[Thread PL: 400 | Nethil’s Blessing active, current PL: 1,600 | Mimikku ] The battle’s smoke and dust was settling as the two female figures stood on a rooftop, left alone after the conclusion of this bloody spectacle. Kori had quite enjoyed spectating and commenting on the fight, but now, more important matters were before her – she just sat back within her own mind and watched as Nethil used her body as a vessel. There was no real other way for a goddess to speak, at least not until their host learned some form of Telepathy… And really, Kori didn’t mind. The noise of the rescue workers starting to clean up the destroyed part of town and evacuating still living, hurt civilians, Nethil did another elegant bow towards the taller, adult Kagami before her. The red eyes of her body shone like beautiful rubies, and if it wasn’t for her aura that felt just as evil as the one from the now-dead demon, she’d appear completely normal, if not even adorable in a way. “It is so good to see that you remember me, dear Lilith. I feared my long, long time away would make my sisters forget – now that just wouldn’t do! You see, being imprisoned on Aridot… It was so, so lonely.” Giving a sad smile, the goddess using the child’s body continued to speak. “You see, I think it happened when those deplorable Saiyans landed on our world… They cracked my prison. Nothing major, of course. Just a tiny crack, way too small for the essence of a goddess to get through… But with an eternity of loneliness, well.” Suddenly turning away from Mimikku, Kori stepped to the edge of the building, looking down – then she turned back towards her fellow Kagami, and her right eye was completely different. A completely black eye with the trademark glowing red iris of the Kagami. Her smile was wide, yet any hint of friendliness was gone from it. “I pushed and squeezed and forced until I was free, a torn, destroyed mess of a being, just so that I could finally die. But then, this girl was born. And she was the first to resonate with me in oh, so long. Tell me, Lilith – did you think you were above the consequences of your actions? Your blasphemy in sealing one of your own…”

The battle was over behind them and the participants either disintegrated or taken away to recouperate. Off of her blade dripped a little of the demon’s blood as she looked directly at Kori. The combined form of the elder Kagami looking toward her not with contempt but a wanting to understand. The elegant bow from her snapped her back to the here and now instead of letting her dwell within her own thoughts.
Reverberating noises from the civilians and military personnel echoed out from far beneath the pair as Mimi’s eyes while curious remained narrowed in distrust. “It is hard to forget the one that they say helped the saiyans come and destroy Aridot. Yet I am not one to judge. I mean I am the goddess who manipulates peoples emotions to my benefits and helps Mimi here kill people for a living. Well used to be a living that is.”
When she mentioned the very topic that she had breached it would of made more sense to Lilith. She of course had only ever heard stories about Nethil so most of her information is second or third hand; elders stories and anecdotal words from goddesses long vanished into the aether of the afterlife. “You say my own actions when it was not directly me. It was a previous incarnation of my soul. You know that we either vanish or reincarnate every time our host dies. When that happens we forget everything that happened in our previous lives but when we join with our hosts those memories return over time. That is how we are supposed to train the host.”
Yet as she spoke her muscles flexed as her hand flexed. Narrowing her eyes even more as she looked right at the child. “Yet here you are so what is it that you want? You want mother dead and destroyed beneath your heel? Am I wrong in my assumptions that you are on yet another incoming tyrant but then again if your views align with mine to try and retake our home planet then perhaps for once we do not need to be enemies.”

