Konats. The name put a strange taste in Xylo's mouth. It reeked of poor living and bootleg magics. The streets were dirty with stains of what looked like blood, and the few citizens the Mazoku came across seemed uneasy. It was the kind of place a conniving, scheming, slimy demon would set up shop.
It was only fitting that Alaistair had slithered his way here.
The Namekian Lord walked through the city streets with purpose, his synthetic leather armor ignoring the wind entirely. Although it sounded a bit silly, it was nice to leave the cloak behind; the old black rag was about as intimidating as a paper bag at this point.
It wasn't long before Xylo came across the castle of Ocariin. It was as unappealing as the rest of this dump of a planet. How anyone would want to rule it was beyond him, but perhaps the King would be willing to bend the knee and join the Mazoku Dominion. Even the dirtiest fool could be a useful soldier, after all.
With a few swift strides, Xylo appeared in front of the castle, flat out ignoring the words of the two guards at the front gate. He brought a finger up to his neck, allowing Ki to flow to his vocal cords to amplify his words to a massively loud level.
"Alaistair! It's time we settle things! Get out here before I drag you out by your slime-coated hair!"
The two guards took a nervous step back. This was a serious issue. If Alaistair didn't come out soon, there would be more than Hell to pay...
Alaistair your old buddy wants to punch you! Better come quick! inviting Sax
"What do you want," Alaistair called out, approaching from behind the guards, "I've been immensely busy since we took this planet over from a rat bastard that blew up the populace and city... A loser's move, I have to say."
Alaistair was in no real mood for Xylo's anger. He did want to meet with the Namekian, but after the past few weeks, Alaistair had no time for rest. The Devil looked like he was getting crows feet, after so long.
Alaistair gave Xylo a smile, however, before asking him in a much more pleasant tone, "How have you been, Xylo? You've gotten fairly stronger since the last time we met. You know fully well you can just simply request to see me instead of shouting out loud, at this place of Plato's."
He put a hand forward open palmed and spinning it in a circle, resuming, "However, I assume you're here on important matters? We'll need to save them for until Plato gets here. I'm only this planet's Ambassador, after all."
"You can't mean we are going to fight the SSE they are far too powerful." One of Plato's Council Member an Old Konstain slammed his fist down on the desk in the backroom where they talked about policy. Plato Council of Konstain 2 Older Konstain, One who really didn't know much about that being the court wizard Max who by the recommendation of the other Council member and Demetrius who was the only council member who had survived as he fled with Plato. He was now his left hand man. Regardless the council was not for his plans which were still are sketched out. Plato nodded to the man, "Well as I’ve said we need to do something the SSE need to pay for what they have done." Plato said sitting down in the chair as one of the member of the council got to his feet, "The sse is a force of powerful warriors we cannot fight them perhaps we need some form of peace." Plato turned his head looking at his council member, "You want to make peace with our foes. They came here and invaded our home and you want to make peace with them." The council member stepped back nodding, "I am saying it as a countermeasure we don't want to damage the planet more than it has already had I understand the SSE need to pay but we cannot risk more people for a goal like that your grace I meant no disrespect." He bowed his head to Plato bowing his head, "Yes I was a little rash for now we should focus I a rebuild we should get in contact with some of the SSE see if we can work out an arrangement of peace." Plato turned as they were about to speak on another issue Plato raising his hand. The massive power heading towards the castle and he knew who it was. Plato turned his head, "Council you are dismissed something has come up." Plato said as they looked at each other confused but the seriousness in Plato's voice told them otherwise not to ask why. They left the room Plato staring out of the window in front as he could see the slug heading his way. He crossed his arms behind his back staring out of the window as he felt another power knowing it was Alistair. He knew they were not on the best of terms they were meeting right in the castle. If it got violent then the whole city could be destroyed.
