[ Thread PL: 1200] [ Heavy Weights Active] [ Weighted PL: 300]
Castle Mazoku; the newest structure upon Namek's landscape was a frightfully ominous building compared to the regular architecture of the planet. It demanded attention and respect from any and all that laid eyes upon it. Of those that wandered its many halls, there was a myriad of warriors and mercenaries hired by Xylo not to mention the Mazoku clansmen that swore loyalty to the newly crowned Lord Of Namek. The hired help was simply happy to have an organized excuse to fight and direction for their talents. With the new order created on this world, the Mazoku were just happy in general. All but one, that is. One of Xylo's precious children; Sax had simply locked themselves in their designated quarters ever since the recent attack on Moori capital. They tried not to think about where they were exactly or why the palace itelf existed and more about the safe space that they had created in this room. What Sax needed was an escape; and it would've been easy to cope with the whole ordeal.... Had they not lost the drive to play music in the process because of it. Little Viola, the tiny Dragon Caste Namekian that Sax had adopted was snoozing peacefully in a super sick race-car bed in one corner of the room. Sax on the other hand sat lazily on a beanbag, completely lacking any and all energy to do anything. Their pointed scouter-glasses sat on the carved wooden desk in the opposite corner of the room. Their prized instrument; their most treasured possession and effective namesake had been stored away tightly in a carrying case, and hidden under the desk. Anyone that had tried to get into this room was greeted either by silence or a loud 'FUCK OFF' depending on how annoying or persistent they were. Now, it was becoming a problem. Some of the Mazoku Dominion warriors became increasingly annoyed and were unsure of how to talk to Xylo about it. Several of them loitered outside his throne-room, discussing their plan of action. "Okay, so who's gonna go in?" A lanky purple haired Kabochan asked his comrades. There was no response. "What, do we have to draw straws?" Silence. "Tch, fine. I'll go in. You bozos are wimps."The Kabochan rolled his eyes as he slowly entered Xylo's throne room. Provided he was indeed here, the Kabochan would salute and kneel, waiting to be addressed. Lord Xylo help your dang kid u goober.

While the group of mercenaries took their sweet time deciding who would break the news to their boss, the leader in question had already made his move. Xylo had been sitting outside Sax's window for about an hour now, simply floating. He wasn't sure what to say to him just yet. "Sorry I took over the planet" wasn't exactly going to cut it.
After a particularly deep breath, he decided to just go for it. He turned to the window, and with closed eyes, he knocked on the glass.
"Hey. Sax? You okay in there? Do you want to um... Talk?"
He sighed again. This felt ridiculous! He could conquer worlds and stare death in the face, but he was nervous about talking to his own son?! He felt like a child again, and not in a good way.

After searching the throne room for their leader; the Kabochan groaned as he exited back out into the corridor. He stood there; hands on his hips as his compatriots nervously looked to him for an answer, and no answer came. At least; nothing verbal. The purple-haired Kabochan simply put two of the others in a headlock and bonked them together. This effectively notified the others that it was a waste of time and to actually decide on something as a group instead of just making him do all the heavy lifting. "I'm gonna get a drink. You lot ain't invited." Thus, he wandered off to the cafeteria, leaving his awestruck group in the dust. 'Maybe sis will go talk to that kid later, they got along a while back..'
Meanwhile, Sax looked around their room lazily, their antennae twitched and they almost jumped at the noise that came from their window. Giving a short glance to their father, they slowly got up out of the beanbag and shuffled over to the window; gently shoving it open. All the while, avoiding eye contact. After a moment, they spoke softly. "... You gonna come in or what?" Evidently speaking was taking more effort than usual.

