Thread PL: 262,300 Kaula glanced up to the dark night sky as she reached up to her head. She lightly gripped onto her goggle's bridge with a single hand, pulling them down onto her face. She had felt the fight going on elsewhere. It was hard not to sense two intergallactic powers that were so immensely strong that they dwarfed the small Saiyaness. Though, she had only sensed one at the end. One had died. The girl frowned lightly as she reached up, rubbing her hands through her hair nervously for a few moments as she weighed her options. She could leave. If the one alive was, in fact, Queen Zucceta.. There'd be no knowing if she was still pissed at Kaula. Though, to be fair, the half Saiyaness had managed to save the planet from the giant tree. That would count for something, right? she thought. I mean, there was that giant tree that wanted to blow the place up since Zucceta was away on her littler gardening expedition. I didn't have to do anything, but I still did. If it weren't for me, he probably would have done it, too.Kaula continued to think as she idly began to pace back and forth slowly. Her hands came to behind her back, holding them there as she continued to think. The girl was in her normal battle dress armor, her magical sword strapped on her back as she tried to think. "I'll stay." she said eventually. Though that did bring up an interesting thought. What about the lizard girl? What's to say that.. Bing actually is dead? What would stopped Maeve from trying to do the same thing Walker tried to do?? She wouldn't be able to just let her leave, especially if the queen is on the planet.Kaula let out a worry some hmm as she continued to pace upon the red plateau. Her power level was it's untethered full strength, meaning anyone who sensed someone that strong, be it through ki or scouter, could come and check it out if they so wished.

"You felt it too..." The voice of the young demoness Maeve spoke out to the conflicted hybrid as she slowly faded into existence behind her. Though her voice was cool and calm if Kaula looked back she'd see that Maeve was anything but. She had golden eyes stained red from tears, her body was trembling, her shoulders were slumped, she looked broken and feeble. It was is if part of her had been crushed and she couldn't hold herself up anymore because of it. The demon that Kaula feared would try to lash out against the planet with rage was nothing but a weeping girl who just lost something precious to her.
This wasn't the look of someone who just lost a comrade... Or a friend...
It was something more.
"I...I can't feel energy, like you... I have no way to know what happened but... I know..." Maeve stammered, her front breaking as she looked to the ground. She nervously clasped her hands together, slowly rubbing clawed fingers over the back of one of them.
"It was Zucceta wasn't it?" She asked her voice cracking lightly. "She...She killed..." She couldn't finish the sentence. She couldn't muster the courage to face the truth.
"...He's gone."

Kaula glanced back at the demoness as she had appeared. Kaula paused for a few moments to take in the full view of her. She started to frown a little bit as she turned away. The sight of her made the Saiyaness almost feel a little uneasy. Still, she took in the words, breathing deeply as she nodded a few times, "I know there was fighting. I.. Can't feel their ki. Not as well as Bing himself. Or Reikiko for that matter. I have a hard time. I know Zucceta was on that planet. I know Bing headed for it. I know they got.. Immensely stronger. Stronger than me, for a moment. And one of them died." she stated. She let go of her hands, letting them fall to her side as she turned around to face the Demon girl once more.
Kaula took two swift steps forward, her hand reaching up to rest itself on her shoulder, "But your words.. Confirmed it, I suppose." she stated as she glanced at her. "I know you probably won't listen to my words, but don't do something stupid." Kaula stated bluntly. "He wouldn't want you to die doing something stupid. You aren't that strong. Go back to Earth. Train. Unlike Walker, if you try something here - while Queen Zucceta.. Or Habana.. Are here.. I don't think I can tell you to just go home."
Kaula frowned. It was weird, speaking rationally like this. She didn't like it too much, but what she didn't like more was the fact someone who she considered to be a rival would likely end up dead. "I see you are in.. A.. Lot of pain. Stuff like this isn't my strong suit. But if you want to talk.. I will listen."

