“Right. Send some of your men just to make sure there isn’t another rat hiding somewhere.” Walking Tenshi to the infirmary, he set her down gently on an open bed. “Stay here, my love. I have something I need to attend to, but I promise it will only take a minute.” After walking out the infirmary door, the prince was almost immediately greeted by his father. “Son! You didn’t get hurt, did you? Is your wife alright?” Tourit nodded. “We’re both fine, other than some scrapes. Father, I need to talk to you about something, in private.” Shark motioned for the two guards that had been attending him to leave, and they both walked in opposite directions to block the hallways. “Father, before I drove away the Hokkyokan soldiers, prince Salmo said something that troubled me. Something about Hokkyoku being the original inhabitants of this land and we drove them out, and he stated that was the reason that they sought after it so…” The king sighed heavily. “Son, people will say many things to inspire men to take up arms. Its no great secret that our land provides the most bountiful of harvests on the planet and-“ “But father,” Tourit intervened, “What if he wasn’t lying? He seemed so determined, so driven…I mean I know that our people are honorable, and that our ancestors would never be so nefarious, but what if something did happen? I know people skew the truth in their favor, but what if we aren’t entirely in the right?” The king put his arm on the prince’s shoulder. “Son, nobody knows for sure what the past held.” Shark solemnly stated. Leaning against the wall and taking a breath, he started again. “Let me tell you a tale of a man and his son. There was once a man, named Prana, and he was hated by everyone in his village,” Tourit interjected. “Because he always stole, lied and cheated to everyone, then he had a son who people figured would turn out just like him, but he turned out to be really nice. You used to tell that story to me all the time, I memorized it. How does it relate?” “Our ancestors could have been noble, or they could have been bastards and cutthroats, I don’t know and never will. What I do know is that men can be capable of both good and evil. My own grandfather almost drove this kingdom to the ground, and his son, my father, rebuilt it. The only thing we can change is our own future.” Shark began walking back down the hallway, motioning for his two escorts to follow. “Go and see your wife. Make sure she is alright.” Tourit replied with silence as he walked back to the infirmary. “My love, I’m sorry that took longer than expected.” He sat on her bed with her. “Sorry if I keep asking, but are you feeling ok?”

After Tenshi was put down on the bed, doctors and nurses began taking care of her injuries. The worst would was the long cut from her shoulder and down her arm. They began stitching up her injuries when Tourit said he had to step out. "It's alright. Take care of what you have to." She said, breathing heavier from the pain of the wounds. She just lied there, the medics working on her. Suddenly, an all too familiar android came in. "Well, girly, you succeeded in scaring me half to death." He said, arms crossed. "Ooooh, I'm soooooo sorry I got kidnapped, you jerk!" She said sarcastically. "Woah! someone's getting a sassy attitude. Well, you are being taking care of. I'm off to check on the sea urchin." Tenshi gave a confused look, making Tabby roll his eyes. "Takifugu. Get used to nicknames for the kid. But he's a strong ally." With that he walked out. After a little bit more, a servant came in. "Your highness, the queen, will be kept under lockdown and the king has set up an emergency meeting, so they will not be able to see you." They walked out after Tenshi gave a simple nod. She was drained... so much had happened today, plus she kept feeling the movements of the baby. After another few minutes, Tourit came back. She gave him a small smile, the medics beginning to wrap up her head and arms. She took his hand, just smiling. "I'm alright, Tourit. Once these are healed up, I'll be back to my normal self. You don't have to worry about me so much." She gave a kiss on his hand, relaxing with him. Her smile faltered, however. "Wh... what will happen when war if officially declared, Tourit... Will... you have to fight?" She was nervous about this, terrified if she would lose him. If he perished in this war... she would be a widow, and their child will be without a father.
Hanma had multiple guards around him. His wife was locked away in a secure room, guarded with the other queen, as well. Now, he received information that Tenshi was rescued and in the infirmary. Now, he needed to talk with Shark about what their plans. Walking through the halls, he spotted him. "Shark, there you are." He stopped in front of him, standing strong, but stress and worry in his eyes. "We must discuss... officially declaring war. Our kingdoms are being threatened by Hokkyoku and their military. We have to immediately speak with the other kingdoms and to make sure who is fighting with us and against us. And... we must tell our people that our kingdoms, and maybe all of Tayona is at war." It was a solemn declaration, but it had to be done.

Tourit grimaced a bit at his wife’s question. “If war is declared…Then yes. I will have to be on the front lines myself.” He put his hand on Tenshi’s waist. “But I won’t perish. I swear it, I will survive, and our child will have both of their parents to raise them.” He kissed her forehead. “I love you.”
“Hanma.” Shark greeted his friend. He knew all too well what he was about to suggest, and after the conversation he had with his son, he was mentally exhausted. Still, he had a duty to his people. After hearing him out, he couldn’t help but agree with Hanma. “All-out war should be declared. And after such an era of peace… Of course Hokkyoku had to rile things up again. I’m going to start wartime preparations. Hopefully Hokkyoku will agree to a treaty before too much blood is shed…”

Tenshi closed her eyes, still worried inside. It was so worrisome about him fighting in this war. And... if the war makes it to her home again, they may try to kill her or their baby once again. "Let's hope that this won't last too long. Our home isn't meant to be surrounded by turmoil, Tourit. I hate that we're bringing a new life into this type of environment." The medics finally completed with taking care of Tenshi's injuries, and even did a fast check if there was any bruising or possible damage on her stomach to the baby. "You will be fine, and the baby is fine. In a couple of months, the heir will enter the world, your highness." They left the two lovers together alone. She gave the best smile she could to her husband. "I love you too, Tourit... I hope that some solution could happen in this short time."
Hanma nodded to Shark, agreeing. This day was so unexpected, and by nightfall, the planet would be at way. Hanma summoned a few of his men. "Make sure the area is protected and prepare for an announcement. Notify Prince Tourit. He must be aware of the declaration of war. Also, make sure not a singe person, besides the royal family and guards goes near Princess Tenshira." With a nod, people began running around. "Shark, the other kingdoms must immediately be communicated with. We have to know who is with us, and who's against us."

