Both kids screamed at the same time, before charging forward. Her gaze shifted between both targets as they sprinted forward. Both leaped forward, swinging their staffs downward. She angled both of her blades to deflect the staffs to either side. The huge metal poles slammed into the earth on either side of Tulip, as both Tomoyos spun in the air and landed facing her. The two were in sync, yanking their poles out and stabbing both inwards. The woman spun her swords inwards, parrying both poles with the pommels of her swords. Both stepped past the woman as her eyes widened in appreciation of their strength. If Tomoyo masters this, he would be unstoppable! Her momentary lapse in thought cost the woman, as the Tomoyo behind her spun his entire body around as he dropped into a crouch. His staff slammed into her thigh, sending a resounding pain through her body. Her ability to move was stopped, as the woman’s gaze shot towards the other boy. He was already in the air, bringing his staff down to smash into the woman’s head. Crossing her swords, she held them aloft to block the incoming strike. When his staff slammed into hers and sent up a crescendo of sparks, the young boy startled her again. Thrusting both of his feet outward, Tomoyo planted them firmly in the pits of her elbows. Thrusting his legs outwards, he broke the woman’s guard as he raised his staff again. Jumping as her swords came apart, he brought the staff down with a resounding crack. Tulip’s head snapped down as both boys spun away and raised their staffs. A trail of blood ran down the woman’s face, as her gaze remained on the ground. Running her tongue through the blood that ran over her lip, the woman smirked softly. “I think I underestimated the power of two of you; one was full of openings and attacked without abandon. But, adding a second you to the mix made your openings vanish. Your all-out attacks compliment one another, ensuring the other has a guard in the form of an attack that has to be blocked. But if I push the guard of both at the same time...would that be enough to throw off your individual strengths?” As the last word left the woman’s lips, she opened her hands. Both swords fell into the air, as her arms shot downwards to either side. Two knives formed and flew from her grasp, bouncing off the ground and arcing upwards towards the center of the staffs both boys held. Catching her individual swords, the woman slammed both together and surged her ki through the spiritual blade. Silver energy surged through the weapon she grasped with both hands, causing the blade to extend to over 20 meters in the air. Adjusting the grip she had so the blade was over her shoulder, the woman took one step towards the nearest Tomoyo. Her silver ki crackled through the air around the woman as her feet broke the ground and she thrust both arms up. “You’ll want to block this, Kiddo One; otherwise this is going to hurt a lot” As the words left her lips, the woman swung the blade downwards, splitting the earth in front of her and beyond, gash shooting forwards from the wind pressure as the blade descended towards the kiddo.

They... They were actually doing this! Neither Tomoyo could hardly believe but they were actually proving capable of keeping up with Tulip-no, better than that; they actually had her on the defensive! It was almost too good to be true but as their all-out offensives spurred on in tandem, the elder hybrid could do nothing but defend against one of them while the other closed in for continual attacks. Flipping away after a successful dual combo, the two half-humans gasped in shock, momentarily trying to catch their breath between glances at Tulip... and exchanging triumphant grins between each other.
"We...I..." Tomoyo A started, wiping a bead of sweat from his forehead while looking at his clone. B only nodded in response, easily getting what he was trying to say though; after all, they were the same person.
I think I underestimated the power of two of you; one was full of openings and attacked without abandon. But, adding a second you to the mix made your openings vanish.
At this comment, Tomo couldn't help but grin at Tulip; and who could blame him!? He was actually keeping up with TULIP! Back when he was alive, the child's miserable power level would have barely been enough to take on her pinky finger... and now he was actually pushing her back! "Heh... Thanks Tuli!" The boys both chirped identically, equally pleased they had gained recognition from her... but did this mean that they were done? Was she really not going to eat the-
But if I push the guard of both at the same time...would that be enough to throw off your individual strengths?
"...huh?" Both Tomos reeled in surprise, barely able to even throw back up their guard as the two watched the warrior drop her blades only to call upon small knife versions in the blink of an eye! Her aim striking true, soon both staffs were cleanly knocked out of both Tomoyo's grasps, the energy weapons clattering uselessly to the ground behind them. "Wha-?!!?" Taking a step back in shock, the appalled hybrids could only watch in horror as Tulip's twin blades merged... only to grow into a monstrosity of a blade of epic proportions! "Is she gonna cut us up with that?!" Tomoyo A screamed in horror, watching the blade coming crashing down on the two of them.
As their clothes rippled from the vortex wind pressure of the humongous blade ripping down onto their heads, Tomoyo B clenched his fist. No... they couldn't let it end like this. Not after coming so far, making so much progress! Patting his doppelganger's arm to stir him from his panic... the two nodded at each other, silently exchanging looks of understanding...
...before they both leaped up into the air, directly at the sword.
"Huaaaaaaaaaaaaa..." the inspired adolescents screamed in unison, both gripping their hands on opposite sides, their arms glowing with a tremendous power as scarlet ki seemed to practically engulf their bodies in a glow. It would take all of their power, even dangerously dispersed over their beings like this... but they could pull through. No, they would pull through. "Raging-" Tomoyo A started, his fist shaking as the power began to condense within it. "Fiiiist-" B announced in continuation, pulling his arm back while the two fast approached the falling blade of mass destruction; if this didn't work, they might actually die...
Both members of the duo threw their fists foreward in unison; assaulting Tulip's own attack head on in perfect unison with all of their might! "OVERDRIIIIIIIIIVE!"
Tomoyo A and Tomoyo B both used [MP3]Raging Fist Overdrive, combining with intent to shatter Tulip's Silver Ki Sword.

