It was pointless for one to point out the gap between the two; and how could it be otherwise? The Earthling Saiyan was fighting with the power of the Legendary Super Saiyan, and he was barely holding back-- or well, he was. But, he was still using a considerable amount of his power. It was not a mere coincidence, though. Cornatto felt like it’d have quickly pushed up the hybrid’s hopes to fight against someone stronger than him, or at least, the man knew it worked for himself. If Raisu was anything like a Saiyan-- or at least like Cornatto, he was sure that it would have worked. Hopefully, at least.
The punch hit the hybrid pretty hard; he was pretty sure that the man was going to feel it for quite a bit before fading, but he was confident in the hybrid’s skills and that a bare punch wouldn’t have been enough to stop him if he had managed to pull the right strings. And apparently, he did. Even after that hit, and that landing-- that could honestly have gone much better than it did, had barely hit Raisu’s spirit.
He watched him stand up, his firm gaze still set upon him but the man was smirking to himself. It was hard for him to portray any emotion in that state, aside from anger. However, if the hybrid’s blood was flowing, his Saiyan blood was burning. He was going to have the spar continue until their last drop of blood, no matter what.
“I guess so. And I’m planning to get stronger, as much as my limit can take!” - exclaimed the Earthling Saiyan, he was obviously not going to stop at that point, and he expected Raisu to follow-- or even to surpass him, he knew that hybrid would probably be capable of it if only he’d manage to turn into a Super Saiyan.
He watched as Raisu made his next move, frowning as once more the hybrid decided not to go for a direct approach but landing a kick from behind. His head steadily turned to the side as Raisu managed to kick him; he couldn’t certainly deny it, the hybrid could still hit hard, even if he had not been keeping up his training. He felt it, his neck aching a bit but he wasn’t just going to stand still.
The man rushed forward as the hybrid passed over him, attempting to reach out for the hybrid’s leg and pull him closer, his hand glowing with a raging energy; a Ki Blast as he’d try to fire it in his stomach and send him flying away.

Success. The side of his bare foot crashed into the head of his foe and rival, making the man's head turn ever so slightly. Of course, he might as well be hitting a rock. A super rock at that, but still. A year ago, such a kick might have sent Cornatto flying or at least set the Saiyan to reeling, but now? Raisu was dealing with a much sturdier man.
And a man who had much better combat reflexes. As Raisu moved through the air, Cornatto was ready. As Raisu passed overhead, he was met with the sudden, ironclad grip of Cornatto's hand wrapping around his leg like some sort of vice. Raisu was jerked back through the air, much like some kind of child. As he twisted and turned, trying to get free, the sudden glow of ki was shining up at him. A flash of realization went through his mind like snap lightning and he moved to cross his arms to shield himself, but he was much too slow. In a flash, Cornatto buried the ki blast in his stomach and Raisu was set free from the steel grip of Cornatto as the blast carried him upward. The blast burned in his stomach like a fireball. The young hybrid tumbled in air, eventually forcing himself to a stop.
Raisu patted his own stomach, flinching in pain at the mere touch. "Wow..." he muttered to himself, "I'm really out of my depth." The heavy hand of realization pressed down on him. This was the power of a Super Saiyan, the ability to transcend limits Raisu had hit long ago. If he were smart, Raisu would give up now. Throwing himself at such a foe was a waste of time and energy. But as he hovered there, the halfblood was committed.
He looked down at Cornatto, and quickly raised both his hands in front of him and rapidly jackhammered his hands back and forth, each pump of the arm letting loose a ki bolt. How often did flurries like this work? Not often enough, but this storm of ki was all in the way of tactics he had in the moment. With any luck, the barrage would keep him pinned and the impact on the ground would be enough to blind the man. But then again, Raisu was dealing with a man of super stature.

The Earthling Saiyan’s grip tightened on the Hybrid’s leg, almost as if he caught an object in mid-air or tried to pull someone from running away. And, while the Saiyan’s first thought was to throw him away; he had a better idea in mind. Enforcing his grip, the man drew his arm back as he pulled the hybrid closer, not too close but enough for the man to concentrate a small amount of his Ki in his hand; his palm growing in a yellow, raging flame of energy aimed to hit his opponent.
