Thread pl: 10,900 | Heavy Weight on, 2,725 | Gravity 2/2
The gravity chamber hummed to life around her and she sized up her opponent. Kaito, the blonde human she was slowly getting to know during their time working under Beryl Roarke together, and she got to face him this time. He easily had the height and weight advantage, but she was used to that by now. As one of the weakest members on the team, she had to train twice as hard as everyone else. Setting it for twenty, she heard the room seal and the weight of it dragged her down. “You ready?” she asked curiously, not feeling particularly ready, herself. Her faith in herself shaken recently, she hoped that by this training, she could become better, stronger, faster. Physical feats never were her strongest suit. Her programming leant itself to things like engineering, dancing, singing, acting - and, yes, some degree of physical ability she never quite learned to master. But Hannibelle Evensong was more than just the sum of her parts, and she was here to prove it.
Blegh opener but...it’ll do. Kaito

[Heavy Weights ON: Weighted PL - 10992. Gravity thread 2/2]
Kaito finished up eating his lunch and cracked a friendly smile to the robot who was doing the dishes. He wasn't used to having this much technology around him for the longest time. However, slowly day by day, Kaito was getting this distinct feel that the Galactic Patrol ship was going to be his home, and the members his family. Recently the blonde human was very active physically. You could feel the vivid atmosphere that every Galactic Patrol member had around their auras; each one of them was hungry for power. If you would slack off on your training and duties, then you might as well be a failure of a space police. Kaito and everyone inside the ship had to make sure that didn't happen, they now carried greater responsibilities on their shoulders.
The human walked out of the kitchen and was strolling through the corridors while whistling a melodious tone. He had that carefree look in his eyes as he greeted each one individual he'd come across, generously giving them his bright smile. He turned left and was approaching the gravity training room; he had made an arrangement with his bio-android friend Belle to train with each other. The human would happily nod at her request before she'd tell him the exact time they'd meet in the chamber. She also mentioned that the gravity would be more concentrated, and for this reason, Kaito would be the perfect choice to keep the flow going.
Kaito entered the chamber, immediately noticing Belle in there. "Sorry if I made you wait!" Said Kaito while loosely waving his hand to greet her. The blondie was vested in his usual sleeveless red Gi, with the Galactic Patrol emblem glued on his heart's side. He had also put his heavyweights clothes under his red garb. Although he had tied his medium long hair into a ponytail, but that wouldn't be enough for his bangs not to fall over his eyes. To prevent that, Kaito had tied a red headband tightly around his forehead. Kaito noted her battle stance and that she was ready for the training to start. Nevertheless, she still had a doubtful stare in those green eyes of her. Kaito smiled faintly at his friends' resolve, trying to encourage her even more.
"Charge at me with all you got! Don't make the mistake to hold back, I will make sure to tank all those strikes by myself!"
The human, of course, wouldn't let every fist of her touch him; she could pack a punch for sure. Kaito spread his legs apart, while putting his right arm forward and the left one inward. He grasped them in a fist and allowed Belle to have the first move by signaling her with his index finger.

As Kaito came in she smiled at him, still feeling more than a little like she didn't quite fit in. Nearly everyone here was stronger than her, packed more of a punch than she did, and they all knew how to fight better than she did. Why Roarke let her in was beyond her, and she just nodded towards Kaito, swallowing hard past the sudden lump in her throat. The memory of being thrown across a room stayed with her from that first spar with their leader. As he motioned his finger for her to go first, she smiled, recalling how Beryl had struck first and without warning that last time. No, Kaito was prepared for her to go first and she shifted in her stance, her dancer’s body moving like it knew how. Her reflexes, her speed, those she knew how to use but not as effectively as possible in battle.
She shook her head, the swish of her ponytail tickling the back of her neck, and hoped he’d lower his power level to match hers. The last thing she needed was the be curb stomped right off the bat. Instead of attacking, she watched his movements, the way his body swayed - in a way it wasn’t that different from freestyle dancing with a partner. Watch where they step, which direction their body leans in. The slightest hint misinterpreted could mean the difference between a standing ovation of falling face first on the floor.
For now, she wanted to play the defense game because she was bad at it and knew it. Looking up at Kaito, she focused on his shoulders and then back down to his feet, keeping their whereabouts in her vision. In like, people faced a huge assortment of fads, advice, hatred and love, successes and failures - all those were supposed to help propel you towards greatness or, if you handled them poorly, utter destruction. Belle was determined to learn from her mistakes for good. Moving a little closer, she just shook her head again.

Kaito confronted Belle and tried to encourage her with his best words to bring out her best in her, but the bio-android remained static. Kaito maintained his battle stance for a few more seconds till the greater gravity struck in. Kaito had little to no experience with dealing with this particular situation. The last time he was in a gravity chamber, the weakest mode of the increased gravity would put the blondie through some struggles; this was twice as great. The human was pinned on the ground, his muscular arms propping on the white tiled floor. "Hahh... Looks like my body is not familiar with this yet..." Kaito tittered. He allowed the gravity to completely shut him in before he'd flare his white shiny aura and being able to stand up on his feet again. The sudden gravity increment had forced the blondie to use a small portion of his weighted power to be able to cope with these harsh conditions. Kaito's would eventually get used to it as time progressed, and his smile on his face appeared. The white spiky aura of Kaito brightened the whole chamber. The human noticed Belle's insecurity which had struck her expressions and hesitations. What was keeping her from attacking? Kaito thought he'd already allowed her to go first. Maybe she was getting paranoid over the fact she was weaker than Kaito? The blondie shook his head in discomfort. She reminded him exactly of how he was in the past. Those little fears and doubts you had in your mind would later become so huge you won't be able to tame then anymore, and you will eventually get devoured by their wicked might and maybe permanently take you out of the game. Kaito was pretty lucky to have evaded this situation. He insisted that this problem should be taken care of. The brief visit in his hometown had helped him to overcome his fears. However, Kaito wasn't going to let Belle's potential go wasted solely for this. He sighed and with an unexpected clap of his hands, Kaito's aura drastically decreased in size and density; he had lowered his power level so it matched with Belle's. "Here you go. But this won't help you getting more comfortable and successful in the future. To me, it looks like you have an inferiority complex. My simple advice for you to set yourself free of those demons is to believe in your skills and specialties... Beryl didn't invite you in the Galactic Patrol for nothing."The human repeatedly eyed Belle as he said that. If she wasn't going to attack him first, then he was. Kaito inhaled and exhaled for exactly three times to get into the right mood; he was going to engage in a fight. He yanked his body in a sudden movement and lunged toward the bio-android. As the human was rapidly approaching Belle, his right leg was raised at its peak, then he'd brutally thrust it down at Belle, aimed somewhere around her upper area of her skull. Should the kick be successful, it would deal some severe damage which might even take her out of the fight. ------------------------------------ Ki set to 2,725