A chill ran down Xylo's spine as the window opened. He honestly expected to be shunned, so the opposite occurring was more than startling. His ears twitched lightly at the hushed tones of Sax's voice. With a quick motion, the Mazoku Lord comically stuffed himself through the window, falling on his face as he squeezed through the slot. With a fake cough, Xylo stood up, dusting himself off as moved away from the window.
"uh... Hello."
Looking around the spacious room, Xylo was a bit surprised. Sax had decorated in a way that felt very much like... Sax. A trio of Beanbags sat messily in one corner of the room, while another sat right in front of a desk on the far wall which featured a lineup of Lava Lamps; one from each region of Earth, it seemed. A very long bed sat on the wall opposite the desk. It was decorated to look like a car of some sort, and a very small Namekian was dozing off inside it. "... I like it. Reminds me of you."
There was an awkward silence for a moment. The bubbling goo inside the lamps provided some small comforting sounds, but Xylo needed to break the silence quickly.
"...Look, I know you don't approve of the way I handled things, but can you try to see it from my angle? These people-- the Saiyan General and his lackeys-- they hurt our world. I had to take over because if I didn't then the Saiyans would just push everyone around, and even if I don't particularly like the Dragon Caste or Warrior Caste, I wasn't going to let our entire race be subjugated like that."
He paused for a second, letting out an awkward sigh as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I know it doesn't seem like I have the most noble interests in mind, but I'm dealing with a threat in one of the only ways that seem to work. Our people tried peace for so long, and look where it got us. We needed to fight back at some point, didn't we?"

Sax stared out of the window to the world below; watching the scarce few people go about their business as their father scrambled in through the small opening. They wouldn't move nor make a sound until Xylo made a more direct greeting, after which they would simply mumble out a dejected "Yeah. Hey." Sax the began shuffling back over to the trio of beanbags, getting comfortable once again.
It was strange to hear such a compliment about the design and layout of their room. Sax didn't think much of it; it had been roughly the same while they were cruising around with the Red Eclipse a while back. It was how all personal quarters were; how the apartments of Sax's Earth friends were-- albeit those were far messier than this, by miles. At least some of the items here reminded Sax of more simple and fun times. A time that this just wasn't.
Now, seeing things from Xylo's angle was admittedly something interesting. "... I tried. I really tried, okay?" Mayze going down was something Sax could understand. The fiery Saiyan woman Chire being pushed back, Sax could understand, but her death? No. The innocent bystanders that perished due to being in the wrong place at the wrong time, their deaths were wrong too. The one that stung Sax the most out of all of these perceived wrongdoings was the death of Riku. Though he was a Saiyan he took up the mantle of Warrior Clan leader when nobody else around had the guts or strength to; Sax heard naught but positive words of that man. "I just can't think of people as... Anything but themselves. Individuals. Y'know?" There was some form of reasoning behind this, as evident by Sax's contemplative expression while staring at the lava lamps. Perhaps they had trouble putting it into words?

A concerned frown came to rest on Xylo as his son spoke. It seemed this recent battle had really taken a toll on him. The fin-headed father paused for a moment, trying to find the right words. It took him a good while; perhaps longer than it should have.
"I'm not saying to think of them as less than people. Life is... Strange. The paths we take, and the choices we make can lead us to hard decisions. I won't lie to you; I'm glad Mayze is dead. The others I killed, though? I'm not sure what kind of people they were, or if they really deserved what they got, but I can't change what happened. If they're strong enough, they can find their way back to the realm of the living like I did. If not, then..."
Xylo paused again. He stared at the lamps just as Sax did. The Mazoku Lord seemed to have just as much trouble expressing certain things, if not more. Besides that, he wasn't exactly remorseful for those he did kill. Chire willingly walked into battle; surely she must have expected her end to come one day. Riku, however, he wasn't sure about. It wasn't like the guy was going to help Xylo, for one thing. If only Sax was less adverse to violence, then maybe this conversation wouldn't feel so awkward.
"...If it makes it any better, I made sure no civilians died. I also let those kids go-- the Super Saiyan boy and his pilot. I mean, I did scuff the Super Saiyan up fairly bad, but in my defense he was stronger than me." He let out an awkward chuckle, before falling silent again.
He stared at the lava lamps again, making a small quip during their awkward silence. "... What are these things made out of anyways? Reminds me of a planet I went to in my early years. It had lots of volcanoes. We should visit it some day."
Before the failing conversation could get any weirder, a Mazoku soldier burst into the room. Sweat dripped down his forehead, and his hand was gripping a stone tightly. "S-sire. I'm sorry to interrupt, but..." He turned the stone around, causing Xylo's brow-ridge to raise. A design was carved into the rock; it was a skull, and in the center of its forehead was the Kanji for 'demon'.
"...Which clan?"
"Murt, sire."
"Shit."
Xylo stood up, taking the stone from the soldier, before quickly dismissing him. "They're challenging us, Sax. I've got to go and handle it." He made his way towards the door, but stopped himself in the hallway. He turned back to Sax, a slight smile on his face. "Do you... Want to come along? I might need your help."