“Let’s see if he can dodge this…” - he thought to himself, clenching his fist tightly as he pushed his hand forward, reaching out to the pink-haired hybrid’s stomach as he fired the blast at very close quarters-- pointless to say that Raisu was sent flying away from its explosion.
Cornatto observed him, watching the Hybrid as the force of the blast pushed him away from the Super Saiyan and sent him tumbling in the air, all the while the Earthling Saiyan gazed at the overturning form dressed in pink. It was curious to see how things had changed.
A year ago, the Earthling Saiyan would have likely been the one in Raisu’s situation; the two had always fought without drawing back, especially Raisu even if he was already leaps and bounds stronger. But Cornatto didn’t mind-- fighting stronger opponents had always been exciting to him after all, and Raisu was probably one of the strongest people he had ever met in his journey. However, that day the tables had indeed flipped and while the man tried not to hurt Raisu with his overwhelming power, he also felt like what Raisu needed was something strong enough to spark a light within the hybrid; the passion for fighting that all the members of their species had deep within themselves. Cornatto hoped that he could help with providing such a feeling, and maybe he was succeeding.
Raisu was feeling his blast; taking a look at how he was patting his stomach was more than enough to tell. He was somewhat expecting him to give up; at that point, Raisu would have likely noticed the gap between the two, and yet it didn’t look like he had any intentions of giving up. To him, that was an excellent characteristic.
And despite the situation, the man had to acknowledge the Hybrid’s strength; it was beyond any measure how a person could get that powerful without any power up. Cornatto himself couldn’t be a match without turning into a Super Saiyan, not to mention that the hybrid had apparently managed to keep this strength even after slacking off for about a year, and that was something that he could consider a feat-- more or less.
In most cases one would eventually begin to lose their strength, or their Ki even lower without proper exercise-- and yet Raisu didn’t seem that much out of shape. He could be a bit rusty maybe but that aside, he didn’t see any difference between the old pink haired man and the one that he was fighting at that very moment. None aside from that mindset of his that the Earthling Saiyan didn’t exactly share, admittedly the man didn’t know what exactly to think of it-- while Raisu could be right in a manner of speaking, giving up wasn’t something you’d easily see from a Saiyan.
To be honest, he didn’t see that coming. To meet one of his closest friends, but at the same time hearing a speech like that; one that consisted of words of a man who tried everything but went nowhere, he honestly didn’t expect that. It wasn’t on his agenda, nor did he want it to be. However, that was what their battle was for-- to help Raisu snap out of it, or at least that was what he was aiming for with their fight.
Maybe it was selfish on his part, after all as a friend what he’d have done was to respect his decision and let him be, but he insisted-- because they were martial artists. That was why he had decided so; Raisu had been a good friend to him, and also the one who inspired him to train to the point. The point where he had managed to obtain the strength necessary to tap into the power of the one legend that he wasn’t even aware of until some months before their encounter.
But, at the same time, it wasn’t training itself that brought the Earthling Saiyan to snap out of its limits and ascend into a Super Saiyan. And such brought him to question what the Hybrid told him earlier-- what did he say earlier? What could he possibly mean that he tried so hard to become a Super Saiyan? An overwhelming power was indeed necessary, but that raw strength alone wasn’t enough for one to turn into a Super Saiyan.
It was beyond his comprehension as to how one could trigger what was necessary to gain access to the golden form by training, but what Cornatto could tell from his experience was that Super Saiyans were supposedly born in response to a dire situation, or at least that was his case. He couldn’t imagine what sort of stuff Raisu had gone through, and what even brought to give up on his training.
“Earlier you said something about the pain you had to endure in the attempt to become a Super Saiyan… what did you try to do exactly?” - he asked, with a hint of curiosity in his voice as the man was genuinely curious to hear what sort of things Raisu had gone through, and after that maybe he’d come to know him better than before.
