[/b] ~ Azguard's unusual constitution and natural adaptability afford it the ability to replenish that which is lost and adjust the structural integrity of the azure ooze that encases it. Using some of the Namekian genome, this Bio-Android is capable of the relatively rapid replacement of the Plasm and can even incubate its own Core to heal its wounds in a comparatively short space of time. Similarly, whilst the Core may not possess this aspect, the Plasm can be stretched and shaped with an uncanny elasticity - it is similar to some sort of putty, thus allowing for unconventional physical attacks.NAMElasmic Physiology

PERSONALITY
-~-Though not intended to have such a thing, Azguard did develop a personality all its own. In short, it can be summed up as very curious and inquisitive, to the point where it will actively engulf things just to explore their qualities and garner a better understanding. This also helps in its function; testing out an organism through physical contact also allows it to remove potentially harmful bacteria and such that could cause infection. Aside from its innate curiosity, Azguard is not aggressive towards people in general, though its contact-heavy nature can make it seem otherwise. The only time this is not the case is when it believes an individual to be a source of contamination, in which case it will attempt to engulf and eradicate it, until it can determine otherwise.
Azguard tends to see other people as equals, despite that clearly not being the case, and thus can be considered friendly. Intelligent enough to understand the biological need for bonding, this Bio-Android is also perhaps interested in such a thing, though for sure it fails to express itself in anything less than a rather obsessive, nigh on attention-seeking way; if an individual wants something, Azguard will often try and go out of its way to attain whatever that thing is, even if it does not fully understand the concept. Tradition and such is lost upon it: Biological adaptation and necessity is all that really matters.
APPEARANCE
-~-Azguard is a peculiar entity, to say the least, as its physical form is derided not from anthropomorphism, but from the very cellular structure it replicates. It can be divided into two distinctly separate forms, though both are intrinsically bound to one another to comprise the whole. The first is the Core, the latter the Plasm.
The Core of Azguard is very basic in shape, possessed of a solid mass of pallid grey flesh approximately two feet in length that adopts the silhouette of a maggot or similar larval insect. However, it lacks such actual features as a mouth. All of this creature's vital organs are located within this fleshy main body, the likes of which is devoid of skeletal structure, save for minimal vestiges of what might have been a spine and skull. Azguard lacks any form of eye that could be considered human-like, but instead bears a triplet of glossy black nodules upon its Core, arranged in a downward-pointing triangular formation (though it matters not which way it orientates itself). These organs provide a rudimentary substitute for standard ocular capabilities - each 'eye' detects a particular range of the visible spectrum (green, blue, red) and thus forms pictures and even depth-perception based on that.
The Plasm is a mass of gelatinous matter within which Azguard's Core is suspended. It is an unusual but rather elegant shade of azure, translucent and noticeably suspending not only the Core, but also an array of around a dozen far smaller grey capsules (each is about the size of a Senzu Bean). This amorphous ooze is quite viscous and, through precision manipulation of its constitution, the Bio-Android can shape the matter that surrounds it to accommodate for various changes in circumstance. The standard texture that Azguard adopts is comparable to rubber - tough and springy, but non-adhesive. The Plasm itself is not the flesh and blood of Azguard, but is nonetheless vital to its life cycle. It can steadily secrete fresh Plasm from its Core as necessary, manipulating the slime as it sees fit, but cannot do so if the ooze becomes completely detached from the overall mass. It can, however, recombine with any lost Plasm if allowed to touch it again.
Azguard lacks an overall form. Aside from the stability of its Core, the Plasm which surrounds it can and will alter shape as the entity deems necessary. The Arcosian encoding used within its creation allows it to emulate several different states as it sees fit for purpose, thus providing the usual Bio-Android with an adaptability that many would envy. However, despite this immense range of potential morphs, Azguard seems to show preference for a humanoid stature. A seven foot tall blob with elongated arms that brush the earth and disproportionately stubby legs, with what might be considered one of the most bland examples of a cranium possible, in which it tends to suspend its Core.
HISTORY
-~-Azguard, like many Bio-Androids, began its life cycle as little more than a single-celled organism suspended in a tank of life-giving liquid. The simple scientific idea behind its creation was the development of a substitute immune system - artificially created (but still wholly organic) life forms that could serve the purpose of human leucocytes, platelets and antibodies. Unfortunately, for all the man hours and research data poured into this project, the production of such things was nigh impossible. Scientists simply could not replicate the ideology of an immune system that could act independently of a host body (let alone an efficient one) with current biotechnology. Project Azguard hit a brick wall.
