Ais had been enjoying his brief respite from the war in the headquarters of the Mazoku Dominion. This wasn't to last, however, as he soon heard that they were going to make their move on the Brenchian Gemini. Ais smirked. No way he was going to miss that. He hoped this takeover would go better for him than the last one. While he walked away from that battle alive, it was only just barely. He marched outside, heading to his spaceship which he had lovingly named "Kuul's Revenge" after his father. He pressed a series of buttons on his remote control, a series of beeps indicating that the alarm and lock had been disengaged. The clear dome over the cockpit slid open. Before Ais could get in, however, he heard a voice from behind him.
"Lord Ais, hold!" Came the gruff, yet familiar voice. Ais turned and saw Cello, his Namekian bodyguard. He had been flying through the air to catch up with him, landing a few feet away from the Changeling lord. "Lord Ais, you aren't thinking of running off again, are you?"
"I'm afraid so, Cello. We're going for the Gemini. I need to go with them." He was about to turn back when Cello did something he didn't do normally; protest.
"Lord Ais, with all due respect you only just got back! You nearly died last time you went off-planet without me. If something happens to you and I could have stopped it, i'll never forgive myself for following your order to stay." Cello stood at attention, more than a little nervous after having denied his lord. Ais raised his the bony plating on his brow in surprise and intrigue. Cello changed a bit without him there. He'd have to talk to him more when he got back.
"Cello, you are my most loyal friend. I have known you since I was a child. I have put a lot of trust in you, so now you must trust me when I say that this is something I have to do on my own. I am not a boy anymore, Cello. I am a man. I need to prove to myself and everyone that I don't need protection." After that uncharacteristic speech, Ais clapped Cello on the arm. "I'll be back before you know it." With that, Ais hopped into his cockpit, leaving Cello alone in silence. The dome over the cockpit closed, sealing Ais inside.
"Welcome, Lord Ais. How may I serve you?" Came the synthesized male voice from the computer.
"Aoi Brenchia. Fast as you can. Engage hypersleep, too. I don't want to be bored out of my skull on the way there." Ais initiated the launch sequence and waved to Cello as the engines roared to life.
"Coordinates received. Your location is Aoi Brenchia. Launch sequence initiated. Launch will begin and hypersleep will engage in ten... nine... eight... seven..." A pod formed around the captain's chair and sealed Ais inside of it, moving backwards and leaning back to put Ais in a lying down position. "Six... five... four... three... two... one. Launch. Engage hypersleep." As the spacecraft launched into the sky, Ais fell into a deep sleep that he would not awaken from until he reached his destination. As the Namekian on the ground watched his lord's ship quickly break out of the planet's atmosphere, he uttered a single phrase.
"You better come home... lord Ais."
Solo end! I'll take PL please.