The ‘Pink Jacket Man’ decided not to waste time and resume his attack, once more attempting to hit Cornatto with a flurry; a rather typical move, which many preferred not to use often but it could be useful in certain situations-- like trying to break an opponent’s guard. In that case, Raisu’s goal was keeping Cornatto immobile, and that it did. The Earthling Saiyan raised his arms close to his face; his elbow bent at 90° and his head covered by his muscular arms, guarding himself against the Ki barrage.
The Earthling Saiyan grit his teeth, smoke and sand covering his sight. However, he couldn’t just keep defending himself. Cornatto drew one of his arms back, and continued to shield himself with the other as the man took off and flew straight at Raisu, focusing a small amount of his energy in his hand before he’d then blindly extend his palm forward and release his energy for a brief moment in a yellow Ki wave, designed to push away his opponent. Should it be successful, he’d rush at Raisu and attempt to strike with a half-fist that’d hit with the second knuckles of his four fingers in his groin and connect with a flurry of his own.

As Raisu began his assault, Cornatto shouted a question. What did Raisu try to do to reach the Super Saiyan transformation? A tight, deep grimace sprouted over his face, spreading like some kind of infectious disease. A better question would be: what hadn't he done? Raisu had tried so very hard and gotten nowhere!
And it seemed like his training, his ki blast assault was getting him nowhere. The Super Saiyan was a mighty foe, standing strong and persevering through his assault. The ki blasts had to be doing something, the yellow tear drop-shaped bolts of energy ripping through the air like missiles, exploding on and around Cornatto, showers of sand and smoke going up everywhere. In his fury, it briefly occurred to Raisu that he was ruining his own beach. But Raisu was beyond caring; the hybrid was wrapped up in the mental fog of battle.
Through the curtain of smoke and sand came Cornatto, speeding at him like a bullet. A wave of ki came at him, the prelude to a greater assault. Almost instinctively, ki flooded Raisu's body as he burst upward and around Cornatto, suddenly appearing behind him as the Super Saiyan's assault ripped through an afterimage instead.
Quickly, Raisu tried to wrap his arms around Cornatto's neck and plant his knee into the back of his foe, going for some sort of binding hold. A desperate move for certain, but one should never underestimate the power of bodily leverage. All the while, Raisu finally answered Cornatto's question. "You wanna know what I did to try and reach Super Saiyan?" Grunted Raisu, "Lemme tell you: I tried so damn hard! I reached into the pit of my soul and tried to drag it out kicking and screaming. And when you try and force that power, it hurts! Every fiber of your being screams out 'stop!', but I didn't listen. I tried to force the transformation, but you know what? It doesn't work!"

The Earthling Saiyan flew like a bullet at the hybrid, with not the best of intentions as he decided to give him what he had received that far; it consisted of a technique that held under pressure spiritual pressure before being released. An attack that would then knock away an opponent-- either that or even take him out for a short amount of time. It wasn’t a technique one would start with, more like use it as a little surprise mid-fight. However, this time, it was barely a way for him to commence his comeback-- which didn’t happen.
As Cornatto was in close quarters with Raisu, he pushed his arm forward, and his palm wide open directed towards the pink-haired hybrid as he shot a small ki wave. It was bright yellow, rather different compared to his signature move; the Kyutsuyo, which was a large, blue ki wave. Both served different purposes, but in the end, both shared the same goal; to hit their opponent, and in this case, he didn’t.
At first, one would likely think that his attack was a success, however as the energy wave faded there was nothing left but a fading afterimage. Cornatto’s eyes widened, clenching his teeth tightly as he tried to elaborate what had just happened as quickly as possible but maybe it was already too late. “N-nandato?! (“W-what?!”)” - exclaimed the man, about to turn around before he felt a firm grip on his neck and something pressing against the Earthling Saiyan’s back.
Cornatto looked down at his neck, only to glare as he immediately realized that the hybrid had decided to go for a grab-- but also trying to take an advantage over the Saiyan through body leverage which could be quite painful no matter what. He didn’t immediately feel it, but as the hybrid continued to press his knee into his back, he began to feel uncomfortable-- a feeling that steadily turned into pain.
