perhaps a another type of minion from what bing said, low level minions come back but high levels one need to be revived or be dead forever.

IMHO it should be 1/4 the cost to replace them. Either that or we should add a third class for mooks with free revives but lower power
So it'd be
>Sidekicks: The same old companion who grows at a lesser rate than you do. >Guards: Higher Cost for higher power ideal for folks who don't fight. >Mooks: Cheap, inexpensive, and renewable. You get what you pay for and that's cannon fodder for the leader types.

I love the sound of making guards stronger. (only if I were more active with Moneybags)
Just a thought, but you guys mentioned the nontraditional 'Zeni Route'. I was thinking maybe, for higher tier guards, they're closed off specifically for Zeni Route players. Not 'all' high tier guards, but like to a certain point.
