Fizz’s teeth chattered. The North was cold. Way colder than home back in the Southern Islands. The saiyan's body shivered as he sat on a park bench near a small coffee shop.
"Jeez. I came here to get used to extreme temperatures and I can barely keep myself from freezing."
Fizz raised a coffee cup up to his lips, then sipped from it. A warm sensation coursed through his body, leaving the boy satisfied. After downing the rest of the coffee, the saiyan got up and began to walk on the sidewalk, shielding his eyes from the snow. No one was really on the streets today, and few shops were open due to the weather. If nothing spurred his interest soon, Fizz was going to pack it up and read home. Soon enough, the sun starting setting, the snow picked up, and the remaining stores in the town closed up for the day. Wind blew past Fizz’s face, carrying off the boy's hat elsewhere. Shielding his eyes once more, Fizz trudged on.
Saiyan Clash in the Land of Snow Thread PL: 14,132 [18,843 W/O Light Weights] Modifiers: Light Weights
While Sai began his day in the North, wearing nothing more than his normal Gi. Due to previous training, he was fairly use to withstanding the cold. The young hybrid would wear his light weights, as to prepare for a day of training, and began to walk out of a cave that he was sleeping in. Whenever he had went on certain expeditions to train, he would mostly sleep in caves, forests, or truly anywhere he could get his hands on. Sai had grown up to learn how to not be picky, especially under the guidance of his previous sensei's, Daika and Celmaru.
As Sai left the cave, he would swiftly stretch his muscles and began to fly towards a town that was close-by. He had been using that town to buy supplies and food for himself when he needed them. When he got closer, he noticed a power level that was fairly high compared to one of a normal human. The curiosity of a 15 year old kicked in, as he flew towards in.
Finally arriving towards where the significant power level was he noticed another young man that was barely grasping onto his own heat. It was evident that this male had wasn't use to the conditions presented at the North, yet either way his power level was high enough for Sai to spar with. Sai hadn't had a spar in a while, and he did feel as if normal training had gotten fairly boring. The young hybrid walked from behind Fizz, then once getting close enough he would place his hand of Fizz's shoulder. "Hey, what's your name."
Sai couldn't help but chuckle at Fizz's remarks about him. Sai knew he was fairly strong, but not that strong. This kid didn't look like a human, he looked more like a Saiyan, but he seemed like a cheery one. The young hybrid had never met such a nice Saiyan, but he dispelled ideals such as that from his mind. He would begin to scratch his head as he smiled and then spoke up. "Hey, yeah I've trained here before, so I got fairly used to it." Sai let go of Fizz's shoulder as he placed his hands by his sides. What would he do, challenge the a guy that he barely knew. Despite Sai being desperate for battles and training, he wouldn't normally approach a stranger like this.
"The name's Sai. I'm from around here haha, not much to really say. But tell me Fizz, while I was coming here from the mountains I noticed your beyond-average power level. Any reason why that is?" Sai would smile as he asked the question, implying that he didn't want to impose. If Fizz were not to answer, the young hybrid wouldn't mind. He truly didn't want to pester anyone about their history to the point where they would dislike him.
"What do you mean power level? I dunno anything about that." Fizz's breath because more visible in the air as the snow began to recede. As the chill began to fade, the town Fizz found himself in had become visible, unlike before. With the chill finally taken away, Fizz unzipped his jacket and threw it on the ground. It was still chilly, but with the sun now out, he could bear the elements with little problem.
"But if you're talking about 'power', I'm sure you want to spar, am I right?" He never did it on purpose, but his tone became slightly selfish, almost like he needed to fight someone. His saiyan genes became more evident in the last few years than they ever had before.
"I'm really no that strong, friend. But I can tell you are. No average person can walk around in a blizzard and feel nothing." Fizz stepped back a bit, grinding his old sneakers into the dirt and snow. The saiyan gripped his hands and hunched over, then suddenly, exploded in a rigid white aura.
"It's not much. I'm not a fighter yet, but I can generate an aura. I'm not strong like you, but I won't walk away from a fight." Fizz smiled as he took a battle stance. Specs of fading snow fell on his shoulders as he awaited Sai's responce.
Sai couldn't help but laugh at Fizz's remark. It seemed as he didn't know much about power levels or anything of that sort. As Fizz challenged Sai to a spar, Sai had began to make preparations. He stood his ground and began to tighten his Gi's belt. As he did such, he would sigh and then speak to his new acquaintance. "Ok then, I guess I'm up for a spar. You don't seem like much, but a spar is a spar. If I can help you grow at least a wee'bit I'll be fine." The young hybrid would swiftly manifest his aura around him as the darkish purple hue grew larger and larger. It seemed as if it engulfed him, as he continued to stand right in front of Fizz. Sai truly didn't move nor did he want too. He stood facing the Saiyan while his hands were by his side. Either way, he was fairly ready to spar.
Fizz gritted his teeth at Sam's comment. Yeah, he still was weak. Above average power level or not, the boy was still a weakling, and he wanted that to change.
"So is what I hear about saiyan's true?" Fizz asked, a smug look on his face.