Plato Strided out of the room heading downstairs with his hands behind his back He could here Alistair smooth tongue as he seemed to be speaking to Xylo already. The Konstian hoped Xylo was not gearing up to attack they had just recovered and why he believed he could fight Xylo this secret weapon he had. If it had been strong enough to defeat Etoru even Alistair and him together would be at xylo's mercy and he doubted Xylo mercy would extend enough to not at least leave the city in rubble. Plato stepped out from the stairs near the entrance the guards turning their heads, "King Plato has arrived." One yelled as other guards streamed towards him but he raised his arms, "Your service is not needed for the time being make sure the people are in position just in case we need to move people out of the city." he said calmly as the captain of the guard saluted and they streamed out of the castle to make sure everyone was safe. If this was an invasion then the guards should be out making sure everyone was alright and that there was no trouble. The King strides he pulling off his mask to address Xylo in person. His face was not as monstrous as Alistair had saw but it did seem like he had been burned all up his face at least to Xylo. Of course that was farther from the truth. His face was grey and cracked still healing from the magic abuse he had performed to reach his new peak of power. He had given up a lot for the power he now had. Silver hair flowed out from under his hood as he pulled it down looking right in the eyes of the King of the Namakians. It was a glance to study the Namakians he had grown a great deal stronger since he had left hell. He was strong in hell but now he was a Monster. He was not the level of someone like walker or Etoru but he could see if his grown continued he may have caught them. "Lord Xylo it is nice to see you I hope everything is going well on Namak, you don't need to call me King just call me Plato that will work fine for me." He brought his hand forward pointing softly at Alistair before moving to Xylo. "I know you two you have some grudge however since your here Xylo perhaps we can find a way to fix this issue or maybe not either way I’m quite ready to hear what will be said between you two."
Xylo scowled at Alaistair. The slimy demon had the gall to call himself busy! What could he possibly be doing? throwing muck at the wall to see what filth-ridden creature would be foolish enough to work under him? "Spare me the sob story about how terribly busy you are, imp. It'll make things simpler if we just cut the crap." Alaistair quickly mentioned someone named 'Plato'-- somewhat familiar, but nothing intensely noteworthy. Perhaps it would come back to him if the idiot showed himself.
Soon enough, said fool swung by, his main fear seeming to be Xylo's intentions here. He ordered his men to prepare an evacuation, causing Xylo to chuckle. "Please. If I wanted to kill your people you wouldn't have the chance to evacuate. This entire city could have been rubble in mere seconds. I suppose it's good for you that I'm not as ruthless as the Solar Empire."
He gave the two of them a critical glare. They were strong for sure. It was nothing Xylo couldn't handle, but it would more than likely give him a lot of trouble. If he was going to fight, it'd be for the best to keep it to a one-on-one.
"I'll make this quick. There's not many good options for either of you, so I suggest you listen well; I want to make a new alliance. If we want to take down the Solar Empire, or at the very least keep what we have to ourselves, then we need to work together." Xylo folded his arms across his chest, looking back and forth between the two fools in front of him, before focusing on Alaistair more intently. "We are not going to be equals this time, understand? You will work under me, and when I tell you to do something, you will listen. If that's not agreeable with you, then perhaps you'd prefer being another speed bump on the warpath of the Solar Empire."
He turned focus to Plato for a moment, looking him up and down before speaking. "I hear your city was attacked recently. How's your army looking? Can it fight well? If not, can you at least defend yourself? If we work together I don't want to have to double-back to protect you."
Plato soon arrived, his arrival announced by a servant. Xylo, meanwhile, seemed to think he'd been holding all the power here, Alaistair raising an eyebrow and looking at him with eyes half opened, thinking that he had all the power here. He started listing options to them, insisting that they work under him so they could work together to fight the SSE. On top of that, he'd threaten Alaistair directly, thinking Alaistair would cobble under him. After that, he spoke to Plato insisting that he join for the sake of defending Konats.
"Keep in mind that we've allies in the SSE, Plato, even though we do want to take down the current regime," Alaistair'd speak to Plato's mind, "Nitpick what he's saying right now... I imagine he actually has no forces capable of handling the SSE, so he's here because I'm here and had been gathering people."
"Suppose we humor you, Xylo. What're you going to give in to have us assist you," Alaistair spoke up to the Namekian, "As you've pointed out, we just got out of taking back the planet and we're in some repair right now. What'd you do for us to get us to help you?"