“He was fast… heh, I guess he’s still got a natural instinct for battle then.” - he thought to himself. Again, Cornatto had half-heartedly expected to fight against a vulnerable person compared to the Raisu he knew, but it didn’t feel much so. One could say that it was a trait among most Saiyans, even in the hybrids; and the Earthling Saiyan had met quite a few, even if some of them were somewhat weird-- while others were softer if compared to not only the Saiyan race but Cornatto himself. Raisu was one of the most normal he had met that far.
However, he couldn’t say that he was fond of Raisu’s move, and in his current state, it wouldn’t take much to irritate Cornatto-- his aura itself was fierce, his heart pumping blood like crazy. While he was used to such feelings, especially in a fight, as a Super Saiyan it was almost like as if there was a steady dose of adrenaline in his blood. And such made self-control a trait impossible to maintain under the effects of the golden form where a Saiyan's raw emotions acted as a fuel-- which would then grant a Saiyan an enormous amount of power, but at the same time waste a lot of energy. That was probably the biggest flaw of the legendary transformation.
Nor that Raisu seemed any different at the moment, and yet he wasn’t even a Super Saiyan. At that moment, the Earthling Saiyan could feel how different the atmosphere was if he were to compare it to a few minutes before Cornatto asked his question. Maybe it had pulled more than a few strings within the hybrid, but that could lead to something that he could use to help Raisu-- or so he hoped at least. He didn’t know much about his case, and what he attempted to turn into one of the legendary golden warriors.
Cornatto flinched a bit, his head tilting slightly to the side as he was trying to have a look on the hybrid’s face as Raisu answered his question-- not with the most friendly tone he had ever heard from him.
The boy who was a combination between a Saiyan and a Human spoke of everything he had gone through; of the pain he had to endure as he continued seeking a power that many possessed-- except for the Hybrid himself that is. And it was no surprise that he’d feel frustrated after all of his failures, probably many would. Cornatto himself had been in a similar phase back then, but it was Raisu who helped him snap out of it. Even if the Earthling Saiyan’s reasons were nothing compared to the hybrid’s. Cornatto’s were born from a little rivalry towards Raisu, while the pink-haired boy wanted that power so that he could use it for a greater good, which was a noble cause but the man knew that attempting to force the power out would have never worked.
No man would turn into a Super Saiyan like that-- there was something that each Saiyan required; a feeling high enough to trigger the power from within the depths of the warrior’s soul-- a necessity.
He could still remember the moment he turned into a Super Saiyan; against the third-in-commander of the Saiyan Empire, Mayze. Back then, the Saiyan had forced Cornatto into a corner with his superior power, something that the Earthling Saiyan had not expected to face during his time on Vegeta, not at all. However, the difficult circumstances acted like a spark within the Earthling Saiyan that brought him to release the power of the Legendary Super Saiyan!
The power of a Super Saiyan was something that one would not have to force out, no. To Cornatto, it felt like an automatic process-- as if the power itself came out of the fighter liberally. Especially after the first time, the power was so underwhelming that it was difficult for him to control at first-- that was until he learned the secret behind the transformation; one’s emotions.
A Saiyan’s emotions-- most especially rage, were the key to unlocking the legendary transformation, and that was what Raisu lacked; a dire situation that’d bring the hybrid into a corner and experience emotions such as anger. So that he could finally let it all out, but at the same time not allowing his emotions to take over his mind. And how the hybrid described how he felt each time he tried to transform, the Earthling Saiyan was certain that he was right.
As his thoughts brought him back to that fateful day on Vegeta, he couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if the two Saiyans were to meet again. He couldn’t tell if Mayze had gotten any stronger after their first encounter, but he was entirely sure that he was still nowhere close to his power. However, that was not the time nor the place to think about that.
Raisu was still pressing his knee against the Earthling Saiyan’s knee, the pain growing stronger every second that passed; it felt like as if his muscles were about to be torn apart. His expression hardened, his teeth clenched as he let his head slowly rear forward. “Don’t you get it?... That’s why you can’t become a Super Saiyan!” - exclaimed the man, launching the back of his head against the hybrid’s face in the attempt to slam it into his nose and break free.
