Since making her split-second decision – still coming to grips with the spontaneity of it – Zerori had taken to wandering the depths of hell. She’d passed by blood ponds and mountains of spikes. Ice-cold realms that, if she were any other person might have frozen her solid, took comfort in the chill against her fire-hot skin. She’d always been like that, even if she considered herself a very cold person. She’d killed for money, power or revenge. Zerori knew she deserved to be down here. Ari didn’t think so, though. Nicolas would never think so terribly of her to believe she deserved this fate. And Etoru… that kid. He’d given her something she never thought possible; a reason to live beyond what she deserved. Make better of herself even if, on the inside, she didn’t think it was possible to change her world views. So, she walked and didn’t pay attention to what time meant in Hell. Whether she walked for long or even very far, the hybrid realized disappointedly that she had no idea where she was going or what to do. She wanted to be free of death but everything that was thrown in face; ‘Just go through here!’ ‘Do this and you can be free’ or even ‘I can free you – just fulfil your end of the bargain’. She did and she threw the chance away… and for what? Suddenly coming to a stop, she snarled and – with fist clenched tightly – threw a fist against the closest thing nearest her. Violently, it buckled under her strength like a piece of glass and she glared lividly at it, “-The fuck is power even good for when you’re dead?!” She yelled, so loudly but not at anyone but herself. The very thought made her breath voraciously like a beast in heat. With a raw cry, she threw another fist at it – uncaring of how the black flames burned her skin. Little by little, carried along the realm by her roars, the thing in front of her was broke and breaking into more and more pieces. She didn’t care. When did she ever care? She took pause only when the sound of a groan of rock, rubble and slate began to shift beneath her knuckles. It caved, whatever this pillar belonged to, and soon it fell and took what Zerori would realize was a structure with it. However, no matter her strength, it would only far partially and leave what looked to be a shrine in utter disrepair in one corner. The rest relinquished the condemned corner and stood against her miniscule form. She would later learn that this was a shrine built by zealots in worship to Beelzebub – even if they never met the boy himself. With a scoff of disbelief, Zerori cursed, “Well, shit…” However, as her boil simmered down from the boil and her blood red eyes scanned over the grand structure that dwarfed her form at least a hundred times, the gears in her noggin would start to turn. She grunted, hesitant to say it out loud before finally daring, “Beelzebub.” Then, that familiar spark of spontaneity resurfaced again, and she turned around before cupping her hands around her face and shouting into the air. “HEY!” She cried, loud as can be. “You around here, boy!? I got a favor to ask!” She was sure this would be way easier than teaching her dumb ass. ((And here we go! My Revival thread! Beelzebub and Nicolas Mclendon / Alaistair gonna contact you soon!))

For a long few moments, there would be no response to Zerori’s call to Beelzebub and only when it was just long enough that Zerori might begin to think that perhaps either he was not willing to respond to her call or simply was not actually able to hear it here.
However, in the next instance, an inky black portal appeared before the statue and out from the portal stepped the ‘boy’ she had called for, while before the Prince had most certainly come off as rather smug NOW he practically exuded a tangible aura of smugness as looked up at the half demon.
“How’s it going Zerori” there was a clear effort on the Princes part to TRY to sound genuine and innocent, that effort was entirely ruined by the smug grin.

She waited several moments, waiting intently for Beelzebub to appear before her expression of hope gradually soured to disdain. When it appeared as though he refused her – she knew he could hear her – she’d made to stalk off before a movement in the corner of her eye caught her attention. It worked! Zerori grinned victoriously before she paused at his expression.
Oh no, She realized with annoyance as the largest shite-eating smile she’d seen on him. She closed her eyes for a moment at his greeting before she let out a sigh and responded, hoping the ridicule wouldn’t be too harsh, “Heeeeey,” She started off light-heartedly, equally strained to sound more than amicable, “So, you remember when I said I didn’t need those techniques?” She waited for a second before adding, and brought a hand to the back of her neck nervously, “See, I don’t need ‘techniques’,” She punctuated with air quotations, “-but I DO need a way back to life.”
Hesitantly, she forced a fanged smile and asked, “Think you can help a lady out here?”