"If you wanted to kill my people I’d tread very lightly Xylo...very lightly." Plato stepped up looking Xylo dead in the eyes. Xylo explained that if they wanted to defeat the SSE or at the very least keep their own territories. He closed his eyes for a moment pondering the choice. Join a madman like Xylo or refuse. Xylo was right about one thing both didn't present all that good of options. "Yes I want revenge on the see but let’s say you and me make an alliance and we fight the see yes. What are we going to do your powerful and your demon is powerful as well but last time from what I understand you barley won their was two battlefronts and if you'd fought all the strongest fighters you'd been doomed. I sensed when walker died that bastard I’m curious was he with you or against you I don't know but I really want to know he and I have a history and I want to know which side did he die on." Plato stride putting his arms behind his back looking Xylo in the eyes, "Now as I said your powerful it my honest believe with your skills that I have seen when you handled Zerori in hell you could defeat foes beyond your strength but there are many people more powerful than us." Plato raised his arms as if to shrug. It'd be idiotic for him to side with Xylo if he was the only muscle he honestly had and if he didn't have a plan. He was not stupid he wanted vengeance but he would not let it cloud his judgement. Where they stood now they never stood a chance. He looked at Xylo, "So tell me who other than you do you have that actually can do something I’m talking about people that can at least tango with a super saiyan as were going to be facing a lot of those if we head to the Saiyans." He nodded to Xylo, “Yes Konats was attack by us it is a long story. Anyhow we lost a lot of people and were rebuilding but if you’re asking if I can set up an army I can create an army with enough fire power to put the Saiyans ozzaru to shame. The kashvarr arts hold many secrets and if it comes to blows.” He raised his arms as fire rushed up his arm, “My people will be ready and we will blow them back permanently.” He said the somber smoke of his beast forming behind him though it did not take shape. Perhaps it was a warning and perhaps it was a brief hint of his power. He didn’t care how Xylo took it.
"I'll offer the only thing a wounded planet needs-- Protection. I'll make sure your surviving people are healthy and your city quickly repaired by providing a few Dragon Clan Mystics. With their advanced healing magics, they'll be more than willing to mend this world, and they can do so with unmatched speed. I'll also bolster your defenses if needed by sending a few squadrons of Mazoku Warriors. As long as you offer your loyalty, I can offer that much, and when we succeed in demolishing the Solar Empire, you will have so much more."
Xylo focused in on Plato, his gaze locking with Plato's own. Whatever pitiful attempt at intimidation the King was trying to pull off was failing miserably. If anything, Plato's bravado-infused statements at the tail-end of his speech only proved how unprepared he was to lead. It wasn't like Xylo cared about his leadership skills, though; He needed a viable grunt, not a fellow Lord.
The question of Walker's relation to Xylo was a tough one to answer. It was obvious that Plato had some seriously bad blood with the fellow judging by how venomously he referred to him. If Alaistair weren't aware of Xylo's connection, it'd be much easier to lie, but perhaps being truthful would be better in the long run anyways. "I suppose its best I be straight with you. Walker was my brother... In a way. He carried my Father's blood in his veins, but he was a strange creature. I tried to connect with him, but my efforts did not go so well. In the end, he was a wild card, playing both sides for his own gain. He was killed due to a severe lack of battle strategy."
Not all of what Xylo said was entirely true, but it wasn't like Alaistair would be able to correct him. For all they knew, Walker really was playing both sides. Maybe it truly was for the best that he had died that day.
Xylo moved on to the next question, deciding to show a bit more of his hand in hopes to tip the scales of this conversation in his favor. "My forces are strong enough to deal with Oozaru, but only a few can truly deal with those golden bastards. Luckily, I've got the Arcosian Empire on my side. More than a handful of their top soldiers can down a Super Saiyan without breaking a sweat."
A chuckle involuntarily escaped Xylo as Plato attempted to show off his Kashvarr magic. It was starting to feel like he had front-row seats to a Tough-Guy Amateur Hour show. "Good to hear. I wouldn't want to be enlisting a planet of weaklings for my assault on the Solar Empire."
His eyes darted back to Alaistair, the Namekian's signature scowl returning. The silver-tongued Devil was probably whispering in Plato's mind with magics, as he so loved to do. If it weren't for the potential power boost Alaistair could gain while in Hell, Xylo would obliterate him right where he stood. Things would be so much simpler if this timeless bag of wrinkled skin and poor decisions had stayed dead the first time.
"I've got a lot of things on my plate, King Plato. What's your decision?"
Alaistair's raised eyebrow to Xylo remained, although he did look to Plato every now and again as the King spoke about what he could accomplish, and the questions that Alaistair would be asking if he weren't asking them. Xylo wanted to develop an assault on the Empire, which made the Devil want to burst out in laughter! Xylo gave him his common sneer, no doubt running through his head this belief that he'd been lying to everyone and everything around him. Clearly needed to look in the mirror before anything.
"We have our own means of dismantling the empire, remember that, Plato," Alaistair spoke once more the King's mind, "If needed, I'll give you part of my power so that you can receive my memories of what happened on Namek and then some. You do NOT want to work with Xylo, let alone under him... If he tries to put Konats on his warpath, I have a network to contact Vennel and Kaza once more, with warriors from that Empire to assist us, and from the Earth if you wish me to ensure this planet doesn't end up in his slimy hands."
Alaistair slid his hands together, looking to Plato and hoping that the King wouldn't side with this former ally!