Should it be successful, he’d try to take the chance to rush at him and attempt to hit him in the face with his elbow, before he’d then draw back his arm in the attempt to connect with an uppercut.

Raisu struggled with his grapple, still trying to reign in the mighty Super Saiyan. His muscles pulsed and whined with the effort, but he was holding fast in his efforts. How long his grip would hold, he was not sure. It would take no effort at all for the Super Saiyan to break free of Raisu's grip: it was like trying to bind a raging bull with a thin fishing line. Eventually, the line was going to snap and something had to give.
As the beads of sweat on Raisu's forehead turned to rivulets, pouring now into his face with the effort, Cornatto gave a shout. The words registered in Raisu's battle-clouded mind and his bind loosened ever so slightly as the sensible part of his brain whirred to life to process this new information. Raisu could not become a Super Saiyan because... what? Because he tried to force it? Cornatto had said it was something that could not be forced before, but now the point was even sharper: for all his effort, Raisu could not reach that golden tier of power.
As Raisu pondered, his head was rocked once again. This time by a physical force, not a verbal one. Cornatto slammed the back of his golden head into Raisu's face, that gilded crown of hair smashing against his nose like a hammer. The very energy coursing through the hair burned ever so slightly against his face, a slight warmth. But the pain was great: his nose felt as if it were about to burst. In raw instinct, his arms flew away from his foe and towards his own face. A rookie mistake, he knew it, but his battle senses had dulled over the last year or so.
The crimson-haired hybrid paid for his mistake: an elbow to the face and an uppercut shortly after. As Raisu was sent spiraling further into the sky, the pain went through his body like a shockwave. Hitting the brakes, Raisu came to a stop and turned himself about in the air, maneuvering himself to face Cornatto. His face puled with searing pain, like someone has smashed up his bones and used them for kindling for a fire that was now raging beneath the surface of pale, peachy skin. Though it would not remain that way for long.
Raisu slowly palmed his face, feeling it up. Nothing was broken, as far as he could tell, but it still hurt like a bitch. But his black, Saiyan eyes were turned on Cornatto, the slightest wellspring of tears pooling up in them. "Tell me, Cornatto!" Roared Raisu, his voice shrill and hoarse, "How do I become a Super Saiyan?"
And as he shouted at his foe, Raisu was left standing there, open and vulnerable, waiting for anything that might come: assault or answer.

Even if his statement had managed to break through the hybrid somehow, that wasn’t certainly going to be nowhere enough to break free of Raisu’s grab. Maybe he could simply get out of it by releasing their energy outwards in an explosive wave of ki. But, Cornatto preferred using his strength rather than Ki most of the time-- in a few words, if he wanted to get out of that grab, he was going to do it the good old way; force the hybrid to release his grip. And the only way to do that, in a situation as tight as that, was to use his head. Literally. The man had successfully managed to smash the back of his head against the hybrid’s hand whose reaction was immediate to let him free.
The Earthling Saiyan let out a sigh of relief, and how could he not? No matter how powerful one could be; if someone would tear his muscles apart, well, all of that power would be put to waste. Cornatto’s posture straightened, a few pops from his back audible before turning back, only to see Raisu covering himself-- with his arms?! Raisu was leaving himself open, almost as if he was inviting the Earthling Saiyan to strike. “...Maybe I’ll take back the whole thing about his instincts.” - he thought to himself.
The man decided not to waste time regardless of Raisu’s rookie mistake, if he were to be gentle, then this whole thing would have no point; he didn’t mean to fight the hybrid seriously, but he wasn’t certainly going to treat him nicely in the middle of a spar. Especially one where he expected Raisu to give it his best.
Cornatto’s aura flared around him as the man charged towards the hybrid, his arm bent at 90° as he aimed his elbow against the hybrid’s face, but delivering that blow alone wouldn’t have done much. He needed a reaction out of the hybrid so that maybe he could understand by himself what he required to turn into a Super Saiyan. The Earthling Saiyan drew his arm back and placed it close to his hips, clenching his fist tightly before he launched his fist back at the hybrid, striking him with an uppercut.
