The Hell Games, Round 2! Kizuki TAI Amano Jaku!
The Hell Games, Round 2! Kizuki TAI Amano Jaku!
[ Thread PL: 109,106 ]
The first round of The Hell Games had been completed. Kizuki had been able to successfully defeat Ton Tatsu, though the circumstances led to the Earthling ceasing to exist. Thus were the rules of this tournament. One must kill their opponent, and should that opponent be killed their soul will be wiped away, never to roam the Afterlife or anywhere else again. Kizuki had no time to really ponder this, or the morality of it all. His quest to retain his body led him here, and to complete that quest he had to become the tournament champion, in a sense. Nothing would stand in his way. The other winners of the first round were Shabu Shabu, the abominable snow monster of sorts, the Amazonian Warrior Queen; Mama Eda, and Kizuki's next opponent for the second round, the deadly jester; Amano Jaku.
Kizuki had heard whisperings that the deadly clown was one of the favorites to win this tournament, due to his natural, magical abilities and the power of his staff. This made Kizuki's quest all the more difficult, but he was not afraid of magic users. If he was unable to make it through this tournament, he didn't deserve his body back, or to even exist anymore. Those back in the living world were much more powerful than Kizuki, and probably anyone in this tournament. Though, through observing the other matches he was able to get a handle on who was left. He watched Amano Jaku's match, noting his ability to entrap his opponent in a vortex of some kind, before ripping them apart. That was how he had won his match in the first round, that was what Kizuki would be looking for.
The two fighters would make their way to the large stage, standing on opposite ends. Amano's face in a grim smirk of sorts, glaring confidently at the Saiyajin male across from him. Kizuki's own face was as stern as ever, almost frowning as he bore holes through the jester with his own eyes. He could sense that there wasn't an impressive battle power coming from his opponent, though what he lacked in that department he made up for with deadly magic. Slowly, Kizuki would lower his stance a bit, arms fashioned a bit on the offensive side. His plan right away was to not give this magic user a ton of time to do his worst. The faster Kizuki could get to him, using brute strength and speed, the easier this would be and the sooner the match would be over. Immediately after dropping into his stance, the gong would sound and the Oni would scream out: "HAJIMEEEE!!!!!!" ("BEGIIIIIN!!!!!")
And with that, Kizuki's aura would explode around him, calling upon his full power to get him an advantage in this match from the very start. Gliding towards Amano on his feet, he'd force his ki to push him as fast as possible. Right arm would reer back, cocked and ready to slam directly into the smug, ugly mug of that jester. Baring his teeth and ready to strike, muscles would tense under his skin as that fist flew forward. At the same time, Amano would let out a little "Hmph." sound, tapping the butt of his staff into the floor of the arena. Almost instantly, an energy barrier of sorts, though probably more magic than actual ki energy, would form around him in the shape of a half dome. Kizuki's fist would collide with the barrier, a resounding BOOM heard throughout the arena. The impact of the fist against the barrier caused it to pulsate a bit, but it did not give, break or crack under his power. Amano's defensive technique seemed to work, at least for the time being. It halted Kizuki in his tracks, a bit shocked, and did nothing to actually hurt him. With a wry smile, he'd tap the butt of that staff against the stone, tiled floor again - this time twice in a row, which would give birth to a wave of invisible energy, almost like wind, that would force Kizuki back roughly, tumbling backwards to where he had began the match. With a surprised groan, the Saiyajin would regain his balance, nearly teetering out of bounds. His right foot balanced at the edge of the stage, while his left dangled to the bottomless pit below. He gave the pit a look, a bead of sweat running down the side of his face. A hand would shoot out from the depths, looking like more of a shadow than an actual hand and attempted to take hold of his left ankle. Jumping back, the Saiyajin would land with both feet firmly in the arena, letting out a breath. "Too close.." he would mutter to himself, before turning his attention back to the jester, who didn't move an inch from his spot.
That smug expression was still plastered across his face, and it didn't appear that he had any intention of moving from that spot. With his composure recollected, Kizuki would attempt once more to break through that barrier. Flying off towards Amano, his fist once more slammed into it, but this time followed by his left as well. Alternating strikes, each time his fist slammed against the half-dome, magic barrier, Kizuki would notice the barrier itself just rippling. It felt solid, like a wall. The type of wall that Kizuki's fist and broken down countless times before, but again this would not break. Before Amano could push the Saiyajin away again, Kizuki would send his own body back flipping away, missing the invisible energy that attempted to push him back as the jester slammed his staff into the ground twice again. Landing on his feet, in a somewhat crouched position, Kizuki would offer a bit of a nod. "I guess you're going to stay in there, then." Kizuki would hold out his arms in front of him, palms open and aimed at the hemisphere, both of them beginning to glow a bright blue color as he began to gather ki into them. "Let's see if your little barrier can withstand this!" Before long, several blasts of ki were fired off from his hands, as they began to pump inwards and outwards in succession. The double machine gun fashion in which the blasts were fired caused several explosions as they came in contact with the half dome, to the point where the smoke from each impact began to cover the area around where Amano stood, to the point where it was completely covered from view. The smoke rose up above the arena itself, some of the spectators coughing from the thick, dust cloud approaching them.