"Oh Protection." Plato put a finger to his lip as Xylo keep speaking about his dragon clan mystics. He said he could mend the world and once the SSE was defeated he'd get so much more. The King strided forward looking Xylo dead in the eyes. The Namakian wanted loyalty he could be loyal that was not a high price but he'd play his cards. Xylo thought he had the advantage but Plato thought otherwise. Alistair and Plato were both powerful he needed them if he wanted to beat the SSE. He knew that the SSE had the earthlings as allies he'd need them. He would need Vennel and Kaza too if he wanted to win and he'd need a mole in earth society. He'd need more then brute force which it seemed the Namak lord was focused on. He had already assumed he had become some fearsome being that'd make Plato bend without a fight. If he died fighting for Konats then the consequence would come after but he'd let them be ruled by someone off there planet. Plato tilted his head up so he could stare at Xylo face, "You can't mend mental scars Lord Xylo you cannot mend the damage that was caused with all the dead you cannot mend the pain they will exist and the void that has been caused. You cannot bend the magic of the kashvarr that nearly destroyed this world. You cannot cure the children who suffered because of both regimes the one before mine and the one that tore so many lives away. If your bet to get me on your side was some offering of medics then I’m sad to say. Unless they can erase time then well, they won't be much help mending the world."
Plato paused as he listened to what he had to say about walker. It seemed they had some blood but of course he knew otherwise that Walker was namakians. If he was well he'd of known he looked nothing like one Xylo and he at most only had the same aura that would make one thing of a godly being. Too bad both played the side of the devil. He nodded at Xylo, "Yes well since your kin I’m sorry for your loss on the other hand I’m glad he died in a sense on the one hand I hated him on the other if he was fighting for you and against the sse which I suppose is what occurred his death is a huge blow to your strength. Then again his death might be the only reason I can sit at this table and talk about making this alliance. If he was alive there be no go of course, I don't side with people with cross both sides." Plato shoulder sagged a little as he took a more relaxed Posture. It was a lot off his mind to know Walker had died just like he did. It was funny how such a hypocrite died trying to overthrow an empire to only give rise to a new one. Walker must have been rolling in his grave and realized his grave mistake. Plato sure had as now there were 2 empires that he had to deal with, one that had led to the death on this world and another that threatened more death. He spoke saying the Aroscian Empire had powerful forces but no names were labelled. Plato assumed it meant the emperor was trying to bluff. If he had some warriors that could tangle with super saiyan why come here and deal with Alistair and himself. He hated Alistair he could have just invaded the world. He himself didn't hate Xylo but their relationship didn't pan out to be something he'd assume be worth for the emperor to "Waste" his time on Konats. No, Xylo valued strength and in fact he needed it. If Xylo was so powerful he'd of been able to take konats and force Plato into dealing with the emperor. Xylo was powerful and the demon he had from hell more so but if he that was all he had then he could not beat the SSE or earth. It made it all the more worse that they were allies.
Xylo asked for Plato to make his choice. The King closed his eyes pondering the choice. Alistair was talking in his head but Plato just ignored him. If he looked so weak in front of Xylo being a pawn to Alistair he'd get no respect from the lord. He was a king now and not a puppet of Alistair. Of course he liked Alistair council but now was not the time. The King did however heard Alistair talk about this power boost sharing his memories. The King keep it in the back of his mind. He needed more power in case the day came but he'd have to focus on the was here and now not in the future. Plato nodded to Xylo, "Bing Gan cyborg of Earth, Vipoi Lord of Earth Zucceta Former queen of the Saiyans, Etoru the upcoming warrior, Hanbana the new queen, Shembha the new commander of the sse, Cipher the Android peacekeeper, Celmaru Waterfield of Earth and ally of Ayuma, Ayuma the old hermit of earth." Plato paused to take in a deep breath.
