This world was not so different from the Demon Realm. It had its share of darkened corners, barren wastelands scorched by intense heat, and snowy tundra cold enough to freeze flesh and bone in minutes. Granted that it was not nearly as horrible as his home plane, but the demon felt a sense of nostalgia as he traversed the frigid landscape. Rugged, calloused feet stomped through the thick sheet of snow as the stifling, frigid winds buffeted at his body. Any mortal man would have collapsed from exhaustion or have succumbed to the merciless snow storms.
But a mortal man he was not.
The blood red pinpricks of his eyes glowed from amidst the fog and storm, never blinking. Despite the assault of the snow, his sight was as clear as crystal. In the distance he could see the small silhouettes of tiny huts and other civilized structures. The demon pressed on towards them.
By the time he had reached his destination, the storm had mostly dissipated. The winds were calmer now, but still forceful enough to make his attire billow in its wake. The bombardment of snow had been reduced to mere sprinkles. The small village seemed to have survived the blizzard completely intact, although the area was devoid of any mortal presence. It was suspected; no human would dare to brave the snow storm if there was shelter nearby. Even most demons would not do such a thing lest it was of utmost importance.
The thought made Sansho grimace. He at least hoped that there was some sort of store still open despite the weather.

The relentless tundra of the Forzen North made Yunzabit Heights feel like a tropical island. Aido had been on this planet nearly a month and he'd already realized that this world had much to offer him. After seeing so many different fighters that were leagues above his own power, the Namekian realized that he still had a long road ahead of him if he ever hoped to grow powerful enough to re-take his home village on Namek from the tyrannical grip of his brothers. He hoped training on this planet would help him achieve that goal, in both mind and body. The bitter cold whipped wildly around him in violent currents of wind as he flew across the frozen wasteland, his tranquil mind contrasting the wild, freezing storm he soared through. He never was very comfortable in the cold, but it was a good way of training his mind to remain calm in hectic situations.
He couldn't help but wonder if the humans of this world had colonized any part of this relentless wasteland. While somewhat lacking in physical strength, Aido noticed that humanity more than made up for it in tenacity and willpower. He recalled a time where Namek itself had been riddled with drought and horrid weather conditions such as this, and it nearly wiped the race out from what was recorded in the archives. Yet the humans were able to withstand conditions like this and still manage to thrive. It was because of factors like these that he felt there was so much more he could learn from the people of Earth. His sharp eyes narrowed at the sight of a small village off in the horizon. Aido found it amazing that someone would even consider making a settlement in a place as unforgiving as this. His curiosity getting the better of him, he decided to land.
The place seemed empty, barren almost. Perhaps the inhabitants were sheltered elsewhere, sparing themselves the chilling bite of the storm that seemed to be slowly, but surely dying down. With a deep breath, Aido flared his aura, ever so slightly, in an attempt to warm his body from the freezing cold. It seemed that not much was going on here. Perhaps when the storm completely passed, the inhabitants would return to their usual business. The faint energy levels he sensed suggested that there may be a shelter of sorts underground. He contemplated checking it out, but wondered if that would count as intruding.
Before another thought could enter his mind, however, an all too familiar tingling sensation shot down the back of his neck. He sensed someone else nearby. Someone very powerful. His muscles involuntarily tensed as he felt the immense pressure of the being's energy surround him. Whoever it was, they were at least more than twice as powerful as Aido himself. Then, off in the distance, he saw it. A silhouette at the opposite end of the village, partially obscured by the serene flakes of snow that fell from the sky. Even from far away, Aido could make out the intense, crimson pinpricks of the being's eyes, meeting his own gaze. Whoever this was, it certainly wasn't a human. Could this being be the reason the villagers were hiding underground? He had no way of knowing. Pushing his fear to the back of his mind, Aido decided to act, taking a few tentative steps toward the being, until he could make out a few more of its features, his dark robes and deep red hair mottled with snow as the wind blew on.
"Well met," Aido said, in a passive, yet stern tone. He didn't want to provoke the other visitor. Not yet, at least. "Are you from this village? Do you know where everyone is?"

[PL:21,514] [Suppressed to 100] Verst was scouting. He was still fairly vague on the surroundings of his new base, and as such would spend his time scouting out in large expansive circles around his base, mentally mapping the landscape. He knew that this knowledge may come of use if he was attacked in his base, being able to choose the battleground was very important, especially if the attacking force didn't have an extensive flight group.
Eventually however, he spotted a small village, he decided to land on the outskirts, walking on the top of the snow, taking mental measurements of the buildings and layout of the town. This could be a good spot for an ambush. Luckily the snow had hidden his approach enough for none of the humans to notice him. But perhaps someone else had...