As her blade cut through the air, the young woman couldn’t slow her powerful slash; it was now or never for the young boy. A shadow shot in from the side, as the far Tomoyo slid to a stop next to the other. Her slash slowed, as her heart wavered for an instant. An unspoken message traveled between the two, as they shared a nod. A smirk crossed both’s faces, before they launched themselves into the air towards the swordswoman. Her eyes widened in shock and awe. “Huaaaaaaa~!” Both boys shouted as they drew their fists in on either side; her sword was still cutting forward, as the woman felt her transformation shift back into her former, repressed state. She didn’t bother reactivating it, as the boys combined determination washed over her. She had been wrong; the boy didn’t lack confidence or courage. All he’d needed was the right push! Come on, kiddo! Show me the strongest you have! Her emerald gaze fell on both boys, as their voices fell into a chorus, as red ki surged around their small form. “Raging!” The first boy spoke, as his fist began crackling red, while the second boy’s fist followed suit. Both boys fists and arms exploded into red energy, as the second boy shouted. “FIST!” As her sword almost slammed into the two, their fists shot upwards and slammed into her blade. Red energy shot throughout the blade, as her silver ki fought to maintain its form against the powerful onslaught. Both boys gritted their teeth and shouted together. “OVERDRIVE!” As their shouts reached the woman, her blade visibly cracked. It exploded into nothing, as both boys shot forward. Their fists slammed into her stomach, sending her flying backwards. She realized where she was headed, and corrected her path halfway. Landing on her feet, she slid across the surface of the bloody pond. If the boys looked, they would see she was standing on hardened ki that rested on the surface of the water. She rubbed her stomach gingerly, wincing at the bruise already forming. Sighing loudly, the woman shouted towards the boys. “You two win! At least, if you want to continue fighting at this level. I could lift my limiter and beat you that way...but it feels like that would be extremely cheap. So, pat yourself on the back, Tomoyo. You’ve gotten a lot stronger since the day we first met.” Walking towards the edge of the pond, the woman hopped onto dry ground, before grinning at the kid. Her words and smile were sincere, as she waited for his response.

