"Damnit Regis! Get back over here and train or else I'll have to kill you myself!" The hulking man, Clay, sprinted after Regis and his friend Jason. Jason was in front of Regis as they were getting chased down an alley. It was rather surprising Clay was able to keep up with how narrow it was. With quick thinking Regis knocked down a trash can to try and buy more time. Though Clay was surprisingly agile enough to mount over it. Jason tripped over a box and fell with Regis vaulting over him.
As Regis ran out of the alley and up some steps on the side of a building, he found himself on the rooftop of the building. From there he bounded over ledges and gaps to reach other buildings. Then he slid down a slanted rooftop and fell to the ground. To break his fall he went into a roll and then back to his feet. He was panting and out of breath. By this point he figured he lost Clay. He knew he was wrong when a large hand was on his shoulder. It was Clay.
Clay raised his fist which made Regis close his eyes and brace, but nothing came. Instead the man smiled and ruffled his hair. "Well.. normally I'd give you a beating and drag you bag to training but, don't want to ruin that face before you head out this afternoon. Instead.. I had a different idea." Clay released Regis and from his hip he drew a one handed sword. Not some toy, a real one. Regis had never once defeated Clay in training. Of course since this would be their last bout, he would give 'em hell.
Clay moved back a few meters as Regis did as well. They waited a moment and then in an instant Regis materialized a one handed sword into his right hand and threw it at Clay. Then, instantly Regis was holding the sword again right in front of Clay as where he once was remained an image of him, though it seemed like a blue hologram. Regis opened up with the surprise attack which Clay partied to the side. Though Regis went with the momentum and did a full spun to drop an attack downwards diagonally at his shoulder.
Clay managed to spin out of the way to only receive a small gash on his arm, but ''twas a flesh wound for him. This time Clay retaliated by cleaving the blade downwards at him which Regis managed to block despite the obvious strength difference. By tilting his sword a bit to the side he made Clay's sword slide down and off as Regis stepped in closer, elbowing Clay in the stomach. Normally this would be effective, but Clay had far too much muscle for that to even hurt him. Clay kicked Regis away and attacked again. Regis recovered quickly and stepped to the side of Clay's thrust and put one foot in front of Clay's and used the momentum from his thrust to throw him down to the ground and point his sword at Clay's throat.
At that the sword disappeared out of Regis' hand and he began to walk off. They had said plenty to each other through combat alone. Regis made a final stop at his house to say goodbye to his parents. It was time for him to leave on his journey. At that he hopped into his black car and drove out of town and into the big wide world.
One day the Saiyans (nation) attacked. When the town needed Regis the most, he wasn't there. (He vanished.) The Saiyans showed no mercy with their onslaught, destroying everything and killing everybody in sight. Nobody was spared except for Clay, who had returned to his hometown up in the north. All of Regis' friends and family were dead as the town went up in smoke. Regis however continued on with his journey, oblivious to the fact that everybody was dead.
As Regis passed through many towns and met a few people, he noticed that there was more to it than just exploring the world. He could already tell his journey would take him much farther than the world. Perhaps other planets far and wide. He wondered who he'd meet and what kinds of people were actually out there. He shrugged and continued driving down the black paved roads, the wind blowing at his hair.
Day 1
Regis leaned against the black automobile as it was getting refueled. He had his arms folded across his chest while he waited for the sound of the gas to finish. Once done, he put in the money and was about to head out again when he figured he'd need some supplies. Well, maybe at least some lunch. Regis looked around and saw a small restaurant that didn't seem too busy. He hoped service would be fast due to not a lot of people being there. As Regis took his seat and ordered, he noticed how the restaurant didn't look as bad as he thought it would, plus the food was cheap as well.
When the food came, he was... disgusted. His order was messed up so he had to pick everything off his cheeseburger.. pickles.. lettuce.. onions.. blegh. Touching and looking at it was disgusting. Finally when he had removed the monstrosities, he began to eat. The food itself wasn't that bad but of course it could have been better. As he ate a large man walked by his table. When the man saw how much of a picky eater he was, he got infuriated. He lived by a code, that no food shall be wasted! All food is good food! And those that disagree, should receive a swift death!
The man's face turned red with anger. "You damn spoiled brat, why did you take off of your food?! All food is good! All food should be eaten!" Regis just looked at him and materialized a sword in his hand and threw it at him. The man moved out of the way and drew his pistol and shot Regis. Game Over. His journey was already over. Well, that's what the man thought as the bullet hit the blue hologram afterimage. Regis was instead behind the man holding the sword at his neck before then smacking him into submission with the flat end. One hit was enough to send him unconscious.
Regis thus paid for his food and returned to his car, which he promptly entered it and exited the small town, if you could call it a town. One day down and he already made an enemy. He could see that there was a reason he needed to be trained. Perhaps at one point even his father ventured out like he was now, even using the same car. Regis smiled as the wind blew through his hair again, the feeling was good, and he'd feel it much much more as this was but the start of his long journey.