"Kaula..." Maeve spoke softly, tears falling freely as she trembled under her palm. "He...We..." She bit her lip as she avoided looking the slightly awkward 'saiyan princess' in the eye. She moved to clutch the girl's hand on her shoulder revealing the faded image of some sort of tattoo that was etched on the back of her hand. "We were to be one...He promised to give everything to me and I to him... We were to be betrothed..." She revealed showing the girl who she dubbed as her rival the rawest and most emotional truth about her...
Her love for the guardian.
"This mark... Was meant to connect us! It's a rune that means unity, it was supposed to be our unbreakable bond..." She explained, rage swelling in her heart as she stared at it. "Zucceta broke it though...She broke us both..." With that Maeve would take her hand and move it away. She turned her back to her and took two steps away to distance herself from her. The demoness clutched herself as she battled with her own thoughts.
"So when you tell me not to do something stupid... To just go home... I feel like...Like..." She looked up, her eyes blurring from the tears as she tried to come up with the words. "...Like I have nothing to live for. Like there's no reason to go back... I feel empty... Cold..."
"Afraid..."
She looked back down with a droop of her headfins. She began rubbing her arms lightly as if she were making sure she was still physically put together. Everything felt like it was falling apart.
"B-But I would never do what Walker tried... I won't be the monster your realm expects me to be!" She shouted, the image of her father flashing before her eyes in that instant.
"How could I ever be so heartless as to make everyone feel this pain." She looked back to her, the images of Habana, Etoru, Radasha, Pieter, Zerori, and Toma standing at her side. They were all smiling, she couldn't bare to imagine what they might look like if the world they were tied to had been destroyed.
"Your people aren't all evil... They're different... But not evil... I know what that's like..."
She paused before looking away, and cupping her hands in her face. Her mixture of emotion tearing her in every direction.
"But I don't know... What am I supposed to do? Can I really just leave?! Is it really that simple?!" She was trembling, if she could curl up into a ball she would have, it was a pitiful sight. The once proud demoness was reduced to such a pathetic state.

Kaula just gazed at the demoness from beneath the green lenses of her goggles. She silently listened. They were.. To be one? They were together, then. Like Kaula was with Rei. Like she is with Letu. She brought her free hand up to pull the goggles from her eyes to glance at Maeve with her own eyes - not shielded by the scouter goggles.
She took in a deep breath through her nose as she tried to think, "Might be a bit hard to believe.. But I, too, am afraid." Kaula said with a slow nod, her hands placing themselves on her hips after her rival had moved away, "Emotions are high right now. You have every right to be sad.. Angry.. Scared.. Whatever, you know?" she said, glancing at her.
Maeve said she wasn't going to try something like Walker did. But, from what she knew about the swordswoman, planetary destruction wasn't really something she does. She was a more of a one on one battle type person. And Kaula was a little bit afraid she might do something like that.
"Yes." she stated as she took in a breath, "You leave. Now." the Saiyaness said in a stern tone. "I know you aren't happy right now. But you need to know a few things. There have been people who.. Died before. That blue-haired fool in the Blue Banner Army. He claimed he had come back from the dead, from what I understand. I didn't believe it myself until I saw the Saiyan known as Athren back on Earth. The first Super Saiyan. The one Reikiko had killed." she stated as she rolled her shoulders lightly.
"What I am saying is, if those total chumps could come back to life.. Then we'll be seeing Bing again real soon. There's no way he'd be outclassed by some total losers like that. So what you do is you go home. You wait for him. You get strong to protect the Earth in his - and my stead. Sure, the blue bot is strong. But he was only a fourth of it's fighting force if you include myself, Reikiko, and Bing. The Earth is going to need you to protect it. So don't try to die here."
There was a pause before Kaula heard those three words. Words spoken by a familiar voice. She turned for a second to see the semi-transparent bio android standing near her, and little did she know but only she could see her. It was a form she hadn't seen.. For a long time. But she had recognized it. Kaula paused for a few seconds. She opened her mouth briefly before she shut it tight. She was confused, to say the least. Was this her imagination? She closed her eyes for a moment, it must be these emotions getting to her. "Look. You both were.. Together. I mean.. If something happened to Reikiko. If something killed her, I'd probably be in your position right now. But you're just.. You're not strong enough to fight the queen, Maeve. Please. Just.. Trust me on this. Bing wouldn't have wanted you to die just throwing yourself at her."