“A couple months, huh…” Tourit let out a small smile. “Just a couple months, then I’m going to be a father….” Today did not go nearly as well as Shark had hoped. He was just glad that his son, along with Hanma’s daughter, were not badly hurt. “I’ll tell my son right away. He’ll be prepared.” He began walking towards the infirmary to personally deliver the message. “Indohito usually tends to avoid these sorts of conflict, ever since my grandfather’s conquest. Regardless, we will ask them for their support. Most of the major provinces are allied with us, with the exception of Nanpo. Hokkyoku has strengthened their ties with them, which may prove to be an issue.” Watching all the captains, messengers, and medics run around sunk the sour feeling of war into Shark’s soul. The crown atop his head hadn’t felt so heavy in a long time.

"Then we immediately have to prepare to fully guard all borders. We will also be starting planning out possible evacuations for the citizens." Hanma began walking through the destroyed halls, heading to the armory. However, he felt a knot in his stomach when he saw a pile of their treasures, scattered. They were trying not only to murder his beloved daughter and his unborn grandchild, but tried to pillage his home. He wouldn't stand for this. He went into the ruined armory, trying to ignore the dead man, and put on his armor. He hadn't worn this in decades, and now, he was wearing it to fight an enemy that threatened his people and his family.
Commotion began through the castle, easily heard through the door. War was beginning today, and nothing could stop it. Soon, one of the soldier's came into the infirmary. "The king has summoned the head medic... we are preparing for war. King Shark will soon come to retrieve you, Lord Tourit." This sent chills through Tenshi's body. Why did it have to happen now? "Oh god..." She said, holding Tourit's hand tightly. She rubbed her stomach, afraid on another attempt on her baby's life.
People already began to gather in front of the castle, even before any announcements were made. The second that the two kings decided to declare war, the citizens somehow knew. This would change everything in these peace loving kingdom, and fear spread like wildfire.

“I’ve changed a lot…” Shark thought to himself as he prepared to make the announcement. “When I was a younger man I used to crave battle…I wanted so badly to pick up where my grandfather left off…” The faces of worry on the citizens of Atorantikku assured the king that they were well aware of what was going to happen. The marks of where the attackers had done their work were still very visible. “So, we’re finally deciding to take Hokkyoku to war again…” Tourit got up from the bed dutifully. “According to the history books, the last time we were at all out war with Hokkyoku was when my grandfather’s grandfather lead our country.” Tourit kissed his wife on the forehead before heading to the door. “Don’t worry. It’s not as bad as it sounds. What’s most likely going to happen is we are going to get into a few skirmishes before forcing Hokkyoku into a treaty. This whole thing will blow over in a few years, not much blood is going to be spilled.” It was a partial lie. Tourit was sure that this would last several years at least, but he was also sure that Hokkyoku wouldn’t act very docile. He said a quick prayer, asking for minimal lives to be lost. “Our lives won’t even change too much. I promise.” With a heavy sigh, he leads the announcement. “Citizens. As is already very clear, Hokkyoku has made decisions that are war-worthy. I know there has been much worry on whether or not total war would be declared.” He stepped back, and allowed Hanma to step forward to make the announcement to his people.

Tenshi smiled after Tourit kissed her forehead, though the terror of war filled her. Everything was crashing around them, and this baby would have to suffer through a war the second they were born. She closed her eyes, reclining as she tried to clear her mind. The main worry was about the fate of her husband in this war. After only a moment of lying there, she couldn't take it. She used her powers and pulled a wheelchair over to her, slowly floating over and sitting before making it wheel to where she could at least hear the announcement.
Hanma stood near Shark and Tourit as the announcement began, seeing and hearing the shock, worry, and terror of war; Mothers held their children, as if shielding them, young men stood strong, as if ready to fight, and the elders looked with solemn eyes, hearing the end of the peace they've known all their lives. When Shark stood back, Hanma walked forward. "I know this news isn't something we want. It is a tragic declaration that must be made. We would want this conflict to end in peace, but the moment our family and friends are attacks and killed, all hospitality with Hokkyoku ended. We will protect the innocent from anymore harm against the enemy, even if it claims our lives. We are fighting, now we need you to fight through this turmoil and support our kingdoms, and one day, peace will return to Tayona, and all its people!" He called out, with some cheers coming from the crowd. Hanma's chest was knotted up, having to tell his people they were at war. But... it was all for his people, and his child and grandchild.
A line of guards stood around the castle, keeping an eye on the kings and prince, as well as the people. One of the patrolling guards stepped away, hiding from everyone. He pulled out a walkie talkie, speaking in it. "Sir, did you hear all of that?" He said. This man wasn't a Atorantikku guard... He was with Hokkyoku guard. "Loud and clear. Our armies will be assembled immediately. Remain there. You will be in charge of slaughtering the heir once it is born. I will notify the prince about this." With that, the talk was finished and the soldier went back to "work".