"Loss of memory... a convenient excuse, yet a truthful one." speaking with disdain in her voice, Nethil turned fully around to Mimikku again. The small Kagami's body that she was using was still surrounded by a black shroud, like a sickening mist, as the white of her other eye turned black as night as well. This was about as close to her true form as Nethil could get, with Kori's body still being as weak as it was. "Hmph... I find your current self more agreeable than the one I knew, Lilith. Unlike with you, my host didn't die. I was ripped from him, sealed away. Without going through the cycle, my memories of the last cycle are still here, even with me being part of my dear, dear Kori now. She's the greatest partner I've ever had... And some of those legends you have heard, they're ridiculous. Until me and my dear Kori became one, I didn't even know what a Saiyan was - I most certainly didn't lead them to Ardot." How much truth there really was to the words said by the dark goddess was hard to tell, for her tone of voice quickly returned to being friendly and jovial, despite the state that her sealing had left her in. "You'll see once you remember, I'm sure. You two seem to understand the fundamental of the Universe that I once discovered, so I believe that this time, you'll see my side of this story. Just be sure that Mother doesn't realize that you know it, or you'll end up like me - sealed away, demonized. Turned into a terrifying story to scare the children." Shaking her head with an almost sad expression, the black-eyed Kagami shook her head. "I had so much LOVE to share with everyone, yet mother did the unthinkable. I believe if she could have, she'd have killed me for good. What I want is simple, dear sister, dear host of my sibling. I simply want everyone to..." Suddenly, a coughing fit threw the girl to her knees. With strained breath, she looked back up - and her eyes were back to normal, the unnatural glow had disappeared. Her aura still felt dark, but the size shrunk back down to the unassuming level of a Kagami that had yet to truly develop combat power. "Sorry... My body and Nethil's soul are both still too weak. She's asleep now..." Getting back to her feet slightly unsteadily, the twisted girl gave a bright smile to Mimikku. "I hope you're not too mad at her, she's actually pretty nice! She made sure I was no longer a piece of furniture for some Saiyans, because that just wasn't any fun. She's just mad that her sisters refused her revelation about her love. Nethil told me they called her the 'goddess of darkness' for it. Quite mean, really." --- Mimikku | Nethil's Blessing cancelled!

The black shroud was not much against Mimi’s own silvery aura as it protected her from any lashing out that Nethil’s ki pushed out from Kori. “The truth is only that which you personally experience or accept. I accepted what the stories said about you but I know full well that there is always a few rebels within a large family. I swear that the both of us are some of those rebels. Except that you went about things in a different way and I cannot remember my role back then.”
Her words spoken Lilith would shift her footing with Mimikku’s body. Keeping a wary eye on Nethil as she moved around on the rooftop she would listen to how she felt her new body was more agreeable than before. That brought a scoff up from within Mimikku. “Lets just say that things have changed. After surviving inside of the universe and living through what Mimikku has you would be different than a wide eyes idealist that I was once. Having to use my hands to kill another so that Mimi could have another day with the one she loved was a welcome task. So long as my host was happy I could feel that happiness go through me and give me a sense of peace I have never felt before. Then she was betrayed and nearly killed several times. I had to sustain her body and repair the wounds upon her body. Had to give birth to her daughter and keep it all a secret from her til said daughter reappeared within her life recently. As for mother… Lets just say she is inside of a host that is very different than those she has ever had before.”
When she finished talking there would be an instant switch as the coughing fit made her go pushing forward to assist the young girl and her voice instantly changing as she moved in. “I can tell… That is what it is like when one is not perfectly in tune with their goddess… That and they have not trained their bodies to counteract the sudden disappearance of their presence for the split second after the transformation dissipates. As for being upset or angry. Far from it. Despite who she is there is some truths to what she has said and if our people might of listened then maybe they would have been ready for the saiyans instead of being caught completely off guard by them.”
The whole being a piece of furniture for the saiyans hit her closer to home than she cared to admit as some of Emer’s memories surfaced and slapped her in the face. “I know that feeling all to well… Being used by the saiyans for the enjoyment and play. The memories are not my own but of one of the people I hold most dear to me. His memories course through me as he continues to travel the planet. But as I told Nethil that Mimikku has given birth to a half saiyan daughter and we have fought our fair share over the decades of her life.”