With a smirk, Kizuki would end his barrage of ki blasts, lowering his arms to get a better view of his handiwork. As the smoke cleared, his expression would fade, though, seeing that there was no a "moat" around the half-barrier that Amano had put up, the tiled arena floor ruined around it, but everything under that barrier was still in tact, including the deadly jester. With a loud grunt, Kizuki would bark out through gnashed teeth. "Now you're just trying to make a fool out of me!" He had to get that little bastard out from under that barrier somehow. At the moment, there was a bit of a problem in breaking past it. It seemed what was said about this Amano Jaku was right, he was quite the powerful magic user. Even Kizuki's pure blooded Saiyajin power was having a hard time breaking through! He'd glare inside that half dome, Amano leaning on his staff in front of him, with both hands holding firmly onto it. Could he possibly bait this guy into leaving his shelter at all. Lowering himself once again, Kizuki would not take a defensive stance. His lips would contort into a bit of a smirk, beckoning over the jester with his pointer and middle fingers, pressed firmly together. Amano would let out a bit of a laugh at that, one hand coming up to his mouth, laughing into the back of his hand. "Oh-ho-ho! You Saiyajin really are truly something else. I'm not so easy to fall for your tricks and into your web." His voice was a bit soft and condescending, yet polite in a way. Kizuki's smirk would face at that comment. The two of them could not just stand here for the entire match like this, and Kizuki would absolutely lose patience before that was even an option. A bit of a growl would escape him, the jester rolling his eyes a bit with a smirk. "Fine, fine, Saiyajin. I will play along. But just know, I do not have to leave the comfort of my barrier to destroy you! Prepare to fall victim to my latest attack! Hahahaha!" As Amano cackled happily, Kizuki would lift a single brow as he watched the scene before him. Behind the jester, his shadow would begin to shift on its own it appeared. Just what did this maniac have up his sleeve?
Kizuki had heard whisperings that the deadly clown was one of the favorites to win this tournament, due to his natural, magical abilities and the power of his staff. As Amano cackled happily, Kizuki would lift a single brow as he watched the scene before him. Behind the jester, his shadow would begin to shift on its own it appeared. Just what did this maniac have up his sleeve?
Amano's shadow would shift into the shape of an avian creature along the arena floor, before "rising up" from it, becoming three-dimensional in the process. The image itself was of a large bird-like creature, with both arms and wings. Though the creature was only from the abdomen and up, there were no legs or lower-half at all. The bottom part of the body just tailed off and trailed down to the arena floor, where it originated. The beast let out a squawking cry, flapping its enormous wings with ferocity, flexing the talons at the end of its huge arms as well. A new technique, hm? This seemed to be a summoning of sorts. Readying himself, Kizuki would watch as the avian shadow creature rapidly approached him, getting on the defensive immediately, the Saiyajin would begin to duck and dodge those strikes from its talons. Quick movement on his feet would allow Kizuki to work around the arena, blocking blow after blow.
The shadow itself was a bit slow, but Kizuki could feel that this magic summoning was definitely a powerful force. The strikes that had landed against his arms, when blocking, stung enough to let the Saiyajin know this was no simple trick. Attempting to take the offensive, Kizuki would grip one of those talons that came towards him, using it as leverage to push himself upwards, planting both feet firmly under the bottom part of the beast's beak, knocking its head back. Back flipping away after his attack, the shadow phoenix would regain its composure, squawking angrily from being hurt. With a bit of a smirk, Kizuki would look up at his assailant. "Didn't like that too much, eh? Heh." Once again, the Saiyajin would go on the move, this time the beast slamming those talon-like fists towards him, but due to the lack of speed, Kizuki would move from side to side, using his Zanzoken abilities to leave the beast punching nothing but tiled floor. Glancing at Amano, still within his barrier, he noticed that smug look on his face had shifted into a frown. Perhaps he was a bit upset now, too. Perfect. Kizuki needed this little bastard to fall off his game just a bit, then he would be able to take advantage.