Maeve stood there to reflected on everything Kaula had said. She remained silent and didn't really do anything as she tried to gather her thoughts. Everything in that moment was still and quiet, save for the dull rumble of thunder that began to echo around them. The clouds had begun to gather to set the tone for their confrontation. The air was as heavy and tense as the brewing storm above them. The demoness looked up slowly as the rain began to fall slowly, a few drops hit her face and mixed with her tears.
"Kaula..."
She turned around as she suddenly drew her mighty cleaver and pointed it towards the saiyan hybrid. She looked at her with golden eyes that burned with intensity as the first lighting bolt cracked down in the distance. "I have no intention of dying here..." She said, without lowering the blade. Despite seeming like she was agreeing with the girl's suggestion her fierce gaze never faltered for an instant. "But... I refuse to accept that I am helpless. I know I can make a difference and..." She looked down, closing her eyes as if she were reluctant to continue.
"...I won't leave without trying to prove myself to you."
She lowered into her stance as more lightning cracked the sky with a thunderous roar. "I lost Bing because I didn't follow him... If it hadn't been for my inaction I could have saved him... Just as he saved me." A twinge of pain slipped into her tone as her blade trembled for an instant. She grit her teeth, her dark aura starting to pool around her form as she began to focus her ki "You are among the strongest fighters I've ever known Kaula. If I can beat you...I'll know I'm not completely helpless. If I win, you go back to Earth and warn the others and I'll face Zucceta. If I lose I'll do as you say and leave." She proposed before shifting into a more confident stance.
"I need this chance to face Zucceta! If you really think that I can't prove me wrong!" She let out a fearsome roar to rival the lightning as her aura exploded around her.

Kaula took her eyes off the transparent Reikiko for a moment to glance back to the demoness as she spoke. A hand came up, feeling a few droplets of rain fall onto her gloves before she brought it back down to her side. She stared at the blade for a few seconds as she sighed out, "You're dead set on doing this, aren't you?" the Saiyaness asked as she smirked a little bit. That's as the voice began to pick up again. Kaula glanced back at the translucent Reikiko as she.. Still seemed to be there. It was a shame only Kaula could see her. The Saiyaness took a second to glance to her, "Can you see that?" she asked as she turned her head for a moment in the middle of the serious fight. "I didn't say killed. I said if you were killed. Big difference. And how was I supposed to go searching for you! This was the second time you ran off without telling me anything!" the Saiyaness said as she threw her arms up. A hand came up to her goggles, pulling them back over her eyes as she got a readout on Maeve's power level. Roughly one hundred and thirty thousand. Roughly half of her own poer level. Kaula smirked for a moment, "And before I start this, Reikiko. If that.. Really is you talking to me. I just want you to know that I'm not dating Maeve here. I was talking to her. Or are you going to get mad that I talk to people when you're not here?" kaula asked as she rushed forward! She didn't bother to draw her sword. She charged at Maeve, full speed ahead. Though, upon getting close, the Saiyaness lept into the air. Still, while she was physically fighting with Maeve, seemed she was having a verbal fight with an unseen person, "I COULDN'T forget you!" the girl said as she extended her heel outwards as she came down near Maeve, "I wanted to! You know how much you hurt me! RUNNING OFF LIKE THAT! No warning! Just.. Leaving me! AGAIN! Of course I had to find comfort somehow- with someone else! And don't come here! Last time you did, you ended up running off! Besides, I doubt Queenie would like your presence here. We can meet up elsewhere!"

