The Arcosian Empire A Hidden Victory
Part 1:
Part 1:
The day was as casual as it was dull. The Arcosian Empire was rebuilding itself from the ground up, at quite a remarkable rate. But that wasn't something Glaze felt necessary to get himself involve in, so he kept moving along. Preferring to be solitary for the time being, he continued walking across the dusted walkway leading into the capital alone. Upon entering there wasn't much going on, people going about their daily duties in hopes they were playing a part of something bigger. Lowly dreams to distract the mind, or so he thought. As he continued walking through he would look over every now and then to see the passing children and even soldiers of the Arcosian Empire. Turning into a side ally, closely confined between two buildings, but it was just enough space for him to walk through without much effort.
Upon there he walked to the center and rested his back against the wall. Eyes closed and head tilted down. He rested beside against a large enough hole where if one would take the time to look through, they would be able to see the insides of the Arcosian Empire's Meeting room. Convenient? Doubt it, after several walks throughout the confines he was able to pinpoint the perfect spot to ease drop. He wouldn't call it ease dropping, but it was a perfect way for him to help within the shadows. It was, his role to play involving rebuilding the Arcosian Empire, whether they knew it or not.
It was a well-thought setup, the black attire helps him blend in the shadows to dodge the glances of passersby, and enough room in the alley to motion through. It was without a doubt, perfect. Patience was one thing necessary for operations such as this to work, and so he waited..and waited..and waited. Until the meeting that was scheduled for that time slowly came to an end, and two workers remained behind. This was the conversation he was looking for. Every other meeting a couple of individuals would stay behind and talk through private matters. The loud sounds of clicking on a computer not too far off, but it didn't drown out the ongoing conversation. Wintry:What's it this time?" Gorgon: "Same thing as every week, I've done several inventory checks and the numbers don't add up. I made sure to mark the exact numbers this time .right..upon..shipment, and you know I'm good with numbers. Something's not adding up, another weird thing. It's the same supplies missing, but not enough for it to be noticeable to the untrained eye. But it's a good thing I'm here. "
He finished typing on the computer before turning around. Wintry:" So what's missing?". Gorgon"Nothing major just some scouters, guns, and medicine. But only a small amount, however at the rate this is going it could easily become a large issue." He sighed, and the sounds of a chair being pushed underneath a table showed that this conversation was now coming to an end. Gorgon "I'm not sure what to do, or whether it's worth reporting. Let's just hope that it stops soon, or by some miracle, we get the supplies that were taken."
He turned and looked towards Wintry: "Are you sure it's stolen, maybe it's just lost goods." You could hear the laughter of someone who heard a ridiculous answer. Gorgon: "You think a constant amount of supplies missing weekly could be an accident? No, someone's stealing, and when I find out who. They will be dealt with." They turned and the silence was soon followed by the slamming of the twin doors.
Glaze slowly opened his eyes and looked up. "Stolen goods, it could be a result of not locking the doors behind them for starters. Something worth looking into." He thought to himself while still covered by the shadows he slowly waited for dusk to fall, and when that moment came h began to ascend to the top of the building across the street. Resting up against a platform as he sat, and waited. "We will see what this is all about."
As night began to fall Glaze began to ascend once more, flying high in the cover of the night. Landing on a thin edge, across the street from the supply shelter. "It looks secure." He thought to himself, but there was only one way to know for sure, waiting once more. Upon the pitch black of the night, Glaze began to sense two approaching figures with several arms beginning to creep in front of the door. Wearing dark cloaks similar to Glaze, a smart tactic.
It was hard to see to a defined point, but what they were doing was obvious. As they were focused on the lock of the door, Glaze slowly began to fly over to land on the roof. The night sky eliminating any chance for a passing shadow to give away his position. Cadian:" Hurry up..the longer you take, the quicker it is for us to get exposed." Moginian: "Shut it, if you think it's so easy how about you come and do it?" Using his long nail to pick the lock, they both smiled as a click was heard, and the door slowly opened. Moginian and Cadian spoke simutanoiusly: "Yes.." In a hushed tone.
They slowly opened it further and crept in. "You would think they would have a security system or something.." Glaze through to himself, as he continued to watch and play the passive role. A few moments came before the two reappeared with several crates. Moginian "Before we go, let's see if one of these things work." He stabbed into the crate and pulled out a loan scouter and pressed it lightly against his face. Cadian"Careful, don't break it." Moginian: "Shut it, I've done this before.-" He pressed lightly on the side as his eyes widened, the scouter instantly began to pick up on Glaze's power level, and the creature quickly turned up towards the sky, but to his relief, no one was there. Moginian "This stupid thing must be busted, just our luck we must've grabbed a defective set and you know what that means. " Cadian "Yeah." He sighed "We will have to check the whole case when we get back. "
They both began to grab on the cases and quickly passed into the thick underbrush. With Glaze flying high overhead, at this point, he didn't need to see them. Sensing them was more than enough to track em, and so he continued through the night. He was going to find the reason behind this immediately.