The man’s posture straightened once more, his gaze lifting up as he watched Raisu flying away into the sky just like a rocket would, not taking away his eyes from him even for the slightest moment. The hybrid finally halted after a few minutes, however, while Cornatto expected to be attacked any moment now, it seemed as if Raisu was more interested in checking whether the Saiyan had busted his face or not. Which could be understandable considering the blows Raisu had to endure since the beginning of the spar, maybe he’d have had to tone it down a bit if they were to continue.
It wasn’t exactly the easiest of things restraining one’s power level as a Super Saiyan, but one would eventually get the hang of it with enough practice. After his first time back on Vegeta, Cornatto wasn’t even capable of turning into a Super Saiyan again-- or rather he didn’t know how, until he realized that what his spirit needed was thinking of what happened when the man fought Mayze; or to be precise, the emotions that he experienced.
Shortly after, the crimson haired hybrid snapped, crying out the Earthling Saiyan’s name who gazed at him. How could Raisu turn into a Super Saiyan? Now that was something Cornatto could have just told him straight away; however, he was planning on having Raisu catching a hint, he guessed that could have had more of an impact upon the hybrid. But if Raisu wanted to know the truth behind the Super Saiyan transformation that badly, Cornatto wasn’t certainly going to deny him the knowledge that Raisu had been seeking that much. He let out a faint sigh, closing his eyes for a brief moment as he thought of some way he could explain it without making it all confusing for Raisu. “Mmm. Listen, Raisu.” - he spoke up, his eyes wide open as he fixated his gaze at the crimson haired man. “There isn’t a way that you can force yourself into becoming a Super Saiyan; that’s impossible. And you’ve just proved my point by what you’ve told me so far.” - he said, taking a short break to let Raisu take in all of the information before resuming his speech. “Power won’t come from one’s desires, but from one’s needs. Needs that mostly depend on circumstances, that we can not rule. In a few words, you must feel immense emotions such as rage in a situation where the power will come out by itself. If you force yourself, you won't gain anything aside from a headache.” - he said, gesturing him to come closer but not to strike him.
“Look at me. I didn’t even know what a Super Saiyan was, and honestly, I didn’t even know that this kind of power existed. For me, reaching such heights was impossible, until I snapped in a fight on Vegeta. However, there are people far stronger than me-- and while most of them are friends to me, I can only imagine that there must be just as many powerful evil people out there. And right now, I have no clue how far I can get even as a Super Saiyan… that’s why I think I’ll be training more than ever from now on. I wonder how far my potential can take, many of those people have such an amazing aura that if you compare them to Super Saiyans, we look like mosquitoes.” - he said, letting out a small chuckle. It was true; he had met amazing people such as Beryl and Samba who were times stronger than him in his Super Saiyan form, and to him, the only way to reach them was to keep training. He didn’t know anything about the forms beyond a Super Saiyan; he completely ignored their existence.
His hair turned black once more, no more standing up but reverting to their usual style as the man’s power level decreased-- and quite a lot. The man’s expression was softening, his dark orbs still set on the hybrid as he gave him a friendly smile.
[Current Power Level: 147.283] “I think we can end this here. To be honest, this isn’t even a fight. I want to fight you at your fullest! I’m sure you’ll eventually turn into a Super Saiyan yourself-- I don’t know how, but I'm sure you will. Just, don’t focus too much on that stuff. Instead, you’d catch up with your training regimen! I’ll do the same, see if I can arrange something with my ship.” - said the man, who had turned back to his usual self.

Raisu's Super Saiyan associate had an answer for him, managing to find the time to speak during their battle. There was no way to force the transformation. They had established that before, and if Cornatto kept re-iterating the point, it must be worth noting. All that bothered Raisu was that never before had there been something beyond his reach that he could not attain by trying. Raisu desired that lofty power, but it was not about desire. Need, thought Raisu, the word echoing in his mind over and over like a record on repeat. This need that the power arose from, had Raisu not experienced it? These intense emotions, were they not inside him? Long ago, as a child, Raisu had learned to temper such emotions under the tutoring of Tsu Kini, but they had to remain within him, right? Or had Raisu extinguished that fire long ago?