"Hmph. Sounds an awful lot like it does." Sax gruffly retorted, folding their arms while sinking further into the beanbags. On the topic of Mayze however, there was a brief flicker of a smile from the grumpy Namekian. "That minus got what it deserved." Sax was a lot more peaceful and considerate in many ways compared to their father. Were they any more forgiving though? No. Not in the slightest. It is entirely possible that Sax is far less forgiving.
All the same, Sax was thankful for Xylo having some sense of honor in letting youngsters go free... Maybe not unharmed, but still free.
Sax was about to answer Xylo's questions about the lava lamps before one of their allied Mazoku burst into the room. Sax immediately stood right up, fully ready to shriek at the dunderhead that barged in, yet quickly noticed their pained and uneasy expression. Swiftly whipping out an arm to grab their Scouter Shades from the other side of the room to hide their eyes.
The Murt Clan was seen as bad news to any other Mazoku that weren't of their ranks. The fact that the majority of the Murt Clan thought the total destruction of the Dragon Clan was okay made Sax's blood boil. The rest of them didn't truly think that way from what information Sax had gathered. Those unlucky few bent at the knee as per the whim of one of their leaders. In particular, Cassus; a grizzly and gnarled Namekian that served as the Murt Clan's brutal enforcer. Sax witnessed that monster kill Viola's real father moments before his hatching and subsequent adoption by Sax. The thought of Cassus was disgusting enough, what if he was here at the gate now?
Perhaps on instinct, Sax was already walking towards the front of the castle. "Well? No dawdling, dad. Lets hope they brought their all star line up." At that moment would be very clear to Xylo that at least one member of the Murt Clan had screwed up. Royally.

Xylo smiled happily at Sax. It seemed the boy had regained at least some of the pep in his step. The Mazoku Lord followed his son closely, the two of them making their way to the castle gates. The plan was to fly off to Murt's domain, but it seemed that wouldn't be necessary. As soon as they stepped outside, they were greeted by a dozen Namekians standing in their courtyard. They stared with stern looks, watching Xylo and Sax as the castle gates closed behind them. These were Murt's men for sure.
Before Xylo could speak, the crowd of opposing Mazoku parted, allowing an aged Namekian to walk forwards. His frame was massive; taller than even Sax, and much thicker too. He lurched towards the front of the crowd, his hood covering his wrinkles as best they could. He gave Xylo a respectful nod, before his ancient vocal cords began to work their magic.
"It's been a while, Lord Xylo. I never did thank you for saving my life."
"We can skip the pleasantries. Why is your clan challenging my claim?"
Murt sighed, turning to his Kin. It seemed it might not have been Murt's idea in the first place. "Well, it was not exactly my decision... I've been usurped, it seems. I'm merely here to announce your challenger." The ancient Mazoku lifted his hands, and in as grand a voice as he could muster, announced the new leader. "May I introduce the strongest of all Namekians: Cassus the Gnarled! May his fiery heart enlighten us all!"
An incredibly muscular Namekian pushed through the crowd, a cocky smirk on his scarred and ruined face. "I'll make this simple, so our great and powerful Lord can understand. We are Mazoku, so any of us can challenge you for your claim to the throne. I say that throne belongs to me. You can either get out of my way, or I can show you just how rightful of a leader I am."
Xylo stared, unimpressed. This guy was barely a match for Sax, let alone himself. He turned to his son, leaning over to whisper in his ear. "He knows he can just regenerate, right?" The Mazoku Lord cracked his knuckles, moving away from Sax as he posed a question. "How do you wanna deal with this one, kiddo? I'm feeling like a quick punt into space could do the trick."
Cassus laughed heartily, folding his arms across his chest as he boasted to his foes. "Bah! As if you could even land a hit on me! I'll rip your innards out and wear them as a crown, you overconfident shark!"
This guy was too big for his britches, it seemed. How he ever beat Murt was a mystery. Maybe the old guy let him win.