There were few things in the universe that pleased Beelzebub more than having someone NEED his help, for him to be the best or only option they had in all the world to accomplish what they wanted. In his current positon as Prince of Hell™ it was actually a bit uncommon to have opportunities for that, the dead rarely actually needed much of anything and his students were often already engratiated enough with him that he found bland trying to lord his power over them.
“Mmmmmmmmh I’m not sure, breaching the wall between life and death is a MIGHTY tall order, sure I COULD do it but I dunno, I’ve got a lot of stuff to do ya’know? People to train, hellish landscapes to oversee” anime to watch.
Really it was mostly the anime if he was entirely honest, his gig as Prince was pretty cushy in regards to actual responsibilities it was surprisingly rare for people to meet the Karma Quota that allowed them to even attempt to seek his training.
“You’re not even really one of my students anymore since you’ve gone and decided you don't need my training. It's a pity, I usually help those loyal to me out pretty well, I hooked Xylo up with something REAL fancy to get his dark deeds going when he took off back to the living world” Beelzebub said with fond grin as he thought of the admittedly rather stuffy Namekian.
He’d always expected that someone like Zerori or Zucceta would be his top student when they eventually kicked the bucket, but Zerori had no interest and Zucceta had gone and become a dorky HERO of all things. Truth be told while Realigner Red had caused quite the ruckus in his time Beelzebub had held some hope taht when he WAS beaten that he’d pass on somehow.
But instead it had been perhaps the least expected trainee that had truly gone above and beyond.
“But…” Beelze said pausing for dramatic effect.
“I’m a kind Prince, and even if its only half you ARE a Demon so I suppose a bit of loyalty to one of my own is fair as well.” Beelze spoke slowly clearly trying to drag things out as agonizingly long as possible.
“So I’ll help you out. But on one condition. You owe me a favor, whatever thing I need of you you’ll do when I call it in” Beelzebub said grinning up at Zerori before sticking his hand out, several balls of black fire appearing around his wrist as he did so the only sign from Beelzebub that he intended to back up his requirement with magic, a trick he’d learned from one of his father's friends, a strange Makaioshin whose focus was mainly on deals, thankfully for Zerori unlike him Beelzebub was not looking to claim her soul in this deal.

It ate away at her every time Beelzebub teased and tormented her with the knowledge that while, Yes – he definitely could assist in sending her back to the world of the living, he wasn’t sure she was worth it. That was a pretty low blow to her already fragile ego. As he went on about the benefits of being his student, Zerori’s could barely keep the snarl off her lips. Mentally, she was coaching herself to keep her temper under control. Blow this and you’ll never escape hell. Practice, for ONCE, what you preach since making mistake after mistake and you might see a turn in your luck! As his words drawled on, and Zerori slowly breathed in and out to maintain her composure she was pleasantly surprise by an unlikely kindness. “Y-You will?” She questioned uncertainly, conflicted deeply at the irony that she would be assistant by the Prince of Hell because he considered her… marginally one of his own? Reaching for words, the halfling stammered for a moment before she shook her head and focused, a rare smile of elation on her face, “YES! Hell yes,” She knelt down to his level on one knee with a grin. “You won’t regret this,” She promised, a swelling emotion taking root in her chest where she could swear her heart was. When she raised her hand to wards his, noting curiously the small balls of black fire that appeared around his wrist, Zerori felt an unfamiliar familiar instinct. In a similar fashion, Zerori’s hand from her wrist all the way to the tips of her fingers burst alight into the same black flame before she grasped Beelzebub’s in a single shake of finality. Whatever would happen next, be it a magical demonstration of ‘sealing the deal’ or nothing at all, Zerori would release his hand and drape it over her knee, “Let’s not waste any time. I don’t have a lot of options,” She swallowed and looked at him intensely, “What do I need to do? I thought maybe contacting someone to maybe get the dragon balls to bring me to life but that sounds damn near impossible and I don’t have many friends.” Beelzebub