"All powerful warriors that will be in your path to conquest. They will not bend to you and i shall not either. You want me a servant to you but i stand here as King of Konats and i will not bend to your demands that i must join you. However, we have a common foe that is where i propose to you a refined deal. I will not become one of your men or grunts but i will forge a defensive pact with the Empire of Mazoku in order to defend against a common foe or ours. The SSE had been allowed to run rampant in all three of our domains. Aroscian Konstian and Namakian have suffered greatly because they been allowed to run and do as they please. I am not happy with earth either as they let them get away as if they don't have a heart in them for others that suffer. I know they must look out for themselves first but still they have become accomplices in the crime. I will not serve you as a solider and throw my people's life away unless you can prove to me you, Lord Xylo have the allies and forces to stand a chance but need the push to catapult you to victory. I would accept if that was the case but I’ve seen the SSE and I’ve known people from earth. They are powerful and all this aroscian you claim can defeat super Saiyans i doubt they exist. If they exist tell me who they are so i can get in contact with the Aroscian Empire and talk with them. Those are my terms as of now a defensive pact against the sse, until you have brought something of more substance to prove you with the help of the Konstian's can defeat the sse i will not send my people to be slaughtered because you fancy yourself as the next big time emperor of the universe." Plato sounded and looked as calm as ever as he lifted his mask off his scar's being revealed to the emperor. The Grey cracked scales and the skin that seemed to be burnt. He lifted the mask dropping it to the ground. It was so he could breathe if Xylo wanted to turn things violent he didn't want to spend time taking off all his gear. "Now you've made your terms and I’ve made mine but based on what you may also have to offer these terms can change I am not an unreasonable man."
Xylo narrowed his eyes, nodding cautiously at Plato's terms. It was better than nothing, he supposed.
"Understandable. I would be just as cautious as you if our situations were reversed."
The Mazoku Lord paused for a moment, before outstretching a hand for Plato to shake. Should the King of Konats respond in kind, Xylo would smile warmly. "For now, we will forge a fledgling alliance. In time, I will prove to you just how strong my men really are. Maybe then we can turn this pact into something larger." With the deal presumably sealed, Xylo bowed to Plato, and turned to take his leave. There were many things to prepare for, after all.
Just as he began walking away, however, he stopped. He turned back to Plato, sending him a telepathic message as a parting gift.
"Oh, and one word of advice... I'd be wary of Alaistair's words. He's not exactly mentally stable. He tried to kill a defenseless child on Namek. Do with that information what you will."
He gave one last wave, and turned the corner to head back towards his ship.
To Alaistair's surprise, Xylo agreed to Plato's terms, holding out his hand. He sucked his lips in, nodding and putting his hands behind him. After their handshake, Xylo started to walk away, looking back to them and waved, before heading to his ship and flew off. Alaistair clicked his tongue as he opened his mouth, his tone being surprised as he spoke.
"Well then.... That was unexpected," he stated, bringing a hand up and stroking his beard, "Here I was thinking he was going to flip out at how he were being so stingy with the terms... Perhaps something happened that snapped him straight enough to make him that way?"
Alaistair turned to Plato to ask, "Any idea on how our Kabochan friend is doing, by the way?"
(Plato. Lord Xylo do you mind if Plato and I post one more round before ending? It'll be quick, promise!)
I will return... And when I do, Life will prosper in the universe... UNDER MY IRON FIST!
Plato held in his breath to see what would Xylo would say. The Lord was powerful he didn't want to make fa foe of him just yet. If they were going to fight it'd be on his terms not on the terms of Xylo. This whoever was not the case as Xylo seemed content at least for the time being with the alliance? Plato stepped up as Xylo held his arm shaking his hand, "I'm glad we'd come to this alliance now if the SSE shall threatened us we will not be defenseless." Plato said calmly as he knew that for now it was good Xylo and he were not at each other’s throat. He nodded to Xylo, "I cannot wait to see all these warriors and when the time comes when and if we have to fight we will fight we will not allow an empire which has been forged on the blood of both our races to take us over or attempt to never again." Plato raised his hand to the sky after pulling his hand back as he heard Xylo telepathic message loud and clear. He should not trust Alistair. He didn't say anything back only for the reason that he had already made that conclusion. Alistair was his adviser but he still had to make his choice he didn't need to become a puppet like the kashvarr made the old king of Breech's Puppet king.
Plato turned to Alistair, "Alistair i don't mean to brag but i knew he needed us. If he wanted us both dead we'd not be talking right now the fact of the matter is he needs all the fighters he can muster." He said telepathically knowing that Namakians had good hearing from the sagi shi and Xylo tournament battle. If he spoke Xylo would hear and he didn't need to tick the lord off. Plato paused as he asked about the Kabochan, "We talked about her pass she has beef with the SSE Empire I’m thinking if we see her again I’d enjoy to train her she remands me of myself someone who was banished by their people for fighting for a cause they knew was just." Plato pulled his arms behind her back, "However since we talked i have not seen her she problem training somewhere or enjoying her escape or maybe she getting ready to make sure to be away from the SSE that what i got out of it." Plato moved back heading towards the council Chamber, "I'm heading to meet with the Council i will brief you when we are done you should head to the loft I’m sure the people would like to know what happened here it not every day a namakians lord come to our doorstep." He headed back to the Council content to let them know what their dealings had been.