"Hah... I was a tool for cleaning and a training dummy. Not many chances for me to prepare my body to be a true host... but I'll change that soon enough, I promised that to Nethil." Kori smiled, despite the obvious pain that she was in. It was as if the state of her own well-being didn't even register for her at all. Being this close to Mimikku, a dark thought crossed her mind - a very dark thought. But without Nethil's support, it would be stupid to attempt - even with her, she probably couldn't do it. Oh well, there would be a chance in the future. This goddess, Lilith, seemed to be more similar to Nethil than first assumed - not much like what the dark goddess remembered, at least that's what she had told her host.
"Nethil's teachings... The Saiyans might've been defeated. But it doesn't matter too much now, because it never happened. Do you two remember her saying...? No, probably not. No matter, we'll show it to you eventually..." Another shudder went through her body, the Blessing had taken a lot out of her just to allow Nethil full, free control over her small body. If she had been here, maybe she would argue to try to teach Mimikku and Lilith right now, like she had insisted with that cashier at the sweets shop - but without the dark goddess, Kori didn't feel the urge to prove her way of life just yet. This was the first time someone ever showed some concern for Kori at all, so that did give the young girl some pause.
"Kagami, do the laundry, Kagami, stand in the way of that Galick Gun and don't die... I suppose its the same for all of our kind? Interesting. I wouldn't have even known that I was a Kagami if my owners had not deigned to simply use that word instead of an actual name for me. Nethil gave me mine when she came to me, I think its nice." Kori was starting to take a real interest in Mimikku now, especially since Nethil had considered her as a potentially useful ally - for a time. Nethil would never consider anyone, most certainly not another goddess, as a true ally, not after what they had done to her. Her universal truth - instead of accepting it, they tried to kill her for it... Which, in a way, she admired, because it had proven that it was a rule not only true for ordinary mortals such as the Kagami and Saiyans. In her time sealed alone, Nethil had realized that it was true for everything - gods and mortals.
Kill or be killed.
"Ah... Nethil told me that the Kagami never knew how to fight properly. I suppose that has changed now, too. Well, no surprise if our blood is mixed with that of Saiyans. They're strong, after all." Nodding in what she thought to understand about Mimikku and her half-breed daughter, she suddenly remembered something that did somewhat interest her. "So how did you get rid of your owner? Knife? Ki blast? Boiling alive? Last one is what I did. That was fun."

“You are lucky that that was all they did to you. You are too young for them to use you in any other ways.. and in order to change that there is a ritual you will have to undertake. One that will hurt worse than any pain that you can imagine. I know only of a few Kagami that can perform it off the homeworld and I don’t know where the one who helped my daughter is.” Mimikku spoke as it seemed that Lilith slipped back inside of her psyche farther as if thinking on things. Leaving her there alone with the other woman as the aura went away as well.
Showing a little bit of fatigue after sing her awakening faded away Mimikku moved to take a seat on an air duct. Shaking her head from side to side. “Her teaching were called heretical back then and even she is barely mentioned nowadays and if not for Lilith and Arlith’s memories within me I would barely know about it. Soemday when we retake our home planet I will have to read on it when I am not busy.”
When Kori began to speak on what the saiyans did and ordered her around it made her sigh and feel bad for her once more. It reminded her of Ruto’s father. As that was how that man was toward her as she was growing up. As Ruto grew she was his training dummy. His sparring partner and if she was not unconscious by the end of the training session Ruto would be beaten. She would fake being knocked out cold from time to time so that he would get credit and well dones and she would awaken a short time later. She would be praised for her toughness from Ruto’s father toward the end of her service to him and before she was given to Ruto. Her face and mood seemingly soured in an instant when she asked about Ruto’s demise. “He was stabbed through the stomach by multiple assailants. They stabbed him multiple multiple times. I got revenge on his killers except one who was his very own brother. But he got what was coming to by my step daughter Ruto’s other daughter…”
Her hand clenched and ki gathered around her hand without a thought as she always was angry about the circumstances of Ruto’s death. Talking about it brought her rage up with relative ease. Flicking her wrist she would have a moment shower of silvery ki as she looked at Kori. “I stabbed, slashed, or seduced and poisoned all of my targets…”

What an intriguing story. Kori sat down on one of the other vents, her short legs dangling freely down, as she kept an eye on Mimikku. Those rituals she mentioned... Nethil scoffed at them, then went back to sleep. Something about the idea of going through them went against what the goddess wanted, so Kori would share that feeling for now. She had no reason to mistrust the goddess of darkness, after all...
"Ah yes, my owner might've tried using me for other things in the future. But I'm quick with a knife, so he would've regretted it."
With an incredibly creepy chuckle, Kori suddenly flicked a knife out of the sleeve of her shirt - the gleaming, sharp metal glowing slightly with Ki for a moment. She was somewhat sad she had not used it to kill her owner, but the other guards had at least gotten a taste of what a quick cut across the throat could do, Ki or not. Using a knife on... other... parts of men would probably be just as unpleasant... Ah, so many missed opportunities, but she'd get new ones in the future. She listened to Mimikku's story with interest, spinning her knife between her fingers playfully. Much like her silvery Ki surrounded her hand, small bits of black, smoke-like Ki sometimes blinked around the knife, though their intensity was way, WAY lower than hers...
"Ah... well, so you really cared about him? Seems like you won't even need to read Nethil's teachings, if they even still exist. No wonder she took an interest in you!" With a giggle, she noted just how strong even that little bit of silver Ki felt. To reach their goal, Kori had to become as strong as that, if not even stronger! Nethil's teachings of true love that could only be expressed by being willing to kill were rather clear on it. If you loved, you should be able to kill for them, because of them, and finally be able to kill them too if required for some reason. Because the stronger could always take what they wanted.
"I need to become a bit more like you, I think. All I can do is stab people, really. Killing in so many different ways - I'm still a novice at that..."

