For we are Legion. When he awoke from his unconsciousness again he found himself in a scorched environment. His pod rested in the middle of a crater and all around him was a vast vista of nothingness. Not knowing where he was he decided to scout the environment...
Simply leaving his crashed little shuttle however already proved to be a first challenge for him. The orb had crashed on its backside and the door was hanging open in its hinges just above his armored head, forcing him to lift his weight through the small opening and out into the open and unforgiving sun. Under different circumstances this might have been the least of his worries, however after fleeing the compound where he had been created and crashing on this foreign planet his body seemed unwilling to follow the commands sent by his brain. Only with great effort did he manage to reach up to the sides of the hatch and when he finally managed to heave up the rest of his body he immediately proceeded to roll down the dented outer walls of his spacecraft. Hard and dry earth catched his tumble and for a few moments the bioandroid had to rest in a rather awkward pose, one of his legs following the curve of the orb while the other one was raised feebly into the air.
Ugh...
One of his yellow eyes opened up, followed closely by the second one and with a cautious gaze Prion started scanning the closer area. Brown and red rocks surrounded him, with more slowly tumbling over the raised edges of the crater in the center of which he was lying. Forcing his arms into submission Prion slowly picked himself from the ground and switched into what can be described as a sitting position, with his back leaning against the cold exterior of his spacecraft and his legs extended towards the edges of the crater. Closing his eyes for a moment again he could feel his body slowly knitting together the broken pieces inside of him. What.now... His voice didnt seem to feel any better than he did. His words seemed to break off right after he finished speaking them and for a while he remained silent again, his own sounds sounding somewhat alien and strange to him. I need nourishment...information...an overview about my current situation. In that order.
This time his legs did not protest as he slowly rose to his full size next to the orb. Climbing over the edge of the crater proved easier than climbing out of his shuttle, however, nothing especially interesting or even new came into sight. More rocks, more red. Just where did i end up? His fingers fidgeted in a weird sense of excitement as he made off into a random direction. Withhin his head he had marked the location of his crashed "base" to which he could at all times return if things got heated.
For a while, Prions only companion was the sound of his armored feet crushing small stones and stirring up red sand as he walked across the weird surface of this planet. The sun was slowly reaching the edge of the horizont when Prion decided to turn once again, switching into a direction that was perpendicular to his previous one. However nothing changed until the sun had fully dived beneath the edge of the red dune. The lone walker had already turned back towards his craft when a sudden if silent noise startled him. It sounded as if someone was dragging edged plates across the sandy dunes and it was coming from all around him. Maybe another spacecraft? Or even an indigenious species? He stopped moving and observed the current environment. Neither lights nor silhouettes seemed visible, only some large boulders and flat stones that were filling the area. Hello.? He turned around as the sounds slowly started gathering behind him and to his surprise one of the flat stones in his sight started shaking and trembling. Could Prion raise his eyebrows he would have probably done so by now. Instead however he assumed a slightly defensive stance with one leg behind the other as the stone slowly shuffled to the side and dropped to the ground, revealing a black hole directly underneath it. The sound rose in volume and were clearly coming from the opening. That. Is clearly not a spacecraft.
A vaguely human-looking head popped up from the darkness with a big bulbous head and soft glowing, beady eyes. Chrrrrip? No. I am. afraid. I am not. "Chrrrrip". Seeing the figure fully leaving its hiding place, followed up by multiple other creatures similar in appearance, awoke a weird feeling in Prion. I... desire? A blurry memory of the energy that filled him periodically in his tube filled his head and the inside of his palms seemed to itch. What.? He looked down at his hands, at the small dots in the middle of each palm that were radiating a greenish light. When his eyes returned to the strange creatures around him he barely managed to duck an incoming swing. However he did not see the attack coming from behind him and with a light thud he was thrown forward. More chirping behind him as he slowly rose again and turned around. The ambush attack hadnt been especially hard, which seemed to surprised the creatures. I think. This might have. Been a mistake... Something akin to pride filled Prion as he noticed that his vocal cords had improved. But now is not the time to savor my own voice... His body moved on its own, dashing forward and hitting the first creature, from close up he could see its green plant-like hide clearly, with his ellbow directly to the chest.
The small person was thrown backwards and straight into a bigger rock which it almost managed to split in two on impact. Excitement filled Prions mind and without him even realizing it he turned around and delivered a graceful roundhouse kick which managed to remove two more attacker from his immediate vicinity. This. This is... FUN! Fists started to connect with more weird green jaws than he cared to count and in a speedy blur all of the creatures had been spread upon the sandy ground surrounding Prion. Filled with exhilaration he closed in on the green man he had punched into a stone first. The creature was chirping silently and violet tinted blood was pouring from its mouth. Raising the poor thing with one hand Prion inspected it more closely. Its head seemed to make up almost half of its body and both arms and legs were surprisingly frail and covered in bark-like skin. Holding the small being he noticed another thing. His hands ached for... something. His grip-pressure increased and suddenly he felt energy, Fresh.Energy., pouring into his body, filling him with strength once again.
When the sound rose again, Prion was wandering the surface of the dunes once more, searching for intelligent life. And somewhere in the vast and scorched lands of the dunes several groups of dried out husks with green skin were roasting in the sun.