Maeve snarled as she pulled up her cleaver while bracing the broadside of it with her hand to block against Kaula's kick. The sound of clashing metal was silenced by a deafening clap of thunder that echoed out around them while a bolt of lightning illuminated the point of contact between the two warriors. Maeve yelled out as she pulled back from Kaula's foot with a pulse of ki. So far, it felt like she was no better than she was the last time she challenged the girl. She could easily feel the difference in their power but it wasn't enough to deter her. In fact it pushed her further. "DON'T IGNORE ME! DAMMIT!" Maeve shouted as she ran towards the saiyaness with her sword drawn. The dragoness moved so fast that she could actually see the tip of her blade splitting raindrops before they hit the ground. She'd get to a point where she was within swinging distance of the girl before suddenly fading out of existence. She'd reappear high above her seconds later with her cleaver held high. "I've gotten stronger since last time! YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO NOT PAY ATTENTION!" A lightning bolt struck down and crashed against her demonic blade: coating it in electricity right before she made her descent towards the princess. "EARTH RUMBLING DECAPITATION!" Maeve roared as she slammed towards Kaula like a crack of lightning. She'd attempt to slam down against the girls back using the momentum of the fall to increase the power of her swing. She struck with enough force that if Kaula dodged the electric blade would explode the rocky ground beneath them sending stones flying in every direction. She wasn't playing around, she wanted Kaula to treat her seriously. Though she couldn't help but wonder if she was using this as an excuse to take her furious rage out upon someone.

Kaula let out a soft huff as she landed on the ground. A small dent left in the ground where her heel impacted with the ground. She moved to roll her shoulders a little bit. "Really? It was the looks people gave us? You think I give a damn what other people think about us?" Kaula asked the person she had been having a telepathic call with. Of course, her train of thought was distracted as Maeve charged forward with the blade. A smirk appeared on the pointed eared Saiyaness's face as she shifted her right foot back, taking up a defensive stance. She raised her left hand up, her green ki engulfed her hand before it resembled a crude blade. "Can't you see I'm in the middle of a.." she paused, looking to Reikiko for a second, "Guessing this isn't a scouter call.. It's something telepathy, right? Why didn't you use this when you ran off!?" Kaula said before turning her attention back to Maeve right as she was approaching.. Only to disappear. First place Kaula looked was up. Why? Because she just did this move on Maeve. And, if memory served her right, she did it to her when they first fought before. Wow. Lightening sword. Kaula couldn't help but actually be a little bit jealous. She started to wonder if it was magic or just perfect timing that allowed the demoness to do that as she brought her left hand up, simply parrying the blade with her ki as the half blooded Saiyaness used Maeve's own momentum against her while her right hand came up to simply deliver an open palm slam to her face, planning on launching her back with it. "COME ON!" she shouted, "I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU WERE STRONGER! You think you can take on the queen with that!?" she said before she took a few steps back. The Saiyaness took a second to adjust her armor as she looked back to her translucent mentor. "Geeze Rei. I fucking love you too. I miss you a lot. I also miss Letu a lot. We can meet up elsewhere, I promise. Just, you know. Let me make sure my mother is okay first! She seemed a bit rattled up from when, you know, her home planet almost blew up." she said as her ki blade dissipated. She stuck her hands on her hips, sighing out loudly. "I mean.. We're talking now, at least. That's something. And now I know you can do this, so you better not run off again without a word. Or else." She took a moment to glance back towards Maeve, "Sorry, by the way. This is a little bit important. But it doesn't seem like it'll get too in the way of my fighting. Didn't seem like you improved too much, lizard girl."

Maeve's growl grew into a yell at the almost playful little swat as she withdrew her blade and took a step back. "I have gotten stronger damn you! If you would shut up and take me seriously for a moment you'd see that!!!" Maeve snarled as she ignited her demonic aura to the first stage. Sparks of black and red lightning would course around her form as she activated the power she had been gifted with as an heiress of the Rakshasa Clan. She lowered her stance as a pale light began to emit from her eyes. "I am the strongest Demon in the mortal realm! I am the only warrior competent enough with a sword to match you! I was placed second in command of the Zetto Senshi! I deserve at least your full attention!" Maeve glowered as she launched forward with her new found burst of strength. Though she seemed enraged like some kind of beast, Kaula might be able to see her bitter tears mixing with the rain... As the lightning flashed, Maeve's vision distorted and standing before her was not the cock-sure saiyan princess but the queen herself. Lady Death. "Give in to your anger. Hate me. Curse me." She could hear her voice like a whisper scratching at the back of her ear. As the lightning struck around them she could see distorted images of the queen laughing at her. "SHUT UP!!!" Maeve shouted causing the visions to fade leaving the visage of her rival before her. "Take this!" Maeve snarled as she stopped on a dime and shifted her momentum before she attempted to crash her heavy cleaver against the hybrid's armored back with the full brunt of her weight and power. She wanted the girl to stumble under the weight of her strike so she could catch her mid stumble with a shoulder check. She hoped her current power would be enough to even the odds a bit.