It was almost anticlimactic as the demonic duo shook hands, the small black fireballs briefly swirling around their wrists before making a brief series of explosions like tiny fireworks, Beelzebub’s grin could not grow any wider when Zerori accepted the deal and shook his hand. She was not someone he expected to have the same sort of relationship he had with Xylo, so having the ability to call in something he wanted or needed out of her was the next best thing.
“We’ve got a couple of options on how we can do this, the Afterlife has gotten a bit uh… messy to put it lightly, lotsa holes all over the place that leave weaknesses people can exploit to get out of here. The only annoying bit is they don't exactly always stay put and Big Yemyam has his ogres patch some of them up every now and then. If you can get me a link to you on the outside I’ll have an easier time setting something up for you, I can send messages out into the living world so it doesn't need to be any sorta weird psychic guys so don't worry about that. Just give me the name of the person you think knows you best on the other side”

Oh, wow... Arias was... right, Zerori grimaced in realization, remembering the story the wayward saiyan mother had given her as they argued over what was the way out of hell. While Arias believed that 'shoki' was the way to go and ripping open a hole into the very fabric of space-time, Zerori was playing the role of the skeptic...
Perhaps this was her luck turning around, after all. Irony included.
She was advised to pick a link to the outside, one that would connect her to the world of the living. The only question was who, exactly. She gazed off to the side in thought, contemplating the choice. Alaistair was the obvious choice, a devil similar to her but with much more influence than she'd like to admit. Beelzebub likely knew him personally, as well...
But if there was a real, solid connection she had to anyone on the outside - it would be to Nicolas. Or, as many had known his ass, Captain Nova. Agonizingly, she frustrated herself over the choice before finally, she huffed with a pout, "I can't decide," She crossed her arms, a gloomy expression upon her features, "Can you contact two people? Alaistair is the demon that I worked for that offered me a way out before, but I-" She stopped, weary of a slight knot in the back of her throat as she admitted it, "-I want to talk to Nicol- Captain Nova." She spoke quickly, in clipped sentences to her her point across, "He's on Earth. Want him to know I'm thinking of him... that I'm coming back... If you can't - fine, but please TRY!"
((The choice between Captain Nova or Alaistair is up to Beelzebub.))

Beelzebub’s face twisted up into a look of disgust at the mention of Alaistair, true he was TECHNICALLY doing some good work for evil now but Beelzebub KNEW that deep down there was still some Kai left under all that, he’d sorta hoped that once Xylo and Al broke off from eachother that the “Demon” would have gone off to become MORE evil, do something really dastardly but then he’d gone and opened a BAR or all things.
Definetly too much Kai left in him.
“Alaistairs gross, buuuut I guess he might work” Beelzebub conceded as Zerori paused after mentioning him, the relationship she described wasn’t exceptionally strong but it was probably enough that with Al’s own magic they could make things work…
But then Zerori mentioned someone else and a wide grin crept up on Beelzebub’s face as she struggled to get the name out. Captain Nova. Ohhhh boy did Beelzebub know about THAT guy, he was bound to be one of King Kais boys one day, frankly Beelzebub was glad he hadn’t bit the dust anytime recently because THAT would have probably put a damper on a lot of evil plans once he made his way back. With any luck Zerori would be a nice distraction from the goofy do-gooder
“Yeah I think he’ll work out a bit better, we can give Al a go if it doesn't pan out” Beelzebub said snapping his finger creating a cellphone and tossed it to Zerori who would quickly find that the phone was already in the process of making a call to the Captain.

He chose Nicolas over Alai- What? It absolutely escaped her, as she looked at him incredulously, why he would choose a human over a demon (more than that, a Makaioshin) but perhaps there was some sort of… history behind him that she wasn’t in the light about. She filed that docket of confusion away for questioning at a later date – when she was alive. She caught phone in the air, quickly eyeing it to familiarize herself with it before quickly putting it to her ear. Droning on obscenely long, the phone would ring and ring and ring until it would be picked up on the other side. Honestly, as she waited, Zerori realized she was expecting something a little less ‘modern’. She didn’t really expect anything, however, since the afterlife wasn’t exactly something your taught to cope with at a young age or really into adulthood. Y’just hope that you go some place else or cease to exist. Jokes on me, Zerori thought dryly before quickly speaking as the line stopped ringing, “Nicolas! Are you there? Hey, it’s,” She cleared her throat, realizing she was literally screaming into the phone, “-Zerori. It’s Zerori,” She chuckled nervously, her chest constricted uncomfortably like she was confessing something, “Please tell me this is a good time.” ((Ring ring, Nicolas Mclendon ~))

