The giant, pale white orb that was Earth's moon hung high in the sky, casting its pale light over the land. The brilliant rays of light illuminated the darkness of night, lighting the way for one Raisu Hanamura, who now stood alone on one of the islands in the southern archipelago. But how long would he be alone? The hybrid had come out to this forsaken island in the middle of the sea with a plan, and he intended to put it into action.
The cool, night wind took his long, crimson hair and it waved slightly in the breeze. A shiver ran down his spine, but it did not come about because of the wind; no, Raisu's spine was tingling because of that shining orb in the sky. The moon's rays bore down on him, and something in him stirred. It felt as if something were crawling beneath his skin, like flames were licking their way up his innards and setting the very nerves in his body to crackling. The feeling muddied his mind, as if his body knew what was only one short glance away. Were the hybrid to turn his gaze upward, he would be transformed. For within him was a beast, chained to the very essence of his being, a beast born out of Saiyan blood. Once upon a time, Raisu had feared the beast. Hell, thought the halfblood, he still feared it and now he could control it! Such raw, bestial, destructive power and it all rested within him. The hybrid might not be a Super Saiyan, but he was a Great Ape beneath the surface. It was his only source of power beyond that of his base form, and while it was limited in use, it multiplied his power many times over. And, if Raisu could not become a Super Saiyan, it only made sense to him to further practice with this form.
Raisu lifted one arm to look at it, his body now covered in something that was quite odd for him: a form-fitting, black body suit made of space-grade material. The Saiyans used material like this, he noted, in conjunction with their own Oozaru forms as to keep themselves clothed. Raisu had acquired it from a specialty shop in South Capitol, but now was his first time testing it. Hopefully, he hadn't gotten a raw deal.
Taking a deep breath, Raisu cast his thoughts out like a net, reaching out to the man who had driven him to this: Cornatto.
'Hey,' thought Raisu, 'I've been thinking about what you said and now I've got a challenge for you. Come on out to the islands, and I'll tell you what I mean.'
And with that, Raisu stood in silence, his only company the light of the moon and the gentle breeze.