The demon folded his muscled arms across his snow-matted chest. His dark eyes scanned the barren village with side-sweeping glances, the reds of his iris' creating faint streaks within the mist. He expected some form of life, or some form of movement that wasn't the flakes of snow drifting in his vision. Some of the houses had darkened smoke rising from the chimney stacks—it was a sure sign that there was people living here, just huddled away in their shelters and tucked by the cozy warmth of their hearths.
A weak species, Sansho thought to himself.
But something peaked his interest. From the far side of him, on the other side of the village pathway, he saw the silhouette of a living creature. Tall, large and bipedal. More importantly, it was someone who had a great deal of power about them, especially when compared to the average human. The warrior thought to himself if this being was indeed a particularly gifted human, or something else entirely.
The figure strode into view. A person with a bright green complexion, accented contrastingly by red and pink sections where its muscles settled. Large, pointed ears jutted from either side of its bald cranium. Two long green antennae protruded from its forehead. The creature was wrapped in black cloth with a purple sash and matching boots. His expression was stoic and serious.
This wasn't a human. This was something the demon had not seen before. The figure intrigued him somewhat.
As the Namekian greeted him, Sansho merely let out a huff through his nose, his warm breath creating condensated mists in the air. His eyes were fixated tightly upon the green humanoid, his expression never changing from its usual resting yet aggressive look.
"I am not from here," he replied in an equally gruff tone. "Its denizens are likely hiding from the cold. Weaklings."
His eyes shifted to the left. Marginally he had sensed another presence—another stronger than a typical human's, but vastly weaker than both of theirs. The demon ignored it, and fixated back onto the Namekian. "I am only here to purchase some items."

Aido eyed the visitor curiously. His brash, dismissive attitude toward the apparent weakness of the humans in this village reminded him of his brothers. He had a singing suspicion that he ought to be careful with this one. There was no telling what his true motives were. "I see," He responded stoically. He'd also felt the power of another being nearby, but it seemd like they were making an effort to not be seen. Tactics like that usually indicated the intent for an ambush. He would have to be on his guard. "Well, it doesn't look like any shops are open for business at the moment..." Aido added, scanning the village around them. The billowing smoke stacks of the chimneys indicated that they were definitely home, but the vast emptiness of the village left an all too eerie feeling about the place. "Perhaps they're hiding from whatever creature thinks is concealing itself from us." He continued, this time a bit more loudly, almost as if to challenge the third being trying to mask its energy. "I've spent enough time in places like this to know that something hiding its energy like this usually isn't a good sign... it may be best to be on your guard..."
Aido slowly unfolded his arms as he sank into a semi-battle stance. His faint, white aura steadily growing in intensity as he tried to sense where the hiding visitor might be. Growing up during a bloody war tended to make the Namekian somewhat paranoid in situations like this, but he believed it was better to be paranoid and right as opposed to oblivious and wrong.

Verst kept exploring the streets of the town, looking around unaware his presence was detected. He enjoyed Human architecture, so simple yet there was almost infinite intricacies that defined the building's owner and designer. Much different from the round and orb focused architecture of Arcose, The buildings were made of squares and rectangles all remaining close to the ground, he'd seen 'skyscrapers' but they were limited to cities.
He wandered between the streets nonchalantly, until he caught a glimpse of two figures out in the snow apparently conversing, and facing him, the green one seemed prepared for combat. Verst considered his options, show of power, or unaware weakling. The second proved more fun to him.
Verst approached, feigning shivers, clutching to his armor to provide some heat. "H-Hello there? D-do you have a f-fire?" Verst said stuttering. He awaited their response as he approached. Smirking to himself under his mask

Sansho let out a grunting huff, letting out another gust of mist. He didn't bother to move in the slightest. After a brief pause, his fingers tightened around his folded bicep. "I am always on guard," he replied with a low yet confident tone. He watched as the Namekian lowered into a more combative stance. His posture was tight and honed well. He must have seen his fair share of battles.
From the corner of his eyes the demon spotted another figure slowly appearing from the mists. Quite a tall individual, looking humanoid. White, carapace-esque armor donned his torso with protruding shoulder guards that jutted out to the sides, contrasted by what looked like a skin-tight purple body suit. His shining, gemstone-like cranium hid fierce eyes and his expressions hidden behind a chitinous face plate. The demon would have mistaken him for some sort of heavily-cladded human if it weren't for the opposable tail that snaked behind him.
The being appeared weak, frightened and completely overwhelmed by the frigid climate. His stuttering pleas for warmth all but confirmed it. The hulking warrior scoffed at this third character. "If you want warmth, go and huddle up with the rest of the whelps," he chided, turning his gaze to one of the houses nearby, its windows light with internal light and chimney stack creating blackened plumes of smoke. "I am sure they will share their warmth with you."

Aido eyed the visitor curiously, seemingly dropping his guard, though ready to retaliate at a moment's notice. The new visitor appeared to be an Arcosian. He'd heard some more than unpleasant rumor about his kind, though had little experience with them himself. His seemingly harmless appearance made the Namekian all the more suspicious of his intent. He nodded in agreement with the crimson haired man, who seemed somewhat irritated by the Arcosian's apparent weakness. "You're a long way from home, Arcosian." Aido said stoically. "What brings you all the way out here?"