To say Nicolas had gotten a shock was an understatement. His day went from a 'lazy veg out and neglect the mountains of homework and the important BBA documents' kinda day to something surreal as his phone began to ring with a ringtone he never heard in his life with a series of digital hieroglyphs and glitchy lettering that looked both familiar but completely foreign as if it were some kind of font he'd seen in a dream. Having little time to decide whether or not he should be (quite rationally) scared out of his mind or curious that his phone was behaving so oddly he felt something compel him to answer it.For a long moment: there was a mixture of static, electronic chirping, and a metallic groaning that droned into his ears as the connection between realities was established through a shitty cellphone. "...Hello?" He breathed out, his voice barely audible against the overbearing sounds that his phone was making. His face paled as he trembled in place, the sound growing louder and louder with each passing moment. Part of him wanted to hurl the phone but another part of him urged him to hold still. He felt his mouth dry as he sat in his limbo of indecision until he heard his name. Clear as a bell. A cold sweat overtook the man as he felt his eyes begin to water nearly instantly as he recognized the voice right away.
"Z-Zerori?!"
"You goof...Of course it's a good time! It's been months! Maybe even a year!" He stammered, rubbing his eyes as he fought back a giddy laugh. "I'm not dreaming again am I? This is...This is really happening right now isn't it? Are you okay? W-where are you?!" He asked as his mouth spat out a million words a minute. It was hard to tell just how overjoyed he was to be hearing from his long lost love again but the way his voice seemed to fluctuate to higher octaves was a good indication that he was fighting back the urge to giggle and laugh like a crazy person. If she could see him right she'd think he was a mess. His long mane of brown hair was wild and unkempt, his eyes were absolutely pouring with tears as he held the phone with a vice like grip, and his smile was stretched from ear to ear making it almost look forced. The absolute hurricane of emotion that pounded in his heart was enough to have him instinctively release a bit of his golden aura. "I...I never gave up hope that I'd hear from you again!"

One would think Zerori was a teenager by the way her nervous smile seemed to widen and she hardly cared that it hurt to stretch her cheeks so much. Hearing his voice, an intense heat rushed across her cheeks and she drew a hand through her hair like she used to, a tic she had when she didn’t know what to say, “T-That long, huh? Fuck, I… I can’t really tell time in Hell, sorry! But yes, YES! Nicolas-,” She swallowed, stopping suddenly as she didn’t realize in her emotional state of talking with Nicolas again she’d started pacing and holding the cellphone with both hands like it was her last lifeline. How terribly true that was.
With a passive glance at Beelzebub, she closed her eyes briefly to regain her composure before she spoke again, “I’m glad that you waited for me, Nic and I promise I’m going to make it up to you, but listen,” She scratched at the back of her neck while struggling with the words quickly, “I’ve got a pretty important person helping me out here so he’s gonna walk me through, y’know, getting out of here. I have no idea how this is going to go, so sorry if it… might get weird?” She laughed softly, unable to believe that she was actually leaving hell and coming back to life and just… chatting about it like it was the weather!
“Okay,” She paused and looked over at the devil, grinning excitedly at the mystery that would happen next, “-What do we gotta do now?!”

Beelzebub watched vaguely curious as the phone took just a bit longer to be picked up than he expected, it was always a bit more difficult to rely on someone to pick up a phone as opposed to a direct mental connection but truth be told Beelzebub had NO interest in being in on whatever conversation these two were about to have.
He was thankfully saved from having to pay any more attention to the disgusting love-talk as the good Captain picked up and the two were swept up into a discussion straight out of some sappy love movie! Truly gross.
As they talked Beelzebub began his preperations amassing a bit of ambient souls power, summoning the ingredients he'd need, after a few moments though he heard Zerori break off from her conversation "You focus on that, I'll focus on this, you just need to keep on the line with him so chat as much as you need I'll give you a heads up when my end of things is ready"