And the man had a solid point. Rock solid, even. There were people far stronger than either of them! And that was why Raisu had given up all those months ago. Raisu and Cornatto were bugs, floating around the great lamps that were the giant powers of the universe. He was lucky to have risen this far. A frown crossed his face, and the salty tears began to drip down his face in earnest. What the hell kind of point was Cornatto trying to make here?
But as Cornatto dropped out of his Super Saiyan form and a smile crossed his face, Raisu was taken aback. Despite his Super Saiyan powers, Cornatto was still the same old person: his friend. The deep frown on Raisu's face lightened, and the tears stopped. Maybe Cornatto was right. Perhaps it was time to stop chasing power and let it come to him. Perhaps now was not the time to give up. If Cornatto would keep on moving forward, so would Raisu. If Cornatto could keep moving forward in the face of all the monsters in the universe, what was Raisu's excuse?
"Thanks, Cornatto," he said as he offered his full blooded companion a bow, "I... I think I've learned a lot. I'll keep moving forward, even if it hurts, even if I can't become a Super Saiyan."
And with that, Raisu slowly dropped out of the sky and into the warm sand below.

The man couldn’t help but feel somewhat bad for the hybrid; for his tears, as much as he tried to maintain a smile on his face, seeing Raisu cry hit him. He didn’t see that coming; Raisu was one of the strongest people he knew after all. However, anyone could tell how much the crimson haired hybrid cared about this whole Super Saiyan business; maybe Cornatto had been underestimating the matter earlier, but Raisu was deadly serious about it. It could be a good thing just as much as it could be a good thing; it could probably work for one to step up his training. After all, getting stronger was all about surpassing one’s limits and pushing one’s self further. But he didn’t see Raisu’s methods suit the whole process behind the Super Saiyan transformation, or at least that was his opinion on the matter.
However, everything changed the moment Cornatto turned back to normal; with that goofy smile of his that, or so he hoped at least, was supposed to tell Raisu something crucial-- that he wasn’t alone. The pink clothed boy had managed to help the Earthling Saiyan before, in ways that he greatly appreciated, and he was willing to return that favor, not to mention that they were friends. Or to be precise, Raisu was the Saiyan’s first friend-- he couldn’t certainly forget that.
He sighed in relief as he took note of his tears coming to a stop, thankfully it wasn’t going to evolve into something that would have left a bitter taste in Cornatto’s mouth. Not to mention, that Raisu had Saiyan blood within him, and the image of a crying Saiyan-- whether he was a combination of different species or not, didn’t certainly fit the role of a warrior. His smile grew into a smirk as he lifted up a hand, offering him a thumbs up as Raisu thanked Cornatto. “You have nothing to thank me for, you know you can always count on me.” - he replied.
The Earthling Saiyan chuckled, lowering his head as he returned Raisu’s gesture with a bow of his head; he didn’t feel like bowing was necessary at all, but if he remembered right, it was something that his Half-Saiyan companion had been used to from his mentor. His will to follow her teachings was something that the black-haired man respected, however not a characteristic he shared; since he didn't particularly share the ambitions that his parents left him before they died.
Raisu’s last statement left Cornatto perplexed; the half-blooded Saiyan still had negative thoughts apparently, but that was something that the Earthling Saiyan couldn’t help him with such things-- it was something that Raisu had to deal with if he wanted to improve himself. “It’s fine, man. I wish you the best. I’m sure we’ll meet sooner than later-- also, I might drop by your tea shop one of these days. So we can catch up and all of that stuff.” - he said. His gaze lowered, watching Raisu as he lowered himself to the ground and Cornatto himself guessed that it was time to go.
“See you!” - exclaimed the man, waving a hand towards the hybrid before flying away. Now, where was he going again-- ah, right. To see if he could find some book about how he could make those damn plants grow as quick as possible, but Cornatto didn’t care about that anymore as he had one more goal established in his mind; break his limiter and test himself. And just thinking about it excited him.
