kluttz stared in shock, not able to stop this.
“Hold on! I don’t like Cassew that way! And it’s a-” he tried again, but failed as she forfeited and took off and he blushed in the process. “Cassew isn’t a love interest! He’s just like my brother!” he yelled, knowing she wouldn’t hear.
He took off after her, yelling at Capper, “If possible I concede the match! I give up!” he takes off after Turys, wondering how this whole misunderstanding wouldn’t mess things up... And where the hell did she go!?