The creepy chuckle that followed the words that she was quick with a knife actually drew a smirk from Mimikku. For her the worst thing that could ever happen to a Kagami was what had occurred to Emer as her relationship was a consensual one compared to that. Mimi knew that was the truth as despite the differences of age there was a bit of a comradarie. “You would then have to run from the authorities but then again it is not that hard to evade the saiyans. Taunt their pride a little and threaten to cut off their tail. Most either run or call your bluff. Then if you fight them just cut off their tail. Most saiyans are powerless after that.”
Watching Kori’s play with the knife was interesting to her. As she remembered those days as she had at one time acted just as she did. Then one day she stopped playing with the knife and learned where and how exactly to use it on people. It was after that when Ruto gave her the blade that she had on her person to this very day. “Who knows as her teachings just sound like the other side of the coin. On Earth they believe in something called Yin and Yang. A good side cannot exist without a little bit of darkness and the darkness cannot exist without any light within it. I and Lilith believe that to be the truth. Ever since we met with Emer we have had to change our perspectives on things. We learned that in order for us to get ahead we will need to push forward and for us to begin gathering people to go and retake Aridot we will need to be the light in the midst of darkness or to have that darkness within our light…”
As she spoke her eyes closed and she took in a deep breath. It would seem that Mimikku had thought about this topic for quite a long time. When she would be mentioning stabbing people and how bad she was at it Mimi sighed. “Learning how to do it and learning how to do it in practice are two different things Kori. Practice is simple as the target are not moving or thinking or defending themselves. In order to learn how to do it that really only thing I could say is to try and create living targets. Be it though using a multi-form technique or going and finding work as a mercenary but that last one might lead to some unforeseen consequences.”

Kori was listening with big, gleaming red eyes. Mimikku really WAS speaking her language! She absorbed every last detail she could - how to escape from Saiyans, how to properly cripple and kill them by abusing their sensitive tails... Ah, this was great. Kori never had a kindred spirit before - mentally, she pushed Mimikku and Lilith further back on the to-kill list that she and Nethil were keeping. Eventually they'd have to face each other down, but until then, Kori would make sure to keep Mimikku on her list of people she LOVED.
"I see, I see... always go for the tail first if it comes down to a fight." Spinning her knife between her fingers, Kori remembered her owner. Yes, that annoying monkey tail... She imagined running her knife down the length of it, splitting it in two, and couldn't help but burst out laughing with delight at the mental image. Yes, she had to try that on some unwitting Saiyan warrior! That would be great fun! Mimikku spoke of light and shadows - she truly was a disciple of Nethil, no matter if she knew it or not. There was a balance to what they did - a balance of power. Those strong decided the rules. So once she was strong, she'd bring back the strife and conflict of the galaxy, and force everyone to keep growing and progressing... Over the carcasses and dead bodies of trillions of life-forms, that didn't matter to the mad duo.
"Retaking Aridot... Sounds like it could be fun, sure. I'm sure a lot of our sisters will be up for that... They're all so drawn to the frozen plains, really quite funny." Suddenly, Nethil spoke again, but went quiet almost immediately, as Kori frowned. "Hey, ask me before you do that! But yes, Nethil is right, that could be fun. This Emer person, he seems important... Is he on Earth too? I'll have to learn a bit of what you mentioned before I meet him, then." With quick fingers, the girl stashed her knife away, causing the black blemishes of evil, dark Ki that were going through it to disappear, the profane bloom being gone as fast as it had arrived.
"Multi-Form... Should be possible. I dunno if mercenary work - or any sort of work - is really for me, though." With a giggle, Kori leaned back on the ventilation shaft she was sitting on. "I don't tend to let people live that tell me what to do. Dunno why, I just don't like em. Maybe I'll hunt some Saiyans once I know the basics! That should be fun too~"