"Do they really get stronger when they take a lot of damage?" Fizz gathered more energy, attempting to match the density of Sam's aura to no avail.
"If that's true, I want you to fight me with as much as you can take, you know? I'm not gonna get any stronger from someone going easy on me!" The saiyan dashed forward, moving as quickly as he could at the hybrid. Fizz’s hair flowed in the hair as he moved and he reared back his fist, aiming it at Sai's stomach.
As Sai continued to listen to what Fizz had to say, he continued to be ready for battle. He was previously already ready for an attack and once Fizz finished his speech and began dashing towards him, it was fairly simple for Sai to block his attack, but not so much avoid it. Sai wasn't fast enough to dodge the attack that was already pretty close, so he did the only thing he could. He swiftly rose his foot as to kick Fizz in the side before he could get too close. Once his kick landed, which it most surely did, Fizz would began to fly to the sides as his opponent didn't truly seem to be ready to get beat up; unlike he proposed. Sai swiftly charged his legs back as he pushed forward and flew straight into Fizz and as he did such he would send a a punch to Fizz's stomach, equally as strong as a ki charge. As he did his combo, he would stand a bit away as Fizz was on the ground. Sai would smirk as he looked at his opponent. "So. was that enough or can you still take more?"
Sai's foot slammed firmly in Fizz’s side, sending unmeasurable pain into the boy's body. The force emmited send the saiyan flying into a nearby store, cracking the wall of the building. Fizz’s aura fades away quickly, but he was still alive, his heart still beating. Soon enough, Sai charges forward, planting his fist into Fizz’s abdomen. The force caused further cracks in the building, and Fizz winced in pain. Blood trickled from the boy's mouth as he panted. Fizz gripped his stomach, hoping to keep himself from throwing up. The saiyan caught his breath, than looked up at his opponent.
"Jeez... No... Holding back... Huh?" Fizz chuckled, blood spewing from his teeth as he did. He rose from the building, still holding his stomach as he faced Sai.
"Yeah I can still fight.." Fizz moved forward, but after a step, fell onto the ground, held up by his elbows.
While Sai, looked down at Fizz, and to see the amount of blood and pain he had caused the main he truly felt bad. He didn't want to hurt him that hard. All that went through Sai's mind was, "Shit. Shit. Shit..." He began to scratch the top of his head as his face turned red with embarrassment. He gently smiled, and got out his hand for Fizz to grab. As he did such, he would began to speak to his opponent and new-found friend. "Hey... No need to push yourself beyond your own limits. Don't worry you'll grow just like I did haha. Anyways, since I feel sorry I'd like to invite you for a drink then maybe we could train even more."
Sai truly felt bad, but there wasn't much for him to do to help Fizz anymore. He had offered him moral support and physical support, just so Fizz was truly ok. Yet Sai did like Fizz's personality and already saw him as a friend. He hoped that Fizz saw things the same way, hopefully he did.
Fizz accepted Sai's hand and brought himself up from the ground. Pain was evidence in his face, but Fizz tried hard to ignore it. Once on his feet, he bent over to catch his breath. He was still alive. That had to meet something, right? That blood that trickled from his mouth meant that he was living. The saiyan wiped the blood from his face, and lifted up his shirt to check the damage. A giant red mark spanned Fizz’s side, but other than that, and a few cracked ribs, he was going to be okay.
"What's the point in fighting if you can't push the limits, huh?" Fizz asked, looking over in Sai's direction. He began to laugh, but stopped due to a rush of pain in his stomach. The boy grasped his abdomen again.
"And fighting keeps you alive. That's why you can't give up, right?"
Sai couldn’t help but feel bad at how much pain he had put Fizz in. He would sigh as he helped him up, and would pick him up, placing him on his back. As he gave Fizz a piggy back ride to a coffee shop he would smile as he placed him down in front of it guiding him inside. “It’d be best for us to both go in. I’ll buy you a cup of coffee, don’t worry haha.” He would chuckle, and then entered the coffee shop.
The young hybrid would swiftly sit down at an empty table of 2 as he called over the waitress. The waitress seemed to be a beautiful young woman, that was in her teen years or around that. Sai was a lover of woman, and to some he was even considered a perv. Sai swiftly began to blush as the woman asked him what he wanted to drink. He would smile, cheeks red, then saying: “Anything you can give me baby…. But umm, I would like a half and half, if you could. Maybe also a pancake on the side ye. What about you Fizz?”
"An order of fried bean buns, please." Fizz rubbed his hand up and down his side as he sat down at the small table in the cafe.
"You don't have to buy me food just because you beat me up, Sai. It's not that big of a deal, I rushed you. If anything, I should he buying you food for wasting your time." Fizz kicked back, stretching his neck and back against the uncomfortable chair he had placed himself in.
"Better yet, maybe I just need to get better. I'm pretty right now, to be completely honest. Sorry."
"No, no, no. I'm simply doing this so I don't feel guilty. Don't make me feel any worse haha.” The young hybrid smiled and grabbed the fork that was placed on the table in front of him and began to fiddle with it. Through such he would then look up at his new found friend and gave him a large smile. “So Fizz, tell me more about yourself. I didn’t learn much about you from fighting ya.”