The twin Tomos soared past the shattered blades, themselves astonished at just how much they had accomplished with their strongest attack! Re-positioning themselves as Tulip lay directly in their path, the two's fists momentarily converged into one ki charged form, both hybrids colliding into the elder's gut before launching Tulip in the other direction with their combined might! "HAAAAH!" Both children releasing a mighty shout from the throats on impact spun through the air, barely managing to stick the landing at all before falling into a heap.
Sitting up, the half-human duplicates looked on to see Tulip standing on the bloody waters, which in and of itself was pretty cool; but perhaps the coolest thing was where she was rubbing her now tender stomach, a visible mark and bruise having formed. Concrete proof that they did something... concrete proof that he did something! "...woah..." Tomoyo A gasped in awe, briefly staring down at his arm still faintly scarlet as the powerful ki's glow slowly faded away. "Uhuh..." B agreed, just as mesmerized, if not more. Scrambling to his feet while the multiformed double followed suit, the two boys hesitantly walked over to their friend as she exited the pond, safely landing onto solid ground.
You two win! At least, if you want to continue fighting at this level.
"...I...win...??" Both Tomos repeated in unison, equally in disbelief. They actually beat Tulip... and won?! Just this accomplishment alone sounded impossible... but then again, Tomo couldn't even remember the last person he had ever fought and won against! Ever since he could remember he had always been weaker than everybody, never living up to people's expectations: his mom's, Tulip's, Levlidian's, Tekuma's; to everyone he had ever known, he was always weak in their eyes from his perspective, even when some didn't say it as loudly as others... or even at all. Staring down at their hands, the children clenched and loosened their hands several times, still trying to process what this development even meant.
So, pat yourself on the back, Tomoyo. You’ve gotten a lot stronger since the day we first met.
You’ve gotten a lot stronger since the day we first met.
a lot stronger
"TULI!" Tomoyo screamed in one voice, the boys breaking out in a sprint to meet their elder head on as she walked their way. Leaping into the air, the twin hybrids each threw their arms around her waist, digging their faces into her as tears began streaming down them, burning his face. For the first time since as far as he could remember, the weak-hearted child cried. "...thank you..." He cried out of sadness, joy, relief, and many more emotions even his immature mind couldn't process or even comprehend.
"Thank you."

The woman’s eyes widened in shock when the kids shouted her name and sprinted forward. Both jumped onto the woman, who stumbled a few steps back under their combined weight. The two boys were crying as they buried their faces into her shoulders. One of the boys, the one Tulip figured was the original, cried and whispered softly in an emotional voice. “...thank you. Thank you.” The woman sighed and ruffled both of their hairs. Then catching both heads firmly in her palms, the older hybrid sighed and spoke. “I’m glad you’re so happy about that compliment. That’ll make what comes next a little easier to stomach.” Before the kids could question her motion, the woman’s ki raged to life. Ascending beyond what it had been over the pond, the woman’s hair shifted colors. She gritted her teeth, forcing her energy to reach the level it had been when she’d faced Kizuki. Both of her hands were coated in golden energy, as she slammed both boys together with all of her SSJ-might. The ground cracked at her feet and shot outwards in a crater from the force of the impact. The pond rippled outwards from the force of the impact, as the woman looked at the result of her work. She trusted in the effects of hell; if this didn’t put him back to normal, she’d apologize later. “So...how do you feel, kiddo?” Tulip’s hair shifted back to normal as she spoke to the kid again.

This was the happiest that Tomoyo had ever been in what felt like, and could possibly have been, an eternity. As both of the boys embraced Tulip on either side, it felt like for the first time in a long time hope existed, that there was some way to continue on... that this dreamless oblivion, this literal hell he had been trapped in for so long could be conquered and escaped. Tomo was actually progressing, it was slow... but it was definitely sure if this battle had meant anything. It would take a while... but surely the time would come when he could finally escape, go back to life... live the life that he had lost so long ago.
I’m glad you’re so happy about that compliment. That’ll make what comes next a little easier to stomach.
Wiping the tears from their eyes, both hybrid children lifted their heads to gaze at Tulip in confusion. "H-Huh?" Tomoyo A murmured, his brows still furrowed in confusion. "What comes... next?" Suddenly though, before either of the children could get out another word, they both felt an undeniably powerful grip grasp their skulls from behind. Completely immobilized and helpless, the split child could only watch in disoriented horror as Tulip practically exploded in front of them, her hair blazing like a golden fire, Tomo's senses momentarily being overwhelmed completely by the sudden tidal wave of power that cascaded over his weaker form.
"W-Wha-TUHIEIIIIIIIII-" Letting out a blood curdling scream of pain, Tomoyo felt like he was going to die 20 times over as both of his forms were forcibly smashed into one another. The movement was so simultaneous that it'd be practically impossible to check which, but one of those Tomoyo's broke completely, his form dissipating in a blinding flash of light as the composited energy finally returned... leaving lying on the ground an unconscious, but now whole half Human, half Saiyan child.
Tulip had somehow managed to make Tomoyo whole again. First in spirit, then in mind, and now in body.