Verst quickly realized he wasn't fooling the two creatures, the green one even seemed to know of his race. He adjusted his posture, his back straightened showing his true height, and his arms folded across his chest, he unsupressed his ki, the purple aura reappearing around him.
"Well that was fun while it lasted. Well Arcose is in a bit of a state at the moment, so i came here. It's been interesting so far. I have some work for fine gentlemen like yourselves, if your morals are questionable." The Arcosian replied inquisitively. "I can assure you, I am no whelp." Verst said with a flair of his aura.

The green one seemed more knowledgeable of this third person. This person was an Arcosian—it didn't ring any bells for the demon. Not that he entirely cared either; he was either peaceful or hostile, weak or strong. But judging by his aura, he was indeed strong, on par with the demon himself.
Things were starting to get quite interesting.
What wasn't interesting was the Arcosian's words. The muscled warriors flared his nostrils and narrowed his eyes at him. "I work for no one," he replied, his tone slow and raspy. He would not work for anyone, nor would he intimidated into doing so. At least, that was the impression Sansho got from him.
His arms unfolded from his barrelled chest. Scars small and large could be seen trailing across his pectoral muscles. A slight tinge of red began to emanate from around his body, creating strands and waves like solar flares.
"Do you aim to intimidate me, fool?" the demon voiced his concern towards the armoured figure.

Aido's brow began to furrow in concern as the Arcosian flared his aura. He knew the alien was intentionally suppressing his true power, but he wasn't expecting him to be as powerful as he was. The Arcosian's strength rivaled even the immense power he felt from the robed fire-haired individual beside him, perhaps even stronger. His proposition for individuals with "Questionable morals" didn't do much for the Namekian's confidence either. "I don't like the sound of what you're proposing..." he said sternly, straightening his stance as his hands clenched into fists. He wasn't sure how well he'd fare against someone as powerful as the Arcosian, but he wouldn't allow himself to be intimidated. The Namekian inwardly lamented on how he'd suddenly found himself in such a delicate situation. On top of feeling the immense power radiating off of these two warriors, the ki signatures of the innocent people tucked away within this village lingered in the back of his mind. The robed man's antagonistic response to the Arcosian didn't do much to comfort his fear that these innocent people might get caught in the crossfire of their bout, should one break out. He would do everything in his power to keep them safe.
"I'd suggest we take this elsewhere if you plan on getting hostile," Aido said, turning toward the demonic figure. "The harsh weather is enough of a burden on these villagers. If you plan on fighting, leave them out of it."

"I didn't mean any insult, I just merely wanted you to know that we're on a similar playing ground. To make the deal without any hidden knowledge. I seem to have come at this situation all wrong. Let me introduce myself, the name is Verst. I simply wished a favor for a favor. You help me, I help you. Simple enough? We can even do yours first." Verst spoke calmly, raising his hands defensively.
"I have no intention on harming the Humans or their residences. Unless they conflict with me and my interests, I shall allow them to live their simple lives. The same goes for both of you." Verst explained calmly. "Now why don't you both introduce yourselves so we might get some form of a deal going, or you can go on your merry ways." Verst smiled although hidden by his mask the smile lines appeared on his cheeks.

The demon's eyes were fixated intently on the Arcosian. The crimson aura about his head and shoulders continued to bubble and arc over itself as it fluttered about his form. As quick as it came it disappeared, the strands and flares dissipating into the mist. His arms folded back over his chest. He gave a snort and turned away from the armoured being. "You are smarter than you look," he chided. His eyes swivelled to the Namekian. "I have no interest in fighting. I am here only to purchase some items," he repeated. Though coldly he added, "I have no care what happens to the people here."
Though true enough, he had some sort of inkling of intrigue as to what the Arcosian wanted. The Arcosian's choice of words, however, were not something he cared for. "My name in Sansho. And unlike you, I have business with this place. So unless you spit out what it is you wanted to say, leave."

Aido let out an inward sigh of relief as the Arcosian named "Verst" clarified his intent, and the Demon named "Sansho"'s aura dissipated. He tentatively eased his muscles as well in a sign of good faith, turning curiously toward Verst. "Call me Aido," he said curtly. "And I'm simply traveling throughout this world searching to better myself as a warrior. I have... some things to take care of back home. I'll need to be more powerful to take care of it, though." He folded his arms, glancing back at the empty city, grateful no harm was intent upon it. "If you know someone powerful I can train with, I might consider your favor... depending, of course, on what it is."

"Aido, Sansho, A pleasure surely." Verst cracked a hidden smile; As he gave a small bow bending himself in half over his arm. "Aido, I would be willing to train you. My price is very simple, I wish presently for these surrounding lands scouted, and major threats identified. I.e. Who are the strongest people on this planet. That is all." Verst finished his sentence and spread his arms, as if displaying the deal he just laid out.
