I thought I might be fun to play as an ogre in the afterlife who acts as a defense attorney to some souls, trying to defend their case and push them towards the path of heaven instead of hell. I know that realistically and almost always I will fail, but the intent isn't to actually influence the judgement of the staff, it's to have fun role playing. If I were to do this, I would be buying a Guard on Jizo's account and playing it from there. Just figured I'd open a discussion thread in order to see if it were possible and any problems of suggestions some may have about Shoko

oH YES. As a shameless, avid Ace Attorney fan, I'd LOVE to see this happen... But personal bias aside, I have my doubts. I'm not sure if the Dragonball setting is appropriate for this idea for one. An "Afterlife Attorney" thread/arc/whatever would require LOTS of cooperation, plotting, and dedication from all sides. Cohesive mystery plots have been VERY hard to make from my experience. But, with proper execution, it might just be possible. I'd gladly play a prosecuting/defending/detective ogre myself, possibly. Perhaps you can prosecute the souls of NPCs at first, and if that works well, maaaaybbeee we can do one little thing with a player character if they agree. But this sounds like a fun time, albeit one that would require a lot of planning for the plot. I'd love to see it happen, and I'd maybe even take part in this if it becomes a real thing.

Yeah! I don't want him to take up a full slot but I'd love to have a my NPC Attorney go head to head with a prosecuting Ogre! I was thinking that if we can't start with Player Characters and Yemma at first, there could be like a court in Hell where they decide where the already Hell-bound souls end up in Hell, considering it has different levels of punishment for different levels of neutral-to-evil. I'm super excited!

Technically we already have Afterlife lawyers. Kami, Guru, and any character similarly spiritually inclined (such as Alaistair or Zuni ) can show up during a souls judgement to push them towards heaven or hell, though you'd need to know the character in question beforehand and they'd need enough reason to show up.

It's a neat idea, but timing would be hard, and to be honest -- staff doesn't get any sort of benefit from RPing as Yemma (or any of the NPCs) and asking them to do more for no reason would be a bit much.

It's a neat idea, but timing would be hard, and to be honest -- staff doesn't get any sort of benefit from RPing as Yemma (or any of the NPCs) and asking them to do more for no reason would be a bit much. Understandable. Just thought it would be a neat idea, is all.