The woman ignored his cry of shock, as her palms brought them together. She could sense his energy spike, fluctuate, then flow together in a flash as one of the Tomoyo’s vanished in an explosion of ki shards. The woman’s eyes widened, as she realized the construct was designed the same way her blades was. Questions started running through the woman’s mind; given enough time and preparation, could she create a blade or blades that had the ability to exist on their own through a portion of her ki? The question vanished as the young woman realized her tiny companion was passed out on the ground at her feet.
“Dammit, kiddo. You make me look like a villain.” Kneeling next to him, the woman pulled the kid up into a seated position and tucked his head between his knees. A position that would hopefully bring him back from unconsciousness soon. A much quicker solution would be tossing the kid in the pond, but the two had their equal share of mental traumas in regards to the red water. After ensuring the boy would stay in his place, the young woman sat across from him, tucking her chin onto her knee. A small smirk crossed the woman’s face, as she silently awaited the boy’s reawakening.

When the child was finally coming to, the first sensation that returned to Tomoyo was a brilliant and unending pain resounding throughout his body. It was as if everything in his entire being had been somehow destroyed and reformed, leaving a ghost of the hurt he had experienced before. Groaning as he started to stirr from his rather abrupt unconsciousness, Tomoyo slowly lifted his head back up from his knees. "Uuhhnn..." The child's eyes slowly cracked open bit by bit, scanning left and right sluggishly while his blurred sight began the steady process of focusing.
As his eyes began to readjust, his energy settling back into the sensation of existing within one host, Tomoyo sat up a little straighter finally letting his gaze rest on Tulip's smirking expression. "T-Tuli?" The still weakened hybrid murmured, nonplussed over the situation as a whole. "...What happened?" The last thing he could remember was.... fighting Tulip? "Ugh... My head hurts!" Tomoyo clutched his head in disoriented haste, this feeling completely new to the deceased child. It felt like he was remembering the same thing, but from two different places at the same time; almost like having a memory in stereo and his head didn't know which one to latch onto as the memory. Apparently, he had gained the memory and experiences that both multiform copies had recorded; it was a wonder his head wasn't tearing itself in two trying to get used to it!
...Well, it certainly felt like that to Tomo for a moment, irregardless though he would recover fairly soon as the pain eventually subsided. This was certainly a situation that was going to take some time getting used to... it is a good thing that down in H.F.I.L, the hybrid child had absolutely nothing BUT time!
Pulling his legs up to his chest as he corrected his posture, the half human offered up the elder hybrid a smile to assure her that she was alright; though his body was still a little bit sore. "Heh... It's like I have two heads instead of one, and my head doesn't know which one to use." Letting loose a soft chuckle, despite his battered state, the sight of such lighthearted behavior from the boy was certainly a change for the better. Whether this change persisted remained to be seen, though.

The young woman sighed as the kid began stirring from his unconscious slumber. The kid sat up and groaned under his breath. She could sense his energy stabilizing, before the kid sat up and looked at her. He muttered her name, to which the woman nodded. When he complained about his head hurting, the woman’s gaze fell and she smiled sheepishly.
Totally not my fault; you should’ve known how to disable the multiform technique before you used it, kiddo. She looked back towards the kid, waiting to see if he composed himself better. The boy seemed confused, until he flashed her a brief smile and spoke. “Heh...it’s like I have two heads instead of one, and my head doesn’t know which one to use.” “That’s good. Not that you have the head issues, but that you’re brightening up.” The older hybrid grinned at the kid, before rising to her feet. Dusting off her pants, the woman strolled over to Tomoyo. Thrusting one hand out, the woman smiled and muttered. “So...what should we do now? I have a group of friends that are doubtless searching for me. I’ve been gone for a while. You’re gonna break out of this hell soon, right?”

