The wastes of the north were never welcoming, foreboding bone chilling winds would gust and ravage the landscape, which at this time of year was covered in a thin layer of white frost. At the center of it all was a saucer shaped vehicle that had its roof ripped off, littered with wreckage and old space pods long forgotten. Along the ground were several disturbed pockets of uplifted dirt hardened by the cold… mass graves left behind for unsung warriors of the saiyan invasion who had died in battle. It was a solemn place, forgotten now and frozen in time.
Verpa had found little interest in the saiyan’s, they were technologically inferior to even mankind, relying upon copies of the innovations of other species to function in the galaxy. They weren’t particularly of use in his pursuit to find a solution to his diabolical schemes either… but something had drawn him to the site of the saiyan graveyard. Rumors had spread of a creature that had been sighted in the north that matched the description of a rare species of demon, one that had not graced the planet with their presence in quite some time. It was quite possibly a breed of demon from which the Karasu clan learned to manipulate black ki in the distant past, so the prospect of meeting one was very exciting for the wizard.
He had already spent several weeks checking up on the site, hoping that it might attract the creature for his further study. Demonology was a very important part of his work, after all his eternal master was a demonic god. Demons were mythical creatures, each with their own quirks, and he hoped that one day he might find an answer to the riddle that was connecting this world to the beyond.
Verpa stood on the edge of the saiyan graveyard, seeing no apparent signs of life, though many shadows were cast by the winter sun throughout the wreckage. Greeve

Within the shadows of the saiyan graveyard, a small, lean form lurked. At a first glance, one would assume it was just a human, coming to explore the place, but upon closer inspection, there was no doubt there was something very, VERY wrong about this individual. The individual just oozed a coldness that chilled anyone to the bone. Saiyans had always held a bit of interest to the unearthly young man. Maybe it was because of the circumstances of his birth, or maybe it was because they were a race that thrived on war. Thrived on death. It resonated with something deep within the man. So naturally, a place where such a people died in mass was definitely a place to attract him. He didn't really except to accomplish anything in this place, merely just lingering around and soaking up the dreary atmosphere. However, the young man would find more than just an empty, cold field of death today. There was something here. A sign of life? Who could be alive in such a place, out here in the middle of nowhere? He slowly floated through the air towards the life sign, noticing it lingered on the edge of the graveyard. Soon enough, his eyes would fall upon the lone life, a man standing on the edge, looking over the field of death. Floating in the air, the Revanent known as Greeve looked down at the strange man with curious eyes. "A strange place to talk a walk, wouldn't you agree?" he spoke up, his voice soft, and yet there was a distinct coldness to it. Verpa

Verpa lightly grasped and twiddled his fingers against a silver ankh that hung from his neck as he watched the graveyard carefully. A sudden wind caused a blur of frost to distort his vision, ruffling the feathers of his collar and making his skin tingle. When the wind died down, he witnessed a pallid figure emerging from the shadows of the graveyard. He could feel a sudden temperature drop that in combination with the already harsh weather was unsettling even for the northerner warlock who dressed in layers. He inserted his gloved hands into the pockets of his black jacket, which had a deep violet accent running up the hems of the coat. Still, he managed to keep his composure as the creature approached. By the looks of the being, he might have mistaken him for a human if he hadn’t known better. Still, Verpa did not want to make any assumptions about the being, assumptions got warlocks killed. He was lucky that his presence seemed to peak more curiosity up front than anything from the being, who approached him with a simple question.
“I find it to be quite enthralling,” Verpa said, keeping his eyes focused on the wreckage to try and divert some of the curiosity from himself. He didn’t have enough information about this species to know how to properly engage with one, and he had a feeling that an aloof approach would be best fitted. “Many cultures grieve their dead for quite some time, but the mass grave here seems to speak towards efficiency rather than ceremony. Unless of course, the people of the capital did the burials...”
He then looked the demon in the eye finally, his eyes were a deep red that would seem impossible for a human to have, perhaps hinting towards magical alteration or a distant demonic ancestor. He decided to engage the creature a bit further, offering a question to occupy the mind. "What do you think? Was it humanity that was decent enough to bury their enemies in a humane way, or do the saiyan lack ceremonial burial in their culture?"