A streak of purple flew through the darkened sky. Radasha had caught two strong power signatures out in the wastes. Two familiar signatures. Maeve and Kaula were fighting. As she approached the mesa where they were, she had to wonder what it was about. Was this a spar. Something to do with what nearly anyone with ki sensing abilities had felt? She'd heard that it had been the Queen and the Guardian fighting. One of them had been struck down. Radasha had sensed that. But it'd been too far away for her to get a read on who.
Once withing sight of the battle below, she could immediately tell one of the participants was not giving it their full attention. Kaula seemed to be preoccupied with something. She looked as if she was talking to someone. Whatever was going on was distracting her and angering Maeve, who shouted at her to pay attention. "Dammit Kaula." she growled. Gripping the hilt of the sword her daughter had given her when she departed Earth, she darted in, a blur, made especially hard to see due to the weather. Neither of them probably would even see her coming until her power spiked. With a roar she drew her sword, the blade being sheathed in crackling, electrical ki as she swung it, with all of her might. She aimed to clash blades with Maeve. She had to use her full power in order to avoid being swatted away by Maeve's sudden burst in strength.

Kaula huffed out, keeping her goggle covered eyes on her opponent as she stepped back, "Yeah. How can I focus purely on you if you aren't worth my time. The queen beat both me and Bing. By herself. How do you expect to face her, alone, if you aren't even as strong as I was during the invasion! You will just get yourself killed!" the half Saiyaness shouted out. She huffed out again, glancing back at the translucent Rei for a second, "Well.. I am glad you won't be running off again. Or that you say that. But I suppose we will wait and see before you do that, you know?" she said as she stuck her hands on her hips for a second.
The pointy earred hybrid turned her back on Maeve for a second, taking a few steps back away as she pushed her spiky bangs from her face as she spoke with Rei, "Regardless.. It would be cool if we could go back to times like that.. But.." Kaula trailed her voice off. Poor Patsy and Xitica. Would they ever trust Rei and Kaula enough to open up a restaurant near them again? Trouble always did sort of find them. And it would suck if they got pulled into it and they lost everything - again. Kaula frowned, her hand coming down to rub at her nose before she let her hands drop to her side as Rei got a bit darker. "She? Who's she? Xitica? I don't think she'd mind.." Kaula started before Rei said her final words. Kaula offered a smile to her translucent partner, "Yeah. Sure. See you soon. I'll call you in a couple days then we can choose where to meet up." Kaula said before she moved to turn around to face the opponent she had been ignoring.
A hand came up, fully planning on catching the blade. However, her mother seemed to step in. She blinked a little bit, taking a few steps back as she snapped her fingers before her right fist came into her left, "Okay. Regardless. That scouter call is finished, I guess. Reikiko's back apparently. She isn't coming here, but still. Now that I'm not busy.." the Saiyaness said, lightly picking at one of her pointed ears for a second. "How about you both come at me at the same time."