Watching Tulip grin only served to bring out a matching expression from Tomoyo, her aura of silent approval contagious to the younger hybrid. He continued watching her as she got up and back onto her feet, all the while Tomo patiently gazed upon the girl, still finding enjoyment with basking in his accomplishments' glory. As her hand thrust out to him, the exuberant child reached out in earnest; grasping onto her hand with both of his own, the hybrid child hoisted himself back up to his feet before listening intently to what his elder had been uttering.
I have a group of friends that are doubtless searching for me. I’ve been gone for a while.
As he finally steadied himself on his lovable new legs, Tomoyo's peppy mood started to diminish a bit hearing the older woman. Even down here... Tulip still had friends. Meanwhile for Tomo, this whole afterlife had been nothing but solitude and misery. "..." Furrowing his brow in remembered depression, the child sighed. "I wonder if anybody searched for me...." Tomoyo questioned within the confines of his mind, still unsure despite the lengthy amount of time that the child had been stranded within the afterlife. He had been gone so long... maybe they had all forgotten about him? Levlidian, Presto, Tekuma, Hinawa... or maybe he had never been important enough to be remembered?! As far as he could tell, if Tomo's death and Tekuma's abandoning him had taught the child anything, it was that he didn't really have any friends... not really. People had only tolerated him... until they just didn't want to anymore and either left him or disposed of him.
Shuddering, even faintly recollecting how brutally the woman he had trusted with his life betrayed him so long ago, Tomoyo looked back up at Tulip wondering along similar lines. Just how long will it be until she'd do the same; until she'd leave him too?
...or worse.
Shaking his head, trying to rid himself of the depressing train of thought, the half human put on a brave face to try and repress the recollections... at least for now. The more pressing matter for now though resided in Tulip's other comment, this time an actual question addressed at Tomo that the boy had struggled with for some time now.
You’re gonna break out of this hell soon, right?
Shuffling awkwardly, Tomoyo clung onto Tulip's hand as if trying to alert the woman as to how stumped he was in this subject. "I... I don't know how... Everyone keeps telling me I can't and..." Tomoyo murmured, his smile fastly fading once more as the desolation began to set in once again. "I-I... I just wanna go home, Tuli!" Tears began to pool back up in the corners of Tomoyo's widened eyes, serving as a reminder that despite his increase in power, Tomo was still at heart a child. A child stuck in hell, but a child no less... and a child that just wanted to be with his friends, his family, his home.

Tulip let the tiny kid use her hand to pull himself up, before waiting for his response to her question. She saw a plethora of emotions crush the boy’s face, as his gaze fell. She thought back on his reaction to her appearance and his words. This boy...had doubtless been alone, a wandering spirit for far longer than any child should’ve been. She saw Hell as a way to get stronger, explore herself, and find out more about the past she’d only heard rumors of. She saw him shiver, before those weak, brown eyes rose to meet her emerald ones. He started to shake his head, grip tightening around her hand. She let her hand tighten firmly around his, not wanting to let him go in his moment of weakness.
The boy finally spoke, shuffling forward towards the woman. His words filled the woman’s heart with emotion, as he finally confided his fears to the older hybrid. He’d been told this was the end of the road; Death was the final destination, from which there was no escape. The young woman knelt in front of the kid, before grasping him firmly in a warm embrace. She wrapped her arms around his small form, pulling him in tight against her chest. The young woman wanted the boy to feel safe, even for a small moment.
After a long pause, the young woman pulled away from the small boy. Reaching into her back pocket, she drew out a small necklace. On it was a menacing black key, which radiated with a dark aura. She took the opening and looped it over the boy’s neck. Tucking the key into his shirt, she placed her palms against his chest and grinned at him.
“There’s a way out of this place, kiddo. All you need to do is take that key to a young witch living on the edge of Hell. She can open a gate to the world of the living for a small price of shoki and that key. Don’t worry about me, though.” Tulip rose to her feet, ruffling the hair on the kid’s head. She pulled another bag from a different pocket, containing a strange coin. She set it in his hand, before turning away. She began walking, before thrusting her hand east from the Blood Pond. “If you go that way, you’ll find the hut you need. I’ll see you in the land of the living, Tomoyo. You’ll make it; after all, you beat me in a fight, right!”
Looking over her shoulder, Tulip flashed the kid a grin, before taking off in the opposite direction. Emily would be mildly upset, considering she’d given Tulip the name and location of the witch that was supposed to save the woman. Tulip had gained the key herself, battling a powerful demon further down in Hell. A small slip-up; she’d be headed out of this place in no time.