The Saiyajin was able to land a few hits in this time around, using his ki to keep his fists at face, or beak, level with the shadow beast, throwing continuous rights and lefts to drive the beast back on its "heels." The question was, would this do anything to Amano himself? The key to winning was KILLING the jester, not wasting his energy on this shadow technique. A ping of frustration built up within him, but before he could land another big fist to the bird's face, he found himself paralyzed, as if being restrained by something in mid air. He felt his reered fist being pulled down to his side, along with his other arm, and legs tightly together. It was as if he was being tied up. With a groan, he'd struggle to move his head, but eventually would glare downwards towards Amano, who was holding his staff up higher, the eyes glowing red on the bird-like creature carved at the end of the staff. That seemed to be what was holding him back. He also would notice the jester looking a bit fatigued, but before he could look too much into it, he'd have the wind punched out of him by the fist of that shadow phoenix, sending a stiff punch into his midsection, the booming sound echoing throughout the arena. Saliva spurted forth from his mouth, groaning loudly before several follow up punches were thrown in the same spot, using Kizuki as a punching bag it seemed. The punches were wearing him down for sure, his one open eye peering into that barrier still, watching Amano closely with each punch the shadow beast threw. It was almost as if his own body was being used for the beast's actions, as if his own energy, from within himself, was being poured into this beast. In some ways, it was the same principle with ki. Growling loudly, Kizuki knew that the only way he was going to get through this was to break free from his restraints and handle this shadow beast properly.
After a few more punches, he'd notice Amano beginning to slip up on his grip on that staff, and it was then that Kizuki would eventually begin to be able to wrench his arms free a bit from the invisible chains that bound him. Ki began to materialize as sparks around his body, doing his best to withstand the many punches the avian shadow beast through at him long enough to let his power explode. With a might roar, his ki would flare up around his body once again in the form of a bright blue aura, knocking the shadow beast back some, and in the process knocking Amano back a bit, forcing him to lose grip on his staff, even dropping it in the process. The barrier, as well, began to drop as well until the half-sphere force around Amano Jaku was no more, and he was left wide open. Continuing to pool his ki out of his body, Kizuki would lower his arms down to his sides, bent at the elbows as two orbs of ki began to pool and spark to life within his palms. Gritting his teeth, coal, black eyes would burn a hole into the phoenix shadow beast, before his arms were thrown up in front of him, slamming together at the wrist to combine both orbs of ki into one giant one. "TODOME DA!" ("THIS IS THE FINAL BLOW!") With another mighty roar, the orb would grow larger in size, crackling with energy the more he was able to charge it. "KURAE!!! ("EAT THIS!") KYUKYOKU! ("ULTIMATE!") DESTRUCTION! CANNON!" A last mighty battle cry would erupt from his lips, before a large beam of ki ripped forth from the energy sphere within his palms, essentially sending a way of energy right into the shadow beast. This was Kizuki's strongest attack, and charged at full power, big enough in size to nearly completely overtake the shadow phoenix, though valiantly it tried to push back against the attack before being engulfed by it, and sending it dissolving like smoke in the air before Amano's shadow turned back to normal, on the tiled arena floor behind him as he feebly crawled on the ground to take control of his staff again.
Just as he grabbed at the staff, Kizuki's booted foot would come down on his hand, sending a crunching noise throughout the arena and a howl of pain from the magic user. In vain, he'd try to pry his hand out from under Kizuki's foot, even using his other to try to lift Kizuki's left upwards, but it was of no use. He was too weak, Kizuki was too strong. Pathetically, Amano would look back up at Kizuki, near tears in his eyes. "P-Please.. Please, I beg you.. I.. I.. GRRKK!" were Amano's last words as his body tumbled to the ground, a hole had formed at his forehead, smoking as if he was shot by something. Kizuki's pointer finger on his right hand was also smoking. The Saiyajin had fired a single beam of ki at his opponent, and in one clean shot had killed the jester. His foot would come off from Amano's broken hand, as he would casually cross his arms over his chest, and begin his decent down to the waiting area as the Oni announced Kizuki was the winner. Amano's corpse was fed to the endless pit by some Oni workers in the arena.
Mama Eda would be fighting next, against Shabu Shabu! The last Amazonian Warrior Queen would actually come out on top against the behemoth of a monster. Her own strength matching that of the beast easily, as one could tell by her physical appearance alone. Finally, the finals were ready to begin. Though, a look of concern came over Mama's face, she would not allow herself to be a pushover to this Saiyajin.