Maeve grit her pointed teeth as she met against the elder's blade but she struggled. She had found her power had been faltering against Radasha's. Eventually, her demonic aura evaporated completely and Maeve was sent hurtling back. She yelped as she hit the ground and slid back a bit. The mighty Fateburn clattered to the ground beside her leaving her weaponless as she lay back in the rain. She panted as she found herself out of breath. This wasn't right... This wasn't right at all... Maeve scrambled to pull herself out of the dirt. Her momentary burst of power seeming to be extinguished in the instant that it had activated. She looked up, vision swaying lightly as she tried to get a good look at the woman that stood between her and Kaula. It took a moment for her vision to adjust in the storm but as the lightning crashed she could clearly see the face of Radasha standing with a blade of her own. Maeve clicked her tongue before walking towards Radasha. "Stand down Radasha...This doesn't concern you!" Maeve snarled, her golden gaze bearing down on the matriarch. She took a step forward, her fierce gaze was softened by the redness of her eyes and the quiver of her lips. "This isn't some game. I'm not fighting Kaula to test myself like I did when we met. I'm not clowing around like I had been with your damn minion and that child!" She spat as she took a firm hold of her blade. "Your queen...Your queen killed my fiance...And your daughter...Is denying me the vengeance I rightfully deserve!" She trembled as she explained herself, uncaring that she blatantly expressed her desire to murder her people's leader. She closed her eyes tight, she could feel her rage seeping away to a pathetic sob of despair. She could hardly move as she felt her knees start to buckle. "Dammit... Dammit....DAMMIT!" Maeve cursed as she lowered her blade to cup her face in her palms. She dropped her blade once more and sank to the ground. She felt numb... With all of her sorrow and her rage she couldn't budge Kaula or Radasha... How did she expect to fare against the mighty queen?
Maeve has lost the will to fight

The first thing Radasha did was turn to Kaula. "If you can't give your attention to your opponent then you don't need to be fighting!" she snapped. "You can just sit there" Turning to Maeve, she raised a brow. She shouldn't have fallen that easy. Something was wrong. When she stated that this fight wasn't a game, that she wasn't playing, Radasha calmly raised a hand and fired a beam of ki into the air. It cut through the clouds above, parting them, to reveal the moon shining above. The full moon. "I can more than match you in power the way you are right now Maeve. All she'd have to do is look up and she'd transform, overpowering Maeve's current state by over double. But she didn't.
Sheathing the sword, she moved to kneel next to Maeve as she collapsed, placing her hands on the woman's shoulders, her face now holding concern. "I shouldn't have been able to knock you back like that. You're weakened......" she stated, glancing her over. She sighed after a moment. "You're in now condition to fight right now....and you wouldn't be able to scratch Zucceta at your full power anyway.....Kaula is keeping you from doing something foolish." she said, leaning in to mutter something, drowned out by the rain to anyone but Maeve. With that, she'd stand up, attempting to help Maeve up with her. "You need to return to Earth...They need to train. Maybe you can get someone to train that horrible excuse of a military as well...So there's not another North Capitol incident if there's another invasion."
She sighed again. "He wouldn't want you to vainly throw yourself at Zucceta. Especially not now."

Kaula scratched her head lightly before looking towards Radasha. She blinked once before stomping her foot down, "I'll have you know I didn't even NEED my full attention to fight her! But what I was doing is done now, thank you very much!" the girl proclaimed as she turned her head in a loud huff. She soon crossed her arms, looking up at the night sky for a few moments. Damn her mother. Butting in on such a delicate situation! It was just like her to do that!
"NOT A TEST!?" the girl bellowed out as she turned enough to simply glare at the demoness, "They hell! It might not feel like one to you, but it fully is! You say you want to fight the queen. The queen is stronger than me. If you can't get past my mother - if you can't get past me! YOU HAVE NO CHANCE AGAINST THE QUEEN!" the girl claimed as she stepped towards Maeve, watching her as she dropped the blade to the ground. "No duuuuhhhhh." the girl said, leaning in to stare at her.
"No duuuuuhhhh I am. What are you? An idiot of some kind? Whaaaat. You miss him? Of course. But you shouldn't race to death just to see him again, eh??" the half breed stated before she sighed out quietly. She rubbed the bridge of her nose as she went to crouch down near her and her mother.
"Listen, I really am trying to help you. Forget all that honor for a bit.. And just let me.. And my mom help. Go back home. I'm sure I'll see you back on Earth soon anyway." the Saiyaness said as she flashed her a smile before simply offering a hand to help her up, with her mother.
"You're stronger than this. Where's the person I met at the tournament who's ass I totally kicked?"