However, science is a tenacious thing - as too are the humans who dedicate themselves to it - and over a period of eighteen long and arduous months, the research and development group responsible for Azguard discovered something interesting. Though Azguard's Core (which they had already incubated at this point) was suspended, alive and well within the sustaining fluid and the tank that held it, it was through the addition of particular xeno-racial genomes that the entity would be truly born. The inclusion of Arcosian and Namekian bio-strains came with prolific effects; the creature known as Azguard showed unusual development signs - physically and mentally.
At first, all the Bio-Android seemed to care about was loosely defined freedom. Bashing itself against the glass of its container did not go down well for the scientists, who had not planned for the Core to do such things. Though based on the underlying standards of the human genome, Azguard lacked any real skeletal structure; that which did exist was vestigial at best - minute and somewhat cartilaginous traces of what might have been a skull and rib cage. It was because of this that the scientists were panic stricken. Their creation was not intended to act in such physical ways. The Core was supposed to be a sort of parent cell for the microscopic product (which was supposed to have been sold at a high price under the market name of Azguard; a medical treatment that protects you from A to Z).
With no precautions placed, and really not wanting their valuable research to go to waste, the scientists broke open the upper portions of the suspension tank. And that was where it all went crazy. Leucocytes and similar cells only really trigger when the body calls for it - they seek out the intrusive organisms or points of risk and thus focus their attentions upon it. For a creature that is basically an enormous white blood cell, such a behaviour was scaled to an extreme, and in a sterile environment the only sources of 'infection' were to be found in the scientists who were allowed within the lab. Nobody had anticipated Azguard's use of the suspending fluid as part of its own body, and so everyone was quite shocked (and in many cases terrified) when the entity quite literally shot up at the ceiling and started zooming around the contained facility.
Luck would have it that none of the staff were actually harmed - those that were attacked were mostly engulfed by the azure ooze that the Core maintained itself within, puppeting the slime to form limbs with which to enact its work. This was the behaviour they had intended, though the creature was clearly not destroying them and recycling their matter as immune systems did. The real issue was that Azguard was a lot larger than they had anticipated; standing the size of a human (Plasm included), the Bio-Android was incapable of any of the finer work they had intended for it. There was no way something like that could be packaged and dispensed in hospital environments.
An elastic polymorphic gel was quite the phenomenon, especially as (on a microscopic scale) such an ooze seemed to possess all manner of immunising traits. But in just a few months time, Azguard developed another desire for freedom; it wanted out of the lab, into the big wide world. Quite simply, it had already partaken of all the cellular life contained within the facility - it had at the very least sampled all of the bacteria, parasites and viruses available to it in its current state. It wanted more. It wanted to be - as the scientists did - as efficient as possible. Strongly believing that this project, by its observed behaviour, was at worst going to hug someone in its slimy grasp (and simultaneously rid them of any lingering infections trying to take hold of them), the scientists decided best to let the Bio-Android go free. Obviously, there were some opposed to the idea, but the majority saw this entity's own instinctual research as an ultimate step towards the future - a future of perfect health for all.

TECHNIQUES
-~-RACIAL TRAITS
Self-Sustainable ~ Thanks in part to the use of an Arcosian genome, and partially to do with its own structure, Azguard can be incredibly durable. It can survive for prolonged periods of time in the vacuum of space, the Plasm coating maintaining the pressures and such that life needs to exist beyond an atmosphere. Furthermore, Azguard can actively adjust its malleability to limited to degrees within a very brief period of time, provided it is aware that it needs to do such a thing. The more fluid nature of the Plasm can become something akin to a tough rubber as and when necessary, though in doing so it tends to limit its own mobility. Further adjustments are possible, but often so extreme as to be hard to replicate consistently.
Rapid Adaptability ~ Azguard's entire instinct is about the ability to evolve and adapt as necessary to overcome all manor of illnesses and injuries and, while still in its earliest days, the Bio-Android a quick learner. With every new encounter, Azguard improves itself, regardless of whether on a large Power Level scale or the much smaller functional scale; each new venture allows it to learn and become better at what it does, much as a human (whose baser genomes were used in its creation) can adapt their skills accordingly.
Absorption ~ A fundamental feature of every Bio-Android, regardless of origin, Azguard can engulf and absorb the biomass and other energies of other organic life in order to develop. Unlike many, it does this primarily on a microscopic scale - bacteria, parasites and viruses - but can also perform the act on a larger scale should it deem an entire life form as a health threat. The process is simple; Azguard envelops the target entirely in its Plasm, then rapidly consumes the matter. Entire bodies seem to turn to nothingness within the ooze in a matter of seconds, though it does take a while for the effect to begin (prey cannot be absorbed until they have been fully engulfed).