"Begin your thanks by stepping aside. Now." Sax growled angrily at the Mazoku Elder Murt, eyes already locked on the silhouette of their real enemy; Cassus. Rage growing even more upon the 'official' introduction of the enforcer, and immediately spiking when Sax heard him speak. Everything that came out of Cassus's mouth was an insult in every sense of the word.
"I doubt it." Letting out a dry chuckle as Xylo made his witty retort. Sax fully believed that Cassus only barely knew how to breathe or count, let alone consciously regenerate his gross busted face and mangled body. 'The only thing thats going to be quick is how much he is going to regret waking up this morning...'
Rolling their shoulders, Sax stepped forward, towering over Cassus by a good few feet in height. "I'll make this very simple for you, Minus and merely ask you a single question. Do you feel fear? No?" Only a short moment of pause was given, before Sax launched a heavy punch towards Cassus's gut. "You do now." With a roar, Sax unleashed the power of the Great Namek transformation, aiming to send Cassus up and over a nearby hill.
In the stunned silence of the others, Sax returned to their normal size, casting a disappointed look upon the invading clan. "That is your only warning."

Xylo preemptively cringed as Sax's body enlarged to ridiculous sizes. Cassus was really in for it now! With one simple strike, the Mazoku Lord's Son sent Cassus flying, his body streaking across the sky like a comet as he flew towards a nearby hill. His wounded form smashed into the top of the hill, causing a sizable explosion to ring out in every direction. The entire Murt Clan took a step back, their eyes wide with both fear and respect.
Murt was the first of his clan to break the newfound silence. He bowed graciously to Sax, his voice filled with relief as he spoke. "Thank you, young one. Your strength will never be forgotten." Without another word, Murt began to make his leave, the rest of his clan quickly following suit.
Xylo turned to his son, a proud look on his face. He knew his kids could pack a wallop, but that was something else! He let out a hearty laugh, moving towards his boy to pat him on the back. "Now THAT is how you deal with a bastard! Reminds me of that time I gave Tooba a good beating..." He trailed off for a moment, seemingly lost in thought about how good it felt to reprimand the foolish.
After a moment, Xylo snapped out of it, an idea coming to mind as he spoke once again. "Well, now that we've dealt with... Whatever that was... Do you want to come with me to Arcose? I need to meet with their Emperor to ensure our alliance is secured. I think your style could help with negotiations."

Sax slowly readjusted their scouter shades by pushing them back to a comfortable position with an index finger. One of the many plus sides to having these glasses is the look in your eyes would be hidden pretty easily; and that came into play almost immediately after Cassus had been dealt with. Though stern in their warning Sax didn't really mean to instill fear in all of the Murt clan. Just the ones that abused their power and caused harm to others like Cassus would. "Aherm." To get the attention of the elder, Sax made an exaggerated cough. "No need to bow, just-- If he comes back seek me out."
Soon enough, the Murt clan had vacated the premises. Sax let out a sigh just as Xylo gave them a pat on the back, launching their shades off their face with how sudden of a gesture that was! "Aaah, woah--!" Oh how ungracefully Sax fumbled, almost dropping their prized shades into a nearby lake. "H-he deserved it, okay! Nothing more, nothing less!" With a huff Sax folded their arms. Xylo's offer of a trip through space wasn't that bad of an idea in all truth. Some sightseeing could help this child of Xylo out of their funk! "Uh. Sure, but..." Plus, it was appreciated that he allowed Sax to deal with this problem themselves; their way. It was only fair to consider the offer.
There was one condition however.
"Dibs on the cool new armor suit!"
In an instant, Sax's arms stretched over the gates to the castle to two separate poles in the courtyard; and they slings-hotted themselves away, back inside!