“Frozen or blistering in heat it matters little. It is still our home planet and unless we happen to find another one that the goddesses prefer we will return and reclaim Aridot. Despite the fact that I would prefer to find a planet within the Neutral Space of the Galaxy and just move there but Kami only knows where we could find one that suits our people.” Mimi would answer rather bluntly as she knew about the stories of the home world as she had been brought to Vegeta just after her birth so she had little recollection of the home planet. Literally she had the ritual done upon her when she was but three months old and by the time of her first birthday she was within the household of Ruto’s grandfather and father.
“As for Emer you will have to find him. Mostly because he is off doing whatever it is that he does. Normally does not involve me or any other of the Kagami within his plans. Just happen to coincide with his views for once. I want to reclaim a free place so that Kagami can at least be free enough to not be… injected with Saiyan DNA anymore.” As she spoke about hunting saiyans after learning the basics Mimi froze a little but could not help but shake her head. To her it made little sense to go after the saiyans as for now they had the strength in numbers especially compared to the freed Kagami so having one go around and drop their blade into the chest of a few could not hurt things any.
“I would suggest just being discreet if you do do it. As this planet is currently neutral in its opinion about the plight of the Kagami. That plight is something I am hoping that someone I know could assist me with. I will probably attempt to go and see them soon enough.”

"Ah, don't you worry! I'm very good at not showing what I'm really planning. That's how I killed the other guards at the healing pods I was supposed to protect, you know. They saw me as an object, so I just acted subservient, skittish like a scared cat, and then STAB!" With child-like glee, Kori laughed in her clear, but incredibly cold voice. Oh yes, how the red blood had flown when she stabbed those other guards right between the ribs, in the throat and one right in the heart from behind! Ah, how she loved remembering those kills. But now she had to look forward to more interesting murders.
Her red eyes returned to Mimikku, who seemed very focused on freeing their people. Why? If they were strong, they could just kill the Saiyans themselves. She was strong - in a different way than Mimikku, but she was, because otherwise she would've never escaped. Still, pointing out the folly in helping them might sway Lilith and her host against the pair born of darkness, so they both decided to keep quiet about their disapproval for now. Still, they both also didn't want to get roped into anything regarding trying to free a planet long before they had the strength for it.
"Hm... Well, before we can really decide what to do with Aridot ourselves, we need to grow stronger. Nethil needs her power back, I need to get stronger. So well, frozen plains or burning mountains, we're gonna have to leave Aridot to you. I've never been to the place, Nethil doesn't particularly care to return, so that's gonna be all on you. Especially since many of Nethil's sisters might still hate her, and we'd both rather keep out of those problems for now." Standing back up from the vent she had been sitting on, Kori kept an eye on Mimikku with a cute smile on the small Kagami's face.
"It was really nice to meet you both. I've learned a lot just by talking with you."

“That sounds like a sound plan. A way to make things seem to be going inside of the other persons favor before springing the trap a lot like I have done in the past. Lull them in with sweat words and kind gestures before springing the trap and finishing off your prey. That is the Obsidian way.” Mimi spoke as her eyes seemed to glaze a little bit as if reciting a pledge or oath that was ingrained within her head. It would take her a few moments to slip out of the self imposed thousand yard stare and glanced back over at Kori. It was obvious that she was somewhere else inside the moment.
“And yes I am focused about freeing our people… I want to free them from the yoke they are underneath. Honestly I will not lead them when I take the fight to the saiyans or disrupt their prejudice against us. If I could run into and speak with their queen and convince her to let us go is one way of freeing our people… The other would be to continue to get stronger and try to step up and use the goddess blessing and use it to kill those in charge and those that defy us….A guerilla war I feel is what is slowly to be coming for this. Yet I will need allies even if not on the front lines but those I can count on should I need somewhere to vanish to.” Once more Mimi would go off on a tangent yet there was that underlying darkness to her. An underlying feeling that Mimikku has been hiding within herself all this time to everyone except the man that she had shared memories with.
“Hate is something one can get used to. Being demonized and kicked aside and tossed aside. That in and of itself has to be a bad thing. But we are the oddities of the Kagami. Most of our race never hear the voices of the goddesses and they live their lives only knowing of the what could have been when speaking to their grandparents… if they are lucky enough to know them. As for getting stronger then yes I expect you to get stronger. Most of us that appear on this planet do get stronger over time. Some of us even get stronger and lose the strength before. Usually near death involves close to that.” Mimi’s eyes while looking away from her kept a corner of her eye looking toward her. It was obvious that she was going to be tenuous between herself and others but Mimi knew that there needed to be a focal point for the war. Someone to lead or to take the fall should it fail.