Having tested out the chamber a little bit earlier, her body began to adjust, although she could feel the weight of it pulling her down. Refusing to literally bend to its will, she asserted her own, making sure to control every motion her body made. Not being in control was one of the ew things that truly terrified her, which only made what Roarke did to her that day ten times worse. Years of moving on the dance floor taught her to keep at it, to read a body better than she could a book, and after her defeat at Beryl’s hands she was beginning to recognize that as a real potential skill the might be useful in combat. Odds were she’d get her ass handed to her, but in the meantime she wanted to test out this new theory. Belle was glad Kaito was her sparring partner, he was kind and smart, funny and good natured which she appreciated in a person. But she wasn’t there to appreciate any of that now, only to learn to fight. When he lowered his power to match hers she smiled and said, “ And they say chivalry is dead.” It reminded her of how Beryl, despite claiming he didn’t go easy on her, had done just that by lowering his own potential in their fight. The advice was solid, insightful, but feeling inferior wasn’t her only motivation for waiting or wanting him to make the first move. Instead of answering verbally, she just shifted her stance and gave him a nod as if to say she understood. She did, but the only way to get past any fear, for Belle, was to confront it head on. When he ran at her she shifted low, stand wide to help her joints move better. She’d performed under so many different conditions, on so many different planets, this didn’t feel as weird as she thought it might. The way his left leg bent told her he was shifting his weight to it and then the right one lifted, aimed to strike a blow to her head that would have knocked her out right then and there, most likely. Those green eyes narrowed but by the time he started lowering his leg she was already on the move. Ducking down, his foot passed inches over the top of her head and she shifted left. One hand went out to catch herself and Belle aimed her own left leg right between his, foot aiming to connect at the very wide open goal post. Kaito

Kaito's ears twitched at what Belle said, as he was getting ready to lunge forward. Not really putting much importance on it, Kaito got ready for action. Bumping his heavy footsteps onto the white tiled floor, the human dashed forward and tried to smash the bio-android with a solid kick above her head. The blondie noticed her switching to her desired stance; legs wide and crouched a little bit. The human made sure that he didn't put that much power into his strike after having a vague idea that Belle might be preparing for some sort of move. Regardless Kaito thrust his heel down, expectedly waiting on Belle's actions. The bio-android hadn't shown any impressive speed feat up to this point, leaving Kaito in awe when she evaded the kick. It was a close call though as few cotton-candy strands dropped on the floor due to the cutting wind produced by the boot.
Belle then had the upper advantage; she had Kaito all open. The human scowled as he was retracting his leg, but the pivot foot was already hit by a tackle by Belle. It wasn't very strong, but it disturbed the human's balance so much that he was actually dropping on the ground. Regardless, Kaito wasn't the one to be taken down this easy. The guy had, at least, some decent amount of experience in combat, and this situation could be evaded if you'd put some effort on it. Although Belle had managed to use her leg to her advantage, that very leg would be a great con too. Belle succeeded to take down both of Kaito's legs, but he had his arms still in function. As he was falling, he tamped his dominant arm down to Belle's stretched leg. Should this succeed, Kaito had already secured a counter attack. The human acquired his balance again and landed safely on the floor, his palm still wrapped around tightly around Belle's shin. With a simple lift of his arm, Kaito would hurl the bio-android against the wall, and fired a barrage of Ki blasts towards her very location. The human exhaled in relief, slightly smiling at how well the bio-android had reacted. With his arms pressed against his hips, he waited for Belle's response.
"That was thrilling."

Belle lunged into the tackle, and then let out a grunt as Kaito easily flipped their position by grabbing her leg. As he tried to throw her she sucked in a breath, her own hands gripping his leg so they’d both tumble to the ground instead. Beryl threw her once and she never wanted to experience that again, if she could help it. Something tore in her leg from the strain of the fight, of not being thrown when he’d put all his might into it, and she cried out before letting go and falling in a heap at his feet. And then the barrage of Ki Blasts hit and she took the first few silently, stoically, she’d only once screamed in a fight and didn’t want to repeat that particular humiliation. “Son of a…” she breathed more than spoke, rolling and getting back into a standing position, leaning more of her weight on her good leg.
A small smile, and she nodded in his direction, not sure if he was being sarcastic or not from his tone. Gravity training, she decided, was far from her favorite thing in the world. Leaning in she honestly wasn’t sure how much longer she could drag this fight on, feeling the weight of the room start to drag her down once again. Belle swept in fast, aiming a right hook to Kaito’s face which she’d follow with a jab to the stomach from her other hand. -- TWC: 1195
