I had noticed in my time here that we have a lot of people on site who either play D&D or are interested in learning how to play. Sometime near the start of this month, I brought up starting a group in the cbox and the reaction I got was positive. I stated that I would see about starting a group when my schedule allowed for it. Well, at this point, I can run a casual game to teach new players OR a casual game for people who already know how to play. (Unfortunately, I can't do both)
Which brings me to this thread. This is sort of an interest check to see if people are still interested in this idea. On top of that, i'd also like to hear if we have any potential DM's or people who would like to learn how to be a DM. (Need DM's pl0x. I can do it, but I think i'm mediocre.)
I feel like something like this could go a long way towards community building.
So, let me know what you think!

Awww yea. Do you play or DM? Or both? I do both and I like to do both.

I usually get stuck playing DM. Its rare I actually get to play as a character.
So I can DM and Play, but i'd prefer to play. I'm tried of being DM

If you can help a complete newb learn the ye old' rules of the DnD, I'd be down! I think there's all sorts of types of DnD like Pathfinder, 5e, or whatever- any idea what we'd be using to get this party started?

I've only done 4e and 5e so *shrugs* you'd have to teach me past that point

I have experience with 3.5e, Pathfinder and 5e. I'd be open to co-DM to handle the mechanical side of things if someone else runs the story side (I'll keep rules straight, but I have trouble running encounters with a lot of mobs).
As an aside, 5e would be the easiest for new people to learn.

Hey Ginge! Any DM help at all would be appreciated. I agree with your stance on 5e as well, so we'll be using that. (It helps 5e and Dragon Age are the only systems I know lol) I'll PM ya a link to the Discord.

Would it be alright if I tried as well? I've always wanted to try DnD but never had the chance.