Nicolas shook his head, hardly believing that he truly was talking with his long lost love after all this time. Despite his emotions overflowing he couldn't help but let out a chuckle "Trust me, this is far from the craziest I've seen or...Well, experienced." He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly as he cut his gaze aside briefly thinking of some of the weirder elements in his past. "I can handle a little weird if it means I can talk with you." He assured her as he got up from his bed and instead began tearing apart his room as he looked for something. Something important.
"You won't believe all the stuff that's happened since you've been gone! Earth's been attacked a few times, some crazy aliens are setting up a tournament, a war broke out, it's been nuts. Though, there have been some good things too. Those Saiyans have stopped attacking Earth and they even worked with the premier in order to bring back the planets they destroyed... OH! That's right! President Bao kind of never came back from his vacation so Vi Poi took over and is running the planet. There was some kinda crazy election but there was this huge scandal so Vi Poi just sorta took over... It was crazy!"
Nicolas babbled on like a kid using the phone for the first time in his life as he searched through his belongings once more, tossing aside a laundry basket (while sending the clothes flying across the apartment. His robotic companion leaned back and watched as the clothes went hurling into the living room before just giving an exasperated sigh as she went back to her work.
"Captain Nova has still been doing his best to make sure that no one messes with Earth but...I..." He bit his lip, thinking back to the confrontation he had with that demoness and how angry he got with her and just how angry he has been for the past few months. His voice shook as he thought back to how he treated Bing, how he aggressively used his power to take out his own frustrations on the evil doers, How he almost got into fights with his friends.
"...I haven't been the same since you've been gone, I've been doing my best to try and stay smiling but..." He paused, taking another breath. "I couldn't...I was just using the mask to vent my anger. I've been a crappy hero."

Zerori wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth. With a singular nod, she mouthed the words 'Thank you' before focusing her attention on Nicolas as excitedly told her what she missed on Earth. The entire universe even! She paced as he regailed her, her expression changing despite the smile on her face. News of invasions didn't concern her or this tournament - she'd had enough of those to last multiple lifetimes. She raised a curved eyebrow at the idea of her once-contractor turning over a new leaf. She laughed cynically at the mention of WHOLE planets being brought back to life.
At the mention of Vi-Poi, the only knowledge that Zerori possessed being the man whom killed Nicolas and performed atrocities under the Blue Banner name, taking over the Earth Zerori's smiled dropped instantly. It took a gargantuan effort to not say a word as Nicolas continued. At his confession, Zerori sighed over the phone.
"I... When we," She stopped again, "Shit, I'm bad at words. Nicolas, look. You're the strongest, mentally and emotionally, man I've ever known and I'm not known there to be many." She gestured with her arm aggressively, "So what if you roughed up some bad dudes! They're lucky I'm not there to break their arm or worse, Nicolas!" With a final huff, a pang of regret stabbing her in the heart for yelling in the phone. She calmly finished, "If you're a terrible hero, then I'm a bad villain - and don't tell me I'm not!" She accused before she grimaced, "I am literally asking the Prince of Hell to bring me to life so I can-... So I can... Be with you, Nicolas."
She swallowed and glanced at Beelzebub with an embarrassed, angry frown. "I'm sure I'll have to pay it back, but living and living with YOU is worth it. Damn it, you son of a bitch, you're worth it. So, please-
-Don't forget that. I haven't."

"You really are a terrible villain." Nicolas smiled softly as he shook his head, thinking of all the times she not only helped him but others as well. It was like a sweet haze had overtaken him that caused his heart to flutter. "You wouldn't be making me feel this good about myself if you weren't...You dork." He laughed softly as he shook his head, trying to fight back the tears bubbling in his eyes. She really did have this crazy effect on him that turned him into a blubbering fool whenever she He stopped himself however as he found his mysterious object and pocketed it. He stood up straight, inhaling softly as he braced himself once more for the tidal wave of emotions he'd feel talking to her once again.
"I promise, I won't let you down, and I promise...I won't let you go... So...Whatever it is you need for me to do... I'll do it! I'll bring you back!"
